March 19th, 2019: [NPC] Gaia Staff Welcome Back! Quote: Misc: A ton of NPC sprites are boken images right now(likely since the transfer..). In particular; most of the Zurg and LabTech sprites have been affected. Can they be fixed? Yes please let me know of any NPC accounts that aren't working, and I can restore the avatar. Lanzer Jasette EventsAny plans to invest in plot soon-ish? Gaia is p boring for me without plot. Manga costs dollas but plot can exist sans manga for a bit? I have some NPC related features slated, hope to get around to it after releasing the mobile app for testing.

There are some very important user guides/archives on the event in there; and It's just not user accessible. I don't think that was an intentional thing. The Event foums are supposed to be archived, all the other event forums were moved to memorable threads, so people could read through them. Will do!

May 14th, 2019: Jak Bauer Shallotte Misc.Late last week, all(or most) of NPC's profiles have been blocked from user access. Why? Some of the NPC profiles had stuff on them; like the Zurg profiles and Gambino's Memorial. Now users are blocked off from being able to see the profiles or being able to post comments on them- And that's a huge bummer for a lot of us. Especially when character data and their journals were there. Now we can't access it. NPC's profiles are always really interesting; and the blocked access just kinda.. breaks the immersion. Because right away there is a barrier there, and they don't feel like interactable NPC's or tangible residents of the site. They just feel like robots that can be turned on or off. This was especially a problem with Flarn. Once he returned in 2016, his profile access was blocked and his account was botted. And it broke the immersion entirely. I just don't agree with NPC profiles being blocked. I'd like to see the permissions restored. Hi there, You should be able to see NPC profiles again! Lanzer We increased security on profile pages so that banned accounts cannot keep their contents running, unfortunately we mark all NPC accounts as banned to avoid any chance of those accounts being hacked. That issue had just been fixed.

They have many valuable threads, including LabTech062's retirement party, that I would love to be able to have access to. Thanks for your time! That's odd, they should all be accessible. I heard there were a lot of entries, but you'll hear back sometime this week! He ordered a new outfit but he didn't choose priority mail... Consider how he has no money (which I'm still try to figure out how when he has a job), it makes sense he ordered third class since priority, first class, and express are expensive. ninja He is currently prioritizing rent, food, and gifts—I guess somewhere down the line he forgot clothes.

October 8th, 2019: Jak Bauer Shallotte Jak Bauer Shallotte Events/Misc.So, we've heard that you guys are considering potentially re-introducing [npc] interactions for the next event and events going forwards. There are some ex-mods i've seen/talked to, that may potentially be interested in applying to play some [npc] roles(some of them already having played certain roles in the past and are very knowledgeable about past events/characters) .. But have been unable to re-apply for mod positions in years, likely due to the past management. If any of these ex-mods/staff wish to apply for an [npc] role- would you consider them? Even if they aren't currently mods? And how might they be able to apply? I just thought I'd ask. Hi there, I am not quite sure what the plans are for the event, so can't be positive we will be going in that direction. But you and any other ex-mod/staff can go ahead and inbox me and I can collect the info for the future. Oh sorry, I know it isn't a certain thing. I just know that the last few ATS, some staff confirmed interest in doing [NPC] roleplay events again in the future. I know of at least one mod who'd like to reapply for [npc] roleplay positions if they can; but have been unable to get applications through ever since Gary's team entered the picture(they voluntarily left modding for a break before Gary showed up). Thanks! I'll be sure to let them know(They are unable to attend ATS). And i'm sure this information is useful for some other ex-mods who are thinking of applying for the same thing. Well if any ex-mods wish to come back to Modding just let me know and I'll get you the info on what to do. Since you have already been Moderators you would not need to go through the usual application process. Lanzer The Halloween event is well under way, but I'm hoping that the Christmas event or other events in the future can have more NPC interactions. Having Gaians be a part of the narrative definitely is part of where we want to be, we still need to figure out the process of application and selection, and we will work on a system to handle that. I've a simple form to collect Gaian's opinions about their favorite NPC's, will share the tool with everyone later this week.

I wish I could read all of the submissions, too! I want to put together a results page so people can see the aggregated results, as well as vote for what they like or found funny. It should be released after Halloween. 3nodding Lanzer Exhululath Features (I suppose...) Hi! I wish to know if we have a time limit to submit and edit our contributions to Gaia NPCs; if yes, after the expiration date will you offer us the same opportunity for different NPCs, since Gaia has so many? Currently there are no limit, and what we do want to do is to potentially open up for voting. As the feature is more established we will open up more NPC's. Then of course we will need to put together a meaningful event with the data we collected.
