She'd heard of a grue before. It was something her mother had said once.
"My mother once told me if people were bad they got turned into grues..." Or maybe she was mistaking it for a good which probably wasn't the same thing. In fact, it wasn't, but they sounded similar enough for her to think it for the long term now.
"Ohhh, is that who is singing? He does have a very nice voice. Perhaps you will introduce me sometime?" Angeline was always eager to make friends, after all.
Taking her seat, Angeline was cautious to notch the plate that was hers so she didn't accidentally touch Terra's. She'd done that a few times in the past as a child, after all...
"Oh! You'll have to draw in my space as well, then." Angeline smiled brightly. "Or I could..try...."
"Tomoko?" Erebus spluttered in surprise, his free hand tightly clenching the sides of his cloak because he did not have a shirt on, and apparently he had a crystal ball in another hand. Huh. "Forgot? About you? Of course I wouldn't!" He didn't actually quite understand that this was the her Thack had been talking about, because Erebus had been absolutely sure that Tomoko had someone else for a prom date. Right now, he honestly believed that because they hadn't seen each other in a while, she might have thought he was avoiding her.
(He actually was doing that for quite a bit after the whole thing with the kings and Thack and the dreams, plus the thing with the Valentines Day cards, but that had been a while ago so...)
"So uh... where's your prom date?"
Utterly. Clueless.
Erebus is a Cerberus bro and is wearing a fortune teller outfit.
Tomoko's brows furrowed together before she slowly pointed at him, her ears drooped as though she was a little bit hurt.
"Did Thackkun not pass on my answer? I mean, I seemed to always miss you after I got your card under my door he told me he'd pass on my answer to you if he saw you first........" she trailed off and frowned a little bit.

If Soren was going to attend some event put on by students, he was damn well going to be comfortable doing it. He had splurged, purchasing a nice pair of pinstriped pants, and had paired them with suspenders, something he was not accustomed to wearing. The ensemble was complete with his pelt, his body seeming to reject the mere idea of a shirt.
Well, not entirely complete with the pelt. No, the mare on his arm complimented and completed his entire look. Having the most beautiful woman in the room on his arm had a smug smirk playing on his lips as his eyes danced across the room. The only dancing he would do that night unless he was roped into it, but he was fairly willing to get roped into things depending on who asked. "Ready Priestess?"

"Si! I will be happy to introduce you!" Terra said, eating with one hand and starting to draw ever so seriously with the other. She wouldn't get it finished, she was certain, but she would get as much as she could done!
"Nahm is a very nice boil!" Because she had no clue how much of a flirt he was--since Nahm never flirted with her.
Up on stage--completely without Terra's noticing, Roch grinned. Good timing, he thought, still playing as if nothing had happened. He wondered if she realized he would grab her this soon.
Probably not.

Angeline idly shoved a piece of food into her mouth while she continued her attempts to draw (which looked like a massive scribble.)
The upside was that because wax had texture she could at least try to avoid areas that had been drawn on the table-paper-cloth already. If only to try and ruin other people's drawings. She was sure someone had already written a 'CALL XXX-XXXX FOR A GOOD TIME' memo on there..amongst other things that she probably would have been fortunate to never see. Unless they were the first ones there.
Then it would just be a matter of time before any of that happened for her to not see.
"Is he? That's good. I'm glad there are lots of nice people at this school for me to meet.. which reminds me! Maybe Sparrow will be here! I need to say hello if he is."
Erebus stared blankly down at Tomoko's finger, and then slowly pointed to himself. "Me? But I... didn't... what--"
Thackkun. Thack. Thackery.
"Can't make her wait, after all!"
"Oh." He muttered softly to himself, cheeks slowly reddening. "Oh. Thack. So that's what he meant by... oh." His hands were starting to sweat nervously and Erebus wondered, for a moment, if the crystal ball was fragile. "I uh..." He swallowed down a lump in his throat, and smiled sheepishly at Tomoko. "I... think Thack, uh..., set us up." Why his brother had done this, he had no idea, but!! Tomoko had looked somewhat distressed just now when he asked about her prom date, hadn't she? "I mean, not that I didn't want to ask you to prom or anything because I would have but I thought that someone else would probably ask you first and yeah I really thought that would happen and you know I'm not really a party person and..." Wait. He was babbling. Oh Jack, he was babbling and it sounded really bad, and Erebus stopped to take a deep breath. Or maybe a few.
"I mean, I honestly didn't know that I was going to prom with you, but I..." Another deep breath, Erebus, "Would really be honored to be your prom date." He confessed softly, holding out his arm.
...And then promptly remembered that he wasn't wearing a shirt, and his face went a deeper shade of red.
Erebus is a Cerberus bro and is wearing a fortune teller outfit.

"Sparrow?" Terra repeated. "I have not met a Sparrow! It is someone you can introduce me to!" she said. "Oh, this will be a wonderful night for making new friends!" But as she said that she shoved a munchie into her mouth and started drawing the second skull. "Oh, and I saw a fearris wheel and a rollercoaster outside! Should we go ride them sometime?"

If it was possible for Tomoko to look any more distressed than she normally did by default, it was slowly happening as Erebus began to backpedal from the situation he was in. Namely in that he'd not actually asked her to come to Prom with him. Not that she would have ever understood why Thackery would have been trying to set them up (maybe it was because Thackkun had been an awesome prom date himself the year before..).
"Why would I have someone else asking me?" she asked. "I mean..most of the people I know are either in relationships or they go solo." Like Jove. Not to say she probably wouldn't get a dance in with Jove before the end of the evening, but.... Oh, and Jack too! She needed to find Jack too.
Her ears slowly started to perk back up again as Erebus (personally) revised the ask to be her prom date, reaching out to take his arm..before turning a matching shade of red at the sight of his chest.
He wasn't wearing a shirt.
Tomoko quickly wrapped her arm around his and tried to not make eye contact with the shirtlessness.

"Yes! Sparrow showed me around the school when I was brand new and gave me some helpful advice." About Hunters. She wasn't sure if Terra knew about them and made a mental note to ask her about it when they weren't..well... somewhere public.
Sparrow had made it sound very important, after all, and putting worry into public was a bad idea.
"Oh yes! I have..ah..never been on any sort of carnival ride myself, but I imagine even if I can't see anything I can at least feel them, yes?"

"Oh, feeling is the most important part of them!" Terra said, starting on the third skull. She stopped, a strange expression on her face and turned to look around. "I have the strangest feeling that I am being hunted..." she said. "I wonder if Roch is still angry about his eyephone..."
She'd given it back! Eventually.

Siddie was looking forward to prom. It was always memorable, and she liked seeing everyone in their finery. Plus, she got to dress Sammy up. She smiled up at the ghoul at her side as they stepped into the tent. "You look really pretty," she told the zombie.
Serafina slipped into the Big Top as soon as she could, knowing that she needed to have her eyes on everything--for a reason besides her own curiosity, for once!--and not wanting to disappoint the hobs that were working with her if she ended up being a late knob--how embarrassing that would be, wouldn't it? More embarrassing than this hat that wouldn't stay up for certain.
Still, she needed that much resolved.
Serafina was pleased to pull out her phone and see that Steffani was already there. Awesome! This would be easy to take care of then. Shifting a bit, she pulled out her own skellyphone and quickly typed out a reply.
Duke of Donut
Got it! Be over there in a bit!
Unlike most of the people there, Serafina the Chaperone already had the advantage of knowing the layout of the prom, and was able to visualize the table that Steffani was talking about. Needless to say, it wasn't long before she was there to save Steffani from sitting there for too much longer.
Ah, there she was! To get her attention, Serafina offered an unusually loud, "Steff, hey!" to attempt to get over the noise of the growing crowd.
"Thank you so much for offering to do this, Steffani." She offered, when she came up to her, holding one of her headbands in one hand and the black with red-striped hat in the other. Carefully, she put the headband on and positioned the hat where she would want it, on the side to the opposite angle of her curly up-do. "I wanted the hat positioned like this. I tried to position it with pins," she paused, with a laugh, "but it wasn't working very well. I don't think gravity agrees." Carefully, she took the headband and the hat back off.
Usually Sammy was impartial to Prom, it didn't really mean too much to her, but this year was different, she planned on graduating in the near future and it had been three years at the school, most of them spent with Siddie. Even as the other ghoul complimented her she found her bone fingers adjusting her collar one last time before offering Siddie a sheepish smile.
"Only for you." Another hand with far less bone slid over Siddie's shoulder as they walked into the prom. For once Sammy was actually sporting heels and not falling on her face thankfully!

No prom would be complete without someone there to ruin nights.
Enter one Lou C. Ferre.
Ah, prom. A time of possibility. Possibilities for many things, really. A possibility for mischief. A possibility for new enemies. A possibility to make an everlasting impression! Whether that impression consist of extreme hatred or a hot one night stand, he really didn't care.
His attire hadn't changed much, really, besides a shoddy tophat that looked like it had been tossed aside for a reason. Really complimented his personality. In that hat, there sat a playing card. The jack of hearts. One could say it.... Suited him (ba dm chh).
(( Lou's free floating if anyone needs a good... Distraction? ))
