One step. Two step. Three step, four. How many steps left till she had no more? Yakuti grinned playfully as she counted her steps. She made a game out of it. Every five steps she turn around, run back and then spin in circles, fall down and start all over again! She acted like a pup herself but it was her form of entertainment and she was much comfortable playing by herself. She had realized, in her little vacation, that being a loner was loads of fun! She enjoyed it more then anything in the world... but she couldn't do it. She loved the fact that her lonliness gave her freedom and brought her to a world she controlled... but she was so nervous around others she had trouble hunting and finding food. And going hungry was a no-no for a capable femme like herself.
Of course... it wasn't just the food factor (though that was big time important), it was the fact that every single morning she looked up into a huge blue sky and she knew she wasn't the only one looking. That thought terrified her. The fact that her world was not as perfect or as lonely as she wanted and that left an empty place in her heart. And the moment she realized that, she decided she would teach others her games and if they could play then she would immerse herself in their company.
Although... she did have extremely jittery reflexes around others and that was something she couldn't change unless she grew quite calm and content with who she was. So for now they would be something of a delicate mind. And as she continued her game across the plains she found herself returning to the cave and to Temari, her best and first friend.
Well.... clumsy as she was (and also quite repetitve for this was how she bumped into Mataka and Dhati in the first place) she tripped over her own feet and tumbled headfirst into the pack area nearby Demani and Kizaki. She righted herself and grinned at the pups with a renewed sense of freedom and bravery. Yakuti the wild dog that was the colors of the clouds and mist and with eyes that sparkled like sapphires... had returned.

Twawa trotted over to the new born pup and sniffed at it curiously. Strange creature. She watched it for a while and then looked up at the two mothers before looking back at the pup, it was so small! She wanted to make friends with it when it was old enough to play!
Dhati had gone wandering for a while, it was in his duty to find out what was happening to make sure the pack would be safe, if he had known what he would have found then in a way he wouldn't have gone. He returned though limping. A big bite wound on his fore leg.
He looked to see the nervous femme had returned and smiled, glad she would be safe with the news he had to bring. He clambered up onto a rock and let out a long howl calling everyone towards him, especially the mothers.
"Everyone I have horrid news. There are two legged creatures around with sharp things and dogs like I have never seen before. One attacked me, they had me pinned down and said they would take me to their owners and then keep me. I don't know what they were talking about but they said they were on a pup hunt. I am scared for our children. No and I mean no pups must leave our ground unless with one of the older ones, I dont want any of our pups to go missing and I doubt the mothers would be happy either. We have no chance of getting them back once they have gone." He closed his eyes and took a deep breath looking for Mataka and the rest of his pups. "Please everyone keep safe.."
He managed to get down from the rock safely and without listening to questions or anything hobbled over to the cave where he would rest, he was in alot of pain.

Temari lifted her ears at the howl and immediatly got to her feet and ran out to where she could find Dhati. Upon seeing him her stomach dropped. He was hurt, badly. This wasn't good. If the leader was hurt it didn't bode well for the pack. Her ears laid back in anger for who had done this to him.
She sat for his entire speech, listening with intent ears to his words, her stomach rolling, her heart pounding.
Humans? Dogs that attacked other dogs? Why? What had they done to them? What did they have against them?
Her eyes darted to her pups in fear. This world was supposed to be safe, this place was supposed to be a sanctuary. Now what would they do?
She rose to her feet and walked over to her pups. Sadness taking over her heart, she licked all of them one by one, making their fur clean and making herself feel better at the same time.
But, while she needed to watch every pup, she was the den mother right now. Pups weren't just her responsibility. So was the saftey and health of every dog in her pack.
Glancing over at him, Temari stood and strode over to Dhati. Her green eyes peered down at him and with a sigh she trotted off to the watering hole nearby. Leaning down, she scooped up a mouthful of moss and mud, cringing at the taste of it.
Walking back over to the darker dog, she gazed down at his wound and dropped the mouthful on his leg, right on top of his wound.
"Try and take it easy, don't you dare move for a little bit. You hear me? You might be the leader, but when you're hurt you're my responsiblity." Her eyes stared hard at him, making sure he understood. ninja

Dhati was slightly shocked at the femmes behavious but he had made her the nanny of the pack. He chuckled and nodded, "It looks like I am at your command!" He spoke in a cheeky way and then quickly added, "Dont let Mataka know she might get jealous!" He laughed and winked at Temari before laying his head back down and letting her do what she had to do.

Sayid either too bored to listen, or too distracted to care, swivels his dark ears as he pads off to try and find some of his siblings. He's had a nice, quite long nap, and now he'd relish the chance to stretch his legs a little, as some of his siblings probably already are. Everyone seems so -tense- at the moment, and the smell of blood makes his hackles prickle slightly, not sure if he's smelling dinner or a wounded packmate. Maybe it wasn't serious...someone probably just got bitten on the ear too hard...right?

Temari grinned down at Dhati, rather happy that he had finally decided to relax. She nodded her head.
"Of course I won't, I'm not that foolish." She winked back at him and trotted off to do her duty.
Passing Sayid, she leaned down and licked the top of his little head softly with her large pink tongue, cleaning off the bit of dust that rested there. He wasn't hers, but at the same time he was. After all, she was taking care of him.
"No wandering now, Sayid." She nodded her head at him and kept on trotting back to her own pups.
Then she caught sight of Yakuti and the hair on her back stood up.
She had come back? Why?
"Yakuti?" ninja

Kadogo listened to all Dhati had said when he came bounding at his father's howl. The small pup tilted his head, a feeble baby-growl at the ready. Hurt Dhati would they? Let them come. He might be the runt but he'd soon show them!
"Will you be okay?" He wasn't happy their freedom was being restricted but he was more concerned with the now-mud-covered wound. Kad could take orders but he had a soft spot for his father.

The piebald female's ears lifted where she was curled up in the den. Hoo-mons? How ODD of creatures they sounded to be! Her tongue ran over Veshengo's coat, mentally vowing that she would teach him to stay close, no matter what. She wanted not for her only child to be snatched away from her at such a tender age, after all.
Noise, noise, and more noise, and that blasted tongue! And to top it off, someone was SNIFFING him! Veshengo curled up against his mother's side, squeeling at the attention, not seeming to like it one bit. He'd have to change his ways fast, though, for his mother had plans for HIS future. A path would be laid out before him, with no room to leave it.

Sayids ears droop at this, and he looks pointedly disapointed. "Aww...why not?" He protests. "Why can't I?" He protests, padding back to make his queries and demands. "I want to know! Pleaaaseee?"

Temari looked over at Sayid and smiled softly. He was such a youngster, so she didn't expect him to understand everything.
Walking over she laid down in front of him and looked into his eyes.
"We don't want you getting hurt or in trouble. It would make your mother sad if you got taken away from her. So you need to stay near both her and I. Is that okay?" Her tail swished softly and slowly in the dust. ninja

" Kizaki you don't wanna play? maybe you can find another few that wants too "
He looked around to see if there was a few other pups around and there was of course first another one like his sister and another one off himself. He put his head to the side and looked at them maybe they wanted to play?

Sayid droops his ears further as he considers this, not understanding what could possibly take him away from his family... "I guess so...." He sulks, petulantly...."But I really wasn't really going to get in trouble..."

Yakuti felt ignored the second she came back but it was a fact she had to accept if she wanted to try to fit in. Plus she liked being ignored... and then... Temari. Yuka smile a bit sadly, "I'm back..."

Dhati was resting well and it was getting dark outside. He sat up and let out a howl, it was definatly time for his pups to be getting some sleep and he needed to count that all six were around. He knew Mataka had some but oh where was she?

While Kizaki was thinking off the games she might wanted to play with the others he looked around for something else ecciting...he sniffed a little he rememberd that smell but when he saw the light female adult dog he couldn't really remember her face because he had been so small when she left..
He walked up to greet her...he waves his tail happily and pokes her paw gently to say hallo to Yakuti..
" Who are you Lady? "
