As noisy as the room was, Sascha could definitely hear someone in hot pursuit. Hot enough that by the time he registered the noise, a medicine ball had practically broken his spine. Did this person throw their entire body weight into this thing!? Sascha hit the floor like a hot pancake. HP: 10/15

Sascha stayed down there on the floor for a moment longer. Just in case the monster that just bludgeoned him decided to come back. He was fine. Eeeeeeverything was fine. HP: 10/15

Masoal was downright giddy with his victory, howling with what might've sounded like laughter or maybe a cat caught in a catfight, it was hard to tell. The lunge hadn't left him completely unscathed, though, and his wobbly legs made it hard to even think of avoiding the two balls that came sailing at him next.
Though he'd tried to raise his own ball (the one he thankfully still had) as a makeshift shield, it only really served to smush his fingers as the second ball cracked him in the leg.
Nostrils flaring, he lobbed his own ball in the direction of that laughter. Were they laughing at him?? Why did they sound so familiar???

Content that he was no longer directly in the line of fire, Sascha wobbled back up onto his feet. Time to rearm. The initial chaos seemed to have died down a little. The players were adapting to the battlefield. It was equal parts cool and scary. HP: 10/15

With his leg a little sore from the hit earlier, and the adrenaline of his victory waning, Masoal sunk low to the ground and kept himself stationary. Time for a quick recharge. This way he could hopefully scuttle away quickly if things got too dangerous.

After the past two visits left Malice a bloodied mess, it was unfathomable that she would even think to return. But she did. Shooting Sarcel Cincil a death stare as she approached, it was hard not to want to press the blame on the blueblood for having such a wild and stupid booth. No. No, she had to get through this. She would return every day if only to prove just how strong she was.
When she saw who else was entering the ominous pitch black room, her eyes turned to slits and a furious rumbling within her took over. It was that despicable yellowblood from yesterday. The one who basically ran her over. Oh. Oh, this was happening. She was going to find him in there, even if she had to hit every single person in the room.
Well, she wanted to do that regardless.

The plan had worked. Masoal avoided any more assaults while he caught his breath, and hah, wouldn't you know it, a ball rolled right up and gently papped his foot. Perfect. He was armed again.

Well Sascha was having a s**t time hitting other trolls. Unless he wanted to spend the rest of the match crawling around on his hands and knees, it didn't look like he'd find another ball anytime soon. On the other hand, the lack of projectiles also seemed to extend to people throwing them at Sascha. Silver lining. HP: 10/15

Blinking furiously in the darkness, Malice desperately searched for a ball and eventually found one. Jegus christ, this thing was heavy. Lucky for her, it was no stain of course (yes it was). Lifting the thing over her head and wobbling, Malice let out a horrifyingly loud scream. "Take this, nooksuckers!"

A shrill scream startled Sascha with its familiarity and sheer volume. It wasn't enough of a heads-up to prevent him from getting nailed in the gut with a medicine ball. Sascha nearly puked right there. The thirst for vengeance kept him standing. What was more was that he was still holding the ball that had hit him. He steadied the ball in one hand and swung his arm. His target was a lot closer than Sascha had anticipated. The ball smashed into them while Sascha still had his hand on it. Sascha's arm rattled from the impact. As much as it hurt, he'd managed to bean someone without losing track of his ball. As soon as he could regain control of his limb, he snatched the ball back to his chest and made his retreat. "Finders keepers!"HP: 6/10 blackbird cake 2 damage to Malice for her nightly beating.

Unfortunately, Malice lost her ball. No matter. She would find a new one immediately. Just... gotta... search around. Throw a few elbows in hopes to hit someone in the face. Except she was the one who got hit square in the face with, and afterwards, a familiar voice yelled. "Gog damn it!" Ball! She needed another ball!

While running away from whoever's skeleton he'd just crushed may have been the smart thing to do, it left Sascha without a nearby target. Probably. For all he knew there was someone standing directly behind him. It was any wonder he hadn't run full-tilt into a wall by now. Actually... Sascha spun on his heel and whipped the ball over his shoulder. That'll teach someone not to sneak up on him... Intentionally or otherwise. HP: 6/15

Well that may or may not have been an enormous waste of a medicine ball. Sascha wheezed as the exertion began to catch up with him. It was tempting to get back down on the floor again, but he didn't want to push the luck he'd been having with not being trampled. With any luck the people with balls were knocking some of the other competitors out of the running, leaving more balls for him to take them out with. He just wasn't dealing with the small-fry was all. HP: 6/15

The sneaking up on hadn't been all that intentional, at least not in the sense that Sascha had been his target. Masoal was getting much more used to the darkness now. The training he'd endured with Fossamom afforded him some ability to adapt and now the competitive edge he'd been experiencing was laced with that ever-present-even-when-temporarily-buried hunting instinct.
So no, he hadn't known he'd been trailing the yellowblood, though he thought he'd been trailing someone. And all he really got for it was a medicine ball to the chest. At least he'd re-caught his own ball before it could roll away.
