The fallen angel breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that her hand would be spared from the fangs. She retreated after a few seconds. "Thank goodness." It was then that the two re-introduced themselves, and she smiled.
"And I'm Solaris. Nice meeting you, Hayden." The chef accepted the handshake, but she could tell that something was off. "I guess you are feeling uneasy. Can't blame you, though, since you are still new to this place."

Kristi Taylor & Hayden and June   "Yeah, but Soleil seems like a nice place so far, right Kristi." Hayden tried to redirect the conversation to Kristi, he was nervous as usual when it came to social interaction. "Um, I think I'm gonna go... To the washroom, I'll be right back." Hayden needed to get some air, new people are stressful. Hey tried his best to be polite, he was sure Kristi had his back. He walked to the washroom and leaned on the wall in there, he knew in the back of his mind that everything would be alright, it was just stressful. --- Kristi nodded to Hayden. Once she was sure he was out of earshot she decided to give a small explanation for his... Break. "Sorry about that.. Meeting new people always stresses him out... This happens." Kristi smiled somewhat apologetically and continued petting June. The raven-haired blinked when Hayden excused himself before moving away. She was indeed perplexed at his behavior, until the girl clarified about the orange-haired guy's habit when meeting new people. She just smiled sheepishly at Kristi. "Well... can't blame him for that one. I also had a few friends back at Australia who were on the same boat as him. The struggle was comprehensible enough for me, and it would take time for them to warm up to me. Looks like he does need to have some time to warm up to me, too."

 Kristi Taylor and June "Australia, cool. Don't worry, I'm sure he likes you." Kristi replied. "Hayden is really nice once you get to know him. Plus, he really needs to widen his circles. It's usually just the two of us." June glared at her, "Three of us." She corrected herself, "and to tell you the truth, I don't really think that's healthy." She half laughed, trying to keep things light and happy. Kristi truly hoped that Hayden would make friends here, the last place they lived, well, people hadn't been very nice when they found out what he was. And knowing someone who lived close to them would be great. She sighed, "Sorry, just.. I like things simple... Friends? Solaris simply giggled. Indeed, he was such a quirky guy. By the time Kristi mentioned about keeping things simple, she enveloped both her hands to the back of her own head, gazing up at the scenery. "Friendships do take some time, but they can last for a lifetime if treated right." She then faced the girl. "By the way, since when did you two move in to Soleil? Mine's around a month ago."

Kristi Taylor and June "Heh, sorry, I'm awkward... But yeah. We just moved here. It's not even been a week, we're still not completely unpacked yet." Kristi was glad to change the subject. "So, you know at least some of how weird we are, you can ask me anything really if you want, but I'd to know a bit about you. I know you're a great chef but what else do you like to do?" She asked, resting her elbows on the table and fiddling with a pencil. Kristi was fully aware of how awkward she was at starting conversations, but what could she do? Intrests were a good thing to know about a person, let's start there. The violinist hummed when the silver-haired girl revealed that the two just came to the city almost a week ago."I see. I bet your place was still littered with boxes." By the time Kristi asked about wanting to know more about her, she simply replied, green orbs staring into the other's irises. "Cooking is just one of my hobbies, hence this job. But I'm actually a violinist. I compose music and bake sweets during my free time. So yeah, I'm musically inclined ever since the day I picked up my first violin back home in Australia." Her smile then vanished a tad as she went on. "But that first violin was gone, together with almost everything when the war ensued. My current violin was like the last piece of home. But I'm glad that I have bonded with that instrument, like it responds to my desire to share my music to the world."

Is Solaris going to catch on? I'm not gonna say it outright, but if she figures it out on her own then Hayden can't get mad. She thought. Solaris' eyes dilated in awe, especially with the ongoing drawing of the crow. "Oh, you draw stuff? That's awesome!" It was during the part about her creations that the violinist became speechless for a few seconds, blinking in puzzlement. Man, how could she be so fooled by the appearance, just because both June and Hayden almost looked real in front of her eyes?
"E-eh???? B-but they almost looked real to me! Is this like a magic trick or something???" she was sure that a fraction of the people living in Soleil would possess extraordinary powers, and it wasn't her first encounter. Noah being a smoke illusionist and then Priya with her magical singing voice. Blaze and Shinzo being both kitsune possessing fire magic and Aislinn possessing shamanic powers. Indeed, weird had become the new normal.

Kristi laughed at Solaris's speechlessness. No matter how many people she told about her power, she still loved seeing people's reactions. But then again, she usually didn't say anything about Hayden.
"Well, from what I can tell, they are real... Well, most of the time." By most of the time she meant when they vanished. Kristi had never really known how to explain their existence.
"You see, I don't know everything about how it works... One day I was drawing this little beauty, stuff happened, then she was real... I know that's not very descriptive." She said, talking about June.
"I didn't really have friends so, once I figured out how, I made Hayden... Well, I didn't really make him.. He is the way he is because that's... Just... Him. He's seventeen, or at least his mind is, but he's actually only been around for about three years. So that can kind of explain his social skills." It was weird, Solaris didn't seem scared, just fascinated.
"Also.. You seem like a nice person so I'm sure I don't need to say this but... If you treat Hayden differently than you would any normal person, then you're gonna have a really bad time." Kristi was pretty sure she didn't need to say this, but just in case. Luckily there was something about this girl, she just gave off a good-person-vibe.

The fallen angel just listened inventively, gradually processing the new-found information. She couldn't blame her for her solitary existence until she magically conjured Hayden thanks to her special ability. Even the violinist could feel lonely either, and it was only through music that her world expanded, even if was just through small steps. It was when Kristi clarified about how people should treat the orange-haired guy that she frowned.
"I... see. Well, art needs to be respected as well. After all, people like you worked their butts off to make them real. I'm sure that Hayden will feel fine as long as he's with you... and me, too." She insinuated the last part with that much uncertainty in her voice.

The fact that he isn't quite human is a difficult subject for him.. But he is real and deserves to be treated as such... Not everyone has been nice to him..." Hayden had never really liked the fact that he wasn't a 'real' person, it messed with his head. "Please don't tell anyone. You're a nice person and our neighbor, it's good for someone like you to know, just in case. But some other people may not be so good about it."--- Hayden had been trying to beat that level of that game again, he had failed. It was about time he got back. What had Kristi told Solaris? What would Solaris treat me like if she knew? Does she know? He walked up to them and sat down next to Kristi and June. He could sense something was up. She almost jumped out of her skin when Hayden suddenly spoke, a yelp suddenly escaping from her mouth. That's when she had to say something, at least to ensure that the orange-haired guy wouldn't feel like crap. "Look, Hayden. I do care. You may not be real to the others who have mistreated you, but to me, you are real, a breathing human who may have just been conjured out of the sketchbook but actually has the right to live like a normal person. I wish you can understand that."
She could only wish that he wouldn't take what she said the wrong way.
