coffee creamersThis was perhaps the first time Oliver had been able to stand up to someone on the island with any confidence. Albeit Chance was currently in bed injured, and was agreeable enough to begin with... It was still a situation the boy could benefit from. Appeased by the partial agreement for peaceful, not-running-with-sharp-tools actions, Oliver was more willing to turn to the topic of zombies. "I-I think so, he was really tall for a zombie, but all rotting and had a couple bone limbs with no flesh on them..." The young teen tried to think back for details, but there was very little that wasn't obscured by adrenaline-powered panic. "I don't know if he ate brains, but he was really smart, uh, for a zombie. Not like in the movies at all, more like, um... More like us, thinking and talking and stuff."

the late shiftFinn nodded, coming to the conclusion that it was, indeed, the same Hel he had met twice before. And with that thought now firmly in mind, he had to wonder how often she stalked those haunted house halls and just why exactly she did so. She had, however, asked him a lot of questions the first time they had met, so that might have been a bit of a clue. "Don't worry, she kicked my a** too. Twice. I think we're about due for round three." Especially since he was full hunter now, he actually felt like he might stand a chance. "She asked me a few questions, and I asked her some as well. A little tit for tat. I asked her to send a message to a horsemen for me, one I believe you may remember quite vividly, though this was before you met that dumb b***h. She asked me for my eye patch in return...and I gave it to her." He shrugged, not finding this to be all that alarming. She was, as he had said, fairly reasonable. "I honestly saw no reason for hostility with her, considering she seemed fairly intelligent if not a bit boisterous." In a small way, Finn was glad to hear she had kicked Chance's a**. Not because he thought the other man deserved it, but because he thought it would be a shame if anybody hurt her. He liked her. She was fun. But then again, Chance was in the infirmary, so she was also, apparently, quite dangerous. Hrm. What a conundrum this was.

Peyton perked. "Sure, anytime you're up for it. I've been all over this island." Not quite so far and wide as say, America, but the smaller girl had done her own explorations. The correction made her smirk, and she gave a small shake of her head accompanied by a soft tsk. "Hey now, let's not get carried away." Pearly whites flashed in a grin. "I said their was charm in easy-going. You," and she'd lift a hand to gesture at him. "Went to charming. Either way, I'm not sure yet. Haven't gotten to know you well enough to make that judgement." Sinking back, she crossed one leg over the other, hands settling on top of her thighs. "But attractive I'll give you." And here that subtle flush returned. "And interesting."

girl scoutsFelicia flashed him a double thumbs up, mouth full of cookie. Hell, hand full of cookie too. Somehow, she managed. After swallowing hastily, she bobbed her head in a nod. "It's not s-so bad. Used to help a friend. I'm t-terrible, though, f-find someone with a pro ability. Mimsy, m-maybe." It might sound like she was saying Maebe, which, wouldn't be entirely the worst thing. She did have dyed hair. "Huh. C-cool! I mean, uh." She looked briefly apologetic. "Not cool that you g-got creamed. But I like knowing the b-bestiary, you know?" Attentively, Felicia listened to Chance, making mental notes of everyone he mentioned. "It's soooo t-true. Who woke you up? F-family did for me, but I can say w-without weirdness Dwight's pretty okay. That n-nerd aesthetic. Who w-woke you up? Not met Claude yet, or Leslie. Will have to ogle f-for. You know. Research. B-big fan of Maebe's look too, b-but I'm a sucker for that classical k-kinda beauty." She sighed wistfully. It was neat, though: both her and chance seemed to have a mutual appreciation of, well. Anyone.

He laughed, running a hand through his curls. "I'm not so sure I would ask Mimsy for help with something like this, per say, but I definitely do appreciate the good doctor's intelligence and her wit. She's quite fascinating and one of the more interesting people on the island."
He waved a hand at Felicia to indicate he wasn't offended by her statement. "No worries," said Chance, giving her an easy smile. "I get that I got my a** creamed but it was still kinda cool knowing what it was that did the a** kicking."
A hum of thought escaped him, Chance reaching for the cookies again as he contemplated the question. "Haven't met Dwight myself," he said. "And Jack woke me up, but like I said, he is what he is. Claude's got that rogue pirate kind of hotness, and from what I've seen of Maebe on Twitter, she's got that easy confident sexiness that's pretty appealing."
Chance smiled. "Seen anyone that you like yourself other than her?"

Chance made a face. "That sounds revolting," he said cheerfully. "I'm definitely not sure I would want to run into one of those, so the next time one of them comes poking around, you'll make sure to take care of it for me, right Oliver?"
He beamed at the other young man in a totally innocent sort of way.

He grinned. "Potato, potato," he said, pronouncing them the two separate ways just to tease her. "But I'm glad that I at least have some positive reactions towards me, that's definitely a lot better than some of the negative reactions I've gotten, even if you took back the whole charm thing."
Chance relaxed back into his bed and laughed. "Now you're just trying to get on my good side," he said, smiling up at Peyton. "But thank you, your compliments are much appreciated, especially in coming from a lovely woman such as yourself."
The charm was back, with just a hint of mischievousness to it.

the late shift
He gave Finn a sidelong glance that clearly said that he was glad that even as a full Hunter, Hel had managed to do some damage. Chance relaxed a little into his bed, idly toying with a stray thread that was sticking up out of his sheets and listened to Finn talk.
He winced a little. "Yes, I vividly recall a Horseman," said Chance, a little dryly. "But she wasn't exactly hostile with me. I think I might have just annoyed her a bit with my personality, or maybe she just found it amusing to toy with me. I think that was definitely in the cards as well."
Chance shifted a little, flinching at the uncomfortable pressure in his chest, and turned his head to look sideways at Finn.
"She was relatively interesting, I will admit. I did, however, stab her in the hand, so she's probably not my biggest fan right now."

the late shiftFinn gave the other man a rather bland smile. "Well, I never actually stabbed her so, there's that as well. Christ, would you stop making enemies of every living and potentially non living creature in that world? That's a lot of pressure to put me under." The smile widened slightly and he finally stood, stretching his arms out to the sides. "Okay, back to work I guess. On a scale of one to ten, how much do you think you absolutely suck right now? Oh, and maybe throw in how much pain you're in as well."

Bownie bitePeyton was grinning at him, a mischievous, playful little curl of lips that sat well on delicate features as she smoothed her palms along her thighs. "Maybe a little charm," she relented, and it was her turn to wink. He smiled, she lifted her hands in a gesture of surrender, small shoulders coming up in a shrug. "Oh no, you've figured me out." Feigned disappointment, it wasn't at all convincing, but she wasn't trying to be, either. "Maybe I am." Small fingers came up to rest against the side of her cheek, elbow on the arm of the chair. "Is it working?"

girl scoutsFelicia nodded her head at Chance in her bobbleheaded way. "B-bugging a doctor about hair d-dye would f-feel kinda weird, huh?" She tugged at her own split ends with a shrug. Hair care was not, in fact, part of her purview. (Her hair probably wished it was.) "Oh! JACK!" She giggled. "The one w-with all the Zoolander model posters around. He's a*****e h-hot, for sure." Lips twisting, she steepled her fingers. "D-don't think I've met Claude, b-but I love a dangerous..." A pause. "Claude a lady or a d-dude? I think 'I love dangerous' s-speaks for itself anyway, I guess, regardless." She giggled snorted. "America, f-for sure. She's so dreamily s-sure of herself, you know? Like, she knows w-what she wants and all that, from all things in life. K-kinda girl you don't know if you wanna bang her of b-be her or just admire her from afar, you know? Maaan. Confident p-people! I usually feel that way about them."

the late shift
He just gave Finn a look that he usually reserved for Claude, darkly amused and exasperated all at once.
"I don't make enemies of every non-living creature," he said indignantly. "Just the ones that I don't like, or maybe they smell funny."
A smirk touched Chance's lips.
"Zero," he deadpanned. "As for pain, maybe a five or so, six if I laugh too much."

He laughed, because Peyton was interesting and amusing all at once, and he liked the way that she seemed to hold herself. Chance eased back into his pillows, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips.
"So far, yes," he said lightly. "I mean, to be fair, I have yet to actually meet someone that would go on what could be deemed as my bad side, but you definitely fall into the category of positive people that I've known so far, so I would consider it a win-win."

"Yes, that's the one," he said, snapping his fingers together and looking faintly amused at the mention of Zoolander posters, even if he hadn't seen the movie that they were actually from. "He's an interesting guy, but seems a bit too in on himself sometimes. Some people like that, though."
A laugh escaped him. "Claude's a lady," said Chance, eyes twinkling in amusement. "She's pretty badass - you should meet her sometime, though be warned, she doesn't talk so much."
An understatement at best. Chance ate another cookie. "America's got some ******** fantastic hair," he said, his mouth full of deliciousness. "Well, and from what I've seen, a really appealing personality as well.
He gave Felicia a nod. "Basically, what it comes down to, is that this island is full of very attractive people."

The late shift"Right, sure, just how about giving me a little fair warning next time so I can go to that ******** up house with you? I thought suns were supposed to travel in pairs or some s**t." At that point he was up on his feet and checking charts and monitors and whatever else it was that he was supposed to check. "Well I see you managed to retain your fantastic sense of humour. Oh, and denial as well. How lovely.Anyways, I'll see what I can do for the pain. In the meantime, try not to find anything too amusing."
