Amethyst would not make the same mistake again. Falias might have gotten him out of the range of the magical beam the previous time but if he didn't start paying more attention to what was going on around him in the middle of a fight like this, he was going to be in serious trouble fast.

Spotting the paper aeroplanes and caltrops that seemingly came out of nowhere, he barely managed to avoid them by backing up a couple of steps. Choosing that exact moment to launch its counter attack, the Shade charged him, its fists swinging wildly as he tried to shield himself from its blows until it decided to give up and go after Falias who was still on the ground next.

Zircon blanched at Penthesilea's wave, snarling in her direction. Now was not the time to let rivalries get in the way of fighting, but she was so, so very tempted to make an exception. She had to concede that the Senshi of War had far greater backup than she did, and so let it go for the moment, even if that smug little wave made every one of her nerves burn in anger.

But then, with a silent ripple of energy, the air around her changed, the creaks and whispers of a jungle springing up all around her. This had the feeling of one of the Mirror Senshi, and she glowered at the trick, but for the moment it seemed to include her as one of the benefactors, hiding her perfectly in shadow. She found herself not impaired in the slightest, and with all this cover, who knows what sorts of damage she could do to the right target.

She turned towards the lake front, eyes on the Queen. What better target than the one calling the shots, if you had the advantage? It wasn't likely that she could get close enough, but maybe one of the senshi had gravity powers that could drag her down or something...either way, from a closer position, she could strike. She began to run that way when all of a sudden she saw the Shade Queen summon something strikingly familiar. Were those...her weapons?

Several of the shade planes flew by her harmlessly, and the caltrops landed far enough away from her to be an issue, but a slow-boiling rage began to build inside her. Those were her weapons, and if she never used them, no one else was allowed to use them, either. Thusfar unharmed by the weapons, she ran for the interior, determined to give this fraud queen a piece of her mind.

A startled expression crossed Athene's face as what looked to be a jungle suddenly sprung up around them, pausing for a moment or two in confusion until it sunk in that it was actually an illusion.

He wasn't sure who the magic was from, but if it worked on the Shade thing that seemed to be calling the shots then he wasn't going to complain.

"I'm going to try and get closer to that thing," he told Nysa. "Mayhaps..." His voice tailed off as bits of pointed metal followed quickly by what looked like paper aeroplanes started to rain down on them. managing to avoid first one then the other.

Looking to see how the Knight fared he added, "We need to try and stop her."

He was going to try and make his way closer he decided, much as he wasn't looking forward to it. The big Shade needed to be stopped though so he would do his best.

There were no stones nearby, so Athene ended up settling on a glass water bottle, with the word Evian stamped up the side picking it up and trying to lob it at the Shade Queen (Finsternis).

Athene HP: 50/50

---------------------------------------
Falias on the other hand was not having a good time of it, he had been doing his best to fend off the Shade that had decided to attack him, but had been hampered by being caught on the ground.

It had left him unable to avoid being hit first by what looked like a paper aeroplane and then a pointy bit of metal - a familiar pointy bit of metal given he'd stepped on one of them during his encounter with a Nega-Captain back on the night that he'd tried to help Medea out.

About the only good thing was that it also struck the damned Shade given Falias the opportunity to scramble back up.

He'd gingerly picked up the bit of metal that had struck him on the arm and once on his feet had tried to lob it at the Shade, however the thing avoided it with almost insulting ease.

His interactions with Negaverse agents hadn't, exactly, been extensive. The whirl of his first battle in the Surrounding was a distant memory, and was coloured by his strange death, his awakening to the power of the Dark Moon Court.

So when paper airplanes came falling out of the sky, he could only look at them in a bemused way. What, that was supposed to hurt?

And, indeed, none did.

Attacking the peons seemed -- well. IT seem futile. However many they fought against, however many were even taken down, it didn't even quite seem like they were making a dent in this mess.

Forget the peons, then. Al-Janah lifted his head, squinting across at the Queen herself, and then reached out to tap Leto on one shoulder.

"Take the battle to the boss?" He flashed her a grin, wiggled his eyebrows, and then raised a hand in the sky to summon his attack.

"Janah Rake!"
Al-Janah raises his gloved hand and a red, ghostly falcon lands hard. He has to remove the jesses from the creature's hood and launch the creature into the air.

The target of the attack is then marked to a circle about ten feet in diameter. If the circle is crossed either by the target leaving or someone else entering their space, the falcon dives from the sky and chases after them, raking at them with its talons before flying away. It gives up on its prey after 30 seconds of waiting.

He'd start small, and save the big attacks for -- well. for if this one worked. The bird landed on his arm and he launched it at the queen herself.

Ganymede smiled vaguely in response to Themiscyra, and would have stood around to converse more and become better acquainted had the circumstances not been quite so dire. As it was, she didn't have time to look around her and take everything in. Neither of them had the time for distractions, or for conversations; she didn't have the time for worry over Valhalla (though she looked around for him and spied him drawing closer from some distance away, and hoped he'd managed to avoid most of the danger; instinct said to go to him, but she resisted for the time being). She was reminded constantly of that night nearly three years ago on Christmas Eve, when she'd been drawn into this sort of violence for the first time. It was hard to shake the memories despite the notable differences between then and now.

Her clone continued to harass her, alternatively frustrated and amused depending on how the tides turned. Ganymede's train was yanked on again but she was ready for it and remained on her feet this time. With a shriek of rage her clone launched itself at her and took her to the ground, where a rock dug painfully into Ganymede's shoulder and dirt and twigs became entangled in her hair. They rolled furiously, each scrambling to subdue the other, their movements mingled with curses and laughter.

Pushing with all of her strength, Ganymede tipped them sideways until her clone was beneath her. Then they paused and stared at one another, neither quite willing to give in.

Ganymede saw in her clone everything she hated in herself, all the parts of her she wished she could grow beyond or get rid of. Selfishness, vanity, a touch of arrogance, cowardice, youth, inexperience, fear, and so many lingering reservations, disappointments, regrets, the bitterness of a troubled childhood. Other things, too, of course, but those were hidden beyond sight, and would remain that way if Ganymede had any choice in the matter. It all stared back at her from a pair of eyes not unlike her own, but so dull in color they could be nothing more than a sham.

It couldn't continue. When her clone struggled to free itself Ganymede held it tight, jerked it forward, and slammed its head against the ground. When its arms moved wildly to fight back, striking her across the face, pulling at her hair, scratching at her shoulders through dark gloves that soon tore, Ganymede grabbed a rock within reach and kept it securely in her fist as she struck her clone along the head with it. Ganymede punched hard but inexpertly, imagining that in doing so she was lashing out at and removing all the ugly parts of herself she wished gone.

But she was no fighter and grew weary quickly. Despite the anger and the many disappointments, she could not stomach much more; she was not violent by nature. Her actions satisfied her less than the eyes staring malevolently back at her.

Finally Ganymede released her clone and scrambled back onto her feet again, stepping back to watch as the clone slowly did the same. Its face was no longer amused, but twisted into a terrible scowl. It trembled with rage and threw itself at her. Ganymede took it by the arms and pushed it back, and back, and back, beyond the girl who'd found her at Valhalla's behest and further on toward the lake, where with one last push Ganymede threw her clone to the ground along the edge of it, at the feet of the Queen already under the barrage of other attacks.

“No,” the clone said, but that was all it was able to utter. Weakened beyond its ability to cope after a week of such encounters, the shade disappeared at last.

Ganymede stepped back, sore and out of breath, but she wanted a good long look at the clone's leader. This night, like many others, would file itself away within her memories, but when she remembered it years down the road she didn't want to remember the fear of Christmas Eve, or Elysion, or the Surrounding. She wanted to remember that she'd stood and fought and accomplished something; she wanted to remember that there was still a place in all of this for relief and hope.

“Take your cheap imitations and leave,” she said, and threw the rock still clutched in her fist directly at the Queen's face.

Something had to be said for dating and then marrying a pitcher—her aim had surely improved.

The sudden change in landscape was a boon for Persephone, who managed to duck up against one of the suddenly-appearing jungle trees. Had that been who she thought it was, rising up over the battle? She remembered the Dark Mirror Eternal who had first cracked her ribs, and later told her of the court.

She was certain it was Leto, now a Princess.

One of the planes managed to graze her, and she hefted her other shoe. She'd already thrown one, might as well go for the other.

"Hey! Queen Ugly! Eat this!" And she threw the other shoe at the figure.

Sailor Persephone HP: 29

Tantalus lit up when Leto transformed into her Princess form. While he wasn't particularly concerned with losing this battle, it was exceptionally reassuring to have a fourth-stage on their side. Certianly Order had theirs, but he wasn't sure he could trust that a White Moon Princess wouldn't turn on them as soon as the battle was over.

He grabbed Damocles's sleeve, hanging into his boyfriend as the forest rose around them. He didn't want to lose track of him in all this, because he was not a fighter, but his boyfriend was. "Stay close," he said.

He finally discarded that stupidly heavy scarf, throwing it in the face of one of the shades.

Sailor Tantalus HP: 29

Natron snorted. "You're cute," he said, spinning his mace and crashing it in the face of one of the shades near them. The rain of caltrops was no more than annoying, even when he stepped on one. "Watch your feet," he warned, though he was sure it was unnecessary. Des could hold his own, he just would rather be there while he did. A paper airplane whizzed by his face, leaving a thin cut. "Ow, ******** Natron HP: 43

Penthesilea skipped out of the way of both planes and caltrops, spinning around and kicking one of the shades in the face. She very much enjoyed her metal heels.

Sailor Penthesilea HP: 40

Amytis turned and saw Leto just in time to catch her powering up to Princess. She recognized her from when she and Remarque had helped Amytis Awaken, and so the pink-haired girl immediately ran to where she'd seen them last, ducking through and stumbling over a caltrop, which sent her crashing into one of the shades.

The shades were out for blood, clashing with the senshi yielding weapons and magic, sometimes both at the same time. A slightly unfair advantage where the senshi were concerned. The shade, some of them seemed to be unrecognizable, face from no one that was there at the moment. There was murder in their eyes. They charged anyone still or moving not caring whether they were order or chaos, they sought to destroy them all.

One such shade seemed irritated that a butt winged human [Athene] kept throwing thing at his queen. The aim of the senshi seemed accurate and he hit her more than once. The shade couldn't have the, no the senshi need to be taken out.

Wielding Magic Bola that were normal wielded by a general in the negaverse the shade gave them a toss, aiming to capture the long haired butt winged senshi.

litian
Power description: MAGIC BOLAS. A bit fancier than his current weapon, but otherwise the same -- except for the magic. When he hits his target, a touch of magic kicks in and they bind the struck limbs [either legs or arms] up tight. They tighten and cannot be removed for 20 seconds.))

Another shade went for the hooded magic arrow wielder [Ida] who currently decided to rain fist and feet on the queen who had moved to the edge of the lake. She certainly couldn't have her. Her queen would have this world and everything in it. The shade needed to stop the eternal and ran at her.

"Searing Passion," the shade called out, throwing Sailor Ganymede's attack at the purple senshi in hopes of stopping the purple senshi in her tracks.

Bluefire Dragonz
Power description: Searing Passion – The enemy experiences an abstract sense of desire. This desire also manifests itself in a physical sensation, a heating of the body that grows progressively stronger throughout the duration of the attack, until the target feels as if they are burning up from the inside. They're likely to feel weak and disoriented once the attack has burned itself out. The attack itself reaches its peak after about 45 seconds, and can only be used on a single enemy within a twenty foot radius.

Further irritating the shades, the hawk wielding DMC [Janah] caught the attention of another shade after launching a bird at the queen. A confusing attack to the clone for sure, but the if the senshi could control a hawk the shade saw it as a threat. No need to worry about an attacking animal and an attacking human.

He ran at the senshi with a look that said I will destroy you. "Mind's Eye Vision," he called out throwing the attack at the hawk senshi.

andbeblue
Power description: Speaking the name of the attack with her hand above her tiara, orbs of various colors flow out of the sapphire eye, slowly condensing into one large white orb which she then flings at a single target. Once the orb vanishes into the target, they would find themselves bombarded with unintelligible, jumbled, and all around random visions of... the future? The visions in their head would come in such a rapid succession that focusing on the present could be quite difficult, though not necessarily impossible. The visions last for 10 seconds.

USE AND ABUSE ME!!!
Character: General Benitoite
Power description: Long spear with a weighted bottom end.

He couldn't believe he'd spent how long at work? It was longer then he should have been there but with winter solstices a little over a month away they needed to take stock of things. There were orders o be placed and the store was jam packed with books, herbs, crystals and other things. So taking stock took time and meant extra workers were called in tonight to assist. He'd handled the herbs and such, since that was his area of knowledge, and armed with pen and notebook he'd listed everything and weighed out everything he could, he had more to do tomorrow. He'd made a dent in the work though and would hopefully finish it tomorrow after hours - he was hoping.

Deciding to power up and get a move on patrolling, skipping going home, the blond had ducked into an alley and when he stepped out of the alley way he was no longer a normal civilian in appearance. The General stepped out into the empty street and stared about. Something prickling his senses and un-easing him. It wasn't something he'd felt before but he didn't need to have felt it before to dislike it; and he did dislike this feeling.

Not wanting to leave questions, over what he was feeling and all the other signatures he felt right now, unanswered he headed in that direction quickly. Taking to roof tops until he had to take back to the ground. Through the park till he came upon a massive...party of sorts; if you taught of battles as parties anyway. It seemed he had arrived just in time also be hit with something. He saw the paper airplanes raining down on them and metal objects, he didn't have a name for them, and it was one of the metal objects which landed on his shoulder. It looked like a jax and the point had landed on his shoulder, digging in past the fabric of his uniform and surely drawing some blood. Another was avoided but one did land on his foot, the one that hit his shoulder had rolled off and landed on his foot. Bending, quickly, he snatched it up and looked around for the cause for this. What he spotted, and what held his attention, was some Queenly looking figure and that was her undoing in his mind - she was what he would be aiming to hurt tonight.

The hits were scoring well, filling Ida with a sense of hope. Maybe they could do this, take this monster down... At least, until something hit her, and hard. Ida stumbled back as she felt her face heat, her cheeks turning pink as the heat flushed through the rest of her body.

Wait... she was missing something... something she really wanted. The eternal senshi jumped back as she looked about herself in confusion, searching for something she suddenly needed very badly. As the heat increased, Ida ripped her hood back and cast about herself.

No, this was stupid... this had to be a trick. Why did she suddenly want whatever it was she wanted so much? Whatever this was, it was a horrible, horrible distraction. She couldn't fight like this, not when her body was burning from the inside out. Casting about herself, Ida pressed her hands to her cheeks, trying to cool herself. It was... probably a good thing her fuku wasn't something she could just take off.

Work had kept her late; how could it not? The holidays were coming and in the jewelry department it was that time of year when sales were high, so stock was needed. They often had dealers, who they purchased from, show up after open hours so they could pick out things they wanted to sell. It was safer to have their suppliers here without customers around less chance of things going missing and such, for them and their disputers. It was also time for them, the workers and owners, to talk over what they wanted to bet on being big sellers. Diamonds were always up there along with engagement rings, even loose stones and rings that had no main stone set in them, but what colored stones did they wanna try and push?

Did they want to go with a theme and sell that theme and idea? Yes, it was a good idea and a big risk really. But they had decided to sell the theme of cold winter nights by going with diamonds, sapphires, aquamarines, and colored pearls with more white gold than yellow gold. They even were going to chance it and pick up some platinum pieces. They had to now contact the rest of their disputers and let them know what to bring to the arranged meetings they had scheduled. Otherwise the only other big thing was decorating the store properly and making sure the theme was well presented and well sold/marketed to people.

It was once she was home, washed, and dressed that she had decided to go out. She was planning to go out and see if she couldn't find Maia, and her brother, for some training tonight. What she wasn't expecting was to sense something powerful and most troubling. It worried her and she wanted to flee, to avoid what felt like a sure battle, but she was also sure that Maia would be there as well as her brother. For that reason the knight of Delphi took off toward she didn't know what; aside from that it was trouble. She just hoped those she knew, some well and more not so well, were safe and that she herself would fair well with this.

The park...why the park? She hoped no children were here this late, or other innocent people, as she followed the feeling until she came upon the battle. Her weapon, she didn't didn't believe it should be considered a weapon, clutched tightly in one hand as she threw herself to the ground to avoid the metal jaxs and paper airplanes, she wasn't overly worried about the paper airplanes to be honest.

"Maia!" Calling out for the red haired senshi she was sure was here, lavender eyes looking around for the familiar figure. Where was she? Would Maia be here and hear her? She hoped so, she would love to be filled in on what was going on.
