"What?... Riley?" Estel had seen Shun attacking Morgan just a moment ago - but Riley was right, now he was attacking Percival. Had something changed...?
"Shun? What are you doing?" she shouted across the room.
Estel turned to Riley, frowning, trying to follow the thread of her argument amidst the chaos. As Shun seemed to have backed away from Percival now, Estel took a deep breath and responded to Riley: "The real fight was outside... until the gate and the mirror merged... stupid, stupid, stupid." A heavy sigh. "Are you all right?" she asked her. It was chaos in here.

Shun turned sharply as he heard someone calling out for him. His eyes narrowed in on Estel, the one who had spoken.
"He just killed Gawain. Did you not just see? He is one of them as well," he hissed before slowly raising his blade once more, "Wait... you... You're trying to make me doubt it, aren't you? You are on their side... Percival. Morgan... All of you."
Her expressions of concern before must have all been a front. That had to be it.

Everything was wrong. Gawain was dead, after he'd tried to kill all of them in his madness, and Percival had killed him; Morgan had - had Morgan made Gawain go mad, somehow? There was a subtle twisting in his words that Noah only half perceived. But he had said in cold blood, when that was clearly not true, when Percival had killed Gawain to protect them all, and the look in his eyes had showed his sorrow. Morgan was wrong; either he was mad as well, or he was deliberately twisting the truth, and neither of those ideas boded well for any of them.
Noah backed up, uncertain; did they have any chance against any of the Great Knights? Did they have to fight the men they were supposed to follow? It was all wrong. What had the mirror done? Or was it the gate? Even now, it was strangely compelling, and Noah had trouble not looking at it. Others were beginning to throw themselves at the Great Knights, and Noah wondered with a pang of worry if any of the apprentices he had met would fight - would fight, or even be struck down.

Horace breathed deeply and launched himself into the fray again. His blades slashed out, catching Percival in the side, but it wouldn't be enough. He grunted in frustration.
And, before he could do anything else, he was pushed back into another knight - a rather pretty man who seemed disinclined to take part in the fight. "Sorry," he muttered, gathering his bearings. "Just here to watch instead of try and break it up?" He felt his eyebrows rising into his hairline.

Zar staggered back in fright and gave Horace a wide-eyed stare, backing up to the wall. "I should just very much like us to survive this!" he said anxiously. "I wish people wouldn't fight at all, we are already in so much trouble."
He might have been trying to put Horace between himself and the fighting.

ATTACKING MORGAN - 49 TOTAL DMG

HP: 20/30 Attacks: 2/3
He staggered away from the retaliatory blow from Morgan, favouring his right side, epithets leaking from between his clenched teeth with every hissed breath. Fresh blood stained his clothing and he found himself grateful that the strike hadn't been deeper than it was. That was too close. That was way too close. He needed to be quicker next time. He couldn't keep sustaining that kind of damage. He wasn't going to last very long if he did.
Arrakis cast a wary look around, just in case anyone defending Morgan came for him. He was not going to let himself be taken by surprise. Sure, he was aware of the fact that he wouldn't know if someone took him by surprise until it happened, but... he was going to do his best, at any rate. He needed to pause, to regain his breath and bearings after the blow to his side. Was it a dangerous wound? No, not by itself, but... too many more of them and he'd go down. He was not ready to go down. He, at the very least, wanted to find out what was happening before he had to pack it in.
That he was starting to accept his death as likely inevitable did not escape Arrakis' notice.
No, no. There was still a chance he'd make it out of this. There was still a chance while he was standing. But he knew that standing wasn't going to do anyone any good, including himself, and he ran in for another try at Morgan.

[ Thackery Entering ] (kind of)
For someone who had been so dramatically lamenting a single injury to Violet's Great Knight, Thackery seemed entirely uninterested in any of the much more serious violence going on around him - including the demise of Gawain.
He held two pieces of gold as he sat on the ground nearby, and was wiggling each of them back and forth in alternating turns, as though they were speaking to each other.
"Prettiest Prince, beeest snake!"
"Uh-huh sure is!"

ATTACKING MORGAN - 53 TOTAL DMG
Stats
HP: 15/30 Attacks Used: 3/3
That was a better strike than last time, he thought, but he definitely didn't escape unscathed. Arrakis invented new words to force through his clenched jaw and gritted teeth. He was less hesitant this time around, however, and almost immediately ran back in. He landed the best blow yet, but the return strike had blood streaming from a gash above his eye, blinding him quite painfully. Arrakis grabbed for the collar of his shirt to press against his face, trying to stem the bleeding. He was panting, now, as exhaustion from the rapid sequences of fighting began to catch up to him. Adrenaline could only last him so long, after all.
Well, it was just going to have to last him a bit longer.
Arrakis stumbled away from Morgan, tingling setting into his hands and feet as he realised he wasn't breathing properly. His breath came in short, sharp gasps and his eye burned intensely from the blood that had spilled into it. He wasn't going to be able to go in for a fourth try, he knew that. It hurt almost as badly as his eye and wounds to admit, but he was going to have to rest for a moment, to try and stay out of the way of anyone else, to try and escape the notice of anyone who'd seen him go for Morgan who might take exception to that. He was no use to Percival dead.
Fingers clenched around his sword, he slumped against the wall and focused on slowing his breathing and heartbeat. Spots danced in his vision and the tingling had started in his face as well as his hands and feet. He pressed down harder on the gash above his eye, willing it to clot already. Little rivulets of blood tickled in front of his ear as they streamed down. Sure, he knew a face wound was going to seem worse than it was, but that didn't help slow a racing heart. Even, measured breaths, in and out, in and out, as his eyes darted over the area. The tingling was slowly subsiding, even if now he felt like he couldn't get quite enough air, chest tight and painful.
In and out, in and out.

He sighed. "I can understand wanting to survive - but don't you think any help would be good in getting at least one of them incapacitated?" Horace pulled out a roll of linen from his pouch and began to wind it around his arm, where Percival had gotten him with a rather nasty slash.
"If you help out, then this ends more quickly and maybe we can get our s**t together before the shadows come. Unless, of course, you feel like twiddling your thumbs while Camelot comes apart."

Zar shook his head. "Not at all." he argued. "If I side with no one then if the Great King walks in here in oh say, five minutes time, then I will not be in trouble for attacking any one of my peers. If I strike, well then I would have to explain why I am fighting one of my superiors wouldn't I?" he tossed his ridiculous silver mane of hair and looked Horace over.
"You aren't very bright are you? If Camelot does come apart, those who are going to escape arn't those who are not presently bleeding, wounded and or attacking their superiors." he waved an elegant hand in the direction of the fighting. "I am quite sure it will....resolve itself anyway."

Attacking Morgan - 55 Cumulative Damage
It seemed most of the others understood Morgan as the clear and obvious threat. That was a relief, considering he couldn't seem to land a hit.
Ignatius had retrieved his weapon, ready to attack once more. Hopefully he could actually land his mark this time. He didn't like being a loser. Being a loser was not for him--ha! It made its mark, and Ignatius let out of victorious whoop, only to find that he was spotted and swiped back at.
Wincing, Ignatius steeled himself for a greater hit, quickly attempting to retrieve his weapon... When he heard a familiar voice over the shouting. Chickenpoof? Where was Chickenpoof? Ah, there she was. Who was that other knight she was with?
Ignatius really wanted to keep attacking, but all the same, he was called and clearly needed for something. He should go handle that instead. Besides, his shoulder hurt now. Not that that was an excuse! Definitely not! He wasn't bleeding profusely like his questing partner over there.
Yeesh.
Ignatius tapped Arrakis on the shoulder, murmuring a, "Maybe you should handle that," before running towards Piper and her other knight friend that was standing there.
"Hey! Everyone alright over here?" He likely meant physically, all things considered, though he might have been asking in general...

Oh, it was the redhead he'd gone questing with. His head tilted so as to look up at Ignatius. "I'm fine," was his reply, monotone note in his voice reinforcing it when he continued, "just tired." The bleeding on his leg and side had stopped by now, even if his clothing was sticking to him uncomfortably because of it. "Face wounds always look worse than they are." He pulled his shirt away from his forehead, inspecting the amount of fresh blood on it. The face wound was still bleeding, but not as badly now. The tingling in his body was going away now that he wasn't breathing so fast and shallow.
Because of this, as Ignatius moved over to a pair of knights nearby, Arrakis dragged himself to his feet and limped after him as quickly as he could. He might as well stick by someone he halfway knew. Better than sitting alone and trying to get his second--third, fourth?--wind. He didn't know these other two knights, but he wasn't opposed to the idea of that changing. The more the merrier, and hopefully they were alright.

Horace was too tired to find it in himself to muster the energy to truly hate the man. So, instead, he laughed, full and loudly. The other knight was just so disgustingly prissy. "So what you mean to say is that you're a coward and are only concerned with your own skin, huh?" He looked as if that was the funniest thing he had ever heard. And it was funny, if only because it was such a ridiculous notion. The shadowlings surrounded Camelot on all sides - where did he think he would run to?
"And if the Great King comes in and asks you what you did to help resolve the situation, you'll say 'why nothing, your majesty'. Do you think that looks better than those who try to do something to change the outcome of things?"

Jason was lost in a sea of confusion and horror, unable to comprehend what was going on. Gawain had been slain? And by Percival? The very idea seemed inconceivable to him, and yet it had happened.
He didn't want to think about that, and chose to instead focus on his allies. What had happened to them? He searched the area for them until he located them. Riley seemed to be alright, but Yuki had been seriously injured. Even he could tell from so far away the wound sustained through his shoulder was grizzly.
"RILEY!" He called out, rushing towards them. "YUKI!"

Brenley had listened rather intently to everything she'd had to say, but when she was done, he could only really respond one way.
"Morgan's... not human?"
He chewed on that bit of information as the girl called over one man with red hair and got two for her trouble. He nodded at both, in greeting as well as to indicate that he was still in one piece. If she had only told him that Percival had been the one to kill Gawain, he might have gone after the blue knight (probably not really), but all of this was just confusing. At least he felt safer with more apprentices around. Slightly.
"Can he even die?" Bren shifted his weight, glancing over at the melee. "What if this is just making him angry?"
