I added the little questionnaire mainly to see where people were coming from and how they heard about us so I can see where our members are going and which methods of advertising are working. It's more like when a store asks for your zip code to see where people are coming from. Most guilds make filling those things out as a must do or you won't get in. That seems kind of silly to me.

Oh no it wasn't that. I was starting to see some people falling onto the "Gaia is greedy and this goldsink is nothing more than a way to sell gold gens and this new one proves it" bandwagon. We're better than that. Plus, with the way the manga ended for the week with that cliffhanger I didn't want major backlash if something happens with Sen we might not like.

Oh no not at all. It actually got me looking at the wider stuff going on in the GCD and I saw people from our thread making comments on the latest gold gen out yesterday, which isn't bad but it did help to fuel an already testy GCD. The situation wasn't helped at all by people from the Nyx side staring anti-HQ sentiments where the whole goldsink is concerned. I want people to know that they can criticize decisions made by the HQ because nothing is going to be sunshine and roses all the time. I just don't want them out there spreading falsehoods, ignoring evidence that disproves their points, and becoming a rabble rouser just to make their point valid. It kind of looks bad if members are getting banned.
Pretty much if you stick to the mantra of if something doesn't feel right to you question what might be wrong and offer solid solutions to rectify it. And remember if the HQ doesn't implement any solution you suggest it doesn't mean they're instantly ignoring you and refuse to listen to anyone and don't read the SF anymore. A lot of people have fallen into the trap of Gaia is greedy and doesn't care anymore because their screaming demands and long drawn out letters that offer in solutions and just reinforce how they think they're more important because they are a "paying customer for ten years" goes unanswered. I want to keep that out of the Alliance because I have vowed to not let Gaia drama and decisions mess with my or anyone else's sanity.
Way back when the manga of this page originally came out a GCDer (who I can't recall the name of) did something quite similar, except it said things like "MCs suck" and other things that were relevant at the time. I still heart my home forum but the family's getting a little too rowdy again. And my point is, no matter the real state of the site, people will complain.

Well gang I won't be able to do Towns again until hopefully Friday night. It seems our internet at my house not being picked up by our modem and I don't know if I screwed up trying to get a new modem activated with our service. I had slow service Sunday, had it go out on me Monday and got it back for the night, but it went out again on us around one PM and now we can't get it back. Comcast says they can't send someone out to fix it until Friday and I begged and pleaded with the guy to try and get an earlier time but he wouldn't do it. So now I have to use the WIFI at places like the Library, Barnes & Noble, and Panera Bread for a few hours at a time to get onto the net if there's no way to plug in my computer. You'd think Barnes and Noble would have a place to plug in your computer so you could do more than three hours of work at a time.
