It took Irene an excruciatingly long time to get to the fairgrounds. While everyone else could just run off, she was forced to move at a much more sedate pace. Every time she tried to speed things up, she could feel her chest seize up painfully, and she knew that pushing it further would just result in her passing out on a roof somewhere.
So she walked, ********* in her arms, arriving at the site far too late to do any good. There was debris everywhere, evidence of the battles that must have happened. Maybe were still happening. That there was still the slightest chance she could make a difference was the only reason she was able to push herself as hard as she did.
She could hear voices, none of them distinct, coming from inside the funhouse. Her entry was as slow as everything else, which at least meant that neither the rolling tunnel nor the sliding panels caught her by surprise. Still, it took all of her focus to navigate the area without falling.
"Stay alert," she whispered to *********, her voice almost completely gone. "If someone sneaks up on us, I'm not sure I'll notice while dealing with these."

The round cat squirmed a bit from the senshi's arms and soon enough climbed her way up the girl's body until she was perched on a shoulder, perhaps making the girl a bit lopsided when it came to weight distribution.
"You can count on me!" she chimed in as she also surveyed the vicinity, nose twitching delicately again.
[Mod permission granted to do both entrance obstacle rolls at once. Irene and ********* are occupying the same space! Please quote me if engaging!]
Megrez noticed that one cell was significantly more crowded and noisy than the other, and she promptly marched up to crash that party. The other cell could wait a bit, since it seemed to be attended to. "What the HELL is going on here?" she demanded, and then she saw who the captive was. "Mintaka," she said softly before kicking into complete high gear. "Get the ******** away from her!" For the sake of getting in an attack in quickly, Megrez called up a basic egg and tried to crush it on the head of the first lieutenant that came to mind (Jet).
Glitnir followed into the room behind Megrez. "There's way too many people in here. I'm going to try and fix that." Struggling a little with the lack of space, he tried to swing his scale at another lieutenant in the mix (Aquamarine[/b)], though he was distracted by the presence of a certain familiar lieutenant with a hat (Aurostibite). Maybe he could go for a rematch next.
Sadachbia bolted into the room with a surprising agility, her fist ready to clock the first lieutenant she happened on (Seraphinite). It was the same trick she had used on bullies for ages, and to gang up on a captured lady like this meant these guys were just bullies in fancy getups. They would either get out, or she'd pummel them to paste like she did with that one boy who harassed a little girl every day on her way to school.
Quote:
Let me know if I missed anyone! It's going to get crowded in here, if you don't mind me crashing the party XD If you do, let me know and I'll move them along.
Pisces had absolutely no idea what - or who - just used what. They were senshi - she'd barely heard if only because she hadn't entirely numbed out sound for favor of another flashback, nut the words of the General caused her to seem to simply go entirely submissive. Terror was wracking Pisces and she felt her breath coming in short, shallow gasps, her heart beginning to pound against her ribs in alarm - possibly, even her ribs were constricting.
Collection? Was he taking her starseed or worse? Was she a pet? The idea glanced through her mind briefly and she was honestly not surprised to think Negaverse agents kept Senshi as pets, if some noises she'd heard were a clue. Her stomach clenched in terror and then she whimpered, a low frightened keenas her chest clenched and the senshi suddenly felt fear begin to come on rapidly fresh and new and beginning to purge the logic from her mind. The threadbare remains of logic clamored for the thought this General had summoned another, and they were going to try to kill the Eternals trying to help her.
And the Senshi of Imagination was powerless to stop it.

Out of the tunnel, things didn’t get better, and Subamara realised she was hardly the only one falling for the Dark Side’s traps. They could leap whole buildings, but a Home Alone tunnel was too much. Well, now she knew, and they weren’t going to get her again. She pressed herself up on the ball of her injured foot briefly, testing the ankle and finding it sound, while she surveyed the smooth flat floor that was downing those around her. Sliding bits. Yeah, all right then.
Subamara took off again in light, bounding steps, passing over the slippery footing. They should look for a way to break that if they were going to be dragging people out, she thought, but she could already feel new auras blackening the passage further in, generals, maybe a youma. There was never any time to think. She kept going.
(Sailor Subamara HP - 47 Sliding floor tiles - OK!)
The satisfaction of seeing the metal and cut glass brooch hit the General definitely decreased substantially when the a*****e lobbed his dagger at her. Hissing in pain as it buried itself in her shoulder, Chariklo stumbled back. What a pity that the weird bead magic couldn't have drowned the ******** in bling. What a bigger pity that the senshi who'd cast it wasn't in sight.
Yanking the dagger from her shoulder, she growled as another General appeared, then dived as arrows were shot. Yelping as one went into her thigh, Chariklo began to mutter and curse as she tore it out. Oh, Ava was going to be so pissed at her coming home with new scars!
"Better a traitor than a cowardly, murderous little ******** like you. Least I don't need to get my jollies from hurting little girls!"
Her heart sank as she saw Ida doing to best to pull attention solely to herself and wondered what the etiquette might be for telling a transcended-weird-future-Princess-senshi off for being a self-sacrificing idiot.
Ignoring the blood that was leaking from shoulder and thigh, her fingers scrabbled on the floor for a moment before closing around a bit of broken wood. Moving as quickly as she could in spite of her injuries, she stood and lobbed the makeshift projectile at the General, hissing in hate. She needed to get closer. Hell, she needed a better weapon. Too bad she couldn't use any of the chains that were holding the little frilly senshi in place.
He'd meant to keep on and reach the deeper corridors, doors, whatever waited there. It would have probably been more helpful. But then there was a general right in their midst. And shortly, as he got pushed to the walls with other people just ignoring that fact, there were two generals.
And just barely any sort of concerted efforts being made. Athene and Ida at least. Who...who even is that ? He pushed off the wall again, catching sight of the Dark Mirror Eternal at Ida's flank and aiding her. The woman looked so familiar, but likewise from a distance in his memory. Memory? Closing one eye brought it to the fore with the pain of a headache. At the Oasis, from the distance of never going there, sometimes she'd be near the entryway trying to get Ida to eat or sit down for half a minute, or just get some air. You're just standing being useless, Thraen.
The advantage of archery is its distance. It is not a close up weapon. Get to the archer. He'd been shot with an arrow at another battle months before, knew what to expect from that and what dangers the volley posed to the others and to the still bound prisoners. It was another graceless scramble through people and obstacle and space to reach the level of General Two on flank. With magic being out of the question for space, he was left with throwing out a swing to try to clothesline General Two.

People everywhere, it was so hard to breathe or keep an idea of what was going on. Especially since they were all in what amounted to a hallway with some doors on either side. Sandrine'd spent the last seconds-minutes-haditbeenHOURS? trying to not get smushed back to the wicked moving floors. Then there were people with weapons and magic was going off and shouting.
And blood. Good grief the doors opened had revealed the worst of the worst and those poor people. Bile had to be swallowed back down. Well, it isn't like these guys with arrows and pig stickers are paying attention to me. I can help, right? Assault from behind and all that? Just...just don't hit anyone ELSE, Jack. Lopping scimitars at guys in capes isn't exactly on your professional resume.
"By the Sword!" The magic called, Sandrine drew fingers along wrist and then hucked the formed blade at the guy with the floaty beads and dagger and who was totally getting up in the business of those Eternal Senshi. "Mine's bigger, jerk!"
There were plenty of senshi up ahead, and Subamara could feel the generals in the room to one side – but she could see the skull-headed youma on the other side, and while the flower crown senshi and the two younger scouts seemed to have it under control, she figured it wouldn’t hurt to take a swipe while it was distracted. That counted as helping, right?
Subamara wasn’t one to let a good bit of momentum go to waste. She’d worked hard building that up! And her leg was already a little bit wonky, but her boots were probably the strongest weapon a non-combat girl like her had. Or possibly it was just a glorified loss of balance. Subamara skidded on her petticoats in a barely-controlled luge and attempted to slide-kick the ram-skull monster in the leg as she slid past.
What she didn’t see was the ball pit on the other side.

Palatine had barely any time to check that Ganymede was alright when another voice haltered her in her tracks outside the cage. She turned just in time to jump out of the way as the Captain charged at her, with the result that the harpoon tip just grazed her thigh instead of impaling right into it.
She gritted her teeth against the mild burst of pain, placing herself directly between the Captain and Ganymede's cage. It left her no way out, but like hell was she going to let this a*****e get even a step closer to her ******** off,” she warned him.
It was all the warning he'd get. Not two seconds later, Palatine hauled off and punched the Captain in the face.

Lucasta's hackles raised at the presence of a Captain. They'd all been too distracted with their rescue attempt to notice him there, it would seem. She rose at Ganymede's side, turning her back to the Senshi to place herself in from of her, hissing and spitting like a demon risen from the depths of hell.
She considered leaving the cage to offer her assistance, but the Captain and the Venus Squire were evenly matched, and there were others in the area to offer help if the Squire should need it. Ganymede, on the other hand, was completely defenseless—practically powerless, clinging to life through stubbornness more than strength. Lucasta backed up a step closer, lowering herself to the floor like she meant to pounce if the Captain drew too near, claws and teeth at the ready.
It seemed a party was getting underway in Mintaka's cell.
First the cat, then Seraphinite, and now another Lieutenant whose name Aquamarine was currently unaware of. Then again, being so new to the Negaverse himself, he'd not had many chances to learn the names of his cohorts. He tended to stick by Jet and Seraphinite and not branch out too far, seeing as he was still a bit uncertain about his position.
It seemed ridiculous that four Lieutenants would be necessary against once small cat. Aquamarine rolled his eyes at the picture they made. Perhaps if they were pitted against the Eternal herself it would be different, but she was weak and cowering. There was nothing she could hope to do to either free herself or defend herself. She had no yet been unchained, and she'd been kept so drained of energy the use of magic would be impossible for her.
Which left them with the cat, about as harmless and defenseless as the Eternal.
“Cool it,” Aquamarine told Seraphinite. “It's a cat. Lover boy's fine. No need to get all bent out of shape.”
To the unfamiliar Lieutenant he turned a curious expression, raising a brow as he looked the man over. Aquamarine hoisted his plastic sword over one shoulder lazily, trusting the other two to keep the cat at bay while he was otherwise occupied.
“Who the hell are you?” he asked. It was obvious he didn't care if he sounded rude.
Unfortunately, that was the moment three others paraded into the room. Then all hell broke loose.
Aquamarine moved to dodge the scale but it came down on his shoulder despite his best efforts. He seethed from the blow, glaring darkly at the page who dared to interrupt. Quickly he lashed out with his plastic sword, aiming a blow for the page's head.
“Who the hell do you think you are?” he said, angered by the interruption.
He'd not signed up for this when he'd joined Jet in the room.

Well, he was going to try fighting the youma, but then another senshi showed up. Oberon stared at her in exasperation, not sure why she was trying to push him away when he was obviously wanting to help. “Why? Because I’m younger than you? I’m not a child!” he frowned, cursing his role as a Chibi Senshi. If only he was a bit more powerful, these people wouldn’t see him or any of the other Chibis as nuisances or waste of time.
Oberon ignored the girl and rushed forward, swinging the metal rod at the Youma in an attempt to get it to back of. “She’s not yours! Back off!” he shouted at the monster, not caring if the other senshi would scold him for being reckless. He was the senshi of Adventure after all! Of course he was going to be a little reckless. She should just be grateful he wasn’t using his magic!
Lucky for all of them, the Ram youma seemed to be greatly outmatched now that they had two senshi and a very sufficient chibi senshi. He knew his attack wasn't going to do much damage as he was trying to avoid hitting the others, but did what he could.

Jet let out a frustrated growl, watching as the cat tried placing itself between them and the Eternal. “Here kitty kitty,” he hissed mockingly, although thankfully for him, Seraphinite was willing to take the brunt of some of the damage the cat was dealing him. There wasn’t enough time to properly take out the cat, as another lieutenant showed up, claiming to have something with needing to blah blah about the senshi.
All Jet could hear was that he was trying to take credit for his work. “I don’t think so,” he glared, turning towards the dark haired lieutenant. “I brought her in. She’s mine,” he pointed out, annoyed by his attitude. Aquamarine seemed just as confused by his appearance, so that made Jet feel a little less out of the loop.
There wasn’t enough time to get a story from him as there were three others that showed up, and an egg hit his shoulder. He spun around, furious at the attack. “What the hell do you think you’re doing??” he yelled, summoning his two plastic knives and launching himself at the orange haired senshi. He aimed a punch at her face, hoping to follow through with a pull of his knife across her cheek.

Sessrumnir nodded when Ganymede told them where to look for Valhalla, his blood running cold when she hinted at what condition they would find him in. He tried not to be involved, lest he turn out like the Mars Page who was snarling and hissing in her emotional turmoil, or the Mercury Squire who seemed kind of weepy and prone to outbursts. It didn’t help in trying to get to their end goal.
He was glad she was alive, at least. But he also was okay with leaving Palatine and the strange cat to tend to her. Unfortunately, before he was able to get too far, a captain appeared with a harpoon. He mentioned something about starseeds and the way he spoke really just ticked him off.
“Go on ahead,” he told Alexandria and Themiscrya if she could hear him as she took off. “I’ll catch up.” His stormglass was summoned to his hand, and he turned back towards the room where Palatine was dealing with the Captain, swinging the large vial filled with liquid at the man. He was not in the mood for games today.

"Guardian kitty, you should get out of here." Mintaka pleaded with the small creature, "please, don't hurt yourself..." for her. She wasnt worth all the trouble.
The room exploded into a frenzy though as Auro, thank god, joimed. He wasn't far ahead of three order units as Megrez and motels little band came through.
Mintaka pulled at her chains. "Help me free. Help me free." She whispered at Auro mostly. Her eyes darted as the lieutenants were distracted by the other senshis.
"Please...I cant...not much longer." Whatever fight she had against the lieutenants was waning and she felt heavy. Oh so heavy.
