Anya post 1Anya was exhilarated by all the sounds and sheer number and variety of people bustling about. She was also extremely happy she was taller than most of them and could actually keep an eye on booths she wanted to hit. It really emphasizes just how much taller my people are, she thought with amusement as she watched other Alkidikes wander the crowds, standing out like the trees they were. Her bag was already full of scrolls and books, something she hadn't expected to find here. Food yes, jewelry of course.. but books? It hadn't made sense.. but then everyone was selling almost everything from what she saw! Festivals were merely excuses for sellers to come out and make a huge profit it seemed! Here dark orbs spotted a figure cloaked and acting all sneaky sneak. Her curious mind immediately wanted to know why.. why the cloak, why the mystery? Maybe to grab interested girls attention? She thought wryly.. if so it worked! She approached him in a round about way, trying to not bully her way through the crowd but doing it on accident simply because she was so much taller and not looking down all the time, trying to keep her quarry in sight. Eventually she got close enough to poke the shoulder and smiled; "Why the cloak and dagger mystery look?"

Aseara Post 2If Kresimir hadn’t said anything, Aseara wouldn’t have looked at him. People were always staring when itotia was around and she was used to simply ignoring them. However, he’d directly spoken to Itotia and instantly Aseara turned in his direction to look him over. She had the reflex of narrowing his eyes at him as her walls went up to protect Itotia. When in turn he greeted her she gave him a stiff smile, wondering what he meant by it was nice to see Itotia again. Aseara knew at some point she would make friends, but she didn’t except it this quickly.
Though by the distance he was, he still wasn’t all too friendly with the Yaelian.
“It’s nice to meet you Kresimir,” Aseara said coolly itching to unleash a slew of questions at Itotia but remaining silent until the man was either gone or they had some alone time. The Wind woman was also surprised that Itotia had made a male friend, or maybe he wasn’t a friend at all and some patron of hers? Aseara would have to look into this.

Alassiel Post 2Alassiel watched the matches one by one; she spotted V’demha easily when the woman was up next for her battle. She seemed to be up against another Alkidike. Both seemed strong but the other Alk seemed to have the upper hand on this battle. Ally silently rooted for V’demha, but when she saw the woman go down she frowned. It had been a good match though; perhaps she would seek the Alk out after she’d seen a healer. Alassiel briefly wondered if Ziel had found Masika and wasn’t getting into any kinds of trouble like she usually tended to do.

Ziel Post 2“I'm Ziel!” The water Hybrid replied gleefully. “Yes, I’ve never seen so many of us gathered in one spot!” Now what kind of nice was this Hybrid boy. The skin was most definitely Shifter, hair was ice and Ziel thought it matched his skin quite well, and the crystals were probably leaf considering they weren’t as bright a pink as the Winds. The other girl was most definitely part Oban and her markings and eyes marked her as water. Wow, so many water Hybrids here a gathering around Masika! She was definitely going to have to hang out with her more often.

Karothdra Post 2Karothdra had finished her match against Nera and sought out a healer. Now though, she sought out Nera once again, she wanted to apologize for the damage she had done and catch up with the other noble woman, ask her where she’d been all this time. Though a quick glance around told Karothdra that Nera hadn’t come out yet, perhaps she was still being seen by the healers for her injuries. Karo felt even worst, sure this was a tournament but she would have at least held back a little on the punches if she’d recognized Nera for who she was.
Karothdra moved through the crowd intent on finding the other Oban.

Solari Post 2Solari had finished her fight but not before receiving quite the beating from her opponent. It was her first actual fight ever, and she thought she had done not too bad. She didn’t think that fighting could be such a tedious task or she would have avoided the tournament as a whole and simply left Oba instead of staying for this event. After this though, she was most certainly not staying around in Oba and was heading right away to Matori to enjoy her homeland a bit. She’d told her parents and they’d grumbled but now there was nothing they could do about it.

Takoda: Post 2 The shifter was moving through the crowds and towards the food stalls, he figure it was probably a good idea to get something nourishing to each prior ot his fight. Though the very thought of fighting made his stomach clench and his worries abound. Would he fail at this? Would he succeed? Having so many people here he felt a bit lost. Walking he found himself lost in thought though the tangy scents and aromas filing the air soon caught his attention. He was at the food stalls and just trying to pick one felt overwhelming. Sighing he looked for anything that wasn't meat based as he was almost a vegetarian he only ate meat when it was provided by his mate. Even then fish was the top source of protein he could stomach for more than one occasion. Trying to see what this stand in front of him was selling (it was hard due to the crowd of people) he found that he bumped into a woman and turning he apologized immediately. She was blue skinned with silver hair perhaps a mix? She didn't look truely like those of the ice people as they tended to have dark hair. "I'm very sorry to have bumped into you..." Takoda managed. a pet dino Takoda will chat with her biggrin

Devra Post Two The young Yaeli child was looking at some stones from the other lands, eyeing a specific one that the woman selling claimed was from Zena. It was smooth to the touch and it had some swirls of white almost echoing through the blues. She placed it back on the table, making sure that if she ws going to take it, that no one was looking.
As her eyes looked around black eyes looked back at her, making her jump.A hybrid of some sort, Devra couldn't tell, stood before her asking if she was purchasing. "I-I don't know yet." She quickly stuttered, not wanting the seller to question anything.
Just as she looked back at the stone, another hybrid joined in, looking more like the shifters that were around, yet with the water markings of the matorians as well. She also asked if she was buying something and the kid puffed her cheeks out. Why were these people so nosy?! In Yael, no one would've looked twice at her, they all knew the younglings were mischievous, Devra being no different. "I don't know yet!" She said getting frustrated. She crossed her arms in a huff and looked back at the item that she wanted. "I just like the stone..." She said as her anger quickly sizzled out.

Vepkhia .|. Post 2Vepkhia's smile grew as it appeared the other woman really liked her compliment! If she could ever make someone smile and laugh that was a good thing. It was something that was definitely in her family, she'd say they most likely got it from her father. "Well I think you're going to make a good impression." Veppy agreed. "I'm Vepkhia! Oba is hot for sure, a different kind of hot than how it is at home. It will definitely take some getting used to! My dark skin, at least, will help me from getting burnt, thank Serin." She smiled back and grabbed the extended hand. "What sort of things do they have here in Oba to drink? Me and my family have only been here for a short time. My Momma wanted to fight in the tournament." She explained. The young shifter was a little naive, but she was a little too kind to think that if she had met someone else something bad could happen.

Nadiya 2
Nadiya halted mid-step as she was approached, "Depends. Do you have a moment as well?" The rogue teased with a light grin before nodding her head, "I'm hoping that I didn't do something wrong and that you are perhaps wanting a melody." She frowned thoughtfully, "Or are you looking for something?" The possibilities were endless though she did notice that he appeared to be a fighter. At least if she was someone who seemed that strong and imposing then she would definitely be participating in the actual tourney.
"If it's about fighting then I know nothing." The girl flushed lightly, "I didn't dare participate since I doubt some kicks and a flute would win a prize. But I do have an actual moment since I'm really just wandering around. How can I help you?"

Naevius .|. Post 2"As there are a lot of outsiders here, I'm wondering if I'll even be recognized." Naevius admitted to Varinia. A majority of the people here may not have ever been to Oba before, which means it was highly unlikely that they would know what the royal family would look like. Even then, she doubted they would expect the Oban Princess to just be walking around freely among the crowd. "I'm sure you'll do okay in your battle. Just remember, this one isn't a test of your skill. You've only been training for a short time. And like you said, you'll be in the skies anyway." A smile was shared between the friends. "Lets make our way towards the stands. Perhaps I can find a good place to see everything for when you have to leave for your fight."Quote: Naevius is open for interactions! Your character is free to know her station or perhaps not. I only ask that the interactions be fairly civil. Her handmaiden/temporary protector Varinia will be with her though. ^.^ Just quote me!

Varinia .|. Post 2
"I hadn't really thought of that." Varinia said with a laugh of her own. To be the princess and not to be recognized. Well, that was sort of how Naevius preferred it, wasn't it? "There are still quite a few Obans here. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the noble's children had decided to participate in the tournament. I think I had seen a few familiar names when I looked at the roster."
Vari accompanied Naevius up to the stands and they stood there for a few minutes debating on where they should sit. The stands were fairly packed, everyone waiting for their favorite fighter or just to watch all the fights. "I'll remember. I know it won't be a judge of my skill, but it will show me how far I need to go yet. Mediocre skills won't keep you safe." She pointed to a relatively open spot and the two girls sat down.

Kieran Post 2
As he peered around the crowds Kieran froze. Had that woman been the reason for the crowd's earlier reaction? His own heart seemed to twist in his chest - it had been months since he had seen another Yaeli. Honestly he was torn about what to do. To approach her would mean that he would be revealing himself, but at the same time he had questions. Why was another Yaeli here and how could she be sitting so comfortably next to those earthlings? Was she being forced into this? He almost wanted to march up to them and help to get her away from the crowds. But what if she was here willingly? The conflicting thoughts caused him to stumble. As if sensing her master's inner turmoil Aia wrapped tightly around his upper arm. The sensation of sudden pain brought Kieran back to reality and he took a step backwards. It would be foolish just to reveal himself so easily. After all he didn't want any unwelcome attention from others....even being a cloak provided him more security than walking around with his obvious Yaeli features.
His fascination with the presence of another Yaeli was enough to distract him from the approach of the much taller Alkidike. At first he simply pulled back from the touch because he mistook it for an accidental passing - the crowd was rather thick around here and it wouldn't be hard for someone to accidentally brush against him. But the comment made Kieran frown. Was someone talking to him? Loathe to let the other Yaeli out of sight Kieran found himself turning around to confront whoever was addressing him, "Don't touch me." He immediately wanted to spit out as he realized it was one of those creatures - an alkidike touching him - but the male held his tongue. He had to remember that she wasn't one of those creatures from Yael...but even just being close to her brought a sick feeling to his stomach. "Not only does it help against the desert sun, but it's best for those who prefer to keep to themselves. I suppose no one ever taught you that." He tightened his hold to secure the cloak as he took a few steps away, "Hopefully that solved your curiosity."
Kieran wanted to curse. He was stuck now that someone had actually approached him...it was frustrating especially when he just wanted to keep moving with the crowd to keep the other Yaeli in sight...

Bushi Post 2
A few battles into the tournament and Bushi was finding himself quite entertained. He paused in watching, looking around the the stands around him, then gave a smile, "This is fun, though we shouldn't let all of these people go to waste. Maybe we aught to see about getting ready to sell things to those who are visiting?" He said to the bright blue kinfa that was perched next to him. Pushing up to his feet the big bear brushed himself off before he started to shuffle along.
He'd check in on Aatos, check on him, see how the other merchants were doing, and from there he'd see to trying to make a few deals here and there. A gathering this big meant good money, as such he shouldn't be spending all of his time watching the fights. As amusing as they were he was a business man first and foremost.
(( Bushi is free for chatting! He's also a merchant who does a lot in the way of buying, selling, and trading! If anyone is interested! ))

Lasseyn Post 2 Although her primary concern was food once she spotted Naevius Lasseyn stopped. Everyone there was pretty, and she wasn't the first Oban that the youngling had seen in the crowd, but she was much prettier then all of the rest of them. There was just something about her that stood out from the rest, and it wasn't just the person walking besides her. "Mommy... She's so pretty." she whispered, food totally forgotten for the second. Although she tried not to stare too long, she didn't want to get caught, she couldn't help but gaze over at Naevius.
