The chamber ahead felt huge, even before a couple of bright fireballs lit the space. They smacked into a warped form wearing a crown and standing in front of a throne, and Bren paused, not quite certain what to do. Surely attacking it without provocation would be bad. There seemed to be no way out, however, so he had to do something. The boil crept closer, the curious question of whether or not this creature would be safe to consume flitting across his mind as he shuffled through the dark.

He reached into the pouch where he usually kept his enchanted pebbles, realizing too late that he had dumped them all in favor of the baubles he'd stolen from the last room he'd found. Bren backed away again, eyeing the crowned creature as he tried to figure out what he was going to do next.

She stood there listening to them all, she separated herself from them. She'd didn't know them and wished not to be rude. Then the rumbling started, not wanting to experience being crushed for the first time, Emily grab a torch and leap down the trap door.
She landed in pitch black, alone, and hungry. 'Wonderful' she thought to herself. Is this why she had come to this school? No, this was still freedom and it was better then before. At least no one here was making do anything.
She picked herself up, held the torch high as she still wasn't keen on the light, and floated forward. With a little luck she's find her way out of here or at least some company.

After some time of a good amount of moping, Maple got herself back up and travelling again. She decided not to get her hopes up on any sort of destination, least to be disappointed and end up back at the pool or that area with the spiked wall. Better to just go without a goal.
At least she had found someplace new in the least. It was a dead end like all the other places she had found - well, except that room with all the pretty things. What Maple found there didn't seem dangerous in any sense, well hopefully, but interesting. Holding her torch up she found a statue staring down upon her. He looked like a Reaper, much like herself. And on the base, an inscription.
"Emerys ...?" The ghoul read aloud. Like their professor?

When Maple turned another corner and arrived into the archway room with the big imposing Shadow creature, she began to wonder if she should have just stayed by that pool after all. Because of course there was something like that here. When wasn't there something like this anywhere they ever went? Maple's shoulders sagged, if they even had the ability to any further.

Shun had been busy keeping an eye on the doorway because he hadn't thought that the danger would come from within the room, let alone from Amrita. When he heard a few strange noises, he turned around just in time to see her being ripped apart by some shadowy figure. It didn't take long before there was no sign of the patchwork.
Just...
Whatever that was. His eye widened and he took a few steps back. He dropped his torch and soon blades appeared in his hands. Whatever this shadow was, it was dangerous. Thankfully, he wasn't alone against it for long. Good. In his weakened state, he wasn't certain if he could fend himself against this foe for a prolonged period of time. A couple of the others that had shown up had already launched an assault.
Amrita wasn't here anymore. And if there was any shred of her left in this thing, he figured she'd rather not exist like this. It was the same case as when Riley had succumbed to Insanity. Letting out a breath, he began to shadowstep his way around the entity, striking it in multiple areas.
She will be avenged.

Emily turned a corner and entered a large room that had others in it. Wow that was fast she smiled at herself. She looked around but didn't see the only one that she knew, there was no Amrita. Saddened but not disheartened she moved forward and noticed that everyone was attacking a shadow man with a crown on, that sat on a throne. Nope, not good! She spotted someone she had seen talking with Amrita from before and ran over to him. For strength in numbers and hopefully, support. "What is this thing!?"HP: 3 Damage: 2 BOSS:73 Y1 dice

SHe'd backed down from the two other women, holding one of her arms closely with a small frown. She was more mad at herself for lashing out than she was at Lan for taking her FEAR. She'd blocked most of the conversation out, only picking up that Lan was calling Amrita a Queen, and Amrita didn't take kindly to it.
A roar and tumble of the earth shook the Doppelganger from her thoughts, and the trap door popped open. She followed after everyone, skipping a torch.
She fumbled around for a long time, before finally making it back to the entrance, grabbing a torch, and heading down to find a pool that washed her in warmth. Ah, her FEAR was back - or what was left of it, due to the runes.

Once he stopped teleporting around, Shun let out a breath and glanced to the side as one of the freshmen moved in to strike. The sight of her caused hunger to rip through him. How easy would it be to just take her fear for his own, so that he may continue fighting? It was completely and utterly distracting.
"A shadow of a friend, and barely even that anymore," he huffed. Gritting his teeth, he glanced over at one of the others that had just arrived.
"Oi. You. Don't just bloody stand there," the reaper urged.

After attempting to hurt the shadow before her, Emily turned to the boil and listened to his words as they filled her with dread. She knew only one ghoul here, it couldn't be her but she had to ask, Emily had to know. "It's not Amrita...is it?" A knot grew in the very pit of her being, it grew as strong as the hunger. Though the shade didn't even really knew the patchwork, she was kind, and wished no harm had come to her. Stamina: 3

Aisha's journey through the maze was thankfully a short one. After absorbing a refresher from the glowing pool she carefully picked her way along until she came upon a room. A monstrous figure was there and her fellow students were fighting it. She saw Shun but Amrita was nowhere to be seen.
Did she get lost in the maze?

Squinting through the small light the torch provided in the darkness, Gene eventually found herself in a room full of treasures. She hemmed and hawed for a while, deciding if she should really take anything or just leave it be.
She walked out of the room with a small princess tiara resting on her forehead.

Aisha didn't really like the look of the thing in front of them but she was given no choice but to fight when it lashed mindlessly at anything that moved.
"I've never fought before!" She yelled in a bit of a panic and swung her torch at the nearest bit of it. Thankfully it struck, though hardly strong.

Gene continued walking until she reached another dead end, culminating in a statue of a Reaper, with the word EMERYS on the bottom. Wasn't that the name of one of their professors? Hm..
