The puffed out cheeks had no effect on his dour expression as he shook his head. "This has been gone over, repeatedly, and roses are entirely unsuitable. As-" He realized then that he had no idea which demon it was that said it, just that he was still here... somewhere. "-another of our fellow students stated, roses, being a plant, are essentially unmoving and fragile things. They lack any true trait that befits our kind in the least."
He paused, watching her waiting to see if it sunk in. "We'd be making a mockery of ourselves if we chose such a thing."

It looked like flying in the face of all logic, roses were winning. He was not pleased. He wasn't generally pleased about very much.
If he ever got to the human world, he was going to use the power of committee against them.

Either his explanation wasn't sinking in, or Astra just chose to ignore him, as she huffed in a indigent manner and continued to glare. "Well, it's clear you haven't been stuck in a rose bush before." She scoffed. "Not to mention that plants can move quite easily with the right kind of magic. Not to mention..." she trailed off as she flicked her wrist, a small pointy leaf appearing in her fingers. "Plants can be very painful." She then flicked the leaf at a nearby wall, watching as it struck the wall and stayed there as if it were a knife. "I think roses are a good suggestion."

"I apologize for not having issues where vegetation can get the best of me." He stated without so much as an inkling taking her stance into mind. "And by your statement, then suggesting ice would be a valid mascot. Which I have not suggested." He stated, shaking his head at her.
"This is a collective mascot, not one for you, ghoul. Take that into mind with your suggestions. Merely because you enjoy playing with plants does not mean it is the least bit suitable for the rest of the students." He stated, giving her a glare, shaking his head at her. Oh, so she wanted it just because it was like a testament to her abilities. How shallow.

Danny nodded. "Oh that's this thing! Yeah! RA! I'm one of those thingies." She wiggled her fingers. "What kind of stuff have people suggested?" She looked to the crowd. A bunch of people she knew, some people she didn't.
She especially waved to Riley, who was talking with Sammy, and to West, who was talking with others. Another boil came up to her- one of the faces she didn't know. "Oh uh. Hey there. Nice ta meetcha Ari. I'm Danny- though I think Aymet told you that." She leaned over to Jack. "I didn't know Aymet was a gargoyle too!!"
Not the sharpest tack in the drawer, but always willing to try.

Riley hummed in agreement, her eyes turning to crescents when she took up the topic of Braum again. Ahh. The sound was like a sigh. And he is, so very much, in the past.
A chuckle escaped her. Something about that was just a little too funny.
And graduate we shall. Goodbye, Amityville. We leave you to your wars of the roses. The conversations around them had started to ebb into her train of thought, even as she caught Danny's wave, and returned it with a pleasant wiggle of her fingers. For we have other wars to fight.

Tavi frowned hard watching the students talk among themselves and leave him out! Pouting he leaned into Zel brushing the taller boil with his tails as they fanned out in annoyance. When the strange little bot made another announcement his ears flickered and he blinked. Those were still not choices he wanted but really he didn't have anything better so again he kept his mouth shut and pouted.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spinar was getting real tired of this room and the creeple in it. There were to many demons in here for everyone's own good. When roses came up again he groaned and ran a hand down the front of his face. Spinar hissed at himself inwardly, he knew he should of skipped this meeting and taken the punishment.
Now he was to be trapped in here with this bunch forever.
"Can our mascot be a trap like this meeting?" He groaned and closed his eyes, further tightening the hold over his chest with his arms.

"Excuse me!" Astra flew up to stare at him eye to eye, practically fuming at the moment as she made plenty of plans to put bugs in his food when she could. "But I wasn't the only one who suggested it! Lots of creeple had suggested roses, so it wouldn't just suit me!" Even if he was right that she wanted it because it suited her best, she wasn't about to admit it. "Besides, I think your suggestion is stupid." Not that she knew what he had suggested or if he had suggested anything (she hadn't be listening earlier on but that was neither here or there), but she was going to insult it anyway. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a familiar mind flayer, and her expression lit up. "Riley!" She called out, flying over to her. "What do you think? Do you think roses would be good?" She was privately hopeful Riley would take her side, and then she could laugh at Molan all day for being a jerk. Raja Definitely yes with a hint of spitefulness

He didn't flinch even as the shorter girl buzzed up to try and make her point seem more valid. If you had to try to use physical means to try and win an argument, you'd already lost. He knew that much. Not that he was going to back down. Rather, he kept idly stroking the cat he still had.
Because it was temporarily his until Jack took it back. Or he left this blasted meeting.
"Yes, and when it was suggested before we took our stance against it. And it was DROPPED. You brought it back up, and once again I've brought up the points made previously." And then her comment, regarding his own suggestion drew a laugh. He hadn't made one, which further proved his piont. "Pay attention to a conversation before you join it, or debate it. I've made no such suggestion to call stupid. If anything you're proving your own ignorance. I care little what our mascot is so long as it's not something utterly unsuitable."
And he wasn't about to make personalized requests just because he fit him. This was, in fact, for the majority. It's just that Astra wasn't the majority. Though he couldn't help but shake his head once more. Running to her friend to make her point more valid? Classy. Really. Classy.poke mattix The logical answer is no, with zero chance of changing.

"I still think roses are good," said Llyr, in an absent sort of voice from the back of the room, idly braiding a few strands of his hair.

Llyr then got a look of equal displeasure. Really? NOT. HELPING.
...even if Llyr had a right to his opinion, Molan still thought it was foolish. What was with these people? Though at least he liked braids. One point for-
Why was he wearing so little? Strange creeple.kurotomato Judging. Juding like he always does.

Zel grunted. Really? Roses? Even thorny roses would just result in them being the laughingstock of the entire campus - and Zel would like to avoid that, if only for Tavi's sake, yeah -that was it. Frankly though, really? Why not something with some aggression?
"We might as well go with Rainbows if we're going to go floral. Jack - we'll be the laughingstock of the whole school at this rate!" The boil had raised his voice to add his two pumpkin seeds.
"Why not a Hellhound or a Nightmare or even a Pit Fiend! Something Fiendish and Demonic. That is what we are after all - the strongest and best of Halloween."

Riley waved a fond hello to the ghoul who fluttered her way, but her expression remained stoic and unmoved. Ah ah, I will remain a neutral party. The fresh blood who will wander these halls and call them home for years to come should have their say. My opinion means nothing now. She leaned back in her chair, resting her elbows on the back. For someone so used to having full control over the inner workings of Amity, she seemed remarkably calm and detached.

Aha! A boil who knew the system. Popo smirked and plucked the cracker from his hand, stuffing it into her mouth. Not as good as fire flakes or spiced popcorn, but Popo was a generous and kind Queen of Everything. So, she plucked two kernels from her bag and flicked them at Andrew. Yes, bask in her kindness, peasant!
