January 23rd, 2019: [NPC] Gaia Staff Welcome Back! Quote: Features With the development of bringing in towns 3 and devs working on the gaia app along with other things around the site it would be nice to have an update on lanzer's journal. it's been since before the holidays that it's been updated. There will be an update to Lanzer's journal soon, he had been posting on other channels as of late. Jak Bauer 2sammygate miscso many staff who quit or lose their jobs often don't come back as regular community members to the site. any idea why? Hi there, I used to work at a comic book store. I haven't been back in since I left. It's not that uncommon for it to happen. And, just because they haven't been back on their staff account doesn't mean they aren't back on mules (or that the staff account WAS the mule). I know of a few that do that.

February 1st, 2019: it amy Apollos Liar I give you guys props for finding new ways to make spending money on the site fun. Something dynamic and enjoyable is a great idea and it breaks up some of the monotonous sales. I'm glad you guys are excited for it too. But really, please don't hype this kind of stuff like you did. We were all rooting for something really cool that didn't involve GC. We're just really disappointed now that we were waiting in hot anticipation for something that wasn't going to happen. We appreciate your feedback! I feel like gaia is really out of touch with the user base. RIP Or at least polls for future items in this "feature" I was under the impression users wanted us to revamp the mobile app and we've all talked about the changes to the bonus cash system for months (or years depending how you see it) and how we could improve the bonuses, rewards and program itself. Correct. Thank you for that. Its definitley appreciated. However this is pretty much a second tier thats nowhere close to as appealing as just a normal tier. Tiers are great im glad they didnt end up disappearing. But this is like a tier knockoff that nobody asked for. People wanted a bonus gcash replacement of sorts, i dont think this is what anybody had in mind or would want. Spend money for a month or more to maybe afford an exclusive item. Not really motivating. Cant wait to see the ticket star prices if it becomes a thing. Although only items are in the store right now, we hope to have other types of rewards in the store whether it is bonuses itself or other things Gaians could enjoy. How you use your Gaia Cash or stars is ultimately up to you, and we're always open to your feedback. it amy mank demes The staff noticed could have simply stated that a new reward system is coming and we would have understood that this wasn't going to be a new feature for us to enjoy. Nobody is upset that you guys are trying to earn money and incentivize buying GCash, we're upset because your wording was incredibly vague which led us to believe something new and exciting was coming to Gaia. February 20th, 2019: Lanzer Katrina Katherine Item perhaps?A few weeks ago someone mentioned that a whole lot of rigs have the 'continue' and 'stop' buttons on top of each other, or widly spaced out, or in other odd positions, and I believe Lanzer said to make a list of the ones that do that. Where would one go about posting such a list? Would it go in the bug report forum? Or should it be messaged to a staff member? Please post any items here in ATS or you can PM me directly. Thank you!

February 26th, 2019: Lanzer yandear Featuresso, just out of curiosity (and forgive me if this has been asked before, but)... what ever happened with possibly of allowing for announcement control? c: i know you guys have a lot going on, but is it still a possible thing? thanks! That's another aspect that had been discussed many times internally. We haven't come up with a consensus unfortunately, with many core features that we have yet to build and update.

March 5th, 2019: Lanzer x siobhan FeaturesIt seems like there's a disconnect when it comes to communication right now. There wasn't really a lot of information about the vday event before or after and a lot of users were unsure why they suddenly had extra money in their account when they received their rewards. Also, people were confused by the sudden change to the daily login rewards. A lot of people still don't realize we're getting the daily stamps even though it doesn't show them now. So my question is... is there a plan going forward to improve the communication between Gaia staff and the community regarding changes and events around the site? All users should had received a PM when the extra gold is granted. It would had been a bug on our end if no PM was received after the gold grant. We will be sure to add more info on the event guide if that type of info is missing. We always try to make things self explanatory, but there are always aspects that we might miss, that's when it's super helpful for all you guys to provide us with feedback.

March 12th, 2019: Lanzer Knight Yoshi Feature: better bug and feature request trackingHave you guys considered opening JIRA to the Gaia community for bug tracking instead of the Bug Report forum? It has many more benefits that you can link/flag duplicates, set the status of the bug, and other stuff (as you guys are already using JIRA, from when Lanzer and I discussed, I think this makes sense). Even if you don't expose it directly, but instead leverage the API interface. I think this is a much more practical way of handling bugs and feature requests rather than the chaotic Bug Report. You could even grant certain users (make it community driven) the ability to flag duplicates and whatnot Thanks for the suggestion, we will look into setting up Jira for public access. Have you guys ever thought about putting out a survey/poll asking what your users' income brackets they fall under? April 9th, 2019: Lanzer Woo Mee FeaturesCan you make it so completely new announcements are seen before repeated ones? We have a maximum of 5 announcements kept if we're away, which is fine, but I want to see NEW ITEMS and not things I've seen a hundred times already. It's frustrating, especially when I don't always check the previous day's csu to see what I've missed, and it's not something everyone else may do either. Please consider somehow doing this, not everyone is in your time zone and not everyone will be awake when new updates happen, so you miss out on possible item sales because of it. We will look into doing that.

Instead of this, would you be willing to make a poll/survey about this and take into account user feedback and potentially change your course of action based on the feedback you receive? We had a whole bunch of surveys lined up to go out (some already have) and a future one include this topic! Some of us are finishing eating a late lunch and afterward more surveys would be sent out!

July 30th, 2019: Yuroppa Purrstel The Golden Boleyn Ticket Survey:Whenever we get a survey asking us about how we feel on a matter, I just see it as you guys are already gonna do it regardless. I understand why Gaia would benefit financially from directly selling tickets through PayPal and credit cards but I’m gonna say that you will lose a lot of customers because people will no longer be able to do collaborations. If you look at the list of items on user RIG days you can see the velocity of how many users cannot sustain it on their own. I just wanted to say that if this is to happen, which if Gaia is taking the time to ask it means it’s already in the works, I hope that Gaia really focus on the backed up queues before making this direct buying thing the new ticket process. I'd like to add onto this topic by asking too why do only some people get the surveys?? I know random selection is a thing but..I have submitted a lot of tickets and still am submitting and I didn't directly get this survey. I think that's very upsetting and a bit unfair. You should want everyone's opinion right? Also I agree that setlling tickets directly, unless a lot of changes are made to prices and que times, would drive a looot of people off. I think this is a bad idea and the fact Gaia is moving to mostly direct cash sales is very worrying. The survey was sent to those who purchased and/or submitted specific ticket types during a certain timeframe. There will be more surveys to come! This was just one of many surveys sent out this month to various groups/demographics on Gaia!

August 14th, 2019: it amy MrTwinklehead Art With the recent art related contest it clearly showed that there are A LOT of really talented artists on this site. I'm kind of curious to know if there could be an official art sharing thread where the art in that thread could have a chance of being featured on the front page? Could encourage more creation and could also maybe serve as a nice way to find artists. Naturally, the art have to have some relation to Gaia Online and be within the site rules. If it would be implemented, it would also be nice if there was a "cool down" for each artist once they do get featured, because it would kinda suck if there was only a handful of artists being repeatedly featured if a lot of people do end up sharing their art in that thread. I was trying to get a submission page up and running a while ago but there were a few things I needed to be changed (on the backend) before it could truly be published. Not sure what the theme of the next LK event would be but we can potentially include contest winners if any entries fit within the theme. It seems like there are usually only 2 or 3 staff members ever actually answering questions in the thread, with the occasional artist taking the time out of their day to answer. It would be nice to see other staff members that cover other areas of the website, like marketing for instance, taking some time to answer a question or two along with you guys.
