I have been trying to clear out my inventory of junk items (e.g. house items granted from the daily chance), but it's been such a long process having to click and trash every single one. June 5th, 2018: Lanzer Princess Kunzite FeaturesThere's been an issue here for the last little bit where newly released items (from within the last 1-2 weeks, I believe) aren't showing up in inventory and dress up search when you try to find them through their tags. If you go through the tabs of your inventory you can find them, but for people with large inventories or just wanting to look for certain colors or items, it's been a real pain in the butt. Can this please be looked into and fixed? I'll look into it right after ATS today. 3nodding

Welp, that's disappointing. The boxes remain useless to me then. I was going to ask about boxing (and tagging) by individual poses, but if something can only be in one box and it only applies to items we own, there's not much point. Except tagging by individual pose, that would still be veeeeeeery helpful, but that is pretty unrelated to boxing. Is it because you want to try on items that you don't own? So here's my response finally: Nope! Not all on its own at least that isn't the case. It's already plenty easy enough, in theory, to try on items we don't own. We can try them on in the market place or the shop previews or in invo search in the dress up page or in the avatar builder. The real problem is in FINDING items. So many items exist it is easy to forget about them, or remember them, but forget their name. There's a HUGE thread in avatar talk forum devoted to just the problem of trying to help people find items they remember, but forgot the name for. Tagging is still a work in progress for improving just having all the good, relevant tags added for when you remember an item exists, but that doesn't cover so well still forgetting about things even existing in the first place which means you don't have much of an idea to even go looking for them. We also have so many items that it's practically impossible to simply buy everything you currently or ever may want to use just so you could sort it for easier finding theoretically in these boxes. That's why I'd want to be able to box things in the avatar builder even if I don't own them AND why I'd want to box things in multiple boxes. I'm picturing using the boxes sort of like a personal collection of tags where the sorting/tagging system helps me find things in whatever way I personally find most useful, like in my above example where I may want a box full of shoes I like and a box full of certain blue items I like and one pair of shoes may also be blue, so I'd want to find it whether I was looking for shoes or blue items (or if I could look for an overlap of stuff, look up specifically things that appear in the shoe box and the blue box, that would be great too) and maybe it's an expensive item that I haven't been able to buy yet due to saving up for it or not being able to justify the expense until I find the perfect outfit for it or it's rare and I couldn't find a seller yet, so though I may want to find it later and don't want to just forget it exists, I don't own it yet. Also, as for the wish list, that currently has a 1000 item limit which is a lot of things to look through, but still not nearly enough compared to how many items are on Gaia to fit everything you could want on them that you haven't bought yet (seriously, I've burnt through multiple wish lists, totally full) and the wish lists don't display all the poses of an item either, just the default pose thumb nail, so it's easy to look at the list and forget about poses in the item that you liked or why you wanted something, what particular purpose you may have had in mind, like an item that's good for some cosplay or that has some useful layering or something. Good suggestions but I'd settle for ANY coherent system of finding items and poses in my inventory without hours and sometimes days of searching at this point. I use a computer rather than a mobile device so I want a system that isn't clunky on it too. Boxes were designed for mobile devices and are not integrated with the main inventory system last I heard. It depends on what you mean by integrated. It was designed for both. If it were only for mobile I wouldn't have put in keyboard controlls, mouse-overs or mouse wheel actions. Did you try the latest version? codemonkey37179 glengrin I mean I was under the impression from what you'd said in past AtS, you could use boxes or the regular inventory arrangers but the two could not be used together. I was waiting for the new system to further develop and potential bugs to be worked out before I tried it on my very large and fully chaotic inventory (thanks to the shuffle bug of months past). Are you saying that now is the time to do so? How do I access the box system? No, what I meant was that they didn't interfere with each other anymore. Before if you arranged a box, it would re-arrange your regular inventory. It doesn't do that anymore. You can access the boxed inventory under the My Gaia tab at the top of this page. This makes it difficult to sort when in picture mode. Can someone please look into this and fix it, as this is the only arranger I can use that will not jumble my invo. What do you mean not jumble? As far as I know, the current inventory will sometimes still jumble up other parts of the inventory if you try to arrange too much. For example, sorting things on page 14 on the inventory will cause items on page 4 to mix in a patterned way. I don't think it was ever fixed. Lanzer gave it a go, but then it was announced that you were making a new inventory (box system) and it was kind of abandoned for that.. But the box system is not for sorting an unboxed invo at all. We didn't abandon it. Yes, you have to move things into boxes to sort them. There was a bug that affected main inventory when sorting, but that was fixed.

Edit: Just to make things clear, I'm really talking about the locker folder when we open it in the newest inventory. so you are saying you have trouble opening the locker box in boxed inventory because of the number of items in it?

Other then that ANY FUN things planned for the near future other then RIGs galore and cash shop releases. Sounds like you need boxes! Adding a trash can would be a nice feature though. That actually sounds better so you know exactly what you toss in the hit send all to trash or all to dumpster. Doing it one item at a time is.. well time consuming and sometimes it gets rather annoying lol I know we have a trash button, but sending being able to drag multiple to a possible trashcan would be a nice feature to get one day Actually, we do have a trash feature in the new inventory. I meant an entire box just for trash, but I forgot the feature was already there. I think it limits to trashing 5 items at a time. July 31st, 2018: Lanzer MissJewelsOfChrist Features ?about inventory, could we have have like a wishlist lock where if we pick items in our inventory to lock so they dont end up in marketplace sells when selling items ? i just dont wanna accidentally sell my items i worked so hard to get. and i wanna pick which ones i keep and which ones i sell (example: if i had too many ancient katanas of 10 and i just want an option to keep 1 or up to 5 and get rid of the rest for auction) im not saying soul bounding em just making sure they dont show when im ready to sell stuff. That's a good idea. Maybe we can integrate that into the box system.

However, shortly after, a couple days or so? they started acting weird? Simply put, when you search "simple" or "backdrop" in the "my inventory" section of closet, only a few of them (black, bubblegum, silver, lavender, pumpkin, wintermint) show up, despite owning all of them. This is just human side, paw side none of them show up. THE WEIRD THING IS, searching all gaia brings them all up with either of those tags. Is there anything that can be done to make sure they all show up via user's inventory again? I think some parts of Gaia uses a different search engine. I'll see what I can do to unify the results.

So we listened to the feedback and kept changing and tweaking. Now more people use Towns 2 than Towns 1. I expect if we keep listening and adjusting it will be much the same. Not at the very moment as we have a lot of migration related work to do as Halloween event is coming up. If there are specific issues or problems that is urgent, please let me know here. Well I'd say it's pretty urgent mostly because some people can't even open their RIG's because they have issues with the Special tab. We've found a work around that will do, but it's really upsetting some people. I have been trying to keep a detailed bug list which is found HEREThis other issue is a bug that deals with the inventory and trades.When one tries to make a trade with someone it starts on the equip tab. The only problem the first page of Equip tab remains loading endlessly. You have to switch to another tab and it will bring up items of that tab. Then you have to switch back to your Equip tab to be able to choose a page number since they don't show up till you do this. As long as what you want to trade people isn't on the first page of your equip tab you can do this work around to do a trade. You might want to add that to your bug squishing list too. This has been going on for 2 weeks give or take with no word from any mod. or admin. till now. I will be putting up your reply in that thread so others no and we can get the word out that you at least know about it. Thank you for the report. I'll get things working again ASAP. Lanzer Pedrique Features - Search EngineI know that you are shifting to a better search engine, but I wonder if they're gonna support reserved keywords such as "and" or "off". For instance, some items are tagged as "off black" (with a space) but if you search for it, it will simply ignore the tag "off". Also, will it support tags under 3 letters? Like "of" and "or"? Currently the item search uses a different search system than the rest of the site. Hopefully after the migration we'll figure out a way to unify all searches.
