Hihi, First post in the UK section, but I've been on Gaia for a while - mostly in the Anime and C&T sections; sometimes ED - and I also post on Anime England and Anime Europe with this username. You might have seen me at Amecon too; I was on the committee and constantly running from room to room trying to fix various problems. I've been living in Birmingham for something over three years now (I'm a student at the University there), and I'm originally from Oldham near Manchester. Nice to meet you all, and I look forward to posting here in the future!

I don't think Birmingham is too bad, compared to some places. It's way better than where I used to live for starters. Although that's probably because I'm only 20 minutes from the city centre here compared to being half an hour from some crappy ex-industrial town.

Ironfrost I've been living in Birmingham for something over three years now (I'm a student at the University there), and I'm originally from Oldham near Manchester. My family comes from Manchester. My Parents grew up around Blackley/Harpurhey area and most of my relatives now live around Milnrow/Littleborough.

I'm from Kettering.... moved to America when I was 2...or 3... not quite sure... been there ever since December 11 2004 then came back to England....
I currently live in a 6 bedroom house (beautiful 18th century house) in Great Cressingham in Thetford... I live about a 5 minute drive from Swaffham and 10 minutes from Brandon....
Oh yea... and my neighbour owns a B & B and there's a pub right down the street that I frequently visit xd (Just because there's nothing to do out here in the country with no car... *sigh*)

I live in Nottingham, East Midlands but the London Borough of Islington has joint custody of me; I stay there for a relatively large proportion of the year to visit my extended family.

Vamp X My brother goes to Uni in Nottingham. I've been there a few time. I'm indifferent to it. Which university does he go to? There are two here: Trent University and University of Nottingham. The University of Nottingham is the older of the two and is generally considered to be "right up there", as universities go XD. Nottingham's not bad. It's one of those insane places where the nice areas are situated right next to impoverished or deprived areas. There isn't an awful lot to do here, though, the town centre is relatively small and grotty and really all you can do is go out to clubs and pubs. It's supposed to be a really trendy city, maybe I just don't see it.

It's meant to be pretty bad around at night with quite a few muggings. More than Leicester anyway... I live in Oakham, if you know where that is.

Okay, yeah, I was trying to be nice but I don't particularly like it here. Nottingham gets in all the "Fight Crime" publicity because we still only have something like six policemen on duty on a Saturday night XP. We also have an incredibly high proportional crime rate. I blame Robin Hood. To be honest, I think he's set a bad example.
