"Sorry. Sorry - " September relinquished his death grip on the other ever so slightly, looking guilty at the fact that he'd probably left bruises in the others skin. "I should never have taken this job. Dragon handling should have been my first tip to stay away." He exhaled slowly, pressing one hand to his head. He couldn't do this. He was a panic-prone Brit and animals calmed him down, but not these animals, and not when his ******** boyfriend was nowhere to be found.
"Yeah, too bad. When you're drunk its easy to steal your clothing too." He grinned at the other, all teeth like a nervous dog. "In case we don't make it out of here alive, I'm probably responsible for half of your missing inventory, including and not entirely restricted to clothes, shampoo, furniture, and other such things."
The strange familiarity of joking calmed him down just slightly, but every time he remembered what was happening and everything that was outside of his control, the panic pulsed in his gut just a little faster, just a little harder.
"Yeah - I guess. I can't - there's no phone reception, and everything's going to hell." He unwound his hand from Barry and stepped back, regaining some of his balance. "We shouldn't stay in one place for long though - do you - " He exhaled a string of particularly angry curses. "Can we stick together? I'm not entirely sure I want to go out into the apocalypse alone." He ran an aggravated hand through his hair.
"And look," He smiled crookedly at the other, a familiar look of shadowed mischievous flashing briefly across his face. "If we get out of this alive, and get away from this ******** island, I'll buy you out a whole damned bar. We can name it something dumb and I can steal your bar stools."

Chaos ensued.
She wasn't sure what was going on, but one moment she was writing things down and eating food, and the next moment she'd looked up and there were people getting murdured.
In her line of work, she was used to that - just not in front of her.
Finding the person who'd led them around earlier, she followed with ease.

Quote:
Name: Penelope Jones Profession: Writer/Detective Description: A short spunky thing with red hair, and a 'babyish' look about her. Looks young. Always wears a red checkered hat and refuses to take it off, due to it being a gift.
"You know, those are the exact thoughts I had. Except I've been having them for about, oh, the past 6 months. Though it's a bugger we never trained them. Could have used them to fly right the hell out of this place." Though he was still tempted to go and find them, but he was pretty sure that they'd eat him on sight.
It was funny, but just having someone familiar around to converse about the end of world, strangely made him feel a little better. It gave him something else to focus on. Which was the fact that he now knew why so much of his belongings had gone missing. His small grin fell into a annoyed glare at his comrade. "Hey! Do you know how long I've been looking for half my stuff? strewth, now I know why I kept losing my hat." He then pattered his head just to make sure it was sitll there. "And...why would you need to take my shampoo...it was a real good bottle of shampoo too. Made me smell like pineapple."
His next question though made his eyes widen in disbelief. "Sept, are you crazy?" He exclaimed. "Theres no way in hell I'm ditching you now. Hell, I should be asking you to stick by me." He then laughed. and laughed. And laughed some more. Because the idea of owning a bar with Sept just seemed so dam hilarious to him that he couldn't help but lose it. "That sounds like the best bloody idea ever. Don't know what well call it though. Maybe 'September thieves'' or somethin."

Cora! That was Cora, snapping his head towards the sound of her voice a flood of relief washed over him. It was only moments after the man stepped forward from Tooly and captured Cora in a tight hug. "Sorry I was worried." He whispered for only her ears, stealing a simple kiss to the side of her head as he released the woman. With a step back he rubbed his hands over one another, thumb to palm thumb to palm and repeated the nervous motion over and over.
"I have no idea...I woke up to this chaos. " He shook his head, finally breaking the repetitive motion of his hands to run his right one though chocolate-colored curls.
When he heard someone speaking about going underground his features blanked, it took him a moment to figure out what they might be talking about. The manholes weren't easy to ignore and so he had noticed them previously, however to go down into them had never once passed his mind. Even if things were turned belly up going into the sewers could do no good. Not only were you trapped in a narrow path but this was an island. Those sewers went to nowhere but the Ocean and if you were lucky you could maybe pop up somewhere useful in between.
Dismissing the idea he was about to tell Cora and whoever wanted to join them that they should move and try to find others that might know more about what was happening. The boats. Should they try the docks, or should they try something else..there had to be more than one way off the island.
"Tonio, Cora, I'm glad you guys are safe."
At the call of his name his head turned to watch as Les jogged over. It was yet another sight for sore eyes but here was Mel? Tilting his head he peered around Les for a moment then gave him a look before speaking, "it's good to see you are well Les. " Should he ask? What if something happened to her, for the moment he bit his tongue or at least on that subject. Seeing others move out he figured doing the same would be the most reasonable thing to do. "We should move..." Antonio wasn't speaking to anyone in particular, well aside from Cora.

Brief Character Profile: Stubborn. Anyone that's met Antonio knows he's a little uneasy around a large number of people, one that prefers to do his job with as minimal talking as necessary after all he's there to do a job not make a friend. While he's a bit of a hard-a** when works involved he is able to cut loose and lay back when the situation for it arrives. He's an observer by nature which can have him coming off a little creepy at times.. well that and his own twisted sense of humor. All in all he's a generally silent sweet man until his temper gets the better of him or his 'inspiration' strikes.

He wasn't sure what was going on.
Panic had risen in Tobias's throat the moment he had made his way into work that particular morning, and it had now devolved into a sort of numb horror that made him nauseated and angry.
He couldn't find September and he hated himself for not staying with him.
Shoving his way through the throngs of people, Tobias clenched his teeth, willing himself not to vomit, or worse, allow himself to believe that something had happened to the one thing in his life that he had started to let himself be close to. It didn't make sense in his head, because Tobias Bennett was not a man who even let himself open his heart to another, but somehow, in some way, September had managed to fit himself into a hole in Tobias's heart that he had not known existed before.
He hated himself for leaving him alone.
"September!" Tobias shouted, his heart clambering in his chest, his throat feeling dry, too dry. "SEPTEMBER!"
And then he saw him, just in front, and it was both a relief and a horror. Tobias ran forward and grabbed September's upper arm, hauling him around and crushing him against his chest.
"Oh, thank Heavens. Dammit, September."

Cora wraps her arms around Tonio the moment he pulls her into a hug. It was the kiss tot he side of her head that made her blink as he pulls back. She watched him for a moment before she realized what was happening. Slipping her hand between his, she tries to get him to look at her "Everything will be okay...." she knew it was a lie, but she had to get him to calm down. If he didn't she knew she was gonna start to panic.
Except she nearly came out of her skin as she felt a hand touch her shoulder. Moving towards Tonio, she hides her face until she heard the voice. Her eyes turning instantly on Les to snap at him, until she saw how worried he honestly looked. Chewing on her lip, she glance around before she looks at him "Mel?" her heart stopped for a moment before she shakes her head.
Oh by the heavens, please let her me okay.
Looking back towards Tonio as he spoke, she nods "Yea, I don't think we will be safe here." she looks towards the dead body, trying not to visibly be sick over it. Looking towards Les, she was hoping he and Tooly might be willing to stick with them "Maybe Mel is still asleep? We can try finding her?" she looks between the others, hoping someone knew what to do at the moment.
"Past six months? I've been having them since I got here." He rolled his eyes at the other, shoving his hands nervously into his pockets. He repeated the action nervously nearly three times before giving it up and crossing his arms instead. "Please, Barry." he drawled. "Flying around on tame dragons only happens in novels."
He shuddered again, if only because mindless banter could only keep him sated for so long. He was panic-prone, and it had been like that since he was a child. And all he wanted was to know that Tobias was safe. That he wasn't out there somewhere in five pieces. Adrenaline rushed through his veins like wildfire, threatening the fragile calm he'd worked himself into with the help of Barry's jokes about bars and beer and stolen shampoo.
His breath hitched tightly in his throat when he heard his name, and he nearly felt nausea and panic swallow him whole at the thought of it just being another illusion. That he was making things up now - that that wasn't him -
But it was.
"Tobias - " His throat felt raw, the name scratching desperately in his throat as the man rushed forward and hauled him against his own body. "Tobias." And it was a plea, like begging for him to be real, to be there, to stay. His fingers curled painfully into the others shoulders, clutching like a lifeline.
"You're alright," He exhaled, his tone curling with desperate relief. "God, I - " He leaned back just enough that he could see the other, almost hesitantly, as though if he let go, the man would disappear. "Please don't leave." His breath hitched. "I can't lose you." And it had only been a few months that they'd been together, and he was only beginning to scratch the surface of who Tobias was. But the man had fit himself into the empty spaces in September's heart and given himself a purpose, and he wasn't ready to let him go, to lose him. Not here, not now.

The trip had been fun and all, but Adriana had been hoping to... well... maybe see more. Who needed food, she wanted to see the other creatures! There was still so much to see! She puffed her cheeks out with Thomas in tow, determined to not let him out of her sight because SHE WANTED TO SEE MORE.
Of course, her wish was granted that morning, when a dead body was discovered. A bloody, dead body. Forcing herself to breath, she turned her head away, nails digging into Thomas' arm as she took deep breaths, shaking.
"T-Thomas... w-what's happening? W-why..." Beginning to tremble, she clung tighter to Thomas, tears brimming in her eyes. "W-we can't stay here... we have to go Thomas!" Tugging on his sleeve, she began pulling him towards where the rest of the others were going.

"What the bloody hell is going on here."
It wasn't so much a question as it was a swear that punctuated Kisra's entrance. It was a rhetorical question at that--Whorl's mangled body, the run amok creatures, and panicked guests and staff spoke for themselves at any rate. The once pristine look of Kiera Ward was now more ruffled, though somehow despite an apocalyptic morning, her hair was still in a neat and tidy bun as before.
"Never mind," she muttered to herself, surveying who was there. She could go out alone just fine--dealing with these creatures, sedated or otherwise, had become routine. But if there were stragglers left she'd feel obligated to tend to them.

One of Tobias's hands gripped the back of September's hair, holding tight to the messy strands as though letting go would mean that somehow September would no longer exist. He held on tightly to the other and closed his eyes shut briefly, inhaling sharply.
"You're okay," said Tobias, and leaned back, cupping September's face in one hand, his thumb brushing across his cheek. "You're okay. I'm okay. ********, we're just - "
He pulled him against his chest again, burying his face into the fluffy hair, inhaling his scent. His lips found September's temple, and he pressed a kiss to the side of his head, then pulled away, holding onto his arms.
From the endless shouts around them, Barry heard Sept's name called, then shouted, as another man came and both individuals hugged each other as if their very lives depended on it. It was heartwarming, and Barry was glad that Tobias had been found and he wouldn't have to worry about his friend being heartbroken. Though it had come as a shock to him that Sept did swing that way. He was pretty sure that was the case since the two were hugging like long lost lovers. Not that he had any problems with it mind you. He didn't care who went with who. He was just a little shocked that he was finding out now.
"U-um." Barry said, coughing into his hand to try and get their attention. "G-great to see you here Tobias. Glad your safe. Um, Barry Warren. G-ood on ya for being here. Now that we're all here, lets get the hell out of this place before we have a reunion with our animals. Got a group heading off to the sewers, or we could try somewhere else. maybe the docks, or, um....""
Really, he just wanted to go somewhere that wasn't here. He had been doing a brilliant job of ignoring the bloodied corpses around him so far, but he really wanted an out.

Thomas was at just as much of a loss as Adriana was. He was also feeling quite sick. Blood was not something he especially liked, apparently. He didn't think he'd ever seen quite that much of it. Bloody bodies were not exactly what he'd come hoping to see. Not even close.
He tried to give dear Adriana a reassuring pat on her head, but he really didn't know if it helped. She was clinging even tighter. "I don't know. I really don't know." He gave her a protective hug, and let her cling.
"Agreed," he said, letting her lead him out of that place. The sooner they left, the sooner he might not feel like throwing up.

September laughed, and the sound felt foreign and helplessly relieved. They were still in danger - god, they were on an island full of dangerous monsters. But Tobias was here, and that was all he could ask for at this moment.
"We really need to out of here," He whispered, and it was obvious he wasn't just talking about the center. He was talking about the island. The ticking time bomb. He raked his hand up into Tobias's hair gently. "I think this place crossed a line with the c-corpses and all. And I think I like you a bit too much for us to become d-dragon bait."
He buried his face into the others collarbone for a long moment. They were about to throw themselves back into the mayhem again, and he was going to take as much as he could in their short amount of time in the calm before the storm.
The question threw him for a moment, and he shuddered, the panic lapsing into his mind again before he shook it away, impossible curls twisting even further out of control. "I - don't know. Everything shut down. Our cellphones won't work. I think - " He closed his eyes, willing his voice not to shake. "I think all of the creatures are loose too."
He leaned forward, kissing the corner of the others mouth. "Everything's gone to hell."
He laughed quietly at Barry's words. "Sorry - yeah. Where should we go? I don't exactly trust the sewers. What the hell do you think is down there with everything up here already?" September shook, trying to ignore the corpses decorating the entire center around them.
He wasn't exactly sure he could do it for much longer.

Wayra stared at the scene in horror. She'd slept soundly the night before, never having expected something like this. A dead body, blood everywhere, people screaming.
Taking a deep breath, she surveyed the situation. From what others were saying, the power had gone out and the creatures had gone on the attack. Taking more deep breaths when she still felt panic rising, she stared at the camera she'd meant to give Steve that morning. Steve. Where was he? Looking around frantically, she barely caught a glimpse of him dashing out the door after one of the staff members.
"Wait!", she cried, dashing out after them, clutching the camera absently to her chest.

There's a sudden, loud clatter in the kitchens. Before anybody has time to react, the doors slam open and a giant spider the size of truck bears down on the guests still in the dining area. It sprays them all with a thick, wet webbing that sticks and burns at their skin.
Giant spider HP: 40 Auto-attack: 5

Everybody has been hit for 5 hp! Roll to escape or try to defeat it! Only successful escape rolls do not result in auto-attack!
