Bad thought he had it won! As soon as Matt's arm hit for the second time, the crowd went silent waiting to explode. Bad had also let his grip go a little more, readying himself for a massive celebration as soon as his music hit! But he didn't hear any music, instead he felt Matt's leg slip, and fell backwards right into the grasp of The Storm!

In what might be the biggest upset of the evening, Matt Shanahan was still the champion for the time being. And from the looks of it, he wasn't just hanging on by a thread. With his grasp around Bad's torso, Matt brought himself into a kneeling position before attempting to power through the pain and get to his feet, all while holding Bad! If successful, he'd let pure desperation take over and attempt to flip Bad through the air for a quick Around The Corner!

With the amount of energy spent on the hold, adding to the total disbelief of what he was pulled into, Bad Boy was pulled up in the air in the grasp of Shanahan! Somehow The Storm had reemerged after it seemed to have been ended! And just like that, much like a storm would, Bad was thrown in a discombobulating fashion! Spun in the air twice, he hit with a splat back first into the mat. His body bouncing off the canvas after the Around The Corner, before falling back with his arms out to his sides.

The Storm fell forward with Bad Boy, falling onto his knees and nearly collapsing onto his side. His entire body ached and each breath was like a sweet morsel in his lungs. He tried to power through and get back up to his feet, but that fight-or-flight instinct was gone; he fell forward face-first beside Bad, his arm barely managing to cover the man's chest. The referee dove down to the pin! This could be it!

Bad Boy was laid out, blood dripping from his face still, and took a massive hit with the Around the Corner. And soon the arm over his chest for the cover!
1!.....2!.....Thr-
Just like that Bad threw his arm up raising his shoulder! The crowd in total shock, as well as the ref who pointed to the time keeper to reassure that is was only a 2 count! He may have been beaten down, but he wasn't out yet!

The crowd was so torn on this match! One moment it looked like Bad Boy was taking home the belt, the next it was likely that The Storm's Reign would continue! At the sign that it was a two count, there were no signs of irritation from Shanahan; then again, he was barely conscious. He slowly rolled to his side and away from Bad Boy. He needed to recover, and recover fast!

As soon as Matt rolled away, Bad laid back down flat on the canvas. So much was taken out of him and used up. He simply stayed down as the only thing moving was his hands to keep the blood flowing through them, and his chest signalling that he was still breathing.

A quiet grunt left Shanahan's lips as he crawled his way over towards the ropes, looking to the thin barrier of the ring to help him up to his feet! Once there, he tugged on the middle one until he managed to get up to his knees, and he continued to climb until he could hopefully make it to his feet.

Bad would soon make his move to get up as well, though it wasn't much. He slowly pushed off with his right arm, towards the opposite direction from Matt. He would simply go to his side, and drop to his chest so that he would have at least two arms to push himself up, but for now it was only to allow himself more room to breathe.

The Storm turned about after managing to get to his feet, his stone cold gaze glancing around at the sea of faces. None of them were Bad Boy, they were insignificant. He stumbled and turned around to spot his challenger just managing up to his feet. It was time to end this one quickly. Matt stormed across the mat as fast as his damaged body would let him, and attempted to grab Bad by the back of his head and pull him underneath his arm. If successful, he'd attempt to lift the man for an inverted suplex, only to drop him with a Cutter for his patented Conversion!

Bad's hair was grabbed and his head was pulled back under the grip of The Storm's arm. Just as he was lifted, Bad had come up with possibly his last resort! He went to kick his legs forward to try to force his head out of Matt's grip, and just like that jump up to the nearly 7 feet needed to get onto The Champ's shoulders. Looking to drop down and plant him face first with the Fiscal Drop!

Matt was just about to drop back to finish the Conversion... until he felt Bad's head leave his arm! The Conversion wasn't going to hit! Outraged and far too tired to put up with this, Matt was just about to whirl around and choke the man out; however, he was cut off as Bad Boy jumped up on his shoulders and fell forward! The Storm crashed into the mat face-first with the Fiscal Drop, his arms wrapping around his head once more! Surely he had a concussion by now! Could this be the end?!

He hit it! The move that got him the victory in the past number of matches, and tonight it might be the move that gets him the Legacy Championship! The crowd had exploded upon the impact of the move as well. However Bad Boy's opponent was face down to the mat, and he had to move over to the side of him and roll him over to his back with the strength that he had left.
If he had rolled him over, he would go for the pin hooking the far leg, leaning back on Matt. Could the reign of The Storm come to a close!?

When he was rolled over, the sight of a spot of blood right in the middle of Shanahan's forehead was visible for the world to see. The move had managed to break The Storm's forehead wide open! And that just might be the final assault of the match as Bad Boy went for the pin!
One!
Two!
Thre-
Right before the referee's hand could hit the mat, Matt's arm shot up to break the pinfall! The match was not over yet!

He had done it! Bad Boy hit Matt with his finisher, rolled him for the pin, The Storm was going to be over! The crowd counting with the ref, they were electric to see their Ohioan win the gold!
And then he kicked out!
The crowd letting out an "OOHHHHHHH!" as Bad flopped off of Shanahan, laying on his stomach with his head tilted upwards, staring up at the ref. The ref confirming that it was a two count, and Bad turned his stare towards the mat in complete shock of what happened.
