Laurel snuggled the bowl that contained his new jellyfish buddy and found himself staring at a juice stand. Oh, he was a little thirsty! Maybe he could snag a quick drink? He looked down to the jellyfish swimming around in circles and smiled. They looked like pink lemonade, so that's just what he'd have to drink!
"Mmm! Sweet and sour, yum!" He giggled, taking another sip of his drink.
However, as he enjoyed his second sip, a sudden tap on his shoulder caught his attention. He turned and gasped.
"Arcadia! I missed you!" He exclaimed, bouncing. "How are you?"
The party had been going on for quite some time by the time Zalir decided to leave zeir room. Zey had been absorbed in a new book, and it wasn't until the growing noise of the room began to filter through the halls that zey realized there was something going on. Oh, there might have been an announcement at breakfast or something, but frankly, zey hadn't been paying any attention. As such, the party came as a bit of a surprise. Shyly, the litch poked zeir head into the room to see what the fuss was all about.
It appeared to mostly be other students, all busy in other conversations. What the big deal was, zey had no idea. Curiosity briefly overcame shyness, and zey slipped into the room, looking for some teacher or somesuch to explain the occasion.
Yue looked over at the game vendor, seeing as her and Morin where trying to steer clear of Meris so that he could socialize with his band mate the two had been trying to see if they recognized anyone else at the party. Yue could say she had seen some of the faces before, but they all looked busy or having fun themselves and she didn’t quite want to go and interrupt. Besides, she was currently having fun throwing Darts at a board, well Failing to throw darts at a board. “I kinda suck”
“And that is the understatement of the century. Hand over the darts.” A familiar feminine voice stated. Yue turned around to see a familiar pair of twins standing there.
“Lerin… Nasai! I knew you guys had to be around. Morin just doesn’t come to parties randomly” the geist quickly set the darts down and hugged the very identical pair of fallen twins.
Morin rolled his eyes at the girls’ antics and turned back to the board. The first two where total failures and it didn’t help at the girly squealing, or that’s what it kind of sounded like, in the background. Last one hit practically dead center which meant he could take a prize. He looked over at the prizes, thanked the vendor and picked out one of the star necklaces. “Come on lets go get a table”
Morin won this necklace

The demon girl upon hearing Jaret's voice now fully hide her face against him. Her heart beating faster as she did her best to hide the flushed cheeks she now had. Where did all her confidence go when she was around him? As soon as they were out of the work room she turned into a flustered little school girl. He was too perfect. She had to be getting ill, as she was obviously just reading into this.
Somehow Favrielle managed to keep swinging in tandem with the two of them not showing any signs of wanting to let go any time soon. All the noise and music that filled the room turned into a dull roar in the background as she took the time just to appreciate dancing with him. "I'm glad..." She finally managed to say after what seemed to be an hour.
With a smile, Jaret continued to dance with the other demon.. letting her be close for as long as she wanted. After a few moments, he whispered in her ear, "Why don't we play some games?" He lightly pulled away from her so she could see his smile, wanting a chance to show off his skills or his failures. He hoped it would be skills, he was pretty athletic. "Any game you think you are particularly good at?" he asked as he admired her. She was beautiful... all he could think about was her... well and how she would be the BEST model for him! It was certainly a plus that she also was an expert on the face painting scene.

Vaden slowly made his way around the room. It was so...loud...and cramped...was it always like this? He hoped not as he walked around the room, forcing himself to keep his arms down at his sides. He kept wanting to cross them slightly behind his back, but he didn't want others to think he was being dishonest and trying to hide something. He was a Geist from one of the cities on Zephyros after all, and he was a little concerned that others might think he was more...dishonest compared to the Geists they were used too.
He sighed a bit and gently brushed past a group of students clustered around one of the game tables. He hoped it would settle down around here after all this...while it had always been busy at home it had never been...This busy or This loud.
He stopped at one of the more empty game tables and wondered if he should play...before he'd really made a decision the keeper of the table had put a ball in his hand and told him to make a throw.
=======
"Sorry, kid." the game master said to him as the ball landed in a circle that indicated he didn't win a prize.
Kid...? Vaden frowned slightly he'd never really been addressed as such at home and it was a little off putting. "Uh...it's...fine." he said after a few moments and then wandered off towards a more quiet part of the area.
On his way he passed a lost looking Litch and he paused for a moment as he walked by. "Are you alright?" he asked.
There seemed to be some game tables set up; people were playing games, chatting, eating food. There was bunting up around the hall, too--in shades of green, purple, and turquoise. So...it had something to do with the houses, then? Zey wished briefly that zey had worn zeir turquoise sweater, but no, zey had decided on the classic cream wool today.
The plot thickened--jars of swirling glitter dangled from necks, and people held brightly colored stuffed-animals. Even ones zeir age were holding them! And Vespercats twined around necks and ankles, deep cinnamon and pure snow.
Someone spoke in zeir ear. Well, not in zeir ear, but near; well, not near, but...the point was, someone was talking, and it would seem that they were talking to zem. Zey squeaked and turned around to see a plain-looking Geist standing behind zem. Zalir blinked; zey couldn't say zey had ever seen him before, but maybe zey had? "I'm...okay..." zey said quietly, but the sound was lost in the crowd. "I'm okay!" zey said again, this time louder. "What's...the party about...? I didn't know there was going to be a house party. I would have, um, worn...something else..." Zey swallowed. "Um, are you having fun?"

He wasn't entirely sure the Litch was okay, they still looked like they were far in over their heads, but he wasn't really one to judge that. He felt himself like he was drowning, but knew how to hide it deep down where no one would see it.
"I...am not entirely sure myself." he said honestly with a slight shrug. "Something to do with the changing of the Headmaster of the school, not that I knew anything about the prior one. This is my first year here." he said gesturing to his surroundings, then once he was finished his hands automatically when to being loosely clasped behind his back. "To be fair...? Not entirely. It's very loud and not very much my thing." he said looking over the crowds and then back to the Litch.
He then realized he should probably introduce himself after intruding upon the other's privacy the way he had. "I'm Vaden." he said, a short pause and then one hand came out from behind his back extended towards the other in the offering of a handshake.
Deciding it was time to start checking out the rest of the celebration, Binhdi held the jelly jar close to keep it from jostling. She also did her best to avoid any table that looked like it might have magic going on. Though really, as many people as she saw giving jellies away, it would have been kind of silly to have magic in the room to begin with!
Still no reason for her to not try to be considerate.
"Well, little friend," she murmured, "Now what should we do?"
"Poor thing." Madla said, reaching out to lightly pet the skyfish. "That would have really put a damper on the party. And of course I'm throwing you to the wolves. That's part and parcel of a lead singer." Madla quipped, heading towards one of the games. "What other use are you, than a moving target? And don't think I don't know that you do the same thing."
Madla picked up a ball and threw it, hitting the bottles square in the center and winning herself a prize. She took another plushie to go with the one she had. "I picked out an already half-imbued stone. A carbon copy of me, while adorable, might be a little much for this school." She laughed, swinging her new plush around. "If Adora tries to steal my baby, she's not going to like the outcome. I have no qualms about sitting on her until she gives in."

It didn't. She walked around for a second before spotting a game she missed before when she was walking around. It had a ring that couldn't touch a stick that was in the middle. She didn't think it would be that hard. As Sorren tried the newest game she couldn't win any prize. She was just horrible! Every time she started it she would hit the stick in the middle and the buzzer would go off. She didn't want to give up, she hated giving up, but it didn't seem as if she was getting any better over time. With a frown she decided to give it one more try.

Cassie let herself mellow slightly, the gaggle of Nightmares everywhere making her slightly less interested in approaching the games. She didn't mind waiting her turn, but some of the games with the smaller prizes were becoming less appealing to her, especially since she nearly had a full collection of glowing necklaces. So, she waited with a smile on Jezebeth, letting other Nightmares of more ages queue up instead. "Gypso is a good name," she informed as Jezebeth got ready to roll the balls.
As the little Fallen came back, she couldn't help but laugh. "That's some funny luck," she informed, crouching down for a moment to look at the new Skyfish. "Are you going to be able to carry both of them and still play games?" she teased. "They seem to love you already." Her wings stretched briefly, rustling some in contentment against her back. It was too cute seeing the Freshling arms full with familiars.
"I think I'll be okay~" Jezebeth replied quietly to Cassie's question. She supposed she could allow them to fly around, but it's not like she had trained either of them and would they know to stay close to her. She glanced down at the two of them in her arms. 'You're Gypso....and..." She thought for a moment about what to name the other, brighter colored, Skyfish. "Bamboo! I'm Jezebeth. Please do not wander off." She gave them some little cuddles and they nibbled at her, which was received with a little giggle. She still held onto them though. Though, she could always return to her room for a small break if she needed to.
"Let's keep going!" While she couldn't hold onto Cassie's hand as they walked anymore, due to the plushie and skyfish occupying them, she did stick close to her as they walked around. "Do you have any pets Cassie?" The little Fallen looked up at the older one, but while she waited for an answer she stepped into one of the lines for a game of chance. She spun a little wheel and landed on a prize. She was handed a blue glowing necklace that she promptly put around her neck to go with the first one she had won.

Favrielle was pulled back and then suddenly was asked about which games she might be interested in. "Um I like the ones where you watch the ball under the cup and try to guess where it went... or trying to land a ball in a glass of water? Those are fun.~" Her tail swung happily as the browsed the games that lined the wall. "What are you thinking about playing?" She said with a smile.
