Ondine was fighting off monsters and demons, all with her fist. It felt like a glorious bloodbath, and around her she was defending her family and her land. Laughter filled her dream as she just continued to fight, becoming the knight instead of the princess. However, as she moved to the middle of the mass, it grew darker and she was overwhelmed, falling and falling until she landed in a heap in a field. Jumping up, she raced around, alert for enemies, until a fog rolled in.
This was strange.
Water seemed to lap at her toes, like the soft ocean, before she was surrounded by a warm liquid. It felt soothing, and muscles she didn't know were tense began to unwind. She had a war to fight, but this seemed almost too good to pass up. A little relaxation would help her work harder, so she knew she could take advantage of the break before returning to the battlefield of her dreams.

Amarone Stage 2 20 HP
Math. Science. Space. More Math.
Her dreams were a whirlwind of crazy inventions and even crazier colors, all a mix mash of success and chaos. Amarone was a beautiful mind, but her dreams were always so disorientating. Waking up gave her a headache, because she just wanted to find a way to make every impossible thing her mind could imagine. This time, however, her dream was different.
It wasn't wrong, but the darkness and the field was different, and it was just so empty.
Amarone wandered, she really wanted to wander, and she waned to find something to help or something to do. When the heat-filled mist came, she wondered if she could make some sort of fan to push it away, before her body was submerged and just accepted being there. It felt good, but she couldn't relax. Her mind continued to move, and she felt uncomfortable. And so, she pushed away and tried to find her way out.
He didn't remember falling asleep. It was one of those nights where he felt awake and vague collections of scattered memories and false expectations flicked their way through his mind like paintings on display. Akiyal spoke to his mother and father, together, about where they planned to live once travel became too much of a chore. Somehow they were always close when he dreamed of them together, despite never having met one another. Except when it came to settling down. They always argued about that.
He recalled his first kiss, and always managed to come up with a different expression for what he might've looked like when the girl slapped him, and his best friend howled with laughter in the background. Sometimes he was annoyed. Sometimes angry. Tonight he just looked embarrassed and almost apologetic.
Other memories filtered through. The time he was 'bitten' by a fish in the lake, and when he went sledding off the roof of his house with Kan and broke his wrist in the process, or when he wandered the woods as a skinny, dirty, distraught, and terrified five-year-old. He didn't feel anything toward any of the scenes. They just were, and he was on the outside, watching them happen.
Until he wasn't.
Once Akiyal was in the woods, the feelings came too. He was terrified, distraught, alarmed, and painfully alone. The only suitable course of action was to run. He didn't know where or how far or exact what from, but it was necessary to escape, to get out and go back to what he'd been doing before. When a tendril of tree root snaked out and caught him about the ankle, Aki yelped and fell.
He might as well have tripped into an entirely different world. Gone were the shrouded darkness of the trees and the eyes trailing after him, the tangle of woods and underbrush and spongy dirt beneath his feet. Instead there came mist and heat. 'Choking' was the first word that came to Akiyal's mind, and as he backpedaled away from it, he realized he wasn't on any type of solid ground at all, but pushing through water instead.
Everything was thick, heavy, hazy, and hot. It might have been fine. He had no fear of water and wasn't a terrible swimmer. But the dread of earlier moments refused to dissipate, and he was still alone. He had to get out, now.

The water just feels too perfect against your skin. You’ve been in it for... who knows how long now. Where did the time go? How long have you been in here? The questions fog your brain and you can’t seem to think right. You’re reminded of the person you had to meet, and their voice rings in your head. It’s just a buzzing but it grows until you feel hands on your shoulders. Turning around is a person, Diligence, and you’re pulled from the waters. You should know better than this! She says before the entire world around you fogs up and fills your lungs. You feel like you’re drowning and then before you know it, all you see is black.
You receive -2 to health!
|| Result B ||
You pull yourself out of the water and know you have to keep going. You have to keep working! You grab your things and get to work. But you can’t seem to stop. Your body moves on its own and it’s not long before your arms ache and your legs just want to give out. You feel overworked and exhausted and you just can’t seem to catch your breath. Your breath speeds up as you try to get more air in before the whole world turns black.
You receive -4 to health!
|| Result C ||
You relax in the waters and wait for your stress to start to melt away. After only that small amount of time you feel much better than you did, and you know without a doubt that whatever it was that you were sent out to do, you can get it done now. You pull yourself from the water and look to see where you need to be now. There’s a door ahead of you and you know you need to take it. You open it up and step into the pitch black interior.
You receive -0 to health!
The last you remembered was the world being completely black, but you’re not quite sure how you got here anymore. What happened? Before you can think much longer it’s like a light is flicked on and you’re blinded with white light. Blinking repeatedly, you wait for your eyes to adjust. There are voices around you, that much you know.
It seems as if your closest people are surrounding you! Your friends and family, all those you hold dear, they’re all there and they are talking about you. They love you! You mean the world to them. They all want to be near you. You’re in your own home, the surroundings very familiar to you now and you feel so at ease. You know in your heart that these people - they’ll always be there for you. But something has shifted. The talking is still going on, but it feels wrong. It’s not being directed at you anymore… it’s at someone else. Someone who wasn’t there before.
They love this person more than you, you can hear it in their voices. It’s as if they’ve already forgotten about you.

You can’t seem to handle the sudden loneliness. No one is paying any attention to you and they all ignore you if you try to call to them. You furrow your brow and know that you can’t let this happen. It’s not right. They were all your people! You can’t help but push your way through the crowd and sabotage their love for the new person. Whatever it takes to get them to notice you. Maybe you reveal a secret from this person, maybe you insult them, maybe you pull their hair...

You know it’s not right, for them to all turn away from you like that… but maybe it’s you. Maybe you’re not noticing something. You try to see the best in the situation and see if maybe you can be their friend too. Maybe those you love and trust just saw something you didn’t, so you join the crowd.
Post the following form in the thread to show you have selected this choice, and feel free to roleplay a response as well.
You can’t help but be upset! They’ve all turned away from you. You reach over to get the attention of your best friend, the one you know would listen to you. They will hear you out, they will know your pain and why you are upset. So you start to tell them how you feel. That it’s not fair and you just want the others back.

Jacinthus was starting to think that maybe he'd done something wrong in leaving behind that spring... or maybe it was cursed? All he knew for certain was that after he'd left it behind his desire to get back to his family in Yera had caused him to work himself into exhaustion. Just sitting around in the spring had felt as though it were just... wrong, but he couldn't just stay there, not alone, not without his mate. He had to get back! The more he thought of how he had to get back the harder he pushed himself, until he finally found himself collapsing, his limbs aching all over. Everything went dark, for how long though Jacinthus had no idea.
As he came to again he found himself quite confused as it appeared as though he'd gotten home? He just wasn't sure how he'd gotten back here. He'd been back in that clearing, then the spring, but somehow he was back? He wasn't sure how he'd gotten back but all that mattered was that he was back, right? He could see them too, his mate, his daughter, Little Kei, and his nephews, and he started toward them, wanting nothing more then to wrap them all in his arms and drag them over for a tight hug.
His relief over being home gave way to something else though, shock first and foremost followed by a searing anger. Those he wanted nothing more then to return to didn't seem to be paying him any heed, instead their attention and the affection in their eyes were all turned toward someone else. Teeth gritted Jacinthus stalked forward, hands clenched, "Chalcedony! Get away from them!" Maybe it was because he'd been away too long that his ire was up? Or was it the fact that Takoda was looking at that shield carrying fool with such adoration? It could be either of those things or something very different, all he knew for certain was that he didn't want him so close to his mate.
The two of them sparred often, he knew he wasn't the best at hand to hand fighting, but at the moment he didn't care, he was going to get Takoda back no matter what he had to do. A thought that ended with him tackling Chalcedony away from the others.

The relaxing stay in the hot spring was a nice one, a welcome one, and one that had him feeling a lot better. In fact once he was done soaking, and had dragged himself out of the spring's warmth he was able to spot the way out. Had that door always been there? He couldn't really say but now that he'd spotted he knew full well in his heart that it was the way that he had to go to get back home.
Once he went through the door he found himself... home again? At least surrounded by those that he cared about even if he wasn't specifically back in Sol. He looked around for a moment, then gave a smile. While the trip to the hot springs had been nice this was far, far better for his soul he thought to himself. Sadly that content feeling was quick to fade as those around him, those that he was happy to be surrounded by seemed to be drifting away fro him, their attention turning to someone else... and he was alone again.
It was something he knew the sensation of those. To be the one left alone, it had happened at various times in the past, so it didn't strike him as deeply as it could. Instead he found himself scanning the crowd. Surely there must be someone around he could still talk to? A friend? Anyone? He could see someone he knew well in the crowd, maybe he could talk with her? He and Keilana had a strange sort of relationship, but it wasn't a bad one, so perhaps she'd listen as he lamented about the others just... leaving him like that? He sure hoped so he thought to himself as he walked over to the Leaf Tribeswoman.
She was the only one here that even seemed to consider looking his way, so she was the only shot he had not to be completely invisible in the crowd of people that had one been his friends and loved ones.

Vollerei Post 3 HP: 23
Vollerei sunk deeper into the water, comfortable and tired and warm.... then she started to struggle when she heard Niabi and Neska call out. She had to get up! The water was nice.. but ..they needed her! The water clung and turned to stone and she sunk deeper until darkness consumed her....
Next she knew she was with her family and NIabi, a feast and laughter everywhere. She was regaling them with tales of her adventures and everything was as it should be.
But then a small comment turned the conversation elsewhere and her daughter and Niabi began discussing a certain attractive Alkidike.. someone Vollerei knew of and had always been jealous of as a child.
After a while of suffering silence of hearing hte woman she loved talking so avidly about another she decided to voice her worries... "I know she's attractive Niabi.. but... I feel uncomfortable with the amount of... admiration? I guess... you keep voicing.. Makes me feel a bit less loved..." She said softly as she reached out to Niabi.

She stopped playing when she heard her father's voice called out to her and she tried to respond.. but then the water swarmed up and smothered her and dragged her down down into the darkness....
When suddenly there was light and people all about her... people that cared for her and she was at the center of attention! Then the center shifted and she was left at the edges.. waiting for someone to notice her once more... She hopped about, wanting to see what everyone was so obsessed about; who was this person? Maybe.. maybe they were nice? It wasn't like she needed to be the center of attention.. so long as she had her twin she could really care less if the world loved her or not....

Tai tried to turn and leave, tired to get away; she didn't have time to relax! She was supposed to be training to be strong, to change her self.. but her legs were too heavy and her arms dragged downwards until she was crawling, trying to beat the sudden tiredness and weight that descended upon her. But no matter how she struggled she couldn't move and darkness claimed her.
Sudden light broke the darkness and words swarmed over her. Her village! Her family! No.. they were dead! She shivered and curled up away from their words, their attention...
She was relived when they suddenly began to all talk of another, to praise that one instead. She was not worthy of their attention! he did not deserve their love. The other one did deserve it.. anyone but her deserved it....

But when the tide turned and suddenly he was on the outskirts and not the center of attention he felt.. left out. Saddened.... but perhaps this new person was a cool one? Someone who'd be a companion? He wandered abut, trying to find them.....
