Response: Fair Hunter had picked up some various snacks and sundries- nothing huge, mind you, just enough for a couple kin to nosh on- and took them over to Gecko's booth before heading back to her own, because Gecko could probably use a little pick me up. But when she got there, there wasn't any Gecko. A brief moment of panic set in. Where had she gone? Had something happened? She reared up on her hind legs, casting about for the missing kimeti- then saw a flash of orange over at another booth. Oh. She wasn't gone, she was just taking a break. Reasonable! She left a few goodies (carefully hidden from passing customers) and snagged a token, then returned to her booth.

Kin name: Half Waking
Response: Waking was enjoying looking around the various booths and what they had to offer, along with sampling the various free things that were laid out. The orange doe had a strange setup with any number of colourful frogs hopping around and he found himself he was instructed to kiss one.

Why kissing he had asked, why a frog, but no answer was forthcoming. There were plenty of strange traditions where he lived and it only made sense that there would be strange traditions everywhere else.

Still, it took quite a bit of working himself up to it to actually approach where the amphibians were lined up for the kissing, steeling himself to kiss something which wasn't another kin like himself. Would it be slimy? Would it be awful? Maybe, if he was lucky they would taste like berries.

However when he finally reached the spot he was supposed to, the frog was gone.

He felt kind of cheated, but took his token anyway.

Kin name: Smash-and-Mash
Response: Smash-and-Mash was a totoma of fine taste in amphibians. Her own pet, Bash, was not with her at the present moment- which was good, because she didn't want him to get jealous. After all, the heart of a frog was a fragile, delicate thing- it wouldn't do to break it. Clomping up to the booth, she glared down at the frogs. She had to pick the right one- that, for instance, was clearly a toad, not a sweet, slippery little frog. A toad would not do! But there were plenty of actual frogs to choose from, and so she picked a likely-looking candidate. Dipping her armored head, she gently grazed the little creature with a sweet kiss.

This was it, the big one. Not warty. Not crawly. The colors varied, of course, you couldn't depend too much on those. There were (she thought?) colorful toads, as well as dull frogs. Eyes open, muzzle on the ready, and...?

She looked over at Gecko for approval. Had she really...? She had! She'd done it! Oh, thank the motherfather.

"I've spent days looking for you," she complained to the frog, who blinked up at her without a shred of understanding. "And the toads, swampfeathers, the toads!" But after all that she was there. She had done it. Frogs had been kissed. Days had been, well, not saved. That was a bit much. Tokens had been earned. She would put it that way. And for this monumental effort, she would receive...she looked a bit blankly at the single token a very pleased Gecko forked over.

Well, it was something, wasn't it? That, and a long lesson in proper frog identification.

Hot Underfoot was actually a pretty big frog fan - they could be, well, funny. She liked funny. Unfortunately the booth was feeling quite crowded - and watching someone stumble off, inebriated...made her feel much less inclined to actually kiss the frog. This was definitely not for her, she decided. "Maybe some other day," she told Gecko, diplomatic as possible. Then she winked. One orange doe to another!

Response: Dance wasn't all that thrilled with having to kiss a frog, but a girl has to do what a girl has to do at the moment. She stepped up to the booth, eyeing Gecko as the kimeti doe was pointing to the frog that was to be kissed. Dance the Night Away looked in the direction and let out a breath she was holding. "Umm..Looks like the frog is gone." Sounding disappointed, "I was so looking forward to kissing him too. What a shame it is now?" Apparently that was the wrong thing to say, as the doe darted off, searching for the frog. The one thing that kept the acha there was to grab her tokens for even attempting to kiss that...that frog! Not like he would have turned into a gorgeous buck. She smiled as she walked away from the booth, sometimes luck was on her side.

Snapping Crocodile decided to go to one more booth before getting something to eat and, as he randomly decided to go to this booth, he stopped dead in his tracks...and he hope he wasn't making a fool of himself (which probably he was).

The kin was...BEAUTIFUL! She was smooth and bright orange and he tail was awesome! She was opposite of him: having bumpy rough scales and he was just...white and dark green, just ordinary.

And when it was his turned he smiled, like an idiot (which he was, not a smart kin). He tired to come up with something to say and having looked around he saw that she wanted him to...kiss a frog? Snapping Crocodile wasn't too sure about kissing frogs but if that's what would make the female happy he would do it.

He looked down and to his confusion, no frog was around. "No...frog?" In realizing that the frog got away, the kin apologized, slap a token on the booth for him and ran away to find said frog.

Snapping Crocodile was upset that he couldn't talk to her. he took his token and left. The festival doesn't seem all that fun anymore.

Response: It was the last day of the market, and Fair Hunter had yet again found one of Gecko's frogs in her pond. Well, maybe. It didn't look like one of the familiar frogs, but just in case she decided to scoop it up and take it back to where it may or may not have belonged. She was dimly aware that she was coming up with a lot of flimsy excuses to check on Gecko, but... well, you couldn't blame her for worrying, now could you? Plopping the frog down, she looked around. "You've sure got a lot of frogs here," she said. "Did you come with this many? One, two, three, four, five... oh s**t." The last word, definitely a swear, came out mumbled. She'd gone down the line, touching each frog on the head as she counted it... and number five had been not a frog, but Frog- the highly toxic creature Gecko counted as a friend. Hunter's lips were completely numb, and she stumbled away from the booth after grabbing a token for her trouble.

Response: Kissing a frog sound like it could be.....bearable.....maybe.....Flower thought she could at least give it a try, for the tokens. But once she got up close she changed her mind and decided to try something else.
