This time the goo-girl put her serious face on and avoided any taste-testing whatsoever. She removed the frozen paws from the tart treats and mixed them in with cream. She was prepared when the bowl started thrashing and with one arm, the other was firmly holding the biting bowl down, poured in the fear sugar. With the bowl under control she continued to beat the mixture and in increments add fear sugar till she was ready for the mint julep ribbon. She mixed that in too and plated the wobbly pudding. It looked as yummy as the other one. She removed one of her gloves and ran her finger around the bowl before she licked off the remaining pudding. It was delicious!

Once that dish was served, he got to work on the tea deer. Back in the kitchen, he peeled the leaves, trying to be as delicate has he could. The de-leafing and shaving of the tea deer went well enough. He got that in the fridge, getting ready for the next step. Not wanting to waste any time, he started to pick out the mashers to go with it.

Pulling the tea deer out, he got it sauted and thrown into oven. That going, he started de-eying the mashers. He tried to get it done quickly, missing a few eyes as he had to rush back to the tea deer to keep it from burning too badly.

With a low growl, he plated the deer, rushing through to finish the mashers, only to find the side dish staring at him from the plate. Brilliant, he'd managed to burn the deer and hadn't even managed to get the eyes all out. Screw it, the customer could deal. She was the one who had to make it difficult, changing up the serving sizes and all.

Dish 3: Strawberry Tart Treat Blood Pudding



He had made one already and he was confident that he won't make any mistakes in this. Skillfully plucking enough strawberries for the terrific bloody red color, rinsed, drained and diced, the fresh cream was added in. Remembered the customer demanded a hold-back on the cream, he didn't add too much just enough to bring up the smoothness of the final texture. The mixture was mixed until the color even out.

Next and the most important step was to fight with the alive mixture. AJ has his sleeves rolled up, which revealed the firm muscles underneath. He clamped the bowl under his arm and sprinkled sugar bit by bit so that the movement of the mixture gradually progressed instead of an outbreak. Head helped by pushing the bowl from below, blocking the chance that it can slid down and escaped.

Holding the whisk, he beat the mixture in a high speed. Adding more sugar and beat again. The mixture in the bowl bounced and yelled, AJ treated it like a kid stealing foods before their hands washed, the whisk hit and stirred, folding and bending it. The color of it slowly turned into reddish, and he added the final round of sprinkled sugar. Legs crawled out and teeth-like features appeared, it rose to snap at AJ's whisk, pulling it against the force of the boil. It was a purely face-off of power.

Not surprising, the boil won and the blood red mixture surrendered. Adding the ribbon that produce amazing julep into the mixture, he stirred vigorously until it gave a sweet aroma. Pouring the mixture into a container, it was sent to fix in refrigerator.

To facilitate the removal process, the container was soaked in warm water for a few seconds, not affecting the pudding before he slid the knife along the edge to get it out. Here where the remaining syrup came into use: a small amount was used for spun sugar decoration while the rest were used for plate decoration.

Turning the plate around to clean it, AJ believed this was his best dish made that day. Therefore, he was wearing a full beam when he served the dessert. "I hope you will like it."

Alright, one dish down, one more to go~
Luckily, it was the dessert, which didn't need a lot of ingredients, or steps, so it was virtually impossible to screw this up, not that she screwed up the first dish. Everything was PERFECT.

Gathering the strawberries, she started to mash and mix them, wondering why they were kinda clumpy (and not noticing she missed the cream).
Well, maybe she just needed to beat it more.

Adding FEAR sugar, she began to beat it, but her paw slipped, and the bowl started to run away.

What was she supposed to do to lure it back?
Skimming over the instructions, she located the jar of many many, shaking it to catch the bowl's attention, and then... opened it and poured them in.

And then she continued to add more FEAR sugar and beat it some more. Beating food to a pulp always made it tastier.
And then she garnished it off with the mint leaves and a ribbon, not realizing the ribbon should probably be removed because it wasn't edible. It was there because style.

Keen drifted into the room near the back of the group, and she managed to barely hear what was being said. The reactions though said a lot to her. It seemed this round was going to be a hard one, not that she was too surprised about that. It only made sense that each round would get harder.

As the crowd moved forward Keen was able to see the mounds of ingredients including some she would have never taken as edible. Yup this would be a hard one. Then she saw the food.. she had to make things like that? They almost glowed with perfection. Ack! Keen nearly slunk to her station thinking to herself that she was in severe danger.

Red team... she caught that as she looked at the ingredients in front of her. She was on the red team. She had to... had to make food others would eat now... points... feed.... try not to fail.. No not try DON'T fail.


Keen looked at the list and took a deep breath before heading out to find someone to feed. She could only pray that it was not going to be someone tough.



As she ran into the dining room she could see people all over talking and waiting to order. Now she had to choose well and get someone that looked important and wanted something that was not going to be too hard for her to make.. maybe someone who was... well... someone who was not going to be picky?

Keen rushed over to a shadowy figure that seemed rather impatient, wondering the whole while if she had lost all sense of reality. She swallowed and bowed her head to the man, writing down on a note pad a greeting.. not that it mattered as all she heard as soon as she got there was:

"Can I get the dessert and entree only, and make it fast."

The figure glanced at their watch several times even as it spoke. Keen nodded to the customer and scurried off taking notes as she did. Fast.. they wanted fast.

Jala had heard about some sort of cooking competition happening on campus, as well as various students wishing to partake in it in an attempt to seize fame and fortune. 250,000 silver pumpkin seeds were definitely tempting, but her parents had money, and there was no way she was going to slave away trying to earn the approval of some snooty cooks who thought they were above and beyond everyone. Having her serve others? Ha! As if. They should be the ones serving her, which was why she graced these shabby students with her presence, taking care to flaunt her assets to both boils and ghouls alike. That's right, creeple, gaze upon this beautiful body and weep.

Well, while she was here, might as well scope out the competition and see what kind of food was being offered. She frowned when the menu was extremely lacking in meat, and huffed. What was this? Were they trying to starve them? Meat was the essence of everything! Why, in these courses, they treated meat as nothing more than garnishes. It was an insult!

She snapped her fingers at a nearby chef, and crossed her arms.
"Excuse me, who prepared these courses? They are extremely lacking in meat. Please tell whoever is in charge to step up their game. This is outrageous."

Extremely outrageous. Why, when she was back home, they always had the finest meat to eat, and the ratio of meat to garnishes was 3:1. Perhaps their budget was lacking. What sad, poor creatures. She supposed it wasn't the fault of these poor contestants. It was clearing those higher-up's fault, giving such second-grade food.

"Oh well, it's not your fault, sweetie. I'm sure even a creature of your caliber can make do with this. That said, I'd like two servings of the Panty Crab Ripsotto and a serving of Tea Deer Skellington. I'd like two times the amount of crab, and less rice. Add a tad bit more brandy, and keep the panties." she winked.

"For the Tea Deer, please leave out the leaves and mashers. Ghastly things. I'd like the meat of ten different kinds of tea deers, and don't overcook it. Rather, I'd prefer if it was undercooked. Leave out the wing garnishes, but drizzle it with a sauce of your choice. Thank you hun~"

Instructions given, she waves you off.

Keen flushed in despair and started on the dessert, that couldn't go as bad could it?

5 Tart treat strawberries..not an issue, plucking the berries.. also not so hard.

Okay now add to a bowl with... five ounces of cream? Hmm seemed a lot but okay. She poured and poured making a creamy swimming pool. and she tossed the berries into it where they kind of sank to the bottom looking like they were just as worried as she was.

She then added the fear sugar to the mixer and started to beat it mercilessly, working herself to a tired frenzy, taking out her worry on it. She kept working but no matter how much sugar she added it didn't seem right, in fact when she was done the mix was kind of... like a pale pink sugar gloop.

Okay now it was done right? Hmm yeah that was a mess...

A bloody strawberry puddle... wait what was the mixer mint thing? Uh...

Keen rushed back to the kitchen feeling much better about the chances of not making a mistake this round. The meal she was to make was just three desserts after all and she was not so bad at that. Okay she was but as she had thought before, practice should make it better.

Starting on the first dessert Keen headed to get the tart treats, mistakingly getting three types instead of just Strawberry ones. The first of the treats seemed to have little rolled up papers.. contracts or something on them. Uh... okay, maybe that was proper and she just hadn't noticed it before? She took a couple of them and tossed the tart treat demon away. The next was the normal strawberry and that was not a problem, she picked the berries and moved on to the last strange one. This one had hearts on it, and well, they were red at least so that worked. She plucked the red hearts and tossed all the weirdness into the bowl.

Adding the cream, this time in a more reasonable amount she got ready to start mixing. Turning on the mixer and adding the sugar was good, and things seemed to be going well until the mixer started to try and run away. Keen frowned and grabbed the bottle of many many and..... opps some of them got added too.

Heh.... keep beating the mixer and pretend nothing is wrong.. maybe it will not be noticed.

Keen this time remembered to add the mint julep without ribbon to the mix

The end result was a lovely... shredded contract, heart and strawberry blood pudding with many many legs, with a lovely mint Julep syrup.
