Thanatos was glad that this House Cup challenge was coming to an end; it was too crowded and too much talk of team spirit for his liking. That, and Biskoto wouldn't stop going on about how important participation was... Easy for her to say though, since she wasn't the one doing these ridiculous challenges.

Lookit these student folks. LOOK AT THESE STUDENTS!
They're pulling for pride! For honour! For the sake of possibly winning a fabulous vacation or one of the other fantastic prizes!
Such power! Such determination!
The demons seem to be giving it their all...well...some of them...some seem a bit....it that one sleeping? Oh! But look at that, Danny Fitzgerald folks! Are you sure you're a demon, Danny Fitzgerald, because you look ready wrestle dragons! What a spitfire!
Aaaaand moving on to the ghost dorms, some of them seem to be having trouble, BUT NOT VICTORIOUS VICTORIA! Once again a shining beacon of talent! Four for you Victoria Bloodworth! You go Victoria Bloodworth!
The favourite to win this round, the Monster dorm are pulling strong! They're really forcing the other dorms to dig in their heels! Leading the bunch we have localized disaster, the ghoul! The dragon! THE POKERUS! And providing the Monsters with some additional horsepower, Petro the Tikbalang! Already we can see it's gonna be hard to pull down the Monsters in this event!
Next up we find the reapers, not generally known for their brawn but it looks like that reputation may be a thing of the past if valkyrie Hel Bryn-...what was that? Oh! If Hel Selie has anything to do with it! She looks ready to sing her crew to victory or death!
And speaking of death, MY JACK! What is happening with the Undead team?! Undead? MORE LIKE UNREAL! THEY'RE LITERALLY PULLING THE FOUR OTHER DORMS TOWARD THEM! THE MONSTERS AREN'T GIVING AN INCH EASILY BUT...BUT...OH! WHO IS THAT PATCHWORK?! IT'S....CHRISTOF! IGOR CHRISTOF!
AND CREEPLE SAY THEY DON'T MAKE IGORS LIKE THEY USED TO!
If this performance continues, the third year is going to be scouting something fierce in tyhe next few months, I can tell you that much folks! We may be witnessing a LEGEND in the making here!
OR AT LEAST A TOTAL SLAUGHTER AS THE GHOST DORMS GO FLYING!
I mean literally, look at them fly in graceful arcs across the field, it's both tragic yet rather lovely don't you think? Oh, I'm already getting pictures of it on my Insta-grunt dash. Beautiful pictures folks, I can tell there's some artistic hearts in the audience today.
And it looks like the sudden imbalance has caused the Demon dorms to stumble and collapse into a massive heap on the field. Lookit 'em just piled on top of each other, I thought that sort of thing only happened in comics folks but I was wrong! What an amazing day this is turning out to be!
It looks like we're down to just three dorms now, REAPERS! MONSTERS! ANNNNND UUUUUUUNDEAD!
the ooc Ghost dorms are out with a score of 32.9! Demon dorms are out with a score of 33.3! The three remaining are ~ Reapers with a score of 34! Monsters with a score of 35.1! Undead with a score of 41.5! IF YOUR DORM IS STILL IN THE COMPETITION, ROUND 2 STARTS NOW! IT ENDS AT MIDNIGHT PST!- same rolls as before, add your strength/remaining luck stats the same as before! - ITS EXACTLY THE SAME OK - if you didn't roll for Round 1, you can still roll if your dorm is still competing!

She felt like they were pulling as hard as they could! No thanks to her, surely. Sophie clapped and cheered when it was announced that the undead dorm had come out on top that round! She was upset to see the other teams knocked out, but she also wanted to win. She rubbed her hands on her shorts and flexed her fingers. That last round was tough and she had given it her all. She was a little tired now, but she was determined to give it her best!
Gripping the rope once more, she pulled and pulled with all her might. The concept 'tone it down' apparently did not exist in Aymet's vocabulary, because if anything he was actually pulling harder this time than before. The broken shards of various things jabbing out of the robe was hell on his armor, but at least it weighed him down enough to make him a pretty immovable object for the time being. Efflo tugged and tugged, but his strength was waning, and he kept slipping in the mud, which meant he had to get up, try to wipe himself off, and grab onto the rope all over again. The rope itself was full of hazards, and every time Efflo lost his place, it made it that much harder to find another one. All in all, it wasn't going particularly well for the undead boil. There was a sudden slackness to the rope as two of the other houses were disqualified. Canon braced herself with her tail, then immediately dug in with her heels (now that they were firmly on the ground) and pulled with all her might. He got to a slipper portion of the rope after some of the other dorms pretty much got pulled out of their chance of winning. It made it hard for him to get a good handle on the rope and Kettil did not approve of this. At all. The rope jerked as it was yanked back and forth, and Nahm momentarily lost his grip. When he grabbed for the rope again, something sharp jabbed into his palms, and he yelped and snatched his hands back. It took him a moment to find a safer spot to pull. The dragon ghoul could harldy contain her pride, and if she listened closely she could hear twin roars in the distance, the sound of her parents cheering her on! With renewed vigor, Pokerus continued to pull with everything she had, even after the ghost and demon dorms went down. Hearing that the undead were now "pulling" ahead, Sulmanon tried giving the rope her all. Unfortunately, her wound kept her from pulling as hard as she might have. She was a bit of a disgrace compared to the other dragon ghoul. Knowing that teams were being eliminated slowly, and that the monsters were doing well in the tug of war so far gave Mathias a renewed sense of vigor. His large, clawed feet were still slip sliding in the mud, and his hands stung painfully from both rope burn and cuts from pointy objects embedded in the rope slicing into his hands. But he would not give up. Monsters would prevail in this match up, even if the announcement was blabbering something about the Undead being in the lead. Pah, bunch of rotting corpses. They would soon give up, he was sure, or fall apart, whichever came first. Finally establishing a firm hold on the ground, his feet digging in and his arms pulling down on the rope as much as he could to keep it at his level, he began to pull, wings beating furiously as though to lend aid. Hopefully the person behind him didn't mind feathers potentially hitting them in the face.
