Saraf - prentice
Location: Near the prisoner's cage
Post: 6

Saraf couldn't help but to grin as Naevius mentioned his scouting and asked if he'd captured any of them, "Was there any doubt?" He said in a happy, if somewhat cocky, manner before he glanced toward the cage, "I captured the Ice Tribeswoman that I was speaking with a moment ago. Though I wouldn't be surprised if you missed her what with the temper tantrum that Leaf child was having." A bit too much in the way of dramatics for him, but then again he supposed children would be children, right? It made him wonder why they had even bothered to capture him given his age but he supposed it would help later on, were he to grow up under Fire Tribe rule.

Turning back to those that Naevius was hanging out with he gave a smile and a nod of his head toward Ichil and Shalvesta, "It's a pleasure, ladies." A trio of beautiful women all in one place, how could he not be pleased with such a gathering, "Truly Nerad has blessed me this day." A shame he had to share the blessing that the King of the Gods bestowed upon him with another man but he supposed that such was life. He'd merely enjoy the fact that he was even allowed to chat with those with the title of 'lady' when he was as far from being a 'lord' as one could be with his breeding.

As Shalvesta asked him about the prisoners and why they were present he gave a shrug, "I can't say I understand it myself, after chatting with my Ice Queen in there she seems to be more then prickly still, threatening to put me in a cage and more. I can't quite say why those in charge would bring such rebellious slaves along with us." He mused, adding, "I can understand the cage for keeping new prisoners but bring the others along... I don't quite get it myself. One would think they'd be better off being sent back home to start their training." Though he supposed if that were the case he wouldn't have gotten to chat with 'his' captive one last time before she ended up who knew where. The one small bonus to having them brought along for... whatever reason.

It was as he roamed about the cage that he and the others were stuck in he couldn't help but to wonder on the best way to get out of here. One would think that waiting for night fall would be the best. Surely the darkness would aid in escape? He thought about it a moment, then continued on with his walking... that was until he realized that something was up. Turning to watch he took in the fact that the man from earlier, one that must have a rather high rank, was suddenly motioning toward them and giving orders. Not good he found himself thinking, drifting a bit closer so that he could better hear what it was that the guy was saying... and found himself instantly disliking it. They were trying to separate them and put them to work, huh?

Instantly he found himself wondering what the cocky fool would have in mind for him... but there was nothing said when it came to him. So he had nothing for him to do? A shame, that might have made things a lot easier as far as getting his shield back went. Instead he had a feeling he was going to be kept right where he was. Much to his distaste though it would appear as though they meant to take a good among of the others. He wasn't exactly certain who they were planning on putting where but knowing at least two of who they planned to take, even having chatted with them a bit, put him on edge. Having them spread out through out the camp was going to make things far more difficult when it came to planning and executing an escape attempt. It was something that he felt he should warn them about. As such he was turning on his heel, heading toward where he'd left them.

He'd made it back a mere moment before the Ice Tribeswoman did, something that had him turning to look at her. He listened as she spoke before he said in a quiet voice, "I think we might be out of time for any more planning. I overhead one of the Obans talking, seems they are going to be putting some of us to work fairly shortly."

Ceyede: Post 1/2
Location: Outside the Captured tents (So... I'ma manipulate the system a bit... XD I have two characters working to get people out so I will roll 2 numbers; the first number for Ceyede and the second for her Familiar Achlys. Oo' seems legit right?)

The hole Lys had dug was placed well it was at the back of the camp between two tents in the captured camp with the forest at its back... Assuming Ceyede could make the hole bigger she may be able to get some of the captured free.

Dropping from the tree limb she grabbed a arrow head and used it to help break away at the dirt. Most of the soil was soft and loamy, but when she came across the occasional root she was grateful for the extra leverage of the arrow.

Achlys rubbed her head on Dyakida's hand until her fingers were near her horns, then she would try to get Dyakida to move by beginning to walk only to feel her fingers fall back to her side. Giving a growl of frustration she tried this a few more times before she turned and faced her giving a sharp bark to get her attention to what Lys was trying to get her to do. Wriggling her head back under Dyakida's hand she worked her fingers back to her curved horn and waited for her fingers to grasp before leading Dyakida to the hole Cey was working on digging out.

Captured Tents: Delivering Results

Good for her eyes? Heh.

”Thank you, Ethelfleade.” she said, ”Go,” she said, her hands touching a familiar necklace about the Radaku's soft neck. Ceyede...

The sister had shown it to her not long after they had met.

”Successful...” she said, ”To an... extent.” she fiddled around her loincloth and extracted the tools, holding them out to the woman's voice and trusting to Ethelfleade that they were in secret, ”They are tools, and bladed, and will do if we have no other weapon... To get better...” she sighed, ”I will need help. They had me well-guarded.” a sly – if frustrated – look came across her face. ”Will anybody here assist a poor blind artisan in her work?”

After introductions, Kelina and Nyiim agreed to scout together and left the camp moments after they were told to follow. People started splitting up into groups and before she knew it it was only her and her fellow archer. They had already agreed to try and find the captives so they made their way to where it was rumored for them to be kept. Low and behold there they were. Quite a few of them as well. She snuck as close as she could, keeping to the trees that were left. It would be difficult, there were a lot of people around the fence, how would they try and get them out? "Can you get a count on how many there are? I wonder how many are in the tent thing." She whispered softly to Nyiim. They would have to work together quite a bit if they were to try and get any of these captives out.

Nyiim - post 4
TALE SCOUT

He crouched slightly beside Kelina, eyes working over the cage. They were keeping them like animals, but look! One of them was outside the bars. Why would the Obans let a captive wander the camp, even guarded? Were they really so cocky?

"I see eleven in the cage, if you count the Alkidike outside. Who knows how many are beyond there. Does it look well-guarded enough to house Freya and Besian? If they're even still alive."

There was a group of well-dress Obans situated just outside the cages, five of them. What in the world were they doing? Not all of the could be guarding one or the other.

Post 7 (1/2 )

Ete noticed Earthlings sneaking in from outside and thought to help them. She dove to the animal pens to harass the creatures into a rage. Perhaps loud sounds would make soldiers pay less attention to those sneaking in and make some leave the pens where her Senja was being held captive! After this she would see about setting those tents on fire and finding a sharp object.

Senja found herself grabbed by a guard and hauled off towards a pen just outside the larger pen where she had been held.
"Ow! Hey, you're bruising!" Senja said in a miffed tone as she let herself be dragged along. She did not want to risk pain so she didn't resist.. Plus what was a girl who merely sang and danced her entire life supposed to do against a soldier?
"Start fletching arrows." The guard growled as he tossed her inside. Senja glared at him.
"Fletch arrows? Do I look like a Fletcher to you? I don't know how and even if I did, there is no way I am going to make arrows that will kill my own people!" She looked down her nose at him and sat down in a corner, refusing to work. Well this is great, she thought in disgust, how am I supposed to escape when I'm out here and separated from the others?

Post 6 (1/2)

Rayolun left behind the sobbing boy who really needed to grow up and the other lad who was too passive for his taste to walk in a meandering path towards the tent to go talk with the icewoman, leaning on his makeshift staff. He knew that not all people were used to battle.. but growing up in the wilderness of Jahaur meant he had learned early on the need to kill and the harsh realities of life. Apparently villagers really like to coddle their kids, he thought to himself, I'll have to make sure any child Lasarra and I have is not coddled.... I'll teach him or her how to live in the wild and know more about reality.

He kept a bit away from Fleade to try adn make it look like he hadn't followed her in or was there to talk with her. "I know of some simple ways to make spears and the like." He whispered softly in response to the Alkidike's question. "Slings as well... those are simple to use and easy to hide. A stone thrown from one can stun or kill if the person knows how to use it. Which I do... Though I prefer tridents but I doubt I'll be able to find mine." Now that they'd mentioned weapons, he had remembered about slings, and was looking at his clothes wondering if he should tear yet more to attempt to fashion a sling.

Tale scout
(Outskirts.)

Yelena looked around at everything that was going on. She heard a ruckus starting from the animal pen. Someone must have gone to rule up the beast there. She hoped it was ok but she wanted to help get the orhers free. Maybe she could help them get free or make a distraction. She saw others around trying to free them and stepped closer to them. Being very careful to stay silent and stealthy. She was worried about Kiyelt since she hadn't seen him. Was he ok? Had he been captured? She prayed he was ok. And if not she would get him out no matter what it took. But for now she had to focus on those in the cages and help. She couldn't understand why there was one out of the cage. What was up with that? Why have a prisoner out and about? How arogent were these people?

She watches the well dressed Obans. What were they doing? What was the point of all this? She was starting to worry even more about the other scouts. They needed to get the people free and their info then get out of there. She just didn't like it here. Something didn't sit right with her. Maybe it was just how these people were treating her companions and people she was supposed to be fighting along side. She looked over at the orhers wondering what they thought they should do. She wished Kiyelt was with her. She would need to find him.

Kiyelt: Tale Scout: Post 8* Outskirts

Kiyelt found Yelena again he had gone to peek at the beast pens for a few seconds and had perched some distance away when a ruckus made him move along and he found Yel at the captured pens. He made sure she knew he was there before he snuck up behind her to watch as well. He looked at the captured pen...who would take a pregnant woman? Brilliant strategy but so cold for a people known as fire. He shook his head and tried not to grind his teeth together. Well at least he was here with Yelena. She was so tough, and then to come out here to save people when his own had pestered her beyond belief.

He set a hand on her shoulder trying to comfort her and himself. They were together and together meant some measure of peace. He was somewhat miffed he couldn't talk, but that would be unwise.

Why were they all being so difficult? He wasn't being hurt or mistreated, and other than a little sneering from a few of the Oban guards, it didn't seem like anyone else was, either. So why was everyone here in such an uproar? They weren't being forced to fight, just encouraged to stay calm and obedient. Didn't seem so treacherous to him. The other departed, all heading off in different directions and leaving Lerin with a worse headache than he'd ever had in his life. His gaze trailed after the Wind male, who obviously needed some comfort. He probably should've followed him, thought that one of the guards even jerked his head at Lerin to get him to come over. But he decided against it.

"Come," he murmured softly to his kinfa. The bird fluttered her wings and hopped from the ground to Lerin's outstretched arm, clambering her way up to his shoulder as he rose to his feet. He steered himself away from the healing tents, and went to great lengths to avoid where the Ice woman and other Shifter had disappeared into. Instead, he found himself wandering inside a tent where an obviously pregnant woman was scowling and huffing and being ornery in general to one of the guards.

He blinked in confusion. When a ruffle of Doori's feathers dusted against his cheek, Lerin mustered up a grin to quirk at the pair. "So... This seems like a bad time to interrupt."

Fleade was glad that two of the stronger people in her opinion were with her in the tent at that moment along with someone who made this all possible. "Thank you Dyakida. I think he is right though...we don't have time. We'll have to make these tools work. Thank you for putting yourself at risk to get these for us." She said with a smile that had been rare among the camps. Though the blind artisan couldn't see her smile, the gratitude was plain in her voice. Turning to Ray as he joined them a few moments later. "Thank you for coming. My plan, quite simply put, is to put a knife at the throat of that one who had food brought to the pregnant one. She had enough power to order food brought to us so by logical reasoning she'd have the power to order us free and they won't throw her life away. I think the time is now, though. People are getting pulled out and I'm not going to get separated again. We need to do this now. I don't mind being the one to take the important person if you," She said motioning towards Chal, "Will come and take her on the other side of the fence so we can all get out. Will you," She said to Ray this time, "Make sure Dya and the pregnant one and whatever younger ones are about to come along? I know that's a big job but I'm confident you can do it." She grabbed one of the bigger arrow heads from Dyakida. "I'll go first. Don't delay too long, I'll need your back up." Fleade said as she clasped her hands in front of her, hiding the arrow head under the fur and made her way out of the tent.

Making her way to the fence closest to the important woman, she put on her best sad face and started to make tears come from her eyes. "Miss?.....Miss...? I..could you help me please? I...I don't trust your men enough to ask them...please..." She said, pleading the best she could to get the woman to come over to her.

Naevius couldn't help but smile as Shalvesta had been the one to start asking questions, and they were very good questions, one they surely had all be wondering about. She had to resist rolling her eyes at Saraf's flattery and tried to focus on what he was saying instead. She completely agreed with him on the matter of the captured Tendajians. It was one of the reasons she wasn't entirely trustful of the captain, Nae had to wonder if he had some malicious things in mind for the captives. She listened politely, content to stay quiet and listen as the conversation was civil at least. It was then that she heard a voice calling out and she turned towards the fence to see the Ice woman Saraf had talked about. She was pleading for her help, what could she need? She didn't trust the men of her race? Well that's not entirely overreacting, Nae wondered what Saraf could have done to make her behave in such a way.

Smiling politely to her friends, "I'll be right back." Nothing they said could have stopped her. Naevius made her way to the fence and was beckoned closer by the captive. In her mind she knew it was unwise but she did so anyway. "My-my friend...he...his leg is injured and its....getting...infected." The captive said worriedly, tears dripping from her eyes. She took a step closer to the fence, wondering if she could see the one she was talking about when she felt a hand grasp her shoulder, spinning her around and then pinning her to the fence. Not even seconds after, she felt a sharp edge against her neck. Her eyes were wide and she struggled for only a few seconds before she felt the edge nick against her skin in which case she froze. "Open the fence and let us go or I swear to my gods and yours that I will kill her." The one holding her said, there was no fear in her voice now, but it was kind of mean, and hard. "If you just let me go...we can work this out." Naevius tried to be diplomatic about it. "NO. You will bring all of my people from where you've taken them and give us all of our things and hand over your weapons and let us go. NOW." Naevius' hands grasped at the fence to steady herself and keep them from shaking. "Do what she says." She asked the others, hoping they would comply. This wasn't how she imagined her death.

Frowning, Kelina noticed the group of well dressed Obans as well and studied the tent more. "I don't think so. Looks more like a zoo..." She commented quietly. Eleven. That was a larger number than she wished for and wondered if there was a way to get them all out. But it seemed that the captives had already been working on it as she noticed one ice girl take matters into her own hand. She notched an arrow and was ready to step in if need be or to help cover their escape if it worked, or to try and make it work if it didn't "We need to be ready in case they need cover or if it doesn't work we can try to make it work." She was sure the other archer was already thinking the same thing, but saying it out loud made her feel like she had some measure of control over the situation, which she absolutely didn't.

Nyiim - post 5
Tale Scout

A-ha! Before he could even formulate a plan, an Ice woman had acted. One of the nobility had been drawn to the gate and taken! So they must have been plotting in secret the entire time. Good on them! It seemed as if the Obans had captured many weakened members of many different races. Their escape, if successful, would undoubtedly be hampered by the wounded and hobbling.

Never being one for many words, Nyiim nodded and nocked an arrow, holding another between two fingers of his hand and drawing. It was just too bad if they saw him, because at the moment he imagined they would be more concerned with the new captive.

- - -

Ichil

She had wanted to say something. In fact, her lips were parted with the word "don't." To send the commoner in had been a mistake, but Naevius was a valuable sort of person.

The worst happened.

Ichil gave a shriek, more out of frustration and offense than fear. All she had was the knife in her boot, and she could not get to it fast enough to do any damage, plus the blue woman could strike. She would not watch a friend die! The girl stood poised, feeling the tension in the air, brows furrowed.

Damn the captain! He had done too little too late! Damn the soldiers as well, should they make any move!

Sebastian - post 2 /1

It was reflex. When an animal made a move toward one of the men, you acted. It was for this reason that the loop of the whip fell from Sebastian's arm and the handle into his hand. It struck him briefly how it could potentially be an effective weapon, and then also the tense stances of everyone around them. A move could mean death, but would the blue woman be so brash? Without Naevius, their bargaining chip was lost. Her death would only mean torture for those already held captive. It was a game, then, and one of blades and bows and bludgeons. He froze, not wanting to tip anyone toward attacking, and watched closely. The ego of his people had come to a head. They had become careless. What would the King say? Their beasts would do very little this time with the threat of noble harm.
