Makina was silent, contemplating...
Then stabbed Eva straight in her foot.
'... Ouch,' Jay noted with an insane grin on his face.
'If I felt like pairing you and Jon together was a good idea, I would have done so. Doubting and arguing with your superiors? You're lucky I don't give you death by firing squad,' the lady spat at her. She withdrew her blade and sheathed it, then made her leave. As she left, she added, 'If I catch wind of another complaint, it won't just be the foot, Eva. It'll be every body part for every complaint.'

(Eva gasped at the pain and blinked whimpering as she shook her head and whimpered and grabbed at her foot hissing in pain...glaring at Jay and Rios...her eyes promised them pain for this embarrassment.)

Jay grinned and replied to her look with, 'Too scared,' before using his plates to form a double barrier around him. As for Rios... Eh, screw Rios. (No offence meant, Mister Ari.)
As Makina left, Jon asked, 'You think they'll manage to get along?'
'Tch... Not with her streak,' she replied with a depressing sigh. She added, 'You know she'd be better off with you?'
'Perhaps. But you made the choice - you have to stand by it, right?'
'True... A warrior always stands by his code of conduct.'
'In any case, if the situation worsens, just set her with me,' he whispered to her, so there was zero chance of them hearing him. 'We don't need an inside threat right now.'
'We don't need any threats, period, Jon. I know you're the last 1st generation Undertaker, but... You're no inspiring leader yourself.'
'Touche.'
Makina smirked knowingly before making her leave back towards her office - she hoped she wouldn't have to intrude again.

LotusLover1209 Eva hiss and kicked him away from her)get the hell away from me!(she glared at him)if you'd have gotten the hit none of this would have happened!(she said as her foot bleed more) Rios caught her bleeding foot and froze the wound so it stopped bleeding. "Can you stop acting so hostile for 5 minutes so I can apologize for all this" he said and waited for her to do so.

(Eva glared at him....her eyes hard and wide fighting the tears that where burning)I hate men!!! You always destory and ruin everything!!! Nothing a man touches stays whole and pure!!!(she was screaming at him as she ripped her foot from his grip)Now leave me the hell alone!!!(she shrieked and got up and stumbled and limped out of the room)

Jon sighed and poked Eva as she left.
'Eva... Just remember he's trying to make an effort at being nice for once? God knows he sucks at it, but it's probably better than nothing.'

'Yes, well, what'd you expect from a Deadman?' Jon sighed in reply. 'All Deadmen have their own "tricks", remember.'
He added almost sadly, 'Besides, I only use what I have and what the world gives me. It gave me my immunity to Deadmen's Branches of Sin as well as my hatred of them. It also didn't help that they boosted my body durability, strength and such. It was forced onto me, but it's still in some way a form of cheating in my mind...
'But at least I can use them to ensure we can stay alive... Right?'

'Hm... I suppose that's true,' Jon replied disdainfully, continuing, 'And anyone can win a fistfight if they're faster than their opponent as well as patient. If you remember, I waited until I spotted a moment to strike and... well, barraged you with punches until you gave in.'
He scratched the back of his head and then sighed. 'Be thankful it isn't Jay, at least - That guy has a way with words and nerves I can never get around.'
