It actually took Robert far too long to respond to Jordan's text. He'd heard it, in his bedroom, and ignored it. But the blinking light started to get to him, reminding him that there were people here, in this world, that still needed him to pay attention.
So he read it. And sure enough, one of them needed his help after all.
When he arrived on the scene, Jezebel was already summoned, and a very exhausted, sullen looking Robert stared up at the shadow, pouting visibly. He had nothing to say, no fond hellos for his friends and co-workers, and no smile for his best friend. Just a hollow man, smacking s**t with hollow intent.
HP: 60 Damage: 10 Mod: 8 (lost 2 hunter memories) Charge: 1/3 Boss HP: (I think it's dead but I can't be sure)

The shadows trembled and shuddered at the onslaught, Robert's strike causing them to break and scatter, then come together once more only to shrink and compress onto a smaller and deeper shadow until finally nothing remained.
Except for a single ukulele, lying innocently on the ground.

Jerry blinked, breathing sharply as he stepped toward the instrument with a frustrated snarl. He aimed Roar left and right, glancing around the darkness around them frantically, but no sign... just the normal sort of darkness.
"He... he got away again! How did he get away AGAIN! We had him! Is... is he dead?" It didn't.... SEEM like dissaparation. It was almost too easy.
With a frustrated sigh, he reached to pick up his fallen Uke. At least that had somehow survived that farce.

Candace blinked. "Well...that was easy.." Too easy. She didn't realize how long the guys had been fighting that thing. She watched Jerry pick up the sudden ukulele with a frown. "Is that safe..? That wasn't there a second ago..."
And then it started ******** playing.
"...Put it down."

Harrison still wasn't right. And watching him argue with the voice in his head. With B0nez, only re-confirmed the fact. But at least he was fighting, at least he was doing something. He tried not to think about the fact that those swords were all that there was of one of his best friends in this place.
When the shadow man receded, the blue queen still couldn't reconcile the idea of being dumb enough to pick up something left behind by a ******** up creature of shadows as if it was nothing at all. Every ******** horror movie in history had taught him what a ridiculous idea it was. And besides, more s**t could always be bought, maybe not quite as easily as in Vegas but easily enough. Surely Jerry didn't ******** need a stupid ukulele that urgently.
Everyone in this kingdom was ******** idiots.
"Or you know, ******** don't." he drawled sarcastically.

Jordan had and hadn't forgotten that Harrison was different right now; it was painfully frustrating to watch him, too, strain for the wrong summon. At least he was still effective once he'd gotten it. Under the fresh barrage of attacks, the shadowman and his army seemed simply to melt away; Jordan stayed on guard, not sure at all that the thing was actually gone. "Thanks," he said to the others. His eyes lingered on Robert for a few extra moments. The big man looked exhausted and listless, unlike his usual boisterous energy.
The shadowman had left Jerry's ukelele, and Jordan was wearily unsurprised when it began to play by itself. He frowned, unable to place the familiar music for a moment. Then he got it, and his frown deepened. "That's usually for two instruments." Maybe he was overthinking things, but paranoia had served so far tonight.

Jerry jumped, nearly dropping the ukulele when it suddenly started playing itself. "Wait! Wait wait it's mine!' he wove to stop Candace before the woman got carried away and kicked it from his hands.
His grip tightened, nearly muffling the strings, his eyes narrowing. "Jordan's right. It is a duet." He knew what he needed to do if he wanted his Ukulele back in one piece.
Roar vanished in a burst of green light, freeing up his other hand to respond to the haunted Uke's challenge with one of his own, fingers dancing across the strings.

"Yeah, it's no problem.." Candace replied, though she was clearly distracted by Jerry and his 'magical' ukulele.
She frowned. "Jerry. Put it down. We'll get you a new ukulele."

Harrison was satisfied with the effectiveness of the swords, and kept them out.
He felt bad for maiming some regular guy - maybe the only normal person he'd seen in a while. But...a version of his guys had asked for help. He'd done the right thing. Probably.
He watched Jerry pick up his ukelele, but the fact that it played on its own didn't seem to bother him. Everybody else was freaking out, though.
"It's not supposed to do that?" he asked.

Out in the dark, another instrument began to play in answer to Jerry's challenge. The shadows once again rose, breaking apart to dance madly around the hunters, laughing and whistling as the twirled and kicked. Black, clawed hands gripped at them forcing the humans to join. The OOC If your hunter doesn't keep up with the dance, they get trampled by the hundreds of wild shadows! Roll 1d20! If your hunter rolls less than 5, they fall and get knocked out! If they roll a 20, they escape the mob! Jerry, however, does not get mobbed, and instead is ringed by laughing shadows egging him on to keep playing. Jerry needs to keep up with the music and not falter! Roll 1d20 If he rolls less than 10, they strike out at him, causing 10 damage! If he rolls a 20, he defeats the other players, and the shadows go silent and still once more.

Goddamnit Jerry
Candace sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. It's not supposed to do that? He asked. Harrison. Harrison why?
She heard music again and looked up to see it wasn't Jerry this time. Why wasn't he ******** listening? How could he not see this was not good? This was obviously a ******** trap!
"..Annnnd there it is," Candace groaned when she noticed the shadows. She elbowed one in the gut, she hoped, when she felt her arms grabbed. "Get off! Jerry! Get rid of that thin--"
They trampled her, unsatisfied by her lack of effort to join in their dance.

Everything once again went haywire, as expected given Jerry's monumental lack of self preservation. When Rep got back to his kingdom, his Jerry was going to find himself fired on a very permanent basis. He'd take the ire of Jordan and the Boss if he had to.
When the dance got going, it was his turn to shake his head. No ******** way, no one made the blue queen dance like their ******** puppet, he danced for one, maybe two people in the entire ******** world and neither of them were presently here.
Besides, the shadows wouldn't appreciate the kind of moves he had under his belt.
He smooth criminaled the ******** out of their grasp, sticking the massive axe in the ground to lean on and observe, fishing out a cigarette from his coat courtesy of the hoard to light as he did so.
he said.
