She felt herself relax when Seth ruffled her hair, it just felt so nice. Seth's statement about the toy caused her to quickly place it away from her face. He seriously looked tired as he closed his eyes, and she really wondered what happened to him at Neon Lights. When was the next time he worked? Perhaps she should spend some time there on his next shift. "I do have a dress. In fact, it's the dress my mom mailed to me." She pulled out her phone, she had taken a picture of herself wearing the outfit for her mom to see, and thought sh might as well show Seth. "I like it, but it's little too pink in my eyes... He opened his eyes and looked at the picture she showed him, he quirked his eyebrows in surprise as he shifted his gaze from the phone back to Rina, and then back to the picture. "It looks really pretty on you." answered the male as he smiled but soon shiftes his gaze back towards her when she claimed it was a little too pink for her taste. Shopping for a new dress? Ah, the last time he went shopping was back when he had to accompany his mother. Ladies when they're on their shopping spree, are very terrifying. Having to carry their bags and shoes whatsoever, running from one side of the mall to the other. He sighed as he recalled those horrible moments and hopefully Rina won't be the same as what happened before. "I need to get a couple of things myself, why don't we go together then." he asked. A little frustrated by the thought that he needs to suit up for the ball. "What kind of dress are you planning on getting?"

☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷ She blushed when Seth said it looked nice on her and said, "Uh, t-thanks." She placed her hands in her lap, happy inside. She was smiling, and was thinking of dresses she could possibly wear. Just depends on whatever's in the stores at the shopping district. Rina didn't mind shopping, as long as it's not with her mom. Her family went out, and decided to find her mother shoes for an upcoming event, and it took them 7 hours with 5 pairs being bought and her poor father being used as a pack mule. She could never forget that horrible crack of his back when they finally got home. "Sure, you'd look nice in something fancy." She couldn't imagine him in a full tux, maybe just a dress shirt and pants. "Something modest and not pink. And little to no jewelry or bling on it. "I already have an outfit back home, I just need to get a few things." he answered, he didn't like 'fancy' items, it's not like he'll be able to wear them daily. If he bought something fancy, he'll just end up keeping it in his closet to gather dust after an event. He laughed as she described the dress she's planning on getting. She's a whole lot different from other female aquaintances he knew back at his school. They'd shower themselves with jewellery and blings, possibly blinding everyone and cracking their glasses at the event. There's still quite a while till the event, he wouldn't worry that much about it.
"Well, you'll look stunning regardless of what you wear." he blurted out the words without second thought. Hopefully his cold would be long gone by the time the ball event has arrived.

Rina began to giggle when Seth started laughing, once again. She began to wonder what the ball would look like, a super formal event or a bit more relaxed..? She can't describe themes, so she might as well not even try. It filled her mind even more, as she thought of them walking in together. She blushed again when Seth complimented once more, and said, "Aww, thanks." Back when she lived in her old town, her friends would always try to one up each others compliments, the only kind of fights they would ever get into. "How about later in the afternoon? My shift won't start until later in the evening, I suppose I have some time. If you're free that is." It's still pretty early, perhaps he'll just stay here until her shift is over, he's definitely too lazy to walk back an forth in town just to go to the shopping district. He reached forth to ruffle her hair again as she blushed. "There's 'The Finer Things' in uptown and there's 'The Not so Catwalk' in Cerise if you're looking for the cheaper things. Well, if I'm not mistaken that is." Yes, he recalled those two shops the last time he visited a couple of months ago. He stopped heading over since it's pretty packed, and now he's going to those places again, diving into the sea of crowds. Horrible.

She was so tempted to add 'It's a date then', at the end of that sentence, just to tease him about getting all flustered when he was trying to ask her to the ball. Another ruffle of her hair, and another wave of comfort washed through her. "Let's just go to the cheaper place. I don't want to spend that much and Cerise is closer." She smiled, feeling a little lazy.
Now the Fall Ball was the only thing crossing her mind, now that she was going with Seth. As she continued to think about it, dancing popped into her mind. Is there dancing at balls? Rina's never been to one, so how was she supposed to know? "Seth, is there gonna be dancing at the Fall Ball?" He nodded at her request to go to Cerise District. Although it doesn't show, he's looking forward to it. The last time he went shopping with someone was perhaps, about three to four years ago, which was a horrying experience and hopefully it would be a little different this time. He was a little caught off guard by her question, and her embarrassed tone of voice cracked him up. "Dancing is involved." he answered, soon recalling that she once told him she couldn't dance, perhaps that's why she was so concerened about it. "Don't worry, it's only going to be a slow dance. Well, at least that's what they do at the ball. If you don't mind dancing during your shift, l can teach you now." He stood up and walked towards her. Well, Smoothie Palace is prettt spacious and he wouldn't have to worry about knocking the tables over, he felt a little dizzy but he'll just sleep it off later.
He soon held out his hand, a little awkward as he doesn't really dance with the opposite sex much. Except for his mother, she had taught him when she told him about her past with his father, how they had danced together whatsoever. A smile soon formed on his face, eyes flickering as he recalled those pleasant memories.

☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷ Rina was pretty happy to find a new dress, although her mother may not be happy with it. Perhaps she'll wear it another time, for her sake. She was a bit scared at the fact the dancing was involved and the thought of her tripping up and falling at the ball scared her. She was snapped out of those thoughts when Seth volunteered to teach her. "You'd teach me right now? Thank you!"
Taking off Seth's jacket and placing Patrick on the table, she took Seth's hand and stood up. She led him over to an unused space in the main room, and didn't know what to do with her feet or other hand. "S-sorry in advance if I step on your foot.." Please don't step on his foot, Rina. "Don't worry about it, I wouldn't mind. It's normal. Now, take a step to your right. He gave her the instructions as he did the same himself, taking small slow steps as he watched Rina doing the same.
He looked down at her as she blushed and he could feel the whole atmosphere start to get a little awkward. He shifted his gaze away as he realised the distance between them were quite close due to the position they're in and attempted to clear his throat to cover up his embarrassment. ☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷ She honestly wonders why she tortures herself like this. Rina noticed Seth snickering at how his hands practically ate hers, and it was funny, but being tiny really does have its disadvantages. And what sucks is, she could have completely avoided this height dilemma. The only way to make her taller is to just use her succubus powers, simple as that. She doesn't even have to do 'those' kinds of things to people, she just needs to use them. Just summon small items here and there, and soon, she could be 5' 4". She neglected her powers because she wanted to feel more divine, considering she was raised by angels. So now she's just a shorty, but she certainly could fix it if she just accepts her powers.
Her mind was bit clouded by these thoughts as she followed Seth's steps, thinking of the joys to be over 5 feet tall. She stared off into the distance (she was actually looking straight ahead, at Seth's body), and focused on the things swirling in her mind. Then, she blurted it out on accident. And as soon as she realized it had left her mouth, her face reddened like a tomato in utter embarrassment.

"Is something wrong?" he asked with a concerned tone after noticing she seems to be drifting off into what appears to be her sea of thoughts but before he could continue his sentence, she had questioned him and it had certainly caught him off guard.
"It would be much easier if you were taller." answered the male with brutal honesty, little to none of sugar coating. But he soon added up,
""But I wouldn't like it, you being tall that is. It just, 'isn't you', y'know? I prefer having you being short, than to- Uh.. I- You know what I mean. Why did you ask? Is something bothering you?" he started to fumble over his words, struggling to find the right explanation but soon gave up. He had wanted to tell her that it was best if she had remained as 'herself' rather than to change to match the other person's needs but he didn't know how to put them in words, not that he's good with words in the first place.

☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷ At first, she felt a little hurt at what Seth said, but felt a little happier when he said that he'd prefer her short. He was right, she should just stay 'her', no matter what other people think. "Nothing's really wrong, I was just thinking about stuff.. I kinda just blurted it out without realizing." Blushing a little from her actions. Something was wrong, she doesn't really know how to describe it. She would explain if he wanted to know, it's just that her mind is split between two things, in a way. Like it's always been. She felt tears welling up, and she quickly blinked them away before they would fall.
"What's the next step?" She at least wanted to learn how to dance, so the ball would be fun for the both of them. "Thanks, Seth. I really needed that." In a way, Rina sometimes doesn't really know what she is. Now she's being a drama queen. She's probably just over-reacting. "Take a step forward. Then step to your left, then backwards. It's like moving in a box, to be precise." he broke the silence, slowly guiding her through the dance. The atmosphere felt a little odd as he realised Rina's somehow worked up about something, she seemed, somewhat depressed?
"Hey. You're not concentrating." he replied, as he let go of one of her hands and got down on one knee to get a clear view of her face. Something doesn't feel right, that was what he had thought as he reached up and placed one of his hand on her head, he looked down at the floorboards for a short moment, soon murmuring a quick "Here goes." before hooking one of his arms around her waist to support her weight as he stood up, his other hand held out with hers on a shoulder level. A classic pose for a slow dance. Well, apparantly he had thought she was depressed about her height and had came up with a plan to lift her up so they were at the same height, a little awkward about the distance between them.

☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷☷ Rina listened to his instructions, and it was like moving in a box. She tried to focus on the dance, though her thoughts continued to fight for her attention. In the end, it was Seth that won when he said something and suddenly appeared right in front of her face. She began to smile a lot when he she was in the air, and Seth her in a dance position. "Thank you. Thank you, Seth." This was said in between giggles as they moved about the room in circles.
It felt so nice that Seth was doing this for her, and she couldn't help but smile. "Yeah, I guess we are." As they moved about the room, she realized they probably looked a bit strange if someone were to walk in, but it didn't bother. The whole room was in motion, the only thing she could clearly see was Seth, mostly because they were so close to each other.
