All this wandering and questing -- in the end, it meant very little when faced with the great queen herself. All of that had been lessons, teaching, experience.
This was the battle.
And so he unleashed: whipping out ability cards to keep himself alive and doing damage as long as possible, and throwing himself full force at the Queen. Gun blazing, he blasted bits off of her, healing himself in equal amounts as he did.

He'd never used his ability cards before, never used his March Hare -- and the results were, quite frankly, mind-boggling. He dealt more damage than ever before, and never seemed to take any, himself. He fought like a beast, and patched himself up as he went.

It was hard to tell if he was actually getting anywhere with his attacks, but it sure was satisfying. The noise of battle raged around him, and SpringTooth grinned at the person to his left, his ally, as he fought on.

He had, he thought, done an awful lot -- but sagging against his weapon, SpringTooth needed a break now. He needed to take a step back and catch his breath and recover. Perhaps he could come back into the fight later...

So it had come down to this. All that work. All that effort to traverse this crazy world lead up to this encounter. The White Queen. She felt familiar, like Wykid had met her before somewhere. But she had a hard time placing it.
Though it seemed this was not the time to ponder such things.
The Queen attacked and Wykid was startled only briefly before her concentration was now fully on the white specter in front of her. With a whistle, she summoned her Otokyo mini pet who lunged at the Queen, biting down upon her arm before it retreated back into whatever space it was summoned from.
With a flick of her wrist, she summoned her sword and took a few swings as the Queen reeled backwards.

Thin with dark skin. Wykid wears the black and blue Caterpillar armor. Her mouth is covered by a mask hiding the bottom half of her face and the sleeves of her shirt are larger than normal, slightly translucent at the wrists giving a small peek at her bone arms. Its hard to tell her disposition at the time unless you are watching her body language. But even that can be a bit tricky. But for the most part she's fairly good natured.
She ducked and dodged most of the attacks, but there were still a few that the Queen got through. A tough opponent for sure, Wykid had been looking forward to this kind of fight.
Her heart raced. Her breathing quick and heavy. Wykid took to breathing in through her nose and out through her mouth. That was how you kept from tiring yourself out. Slow breaths. Calm. Keep calm.
Lunging at the Queen, she swung her sword before deflecting the next attack as much as she could with her cape.

Ok, ok. Perhaps the Queen was just a bit tougher than Wykid had thought. She attacked again, trying to get through any defenses the Queen could throw at her. Wykid felt a stinging sensation in her shoulder, dropping her sword, it disappeared before hitting the ground.
She had to roll out of the way to avoid the next attack. Smacking into the wall, she gasped as the air rushed out of her lungs. Not good.

Why was he doing this?
It was hard to say what Blightning thought he would gain from attacking this Queen. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, yes, but despite his, AfroQueen's, and BigIdeas' agreement, he had to wonder if this was just playing straight into the Alice AI's hands. She had wanted them to attack, after all. She said that was their purpose within the game, and once they succeeded, then they would be replaced. Blightning didn't really want to be replaced for rather obvious reasons. For one, being replaced meant that he as he was would not be anymore.
Just his memories.
And his memories were certainly not him. They were not the core of him, they were not the soul of him, they were not his personality, they were not his brain and his movements and his heart and none of that--they were just what he had done in the past. Sure, they had helped shape the present person that stood there, but they were not the full person. They were just a photograph pulled from the past, nothing more, nothing less.
The idea of no longer existing made Blightning very uncomfortable, even if it may have only applied to a dream world. In reality, would he remain untouched? Or would he be replaced there, too?
His thoughts were swirling and spinning but this was really not the time to be spending hours reflecting--they needed to act. If this was going to be what killed him, it would be what killed him. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. It seemed like the only option, and besides, perhaps they were right in their thoughts. They were smart. Blightning certainly believed in his own intelligence, and he did not keep company with idiots though idiots could certainly be rather amusing...
It was time to focus. It was time to act. There was no more time for useless pondering because it certainly would no get him anywhere. All it was making him was a little uneasy, and frankly, Blightning did not like the feeling of uneasy. It was not something he was experienced with or particularly versed in, and he didn't want to become so.
Instead, he would attack, though first he would send off a small private message to make sure that BigIdeas hadn't just... vanished into an abyss or something. He pulled out his Pocket Card, tapping out a quick message to BigIdeas.

Once that was tapped off, Blightning nodded and placed his Pocket Card back away. Alright. He needed to focus. He leaned over, clenching his hands and unclenching them for a moment, shifting him leg to leg as he looked towards all the people aiming their attacks as the White Queen. To him, it looked like they were likely going to have an easier time taking this Queen down considering how much damage they were doing, but of course, no one knew the exact HP of this Queen, either. He couldn't see any sign of a bar decrease.
Hopefully the health wasn't infinite or anything like that.
But even if it was, they had to persevere.
Blightning ran forward and swung.

Tall, with dark skin and dark hair. His eyes glow faintly, and parts of his skin do in the same color, blue streaks and freckles throughout. He seems fairly athletic. He wears the clothing of the Insane Mad Hatter, but in bright blues and bright purples, looking distinctly mad indeed.
Ha! That attack seemed to do some damage. It was enough, at least, for Blightning to admit that he had probably never done that much damage before with one of his attacks. What had he done differently that time? Perhaps it was something about the way he moved in for a quick strike. Had he caught her by surprise for a critical hit?
She unfortunately did not seem terribly surprised considering she managed to hit him for another ten damage while she was at it, but ten damage was something he was perfectly capable of dealing with. If worse came to worse, it wasn't like he didn't have a Resurrection card sitting in his back pocket for just this kind of situation. When he died, it would trigger and he could keep fighting, simple as that.
What wasn't so simple was figuring out how he had pulled off a cap damage attack, and how he would pull off the same again. Perhaps quick movement was the key to it, here? Of course, quick movement might not have been all it took. He saw some other of his Red teammates managing some significant hits even without darting around the White Queen like some kind of ninja or blinking ghost. He had seen a few of those back in Halloween. He wondered if any of those abilities would translate here...
Probably not, he didn't seem to be capable of setting the air on sparks in this location. Too bad. He knew that would probably do some damage because lightning always hurt. He was a lightning elemental, after all. He had plenty of confidence in his heritage and the FEAR it struck in humanity.
He was running off-base here. Certainly, focus was not his strong point and it never had been, even in the heat of battle. It was not something he was necessarily capable of, and he probably never would be. His mind was always jumping on spare thoughts and trying to rope them in, and sometimes it was frustrating to attempt to put a cap on it. How did other people manage without so much confusion? Blightning would probably never figure it out, and that was probably why he was pondering over it with the White Queen staring them down with her depressing boss music and babbling.
For a moment, Blightning jumped back, looking over the situation he found himself in. What should he do now? A quick strike seemed to be the ideal way to get at her, but he wasn't certain it was an ideal way to avoid the damage she kept dishing out. Was there a way to avoid that? Perhaps there wasn't. She was too powerful, and she would always managed to get a hit on him no matter how fast he was moving.
He was certain that if he was in the real world this wouldn't be such a problem--there, speed was on his side and he wasn't stuck in the constraints of what the game decided would be his maximum. That had to be the problem, right? He was certain that if this queen was on his home turf, he would have destroyed her before she even had a chance to raise a finger.
Because he was just that good.
Resolving that he was indeed just that good, Blightning ran forth and struck again... unfortunately not avoiding the auto-damage no matter how much he tried to duck.
