If Irene thought Columba wasn't losing her mind to fear, Columba certainly wasn't going to break the illusion. She called her magical attack out again and tore open another envelope to deeply inhale it's contents, trying to stay calm and positive.
The result was her usual smarmy grin and relaxed demeanor, even as her fingers exhibited a tell tale tremor.
"You worry too much," She declared. It was meant to be nothing more than a superficial attempt at rebelling against the lesson trying to be taught. She was, in fact, doing her best not to look around, and not acknowledge the carnage around them.
These were not faceless vessels of cannon fodder. They probably had husbands, wives, kids, brothers, sisters. Someone was going to miss them. Someone was going to wait up all night for someone who wasn't coming home ever again. Feelings and self awareness were complicated and the chibi senshi certainly didn't have the tools to adequately express or deal with them, but no matter how hard she tried to push them out of her mind with magic happy dust, they were there.
And it wasn't sympathy for the dead, either. Columba identified with the ones left waiting, even if she hadn't quite untangled this conclusion in her thoughts.
"Nah, you go ahead, I'm not hungry," She chirped, keeping a bounce in her step as she parted ways with her companion, intent of finding a place to power down and leave the scene of the very many crimes.

"Oh... boy..." Buddingtonite knew that he was in trouble, and it wasn't just Mica's warning that informed him of this. That was more or less the official notification of how much trouble he was in, but Hafwen certainly drove the point home. He had not meant to say her name aloud, and his heroic act was certainly incriminating, not just to Mica but to the one he saved. No doubt the Captain was off to report him this instant, but the good news was that Hafwen, one of his favored customers and friends, was at least alive from the ordeal.
The moment the last police officer fell to Titan's blow, Buddingtonite was ready to teleport out of there and hopefully leave the teen before she wised up on him. He didn't need his identity revealed to her- it would have been troublesome for himself and her, and he didn't want to face the consequences of that outcome, much less think about it!
But she had clung to his coat, and her question struck a nerve. Normally, he'd play the scene in his head and he'd find the best words to use, but he panicked. He simply panicked. He forgot the injury to his arm and tried to push her away, only to give a pained hiss. He offered her no answer, unless one considered a jab to her diaphragm to render her breathless, and with any luck, unconscious, an answer. He spat, letting her fall and backing away before teleporting away. "If you know what's best for you, you'll keep this to yourself!" --- Tsui wasn't too thrilled to see the police officers fall, but at least the bear youma was defeated. Through hard work, the youma crumbled into dust, and the sound of ambulance sirens was a pleasant, yet painful to hear. Negaverse officers were leaving, one by one, which meant that the fight was over. But the mess... it remained for the Tiger senshi to look at, and despite their small victory over the youma bear, the sight of the damage, the injured... the dead. It was too much, and Tsui didn't care who heard her. Normally she would have tried to remain positive, like Anandi would have wanted. She wanted to feel strong, but how could she when they were surrounded by this? She gave a frustrated cry and kicked at some of the debris, the sound of her phone going off doing little to phase her. "Again... we failed to protect others again!"But this time, she wouldn't cry. She wanted to, but she refused to waste time crying. What could would her tears do? Finally, the sound of her phone going off pulled the Tiger senshi back to reality, and she had made sure to find some desolate place to power down, before sending her text to Arian. She was fine, and she would join him soon... for now, she had to call Maddy and let he know she was safe. 'But the Negaverse won't be for long... they will pay for this eventually...' Gwen thought as she pushed the text through, brushing off the EMT's assistance and motioning him to help others. 'This can't keep happening... we have to do something...'((At least, Buddy's and Tsui's close))

Leucite wasn't abut to stick around, so as the last cop took a dive, he slipped back into the shadows and made his way out of the Carnival as quickly as humanly possible.
He had no desire to see if the senshi beat the Youma, he only hoped it would eat at least one before it was dispatched.
But regardless...
With a shake of his head, he made his way into the night, thankful for its protection.
(( and Leucite OUT ))

Nyx's question was responded to with a jab of his thumb in Pasiphae's direction, although now that he got a good look at her... "Well, the outfit was closer maybe a year ago... Now she looks like a Valkyrie on 'roids," he frowned, thinking that wasn't as fun of a nickname as 'Wonder Woman'. He hoisted Varuna against him as Nyx attacked the youma, glad that with just another hit it was dusted. That was one less thing to worry about. There was already so much to clean up, he doubted the city would ever truly heal after everything it's gone through.
"Nice aim, Shadow Cat," he said to Nyx, offering her a shrug once he had her full attention. He'd seen her attack, and while he wasn't entirely sure what it had been, it was impressive for her level.
He would have liked to grin in response to Pasiphae's concern, wanting to brush it off, but with little to distract him from everything that had happened, well... he couldn't quite get the corners of his mouth to stay elevated.
"Just a scratch," he indicated to his shoulder, but it had been from the battle before, and the blood was now dried over and there wasn't much else to do about it. "I think Rapunzel here might be a little worse for wear... The hospital is going to be packed tonight..." Varuna watched in a daze as she was held up and the youma was dusted, but at the mention of a hospital, she jerked away from the knight so she could grab hold of the senshi who had helped her up in the first place. She wasn't as horrible as she could be seeing as she'd obviously helped her out, but the movement was agonizing and she whimpered in pain, clinging tighter to the other senshi in order to keep herself upright.
She did not want to go to the hospital... Quicksilver the Archangel

Buddingtonite was hurt. That much Hafwen could tell from the pained hiss he gave when he tried to push her away with his arm. She would have cleanly forgotten that she wasn't Dallol right now, given away the fact that she too was in the know of who and what he was by calling out to him and then go on to give him a piece of her mind by yelling at him for being so stupid as to get himself injured.
But that all did not come to pass for the rather vicious jab to her ribcage made her release the grip she had on the Negaverse Captain's coat, her arms flailing in the air as her stumbling backward triggered another vertiginous episode and sent her world spiraling into disarray. Taking an unsteady step towards Buddingtonite, she stretched her hand out to his retreating form, still fighting with the headache and the dizziness while she tried desperately to reach him, only to feel her legs give way and send her sprawling onto the ground with a thud and that was about all that her poor head could take as oblivion staked its claim on her senses and then she knew no more.
~~~~~~~~ Based on his own observations alone, it rapidly became apparent to Amethyst that his concern over how things might turn out when the combined force comprising of his fellow officers and the youmas from the Rift was pitted against those of the Order and the local police force had been for naught as evident by how quickly they managed to send even the SWAT teams that were called into the fray a packing prior to securing their own retreat back to the Rift presumably for a follow up debrief and celebration of how successful the operation had gone.
He was about to approach someone for the purpose of hitching a ride down to his intended destination when he witnessed what happened between Buddingtonite and Hafwen. Crossing over to the now unconscious blue-haired civilian whom Buddingtonite had been more than eager to be rid of the company of for reasons unknown to him, he crouched down to press his fingers to the side of her neck, taking in the fact that she was still very much alive while a cursory sweep of his gaze over her prone form followed shortly by the probing of his fingers on the boggy swelling that belied the blood-stained portion of her hair led him to draw the conclusion that she had likely lost consciousness as a result of her head injury.
Not that he could do anything about it in his current form other than hope for her sake that the paramedics would be here soon and get her to the hospital. In the meantime, he too had to tend to the injuries of his fellow Negaverse agents as best as he could plus he would have to see if he could get a chance to speak to a certain redhead Captain about his seemingly off behaviour at some point. If he could catch him in private that is.
xChibiGingi We are going to have to plot for subsequent Hafwen/Richard and Amethyst/Buddy meetings yis? =D
