She shook her head. "This was always your home. If it can still be called that." She smiled sadly.
"It's weird, it feels so comfortable and so right here yet it also feels foreign...it's not my home anymore...not without all the people."
Yadi sighed and slowly put her feet back down, her hands now tucked under her. "You did confuse me at one point Kyrai. But not in a negative way. You made me want to be what I am today, so I really have to thank you for that." She smiled
"Well that someone must be fairly predictable if you're looking for them here."

And, just like that, he was shy around her again. "Well...I'm glad to hear that I.." Kyrai coughed and adjusted his seat. "I don't think so. I would have never guessed this person very predictable. I think that I was just hoping to get to see them again." He nodded to himself and kept his eyes on the floor. "Yea, I've missed everyone as well."

Yadi was a bit surprised by the sudden change of mood in the conversation.
"I missed you too." She said awkwardly.
"I mean....you were dead...so...it's wasn't really missing you...I really, really wished you were back." She said as she began to play with the hair elastic on her wrist.
She waited a moment as she carefully chose her words before turning to look at him. "I cried a lot, Kyrai. I wanted to be with you, so it destroyed me..." She paused. "I feel like I owe you at least this much of an explanation. It took me a very long time to come to terms with your death you know. It wasn't easy for anyone." She chuckled "I feel like this conversation is sort of overdue."

"Kyrai nodded a bit and looked down. He berated himself for bringing that up. "Yea, I'm sorry that I put you through that. For me, it's like things are still the same. Like I woke up from a really long nap. I forgot that I was really gone a very long time."
Kyrai sighed a bit, "I never wanted you to cry over me. I wanted to protect you." He couldn't help but flinch at her use of past tense. "I want...wanted to be with you more than anything."

A sad smile appeared on her lips. She couldn't help but feel nostalgic. A bit jealous even of what she had with Kyrai back then. Part of her longed to have that connection again, but it felt like something so distant and faded. She just didnt feel as she did then.
"I'm sorry if things are awkward." She said referring to the fact that Kyrai still felt as if time hadnt passed and what they had was still there. She knew there were still feelings between them, but it felt as if those feelings belonged to who she used to be.
"However, since time has indeed passed, I can finally admit to you that you really were quite the charmer." She smiled trying to lighten up the mood.

Kyrai rose from his seat and took the spot at the window sill that had been Kyle's long ago. He couldn't face her right then, but he kept his voice even. "It was natural. Like something that just should have been. I felt like I didn't have to try to be something around you. Like, I could just relax."
Kyrai sighed again. -More questions. Always more questions.-
After taking her shower, Kara had returned to her old room and had snuggled down in the old and dirty sheets for a nap. When she arose, she spent quite a bit of her time wandering the old hallways, consumed with her memories. She'd gone to see a mind healer, after everything that had happened to her as a child, just to see if there was something she was missing.
Those memories. Her old memories. A past life long buried by magic and something else had returned to her. So it was that this person this Kara was not the one anyone would remember, But neither was she sum of all those experiences good and bad. She had hope now and already she was looking forwards to reconnecting and forging brighter bonds with the people she loved.
So it was that when she came down the stairs into the lobby and saw Yadi sitting there, she smiled and fought back the tears in her eyes. A cool smile hovered about her lips and then she grinned in earnest. "Hey sis."

Yadi stood up and followed Kyrai to the window.
"You still can." She smiled leaning against the wall, her hands crossed behind her separating her lower back from the hard wall.
"I'm still the same person." She said taking out a hand from behind her and pushing one side of her hair behind her ear. "For the most part." She added remembering her hair had been black the last time she'd seen any of them.
It felt a bit odd reassuring a person that she felt like she didnt know anymore that everything was still the same, that she was still the same, especially when she knew everything was very different now. Things started changing when he died, and kept on changing still after she left. She had changed. Her outlook, personality, opinions, even feelings on different things had changed. That made her feel like she was meeting strangers for the first time. She was sure everyone had changed as well which would not help with making her feel like they were all good friends again. Regardless, you dont stop loving someone in 5 years. She knew she still loved all her friends and it was a matter of time before she felt like home again.
She glanced at Kyrai and quickly looked away. She couldnt deny the attraction was still there, but not the same effortless unspoken chemistry. In a way it relieved her since that would probably just complicate things further.
Especially with Dio running around as well. She had always enjoyed innocently flirting around with him, and that still hadnt changed based on their previous encounter, but she wasn't as innocent or as naive anymore. And she couldn't keep playing the part either. It's what had made her unhappy in the first place.
She knew they would all have to get to know eachother again to see how this reunited family would now get along.
Her heart skipped a beat when another female voice suddenly joined in the conversation. Yadi's eyes darted straight to the source, widening once realization hit her. "Holy...." She pushed herself away from the wall unable to complete the phrase.
"Is that you, Kara bear?" She managed to ask completely stunned. It looked like her sister but she just couldn't process the fact that Kara was standing in front of her. What were the odds? Especially when she had been told throughout the past 2 years that GIT had been deseted and no one had ever returned.
