It was honestly a good thing Freya had failed to mention her misguided ideals of how tough or fragile Belladonna was for the witch would have most merrily volunteered on the spot to whip the Valkyrie for her judgements. But as it was not stated, the witch only continued to get a bit more huffy as Freya continued to ignore her. The fact that silence was given in place of ruining a friendship was not understood, misinterpreting it as a means to rile up the witch more. When Kettil spoke up, that was all the worse for he was trying to slip out of being scolded. He did know Hel well enough to know what he was doing and to say that he didn't was cowardly. And then to be on the receiving end of a curse only had the witch clenching her fists and drawing in a breath to prepare for a fight. About to launch into another bit of scolding, Belladonna lost her fight when Mort touched her shoulder, a surprised sigh leaving her. A small pout was given to him, she wasn't some sort of guard dog that needed to be reminded of its place, but she did nod at him. A fight would be silly now. She did give Freya a hard look before she mumbled a low: "Things might be different if a sister were kinder." Before she moved back to her seat.

Enzo frowned around at the general disarray around him. People arguing, leaving in a huff, all while there were very serious things to discuss. He caught Joachim's expression and grinned, as though taking on the challenge. "Alright, alright you loada' palookas, this here's IMPORTANT, see? Look," and he pulled a scrap of paper from his coat pocket and a rat leaped up (away from the owl) to nervously hand him a pen and he scribbled something down. "See?? A pistol packin' kitten. Perfect, everyone's happy, everything's copacetic, right?" He flashed the picture in the fellow Pied Piper's direction with an even wider grin.

All he wanted.
All he needed was to be left alone just for a few seconds so he could cool off and become rational again. For the time being he was pretty much not looking at Belladonna anymore because he seriously didn't want to start another fight, even as she spoke up causing him almost to talk but instead he just wound his arms more securely around Freya just in case.
Despite how happy she was with his revelation there was always room for a fight when Freya felt passionate enough about something.
He gave her a quiet kiss to the cheek and murmured a soft, "Let's focus on the matter at hand, okay?"
Kettil didn't expect Freya to be a perfect RA. She had her quirks. If anything, as far as he could recall, this was her first position of responsibility within the school. She needed to learn how to grow with that and he hoped others would see it that way as well.
Endzela clicked her beak a bit and gently 'pet' Piper with a single wing, "Want a hug?" She opened both wings to the ghoul and even got ready to tuck her talons close to her body so she wouldn't hurt Piper if she were to be lifted up. Luckily for the rodent the Owl had completely forgotten about it in favor of comforting a family member.

Piper didn't even have to answer verbally; she simply held out her arm for the owl to clamber on, uncaring that she had no protective gear against the talons. Hell, Endzela could perch in her hair and she wouldn't mind at this point.
"A . . . cat." She blinked at the picture. "Personally birds are way better in my opinion, cool cat," Piper said with a shrug, trying not to look at ew gross mice. "But whatever we pick, I say it should have a star on it--not just any ol' star, but the reaper crest!"

Emily spent awhile thinking hard on the motto, face scrunched in conversation. There was a thing her mom had always said, especially after punishing her brothers for various misdeeds. It had always sounded both a little wise and a whole lot more dire, "Um, for motto?" She raised a hand waving it a little, "For the motto what about..." her voice dropped and expression became an ominous expression of her mother's, "We Reap What We Sow."
Looking at Enzo's drawing, the witch clapped, impressed with his quick work and skill. "Oh that looks very good! Are you an artist?"

Enzo beamed at Emily's suggestion, outright guffawing, "REAP what we SOW, I GET IT." At her compliment, he removed his hat to give her a nod and a wink, "Got talented fingers, Pidge. Here you can have it." He handed the drawing off to her, since it seemed she was the only one to have liked it any, and replaced the fedora on his head, rubbing his nose. "I like that. Punny."
A rat nervously skittered from under his seat to warily sniff at Emily's shoes, oblivious to the 'drumsticks' in her pocket.
He cleared his throat, addressing the group in general, "Way I see it, this whole thing's about marketability. We wanna WIN, right? We gotta' have a package that says we's WINNERS. Scare the pants off those two-bit half-cylinders before they even see the whites o' our eyes." He hesitated, "Or blacks of our eyes in somma' our cases but you get the point. But that means a logo, a look that'll make us feel tall, and all the rest a' thems small, see? Cause us Reapers are the best, obviously. Look human so they never see us comin'. And we always come."

Ruth had quietly kept to herself during the whole kerfuffle, content to watch any ensuing chaos and argument with a wide, ear-to-ear grin. Any attempts from other students to break up fights and calm things down got silent boos (because all Ruth did was mouth the syllable) from the Paranoia Agent. She wasn't really all too interested in bonding and becoming friendly and the like, but this meeting was mandatory and in spite of her general lack of sociability, Ruth did follow orders.
The motto thing was a moot point for her because she had one of her own and she wasn't going to share that. So after she gave her input for the colors, and fixed her attention on the ideas for a mascot. Pursing her lips in thought, the blonde eventually found a blank sheet to doodle her idea on. Ruth was no artist, but it looked like a group of vaguely four-legged creatures contorting themselves into the shape of a... was that supposed to be a curved staff or a short-bladed scythe?
Now the question was, who was she supposed to hand this over to?
((ooc: I uh don't know who to ooc-lly quote. Anyone up for a one-sided convo with Ruth?))Quote: HOUSE COLOUR VOTEStudent Name: Ruth House Colour Vote: Black and Black

Rhiannon looked around at her fellow reapers with dismay, there didn't seem to be an end to their meeting. From her spot in the back, it was easy to observe the goings-on and the various fights, it was also a place that was well enough out of the crossfire.
But they were actually here to do business and agree on what would come to represent them. It was hard to come up with anything on her own, but she was content on having black as one of their colors. The traditional grim with scythe wasn't exactly creative, but it was easy to accept as a mascot, representing them as a whole and being at least relevant to their history. Now for a motto... She twirled as strand of pink hair with her index finger.
The last suggestions ran through her head: 'In death we are strong... We reap what we sow... We are not as we seem...'
"Looks can be deceiving...," she muttered, mostly to herself.

Endzela carefully made her way onto Piper's arm. The Familiar hoped she wouldn't be too heavy for the poor ghoul. Try as she might she'll probably leave Piper with a couple of scratches - a reminder that she had held a bird of prey.
Carefully she moved a bit closer toward Piper's head and began to gently fuss at her hair and just generally being a motherly owl as if the ghoul had suddenly become an over-sized owlet.
"Birds are much more acceptable," Endzela agreed. The owl might have been a bit biased. "But we are open to the traditional reaper mascot."
Seeing as her Reaper hadn't objected despite his arguing earlier at others as well as his general disinterest in general proceedings. "Perhaps we should select a group of 'popular' mascot and mottos that have been discussed and put them to an anonymous vote? Like what was done with the colors?" Endzela was at least being helpful.

Enzo's doodle wasn't too bad, he had to admit the somewhat disgusting reaper had some talent in drawing but. "No cats Enzo. I am not wearing a cat, or going with a mascot that has a cat anywhere on it. Anything but a cat." Joachim as he kept his arms crossed. Actually no that was a lie, he wouldn't go with an owl or a hawk either. Not that owl's were as bad as cats but, he looked at Kettil's familiar again.

"Whaaat, someone's afraid of a big bad p***y?" Enzo grinned, turning away from Emily to lean in and direct the full impact of said grin on Joachim. Truthfully, Enzo wasn't so big on cats either, but he at least was man enouhg to not make a huge deal about it. The look on Joa's face, though, was priceless, "A big fluffy wuffy cuddly p***y?"

Beaming with delight, Emily carefully took the picture for her dorm wall. "Thank you! I'm sure Mr. Monty will appreciate it too, once his Time Out is over." Joachim's words has her snapping her head up with a frown, though. "It's okay to be afraid of cats, Enzo. T-they are really scary and sometimes they get this look? Like they want to murder a thing." The witch was wide-eyed now, "But that's what makes them great, right? Because they're on our side."
She tried smiling again. It wasn't particularly convincing.

"Psssh," Enzo snorted, waving a hand at Emily. "Aint noffin' to be scared of. Not something you can easily subdue with a good, hard kick, yeah? Ahehehehehheh." He illustrated with one of the rats that had contented itself to lovingly try to groom his pantleg.

Somehow, a mandatory meeting sounded far more frighting than anything else he had attended, including field trips. It just didn't seem like a good idea to put all of them in the same area, especially not once he arrived and found out just what it was about. Seriously. Colors, a motto, a mascot. He shook his head, but sat down anyways. It was mandatory. He wasn't all that surprised when the more animal mascots seemed to be voted down, but a grim reaper was alright, he supposed. He didn't have a better idea. Or did he? " What about a minipet for our mascot?" Surely one of those might fit. " A scareon, or one of the others? And they could have the Reaper symbol on them." That'd be better than a familiar, since not everyone's familiar was the same species. He didn't think he had even seen another ferret running around, though with all the newcomers, there could be. " I kind of like 'We Are Not As We Seem' as a motto." The boy said, his familiar nodding. It seemed fitting. Quote: HOUSE COLOUR VOTE Student Name: Ilztmyr'ree House Colour Vote: Silver, Silver
