Roll1 71(34*1.5=51+20=71) VS Roll3 65=Hit confirm 71-65=6/4=1+4=5 phys. damage 1 poison over 3 turns. Name:Rota Level:4 HP: 83/83 Rabbit HP: 4/10 Despite Rota's best efforts, these rabbits were just too damn quick. He had cut it in the very same way as the first rabbit, but this one was fast enough to avoid even his full powered strikes. This could not stand. he saw the bunny preparing to run with full gusto, so he tensed his muscles once again. This slash needed to count, just like it did last time. A creature was suffering once more due to his inability to inflict substantial damage. This had to stop happening. Current skills in use:THSS +20(1.5 multiplier) current equipment: Name: Rookie cloak Type: Helmet (cloak) Stats: +1 roll2 A hardy cloak, resistant to the elements.
Name: Boar hide vest Type: Upper Grade: Medium Stats: when worn as a set, provides immunity to bleed, and a maximum of 9 damage reduction via medium armor skill. by itself, reduces duration of poison by 1 round, and mitigates a maximum of 4 damage via medium armor skill
Name: Rookie Medium (Lower) Type: Lower Grade: Medium Stats: up to 6 mitigation as a set, +0% to evasion
Name:Gloomweave Greatsword Type: Two hand straight sword Durability: 3 Stats: +4 damage A greatsword with a pale, sickly looking blade. Roll1 131(71*1.5=111+20=131) VS Roll3 82= hit confirm 131-82= 49/4= 12+4= 16 Phys damage to rabbit. Name:Rota Level:4 HP: 83/83 Rabbit HP: 0/10What happened next was almost in slow motion to Rota. He sung his blade just above the rabbit, sending it fleeing with his slash from right to left. As it darted away towards his left, he dropped his sword down with great force, cutting the rabbit's escape route off and taking its head for good measure. Rota had successfully ended the misery of the creature. It was a somber feeling, knowing that such a harmless creature died at his hand, but it was reassuring to know that even though he caused it pain, he was able to shorten its misery as fast as possible. He looked over to the rabbit, thinking to himself that his luck would be that it stood back up again. Name:Rota Level:4 HP: 83/83 The Rabbit broke into shards. Whatever it dropped, Rota didn't care to look right now. All that mattered is that it didn't stand back up. now the job was to scan the tree line. He had put himself in a good position to where the creature areas roughly converged. If it wandered the Gloomwood, it could be here. He had to be careful. That meant that Bears could be here too. Name:Rota Level:4 HP: 83/83 Gloomweave Spider HP: 20/20 Gloomweave spiders: A large spider, roughly three feet tall and six feet across. A successful attack from this monster will cause poison for three rounds, worth one point of damage a round. They are found near a cave, which is filled with them. Venturing into the cave will start an encounter with at least three spiders. (player gets to choose how many, but it must be at least three, plus one for every additional party member beyond one.) Once those spiders are defeated, notify a moderator for your special reward, before leaving the cave. HP: 20 -40 to all combat rolls. Immune to effects. will always attack (will attack party members at random. 1-100 can be split into as many parts as needed to ensure everyone has an equal chance of getting attacked)Rota smirked as he saw one of his old foes back for more. A gloomweave spider must have heard the commotion, and decided to come join the party. Here was a test. Could he take on the same monsters that Alyx took on in his early days just as easily alone than without him? His red eyes flashed against the sunlight as he gripped the spider sword tighter. Some would call this fitting, but Rota was too focused. He kept nimble and ran in at the spider, letting himself be completely immersed in the battle. Roll2 43(42+1) vs Roll 3 attack 23(63-40)= Hit failure Name:Rota Level:4 HP: 83/83 Gloomweave Spider HP: 5/20 Rota ran at the spider, leaping high into the air which managed to dodge the attack the spider had feebly tried to attempt on the Demon swordsman. Rota descended, blade tip down, and pierced the spider through. he also managed to crack its carapace for good measure while he fell onto it. He pulled the sword from the ground and sprang backwards, the Spider still twitching and hissing despite the serious injuries incurred. That was one thing he could respect about Gloom spiders; They never seemed to know the word 'quit'. Rota gripped his blade tight as he stayed limber to evade any strike the spider could deliver. Name:Rota Level:4 HP: 76/83 Gloomweave Spider HP: -23/20Rota cocked back his sword, and with the last bit of energy it had, the spider lunged and managed to sink its fangs into his right arm. Rota shook it off and used the pommel to bash its face in. Rota couldn't help but start to laugh as he felt the poison course through his veins. All the spiders near their den couldn't touch either Rota OR Alyx, yet this one random a** spider finally got the better of him. There was a humor there that struck a chord with Rota nd he just burst out laughing as he still watched eagle-eyed at the non-fragmented corpse of the spider. Name:Rota Level:4 HP: 75/83 Deer HP: 10/10 Deer. 10 HP, roll3 +10, roll4 always equals run away. Will only be in combat range for one post, then will be outside combat range for one post, then will disappear. As Rota scanned the tree line, his quarry arrived. The deer had come out of the trees, and was looking at him. In his heart, he felt a little bit guilty, but he had a grander scheme in mind here. Through the villagers, he had learned of the existence of a creature known a Dire Wolf. They had not been seen around the village for some time, so most counted them out as myth. his instincts told him otherwise. Not only did he want to fight one, he wanted to KEEP one. He just needed some good bait, and deer meat seemed the best treat possible for a wolf. He always DID want a dog. Rota felt his muscles tense into place to attack this deer. To harvest all it could of this innocent creature. Roll1 137(78*1.5=117+20) vs Roll 3 47(37+10)= hit confirm 137-47=90/4= 22+4= 26 damage to deer Name:Rota Level:4 HP: 75/83 Deer HP: 10/10If Rabbits ran, Deer would run too. Rota couldn't take that chance. He sprang forward before the deer could even THINK about running, and stabbed it towards the rear of its front legs in its chest. He stabbed it through the heart, the blade sliding cleanly between the rib cage and poking out the other side. He removed it quickly, and felt no damage being done to the bones, just the organs they were supposed to protect. Any poison in its system pooled uselessly in the wound, the existence of it being superfluous at that moment. The deer stood as if frozen in time for a few seconds before slumping to the ground, dead. Rota pet the deer for a few seconds, mourning its passing before standing above it with his sword drawn. The most innocent of creatures could stand up again, and they came back vengeful. Rota didn't know just how becoming a rage beast would effect a Deer, but it couldn't be anything good. Part of him wanted it to happen, the rest of him didn't. Regardless, he stood ready for if it did. Name:Rota Level:4 HP: 75/83 Bear's HP: 100/100 Bear: A large black bear, its fur fallen off in tufts, rabid from some disease it seems. 100 HP -20 to all combat rolls 1-90: attack (will attack party members at random. 1-90 can be split into as many parts as needed to ensure everyone has an equal chance of getting attacked) 91-100: rage for one round, reducing the penalty to all rolls to -10, and reducing damage taken by half.Rota was so determined to fight a boar that he forgot the biggest threat in these woods. Large trudging steps crunched every dead leaf it came across as it huffed along its way. The Player was beside himself. It couldn't be. A Bear. He doubted himself instantly. Death was a forgone conclusion. He couldn't beat something of that magnitude, not with the hits HE had been taking. Rota saw the furry, desiccated tank in front of him. What's wrong, scared? The player didn't know how to respond to that. He was going crazy. That was the only explanation. Or maybe this game had a deeper register of what avatar and player interaction entailed. Yes. You have taken a lot of hits lately on weaker monsters than this. I don't want you to die.Rota smiled as he pulled his sword further in front of him. That's convenient, 'cause i don't wanna die either. I can't do this without you guiding me.The player gulped. If I can't do this-Rota gripped the hilt harder WE CAN do this! But not if you're too scared to fight in the first place. Then I'LL die, and you'll have to think of what to do without me. Rota took a deep breath. The player was shocked, and then smiled the same cocky smile as his avatar. Rota smiled his shark-like smile, and charged at the suffering beast, its eyes filled with fury, its fur sloughing off, and its mouth slavering with madness. A roar of pain and surprise echoed against the rotten trees of the gloomwood as clumps of fur fell from the wounded area. The Bear looked upon him with disdain and rage as its mouth frothed with maniacal anger. Rota was right in his assessment. The creature WAS suffering. it was rabid. The Bear stood on its hind legs and tried to claw at Rota once more, but he dashed underneath the strike with ease. His cloak flapped in with the air pressure as Rota brought his sword diagonally upward from his right leg to above his left shoulder, cutting the Bear on its torso in an exact mirror image of that motion. the bear roared in pain once more as fur continued to fall from its torso, the crazed snarling getting more intense. The player was on edge. This had gone fairly well so far. while he couldn't see exact figures, the bear's health was almost halfway gone. He couldn't get complacent. Rota still needed him. Rota's eyes danced in the limited sunlight as he continued to run to behind the Bear's back. He held his sword straight out in front of him defensively, and readied himself to strike once more. Rota ducked the strike, shouldering the blade as the arm of the bear sailed overhead. He then moved his left had to the hilt of his sword and with a yell he struck diagonally from over his right shoulder to below the left side of his hip. the bear now had an 'X' shape of red and naked skin on its torso, and its screams of pain and fury continued. The foaming at the mouth began to turn pink as its maw began to drip blood. It was starting on its last legs. Rota stood resolute, back stepping so he was in a better position to control this fight. Roll1 97(77+20) Vs Roll3 24(68/2=34-10=24)= Hit Confirm 97-24=73/4=18+4=22/2 due to rage= 11 Damage to bear 1 poison damage to bear for three rounds Roll2 93(92+1) VS Roll3 58(68-10)= Hit Failure Name:Rota Level:4 HP: 75/83 Bear's HP: 27/100 Rota was about to move in, when he saw the eyes of the Bear turn red. the last time he had seen red eyes on a creature was the Rage Boar, so that couldn't be good. faster than he expected, the bear dropped to all fours and ran up to him, trying to bite him with its snarling maw. Rota sprang on top of the beast, using its head as a boost and landed butt first on the back of the Bear. it seemed surprised as he slid down its back, using the tip and reverse edge of his double bladed greatsword to cut it all the way down its back. He landed safely on the other side with a confused and VERY pissed off bear raging death against him. Its losing its mind. It MUST be close to death. Rota held his sword out in front of him defensively. if this beast wasn't going to go down peacefully, it was going to get one HELL of a fight. "Don't worry. Your suffering will end soon."Current skills in use:THSS +20 current equipment: Name: Rookie cloak Type: Helmet (cloak) Stats: +1 roll2 A hardy cloak, resistant to the elements.
