"Hmmm....." Otto pretended to think long and hard about it. "Okay." He handed the box and fork over to Chance. And of course, made grabby hands for the fries.

Chance promptly poked Otto in the hand with the fork just because he could. But the fries were passed over, along with a smirk, and Chance carefully cut a small square bite from the cake, forking it into his mouth.
After a moment of chewing, he understood Otto's reaction.
"This cake," said Chance seriously. "is a ******** masterpiece. By the way, there is a burger in there for you too, I preemptively assumed you'd want one eventually."

Otto's eyes widened. "For real?" ******** yeah he wanted a burger! And it was best to eat it now, while it was still hot. Cake could wait. Otto went for the burger after few fries, and took a large bite out of it. It was greasy, juicy and perfect. "Mmph... gunna die." He murmured with a sigh, both hands full with burger glory. "How is food so damned good?"

"If you die, you won't get anymore food," said Chance airily, taking a bite of his own burger. It was damn delicious, he couldn't deny that, and sure as hell beat the crap out of the supposed "food" here on the island.
"This is definitely one of the better afternoons I've had here so far."

"One of the better ones in general in a while." Otto concurred. He ate most of the burger, before setting it down back into the bag. He'd had cake, and burger and some fries. Otto was pretty well full. He let out a groan, stretching his arms over his head before flopping onto his back. "There. Dead."

Chance finished off his own burger, taking his time and wiping off his hands and fingers before he leaned back as well, folding his hands together on his stomach. Overhead the sky was a pleasant blue, and it wasn't too hot, a breeze rifling through the air.
"If you're dead, who will I go to my monthly and bimonthly food trips with?" Chance deadpanned.

"I'unno." Otto murmured, half gone from a food coma. "Bring my ghost."

"Does that mean you'll haunt me if I don't provide you with some smashing ghost cake?"

"It's your own fault." He said haughtily, "You got me hooked on this stuff. The ghost cake better be just as good."

He reached over and prodded Otto in the ribs with the plastic fork.
"It's only as good as a ghost can taste," said Chance breezily. "I'm sure it tastes hauntingly good."

Otto's reaction to the poke in the ribs was to jab Chance right back with an elbow. "Lame." He retorted. "Ghost life sounds lame too. I'll just stay alive so I can eat normal human cake." And only for the cake.

He squirmed away from Otto's elbow and just snickered, the prongs of the fork bending as he prodded harder.
"Yes, good, that's an excellent reason to stay alive," said Chance grandly. "Cake, and your simply amazing friend Chance Bones who is definitely the best person ever."

Otto smirked and grabbed the offending hand, locking it under his own arm in an attempted wrestling move. "Yeah, he was amazing until he started jabbin' me like I was a Thanksgiving Turkey!" He laughed.

Chance gave an indignant squawk, attempting to yank his hand free by pushing his foot against one of Otto's legs.
"I dunno, you look pretty turkey-ish to me," he said with a smirk.

"Dude what part of me is anythin' turkey like?" He barked back, hooking one of Chance's legs under his. Working off the heavy lunch would be easy with a bit of horseplay/
