She could feel her hair being pushed away from her face. The light pressure of his fingers against her throat. This couldn’t possibly be real, he couldn’t be real! It was part of the illusion. And yet, she wanted desperately to be near it. Her fingers twitched as her eyes darted between the open door and the familiar male Oblivionite before her.
Something about the sweetness of the gesture brought even more tears to her eyes. The simple breeze of fresh air mingled with the figure before her. Soothed her, but couldn’t calm the growing sense that some small part of her was coming undone with his presence. Evoking a deeper ache, a frightening thing that she couldn’t define. The subtle touch of a burgeoning need blossomed under the tender rise of emotions. Arousing her will to live, the need to feel, the indecision of a heart tainted by sadness that dared to wish for something more.
Part of her wanted to strike out, complain that he had taken too long. Punch him, bit him, anything just to know he was there. Another part feared a recoiling reaction, as if he would pull away the moment she drew close. Bowing her head so her hair fell like a familiar wall, Erionda leaned forward. Her arms reached forward, her body trying to swallow the growing lump in her throat. Unsteady and unsure, she snaked her arms around his neck as she held him close. Burying her face in the crook of his neck. Part of her wanted him to stay, yet every inch expected him to pull away. She wanted to tighten her grip, fearing it was all a dream. Part of some illusion made by her unconscious mind.
Her hands tangled in the thick locks of his hair. Her heart was pounding so hard, it was like a wild creature trying to escape. Slowly she relaxed against him, her breathing slowing as the rapid pounding of her heart diminished to normal. Her arms loosened around him but didn’t fall away. Her mismatched eyes searching Junjie as he spoke. He seemed to voice the very fear within her. She feared ending up as just more parts for whatever it was that was going on. All she could manage to respond with was a simple nod and a grunt of acknowledged approval.
She wanted to leave the place. Leave the tortuous fear. And yet, she couldn’t bring herself to move. She felt vulnerable. Afraid. The feelings were quickly made worse at the approach of an Oblivionite she didn’t recognize. Her body became rigid, the fear still coursing through her. She was surrounded by Oblivionites everywhere. The only ones she knew to trust were Junjie, Kilian and Tilawen. But who were these others? It was unlikely they would have all come for her, she was a useless half breed in the eyes of almost every pure blood.
Shifting back away from Kilian Erionda pushed herself to her feet. Her movements slow and unsteady. Reaching out she was quickly aided by her concerned Uassae. Though she refused to say anything more to the strangers around her. She didn’t trust them. Her legs felt like jelly under her body. Clinging to Uassae, Lanzecki gave her a nudge from behind.
It was as if the Drakein themselves communicated without her. Uassae had lowered himself to the ground. And with another soft nudge from Lanzecki, the young female Hybrid shifted onto the large Aeduans back.
Rumbling his approval, Uassae rose. His wings shifting slightly to help keep Erionda balanced. Lanzecki and Uassae, seemed far happier now that they had been reconnected with their bonded. ” That horrible man must pay for this. I don’t know about you, but I’m going after him.” Glancing around the group of those gathered and towards the ones who were still arriving from the tunnel. He shifted and began his trek down the large tunnel.

Araceli Ara's hands gripped at Toki's neck as he moved through the desert. She was not use to riding on another creature's back and was thankful that his wings helped keep her steady. Where were they going and what would they find when they got there? That creature from before? She shuddered slightly at the thought. The sight of him had been horrible and she'd be glad to never see him again. Maybe the older ones would take care of him.
Her eyes scanned the surrounding area and a small gasp left her lips as they came upon a cave. The group slowly made their way inside. The entrance was a tight squeeze and Ara felt herself ducking down even though she wasn't really anywhere close to the ceiling. She kept her gaze in front of her. As they entered a large cavern like room she gasped again and felt her stomach roll. She felt as if she would be sick. "Toki...it's horrible." She mumbled as she stood up taller to get a better look. "Bodies everywhere. They look like hybrids. Blood. Lots of blood." She shook her head and she looked away from the bodies littering the floor and into the rest of the room. "Strange runes are carved into the walls and they're glowing." She bit her lip. "Magic." She shuddered as her gaze fell to the cages lining the other wall. "So many creatures...I'm not sure what they are though. They're so...misshapen.."
Araceli now wished that they hadn't followed the group into the cave. This was horrible. So, so horrible. She never, in a million years, expected this to be what they found. "Looks like the girl that was kidnapped has been found." Ara said as she spied a male Oblivionite releasing the female Hybrid from the cage. She looked away as they embraced. Such a strange sight. Why would an Oblivionite care about a Hybrid? Word Count: 318
Kilian Kilian's sockets widened and his body stiffened as she moved closer to him. He sucked in a breath as her skin brushed his. A warm feeling rushed through his body at the contact he'd so craved. At a time like this, though, he was unsure if she even knew what she was doing. No matter. His body relaxed and his breath rushed out of him as her arms tightened around his neck and she buried her face there. His arms came up and wrapped around her, pulling her even closer to his body, not wanting to let go. Ever. He buried his face in her hair and held back tears that threatened to spill over. "I thought I'd lost you..." He whispered.
Kilian wished that they could stay there, forever. Embracing like this was a gift, something he thought would never happen. His fingers tangled in her hair at the same times her's moved into his. Kilian was soon brought out of his own world, though. Junjie was talking. He growled low in his throat at being interrupted but looked up when he felt Erionda turn her attention towards him as well. If the hybrid hadn't been one of Erionda's friends he would have struck out at him for even interrupting them.
What he was saying was true, though. This was not a place to dwell in. So much death and destruction. Kilian felt Erionda stiffen again and he looked up. Ekundayo was there. As was Tilawen. He looked past them and saw a large group of miss matched Magescians, including the leaders. What was going on?
Kilian jumped as Erionda went to move away from him. His arms tightened slightly and then slowly loosened their grip from around her. It made his heart ache to let her go but he knew that she was strong. He rose to his full height. He watched as her Drakeins greeted her and she then climbed onto Uassae's back. Amadia's nose nudged Kilian's hand and he ran it over her horns, letting out a deep breath he'd been holding.
He nodded at Uassae. Kilian would go where Erionda went. It would be a while, now, before he would let her out of his sight. He moved to be beside Uassae and looked up at Erionda. "You're not going without me." He said as they started down the large tunnel. Amadia was quick to follow. Word Count: 401

Tilawen
Everything had become a blur, from getting out of the sands, possibly seeing that strange shape in the distance to heading to the caves. For the young woman the entire thing was overwhelming to her. She never did things with others besides her father and now there was an over stimulus of people, drakein and new areas. Her brain didn't want to compute she simply followed in behind everyone keeping herself several feet behind everyone.
Once they had entered the cave...the smell of blood, dried and fresh assailed her nostrils. Something was rotting or rather many things were rotting, there were bodies everywhere dismembered and strewn about like a toymaker had gotten tired of the dolls he had available to make. Seeing the countless bodies hardly effected her, the smell of death was something she was familiar with and though most people would feel an emotion at seeing all of the death she hardly seemed effected. Why should she care who these people were? She didn't know them.
All she cared about was finding Eironda, making sure Junjie was kept safe. Sure she didn't want the rest of her company dead, but the people she didn't know well...she had little emotion about one way or another. Looking over the bodies she could sense they were dismembered for a purpose there was nothing mutilated about the bodies, everything was done for a purpose it felt to her.
Looking up she seemed startled to see that the creature...was suddenly there and they would have to make a decision.

Hearing a familiar voice behind him, one that he really never thought that he would hear in this place of all places, Junjie turned to look at the other hybrid that had joined him and he starred at him, wide eyed, "Tyrok?" He murmured, for a moment lifting a hand to him, brushing it against the other guy's arm as though to make sure he was real and not just him seeing things. He felt solid enough though, didn't he? Giving a weak smile he said, "I came along with a few others to get a friend back." He said, glad that he'd come since Erionda was safe, but he would rather this be the end of his adventure in this creepy tunnel.
As Erionda got up to her feet Junjie turned to check on her, feeling relief flow through him, surely this meant that they could go now? It was one of those thoughts that lasted for but a moment before suddenly it seemed that they were... going after the one that had taken Erionda?! He opened his mouth to tell her that it was a terrible idea, that they should leave this place as fast as possible... surely Kilian would agree? He turned to look at him... but it seemed that he was going to stay with Erionda? The two of them hurried on ahead and he found himself standing there a little dumbfounded, "Erionda... Kilian..." He murmured, taking a couple steps forward, paused, and look back over his shoulder at Tilawen and Tyrok, "I... I will try to get them to come back." He said to his fellow hybrids, sighed a little, and hurried along after the two that had already run on ahead.
This was a horrible, horrible idea... they needed to come back, away from that... that... thing, out of this dark, blood filled pit, and they could go... anywhere else. He didn't really care at this point where they went so long as it was in this place. Everything about it put him on edge, gave him the creeps, and made him want to retreat. He'd refrain though, not the sort that would abandon his friends. Sure, if he was alone, he'd run as fast as his feet would carry him but with nearly everyone he cared about somehow gathered in this one cave... well, he wasn't really going anywhere, was he?
There was a moment where Abellio hesitated, as though he knew exactly how afraid Junjie was about going down the tunnel after the others. He knew and that was why he couldn't leave him alone, huh? He looked up at Tila and gave the best smile a Keindred could muster, "Will get Jun, Tila." He said to her, giving a nod, then hurried after his bonded as though he could actually drag him back.

“Ya, dat sounds like it be a good time Junjie.” He doesn’t drink tea but anything is better than danger. Eku will brave against a cup of hot herbal tea than the desert any day of his life. And apparently the other hybrid seemed to be fine as both Vilzun and Eku dug her out of the sand too. As everyone has gotten together, the mage had finally learned about what they were doing all this time. A friend of theirs named Erionda has been taken away by . . . something? It didn’t give him much at all to look. No matter, he would whatever he can to help since this Erionda must be important to them and to Kilian who made him run off from the Oblivionite camp in the first place. They’re friends with other races so it is obvious that they would risk their life to keep them safe from harm.
As he saw Kilian returning back to them, Junjie spoke up more about the thing that took their friend away of being . . . a less attractive version of him? “I . . . don’ know if I might be a bit offended Junjie . . .” He said with a slight glare at the hybrid; wanting to smack him with his scepter and then to Vilzun for he was laughing. But . . . a patchwork doll. It made him cringe so much and his skin crawled. How can there be something that looks like him? It made him incredibly worried about Erionda now. The mage didn’t want to think of the worse if she might be made to look like him and this strange kidnapper. No . . . he couldn’t let another person go through that as he nodded in agreement. She will be found and be safe too.
They followed after in hopes to find the missing girl. His hollowed eyes looked ahead to see . . . something different than he had assumed upon the mountainside. A structure was there and also a cave. But, he couldn’t approach the cave as easily as the others can for his legs seemed to have frozen in place. His Keindred had stopped walking and looked up to see Eku with a worried look upon his face as he gave him a nudge to move. As much as he wants to walk with the others . . . fear has stricken his legs. It was something so silly too as he shook his head to clear his thoughts before looking down at Vilzun. “I be sorry. Let’s go in wit dem.” Soon, he was able to lift one leg up and more forward finally. He could feel that his legs are still heavy but nothing to worry about . . . or so he thought.
He walked inside and his senses were bombarded by the putrid stench of blood. It was so much for him to bear than the normal as he walked in deeper. There were bodies too amongst the darkness and blood of what appears to be of different races intermingling. They were . . . patched together. The stitches of the mismatched skin . . . stitches . . . STITCHES! It had made him sick to his stomach just by seeing all of this! “Gh—” Eku winced heavily in pain as he leaned against the wall of the cave for he lost the ability to breath now. “What . . . what be goin’ on here?!” The mage thought to himself with such rage. The experimentation . . . that looked something like him; it made his body ache and burn with terrible pain and his head pounding too. He wanted to destroy all of this. What sort of monster wanted to do this? Nothing good can come from this . . .
Soon, Vilzun gave a firm bite right at his arm and the mage grit his teeth to shut his screams of pain. He glared down at the drakein and gave his arm a shake to make him release his bite and even smacked Vilzun right on his snout. “Damn it Vilzun! What ya be doin’?” The Keindred finally released his bite and staggered back. “Snap out of it! Everyone is up ahead now and you can’t leave them alone.” He spoke to him in the depth of his confusion and pain. “And that friend of their being taken by this thing too . . . she might be in danger.” His hollowed eyes widen. It wasn’t just her though, the others that are here too in this twisted madness here and could be in just the same danger as her. Others have walked by while he was withdrawn in his own world and he has to hurry up to catch with them wherever they are in here and to get out of here. They shouldn’t be here and soon he need to get Esmeralda far from here too. Later, he needed to thank Vilzun for it.
He was being cautious with his step for he didn’t want to step on anything when Eku finally saw Tilawen, another new arrival of a hybrid of an Oblivionite and a Ysali dovaa, and Junjie . . . who has suddenly ran off ahead. A glare was seen from the mage as he looked down to see Abellio speaking up to Tilawen for bringing him back before running off. “Like hell I be leavin’ him alone here . . .” The Oblivionite muttered as he squeezed through them and went after Abellio to be with Junjie just to drag him and everyone out. They need to leave for the longer he's here the more he's feeling he might be loosing his mind.

Toki growled to himself as he heard Ara's voice and description. What sort of sick person did this?! Before he could speak, he heard several people leave the cavern, apparently following trails of two creatures. Sniffing and searching with his magic sense, he felt two strong foes, one much more dangerous that the other. Near that strong one he could sense many strong warriors, but near the weaker one, not as many. Perhaps Araceli could go there to test herself should she wish to fight...
Turning his head he touched his snout to her shoulder, "There are two enemies in here. From what I can sense, one is stronger but there are more people about it, while the weaker one has but a few to fight it. Should you wish to go there and test yourself, I think you will be able to fight it and win. I," He raised his head and growled, "I will be here and destroying as much as possible of these.. notes, that your leaders desire. I will not allow anything from this filthy place to get out so that your people can create monsters to hurt one another."

Ara stared off into the tunnels. Several Magescians were splitting up and heading off into them. Was the enemy down one of them? She jumped when Toki touched her shoulder. She stared back at him, still a bit in shock at what she had seen in the room. When he mentioned her going off by herself she shook her head then remembered that he would not have seen the gesture.
She took a deep breath and let it out slowly, trying to muster up the courage to climb down from his back. He was right. She needed to go. His words and confidence in her, whether faked or not, gave her a bit of a push. She carefully climbed down from Toki's back and stepped away from the Drakein. "Thank you Toki." She said as she ran a hand lightly over his scaled side. Ara leaned in quickly, giving the old Drakein a hug before turning and running down the tunnel he had indicated. With any luck they would meet back up some day. Word Count: 174

Show's over folks
Alpha had eventually been hauled off by a collection of guards. They hadn't taken the greatest care in handling his unconscious body but they hadn't gone out of their way to try and further injure him either. The three leaders wanted the young man alive, he was their most likely source of valuable information about this place. Especially with some of the drakein who'd come along having set fire to so many research notes and his accomplice having disappeared down one of many long twisting tunnels. The deceased scientist's bodies were being hauled away to the surface for burial or cremation. While neither Draco, Aevah or Marcus approved of what the hybrids had done under Eowyn's surface, they had all agreed that they would not let those already punished with death have their bodies accidentally trampled upon or purposefully disfigured by those who were of a less generous mindset. Slowly but surely a sense of order was being established and as more and more members of the leader's personal guards and councils made their way deep into the facility the more the common man was being encouraged to leave. Their duty was done, they had done Magesc a great service today but from here on out things needed to be handled with care. It was clear to everyone present that this was not entirely over. There would certainly be fallout from what had been discovered today. Right now though those who had dared to venture into the heart of the labs were free to return to the surface to try and cope as best they could.
