Rosangela laid down under the tree, waiting for him to speak, noting how quiet he was. Of course, while he had been taking care of her, she noticed that could be quite normal. When he asked if he could tell his favorite story, she nodded her head and smiled softly at him.
"Yes, by all means, I welcome hearing your favorite story. You have been wonderful with stories and I am curious now about your favorite,"Rosa replied with a smile.

Myth sighed and looked away, closing his eyes as he began to tell his story. "A long time ago that actually wasn't that long ago, there lived a lonely nomad in the depths of the desert where there was no water around for days. He was soon becoming dehydrated and dying, as the body can only live so long without water when, by the light of the night moon, he saw a most lovely sight. A desert rose, so rare, so unknown to this stallion as he thought that this beauty was only reserved for the north. But as he got closer, he saw that the rose was dying as well. So he dug it up, down to the roots, and it became his mission, his duty, to restore this rose, this delicate beauty. Two days passed, and he thought that it would be the end, but at daybreak, he saw grass, and rivers and the most beautiful plains he'd ever laid eyes on, though that might be because it had been months since he had seen grass and trees. Immediately, the stallion set to work, and dug a hole and planted the rose in the most loveliest of places, and he planned to stay by her, but on the third morning he awoke to the rose gone. He began to panic, but his eyes lightened upon a most beautiful mare standing not ten paces from where the rose had been. She smiled and thanked him for saving her, and asked his name. He told her and he asked if she was his rose. She smiled again and nodded as he pledged to never leave her side. And so the two enjoyed their life together until death." He said, looking back at Rose before looking away sadly.

Rosangela listened carefully to the story and by the end of it, she knew what he was trying to say. He had called her his 'desert rose' on several occasions over the course of him nursing her back to health. She was the rose in the story and she smiled, her eyes starting to water. She rose to her feet and walked over to him, nuzzling him gently.
"Do you mean it...do you want to be by my side forever?"Rosa asked quietly.

Myth sighed and looked at her solemnly, taking a moment to formulate his thoughts before he spoke them. "I cannot be around humans, Rose. I do not know what I would do around them." He tilted his head a minute degree as he spoke.

Rosangela looked thoughtful as he spoke, wondering what they could do about this. She didn't want to live far from her family, but she also did not want him to feel uncomfortable. She knew her mom was bonded to a human, so how could they do what would work for both of them?
"Well, we can see what you would do around one human, like Lady Dea herself. Or we could do what Aunt Michi and her family do and live somewhere in neutral territory. We could be close to my family, but where you would be more comfortable. It is up to you, Myth,"Rosa suggested.

Myth looked at her sadly. "I cannot ask you to leave your family, Rose..." He said softly, regretfully. After several moments he finally turned, ready to leave. "I shall never bother you again. Goodbye, Rose." He began to walk away.

Rosangela had a stunned look in her eyes when she heard him and her heart ached. She saw him turn to leave and she hurried over to him, shaking her head quietly.
"Please, do not leave, I don't want to live without you. While I was away from you, I found myself thinking about you alot. I like hearing your stories and being with you, it makes me happy,"Rosa spoke quietly.

Myth sighed and turned back towards Rose. His Rose. But her words.. it was all he could take. Suddenly he was right in front of her, his neck draped around hers as he held on as tight as he could. "Don't leave me again..." He said softly, his voice deep and almost in a growl.

Rosangela wondered if her words had gotten through to him, when she suddenly felt his neck on top of her own. A soft smile came to her lips as she nuzzled into him, this was where she belonged...with him.
"I won't leave you again, you make me whole, Myth. Please, never leave me or feel like I was just some rose you could throw away,"Rosa pleaded quietly.

Myth's eyes furrowed as he studied her hard. 'I could never through you away, Rose." He said, his heart feeling like it was ripping in two. Could he really do it? Could he forsake everything he knew to be with her, so his heart could be whole? It only took him a few seconds to make up his mind. Yes, yes he could. And he would. He loved her, and that feeling, that emotion was far better than anything he could find without her. "I won't let you leave me ever."

Rosangela's eyes watered at what he said, though they were not tears of sadness...no, they were pure joy.
"Thank you, I don't want you to ever let me leave you...I am happy beside you. We just need to figure out where to live, so that you are comfortable and I am close to home,"Rosa spoke. She felt happier than she had felt in a long time.
