Grimm pulled himself from the ground to move over to Lacey's side, nudging her gently. "Are you alright?" he asked softly. Although he had no fear of Ruin, most other Azrien did... And Lacey had even more reason to be worried about the flamer's presence than most.

Grimm shook his head. "It does matter," he insisted, though he didn't move to touch her again. Instead, he gently nudged little Roman. "Children are very aware of their mother's emotions. If you're upset, they will become so as well."

Grimm gently nosed her back, his expression gentle. "Would you like me to be around?" he asked. Yes, he wasn't sure if he would be welcome around her family, but he also knew that Lacey was shaky. He wasn't sure he wanted to leave her when she still needed--or even just desired--his support. If Iota needed him, he'd be there for her.

Grimm smiled back, slightly amused. "Few things can truly make me uncomfortable." Circling her and the boys once, he added, "And apparently your discomfort is one of them."

Grimm bowed with a smile. "With pride." He didn't mind being strange at all. If it meant he could be himself, than strange was much better than 'normal'. His gaze moved to the approaching figures. "Ah. I think a decision has been made for us."

Plouton's gaze had just fallen on Lacey as Grimm spoke. He didn't register the stallion or the foals until he'd closed the gap between him and his lost best friend. "You're back," he breathed, as if he couldn't believe it. Lacey was back. She was home... His gaze went down to the foals at her feet. "And you have kids?" The one with the fiery markings had that lacey pattern like Iota did...

Delta followed at a slower pace, not complaining that their morning ritual was being interrupted by his sister's return. His mother had mentioned a few times how close Plouton had been to Lacey--and how hard her absence had hit him.

Plouton's blue eyes lit up--literally--at the nuzzling, his whole body radiating his joy. His expression fell a bit when hers did. Had something happened with the father? He watched Lacey nuzzle the foals, chuckling as he watched the one with her lace markings. "He acts like you, Lacey," he informed her cheerfully. Always on the move, moving away from the mother in the process...

Delta happily accepted his sister's cuddling, laughing at Plouton's observation. "I remember that! Mama was always running after you."

Plouton lifted his gaze to the straw-covered stallion when Lacey introduced him, nodding his greeting. "It's nice to meet you, Grimm," he said politely.

Grimm dipped his head in greeting. "Likewise." His attention was quickly stolen, however by the poor colt that had gotten himself all tangled up in his blanket...

Delta smiled in amusement. "Djimon had that happen sometimes too," he recalled. Getting flipped over or tangled in his blanket...

"Oh! There you are!" Beta trotted over to Delta and Plouton, smiling. "You've already found her, I see. ...Oh? Hello. I don't think we've been introduced. I'm Beta, Iota's mother."

Grimm dipped his head again to Iota's mother. "I'm Grimm Fate. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Beta."

The mare giggled. "You don't have to call me 'Miss'. That just makes me feel old!"

Grimm chuckled. "My apologies, Beta. I will try to avoid making you feel old in the future."

Grimm blinked in surprise, grateful when Lacey rescued him from her son's flames. He chuckled as Remus squawked and... appeared to try and shove Roman away, but ended up rocketing away from his brother instead. And what the foal hit was Grimm's leg. He leaned down to check and make sure Remus was alright before glancing up at the mare whose tail had hit him. His tail flicked back at her, his own expression brightening further at the sight of her smile.

Beta smiled. "Morning, sweetie!" She looked between the two, and asked, "So, how long have you two known each other?" Lacey had clearly met the stallion after she'd left... Beta was positive she'd never seen her daughter with the straw-covered male before.

"One day." Officially, anyway.
