She was so intent on keeping the sign visible behind her (in an attempt to go in the exact direction it indicated) that she ran straight into another sign -- which, after straightening her clothes and cursing it in two different languages -- read ' Here'. She felt a little silly now. Of course the 'There' sign pointed back to 'Here'. Ace marched herself back to the 'There' sign. Since it pointed back to 'Here', perhaps the answer -- in true Wonderland fashion -- was to simply go in the opposite direction that it indicated. Doing that merely led her straight back to where she had started. "So the answer's not that straightforward," she grumbled a bit to herself. Maybe going perpendicular would help? Ace turned 90 degrees to her left and set out again, cautious but still optimistic. ((using the '3' rolled properly in the next post)) Ah-hah! And so she was right. She regarded the 'Up Anywhere' sign with a smidge of smug satisfaction, which faded as she looked up in the direction the sign indicated. Obviously going in that exact direction was too obvious to be correct, but she could neither go underground. The only thing to do was to explore all avenues from here. Ace wandered in the vague direction the sign would indicate if it weren't tilted upwards. ...Which led her back to 'There'. Okay. It was frustrating, but also slowly starting to make some sort of sense. [ Everywhere ]After what seemed like an eternity, although given bigbadwolf's patience it was probably something more like ten minutes, he finally came to a sign that wasn't a repeat of any of the others. It didn't make any more sense than the other three had, but it was at least pointed in the direction of the exist, which made it infinitely better in bigbadwolf's mind. OOC
