Katrina listened to Yukiko, her expression contemplative before she spoke again. "Don't worry, you're a social butterfly by nature. Even if you don't bring a date, i'm sure you will make several more friends at the ball." She offered the girl a warm smile, truly meaning what she had said. When Beta spoke up again, offering a question from Artie, the seer looked to the shy boy, also answering him honestly. "I mean that your wolves are welcome to come and go. In fact, I would prefer that they pop in and out throughout the night, so that everyone knows we have protection." She faced Beta after this, adding politely, "So long as that you all don't mind this request...?"
The next few words spoken by Kat were softer, as if had taken her several seconds to process what Beta had asked. The King? Here? But even she had only been told of the diplomat named Will. She frowned for a moment, but did eventually answer with a simple, "I cannot confirm this rumour. However, if you know anymore information I would be very happy to hear it."

Yukiko looked at the wolf as he spoke, interested in finding more out about this.. King of the Dragons... Although she couldn't think of one question that wouldn't lead to a thousand others... A wide smile crossed the kitsune's face as Katrina called her a 'social butterfly'. Listening as Katrina suggested Artie's wolves be present at the ball, Yukiko nodded and looked back at Artie, then back at Beta. "It would be a good idea for Artie to go.." She said. "...If it would help, I can promise to keep a ten foot distance at all times.." She added half-jokingly, grinning at Artie momentarily, before looking back to Katrina, as to not cause Artie too much embarrassment from her comment. "I'll definitely go."

Iced Cherry Latte You'll have to see in the Town Hall topic to why your alarm went off. ;D I quoted you so you'd notice it there. Artie Hopper "I see, as protection." Beta replied with a light nod as he seemed silent for a moment before speaking again. "Alright, Master has agreed to come, but he'll remain out of sight as we wolves patrol the area." He stated with a curt nod and listened to her reply about the rumour and listening to Yukiko speak. Artie would also try to bring Noelle if she wanted to come with him to the ball. "Well, this is also another rumour, but it has been said that the King has also found a lover here in Janhall, but I do not know the validity of this one. This one isn't so much a rumour rather than a curious thought.. In the area of mortals, there is a mysterious fellow named 'Phantom Thief Illusionist'... I only mention this as he hasn't been seen since a little bit before the reveal of magic and magical creatures not long ago. I have a feeling that this person will show up here." Beta explained and it would be right at this moment that an urgent sounding beeping started happening in one of the pockets of Katrina.

Please that Artie has agreed to attend the ball and that Beta would be there as well with the other wolves was a weight lifted from her shoulders. She had spent weeks stressing over this event, and as it moved closer she was beginning to fear that they'd never be prepared. However, with this done she took a few moments to relax, her body posture shifting so that she looked less uptight than she had appeared just moments ago. Still, she was listening to Beta continue, her mind focusing on his statements regarding the alleged visit of the Dragon king. If it was true that he had found a lover, or even a companion, Katrina was worried as to how he could slip into town unnoticed. She supposed it wasn't too much of a problem if he had arrived secretly...Still, she did make a mental note to look into it.
When Beta mentioned yet another person, Katrina stopped walking, her expression suddenly serious. Unlike many magical folk, she had heard of the Illusionist. Beta believed that he would show up, and it was just as she opened her mouth to agree that she heard her phone go off. Sliding it out of her back pocket, she unlocked the screen, her eyes fixated on the warning she was being given. Silencing the alarm, she exited the app, her thoughts quickly connecting the dots. "Of course...This is just great timing. She sighed loudly, trying to mask the honest worry she felt. There were too many people migrating to Janhall. It was too fast for such a small town, and now she realized that it had only been a matter of time until a bad egg arrived. "I suppose this will be our first assignment together. Let's move, now." She started walking, unwilling to wait for a response from her fellow charm bearers as she raced toward Townhall. If someone had truly broken into her office, she needed to be quick to catch them.

Agent Rissa I already posted so we could move this along. You can catch up with your next posts :3 I hope you feel better soon. Artie Hopper Artie and Beta were silent as they listened to the beeping, the timing was unbelievable and nearly impossible to replicate, and even they could see the worry that Kat had. Beta looked towards Artie who nodded a bit and they quickly followed after Katrina, heading towards the Town Hall. Whoever had broken into her office, was a clearly skilled person and if he had set the alarm off intentionally, this person was also a clear show-off. The only show-off that they had seen was this Illusionist fellow, and he even had a large following of fans who enjoy watching his magic show heists.

Yukiko listened as the wolf spoke of a 'Phantom Thief Illusionist'. If there was one thing that Yukiko didn't like, it was a faker. But she did enjoy magic shows... Something about this combination conflicted the kitsune girl. Hopefully there wouldn't be a confrontation. Yukiko pondered her conflicted feelings on this, snapping out of her thoughts as she heard beeping sounds coming from Katrina's pocket. Seeing Katrina's annoyed expression and worried sounding tone, the kitsune reached to place her hand on her friend's shoulder, for comfort.
Although before she could; Katrina picked up her pace and started a quick stride towards town hall. Yukiko quickly ran after her, looking worried. "What's going on?!" She questioned. As they hurried to the townhall, Yukiko wondered if the phantom thief illusionist was a bad guy. He could be, but he could also be a good person.. It was hard to tell..

It was such a lovely day! The sun looked just like a bunch of clouds with the moon poking out and smiling with blood leaking out between its teeth. What a pretty sight. That's not to say the walking mushroom men weren't an equally impressive sight as the tapdanced their way across the park sidewalk and transformed into segways that started breakdancing. "Wow, I done feel like I been 'ere before." Jacob said looking over at himself sitting beside him on the park bench. "Well, you 'ave actually." The doppelganger said back. "We've all been here. It's the park ya bloodclot." The character sitting next to Jacob then slapped him and the imp jerked forward. "Oi whut?!" In a panic, Jacob looked around. It was completely dark, with only a street lamp beaming above his head. How long had the imp been on a trip? "Ah blud fiah. I be 'angin' out wit de duppies 'gain." The imp breathed a sigh and stood up from the park bench he had been sitting on. He was lucky to have been mugged while on the trip. "Ay, should probably be gettin' 'ome 'fore babylon come fo' me."

The calm moon was her stage as she stood alone in the calm grass. Delicate folds surrounded her even more delicate body as her kimono strung out around her. Gentle moonlight cascaded around her curves as she unfolded a rather precariously decorated fan and threw it softly into the air only to catch it with her retreating hand. Yumi, if anything, was a beautiful dancer, though she preferred traditional dance over all else. Tonight seemed to be a night rivaling many with the moon shimmering down so nicely as it was. Everything was silent and she couldn't be more relaxed.
Her search for Thad had gone to a grinding halt anyway so it was moments like this that she needed. Her eye's opened rather slowly as her dance ended to the sound of a nearby male awakening to realize that his drugs had worn off. The beauty folded her fan and retreated to the benches to retrieve her umbrella before unfolding it and retreating from the scene as well. "You really shouldn't sleep in public...it's not good for you, and it makes you look like a fool." Her words were spoken as if she were talking to herself but she knew the Imp could catch her careless chastising of his activities.

The dreadlock wearing imp squinted his eyes and squeezed the bridge of his nose. What a trip. The imp looked around saw what looked like a geisha walking next to him to get her umbrella. Jacob was about think she was an after effect of the drugs he just took before she said something coherent and relevant. Low and behold, what she said was more off a gentle insult that Jacob was just able to pick up. "Oi. I take offense to dat, ooman." Against any better judgement, Jacob quickly followed after the geisha-like girl. "Ey, I'm talkin' to ya, shawty." Despite being offended, Jacob felt something off about this girl. She had a very strange air of mystery about her. She even looked like she belonged in a bamboo forest covered in mist.

The beautiful female clad in her kimono stopped suddenly as she heard the scraggly voice of the darker skinned male. She closed her eye's and a wind pressed against her raven hair as well as the sleeves of her kimono that hung long down her sides. She felt his steps in the earth below her sandals and she turned rather quickly around. Her eye's settled on his with no hesitation, their stillness resembling that of the calm waters after a storm. "You're correct..." Her words were sharp yet soft like a blade cutting through silk. "I was inappropriate, but I meant no harm..." A closer inspection of his outer appearance could tell her he wasn't human but he definitely wasn't a vampire and his aura wasn't that of a dragons. He was simply a humanoid demon of some sort, and a silly one at that...an imp! Imps were meant to live freely and act on their own, he was either an imp or a faerie of some sort. "Please forgive me...and do not call me...'shawty.'" With that she nodded her head to him, a simple nod with her eye's closing for the downward before opening again as she stood to meet him. Then she turned, her grace never faltering as she continued to walk away...
She could have met his disrespectful tone with anger or violence considering her lack of patience for it but, she was simply tired. Her mind was not capable of killing someone for something so small, should he continue to chase her with the same tone though...she might pull one of the many blades from her lengthy outfit and show him how a demon hunter deals with imps...

Why did Ja'kob feel himself being drawn to this woman? Was it the mystique of her presence or was it just that the imp found her to be pretty? Either way, he was still following her. "Oi." Ja'kob called to the woman dressed tradition Japanese clothing. "Who ya be? Ya ain't nah-one I evah seen in me whole life? Ya some kinda dancer whi'cha fancy dress in'all?" If only Ja'kob could realize in his drugged up my mind that he was in one the most dangerous situations of his life right now, he might've been able to gain some distance and be halfway to Denmark. Instead he was chasing a fox that lead unwary victims like Ja'kob to their doom. (I've been complete misspelling Ja'kob name this entire time.)

With a swift curl of her wrist a hidden compartment was opened on her umbrella. From it came several needles which she placed carefully in between each of her right hand's fingers before turning and throwing each one, a warning shot mind you. Each one carelessly wisped passed the male's face, each one leaving a very sinister impression with the sound of their speed and the harsh sound they made when they hit a nearby tree.
"Why do you insist on following me?" She turned to meet him, closing her umbrella and lightly tucking it in between her arm. It was true, what he had said though, there was a time when Yumi was a beautiful traditional dancer. She wanted to enthrall the world with what she could do...but her life wasn't pretty anymore, she wasn't pretty anymore... With a flick of her wrist her finger's were restocked with a set of devilish throwing knives, each one no doubt poised to strike with strings for multiple attacks should the Imp counter her.

While his common sense was elsewhere, Ja'kob's survival instinct was there and ready in a flash. Several sinister black needles wisped pass the side of his face and rang in his ears. "Damn sanfi b***h!" Ja'kob exclaimed in anger as he took a step back from the dangerous woman. "Da ******** wah dat fo? Makin' yaself a right bludclot, misseh." The imp had completely ignored the kimono dressed woman. "I onna jus tryin' tah be nice and ya gon tossin' sticks at me like ya one a dem ras skunt uh da babylon!" (Man. Writing for Ja'kob is hard.)

Yumi watched as the male danced around in his anger and frustration towards her. Her squall eye's kept pace before a sigh escaped her colored lips. This man was no threat, he was just silly. Her stance lowered and her defense dropped only slightly. "I apologize, I'm not one for niceties...I can't be too careful sometimes." She took a step towards him and bowed slightly. "Why are you following me?" She said softly, finally showing a bit of care towards her tone and outlook. She was still ready and willing to fight, should he be dangerous...but she was trying her best to seem less standoffish.

Ja'kob was giving the geisha dressed girl a crooked look when she decided to calm down and be a bit more civil. But, the imp himself wasn't so much. "Ey best be sorreh fa dat mess." After a moment, Ja'kob was able to regather his thoughts. The after effects of the drugs were still clouding his judgement, but at least he wasn't seeing rainbows in the dark. "Why ya gotta be so violunt?" He said back to the girl when asked why the imp was following her. "You act like dis whole city is out get ya. But, I tell ya now. The most dangerous person in a whole bloody mile is you." After ranting and taking a breath, Ja'kob became noticeably calmer. "Ay, I wanna apologize for that one, sweet. I still under da doppie's spell. Rat scunt of a deala sent me on muh way wid his "flypaper" concoction. I only told I wanted da regular stuff, but he go 'no. You has to try dis. It'll make ya feel like a fly on da wall.' I told I don't want nottin' ta do with flies. Me home is full of'em. I just want some of da Beatles." The imp continued to explain how he was sold the drugs he didn't want, but was anyway. However, he never did come close to answering the girl's question of why he was following her. "Oi, what be ya name, sweet?"
