Oh thank the Goddess! Mei had done her part without a hitch, Mao had almost said something positive, and they were only four points behind the leader! Oh goodness, this was maybe the biggest adrenaline rush she had ever had. It was making her a breathless, actually... Before Mao could yell at her for hyperventilating, she ran off to get the ingredients for the main course. What to make next... Stir fry was pretty easy, and you could put anything in it, even pumpkin! Grabbing pumpkin and some shrimp, along with a bunch of seasoning, she hurried back to the station and got started on her pumpkin stir fry. Oh, what if she kept doing well, and he praised her? ...She'd probably die if that happened. That thought proved to be rather distracting, and she accidentally put in a little bit too much brown sugar. Still, she hoped he wouldn't notice -- though he probably would, Mao noticed everything -- and pushed the pan towards her boss. "Please," she said breathlessly.

What was that? Ferdinando hadn't quite got what that man had said right now. Peasant talk could be a little hard to understands sometimes, but he was pretty sure that he had said that they had fifty points! Which was, if he had heard right, twenty points ahead of the next person! Oh dear. And here they were, trying to not be too perfect in order to make the peasants more secure.... Well, what was done was done. There was nothing he could do about it! And truthfully, he was still a little proud of the results. He knew cooking would be easy, but he was practically a master already! "Dear Sister!" He said as he grabbed January's hands into his owns. "Let's make something beautiful! Something delicious! Let's make.... Le Pumpkin!" Oh, could do they do it? Could they create the legendary Sonata Secret that was Le Pumpkin? A meal so hard to cook that almost no one had ever succeeded it! A meal so rare that even Ferdinando didn't know about it until a few seconds ago when his Sonata's genetic memory kicked in. And so, he set forth into preparing the most perfect Le Pumpkin ever prepared.

Oh! they had done good! They had done very good! Not that Freja ever doubted her potion making skills, but it was still nice to be doing well in a competition! Which totally hadn't have anything to do with her husband being one of the judges. Still, she had every right to be happy, which was why she was jumping where she stood, clapping her hands together. She looked at Marie, with the widest, most sincere smile she could give. "Oh! What next!? What next?! Do you have an idea? Hm hm hmmm.." Oh, he had to decide what to do. It was hard! The first time was easy, she had to make an anti-poison to save the judges from Mao's devil mixture, but what about now? Oh! She had an idea! Well, rather. She had an idea that would help her get an idea. She moved toward Marie and held both side of the woman's head firmly, with her eyes closed. "Oh Goddess, you who can hear and see everything. You who judges everything and creates miracles. Sends us a sign, in the name of Xochiquetzal..." And just at the moment, she saw a bird flying in the sky. A bird... bird laid eggs... And eggs could be used to make omelets! YES! She would make a pumpkin omelet! "Thank you, Goddess!" She let go of her partner and starting doing that omlette right away, while singing a very happy (if a bit morbid if you paid attention to the lyrics... ) song. It was only too bad that she had no idea how to make an omelet...

Hmm.... She was still alive. Not only alive, but she seemed to be in perfect condition too. After eating that non-organic honey, she should have bee rolling on the ground in pain, wishing for a fast and merciful death. A death he would be more than happy to provide, in all generosity, of course. But no, it had failed. She had probably trained herself for weeks by eating low par food in order to survive this contest, eating peasants food. He should have thought about it. That was a flaw in his plan... he had to think of another one. He sat down on a random servant that looked comfortable, put his thinking hat on, and started to ponder on the next best way to ruin Lilia's life, leave his untouched, uncooked pumpkin on the table.

Shinju really wasn't sure what was happening, but could anyone really blame her? She was still just an opossum. Heck, she wasn't even sure she was actually a she. She was starting to develop a weird sort of stockholm syndrom. who would have thought that possums could develop those? Eh. It wasn't something that would have been expected of her... not would decorating a big round pumpkin be. And that is why the only thing she did was scratch a bit a it before getting bored and falling asleep next to it.

January may have blacked out a little bit when Ferdinando grabbed her hands, so she didn't catch all of what he had said, but she did hear the most important -- "Le Pumpkin?!" she gasped, feigning shock and awe until her own Sonata genetic memory kicked in; it had always been a little slow. "Are... are you sure it's safe, Brother?" It was the Sonata family secret weapon! No one had unleashed its powers in generations! ...Or, at least, she assumed, the memory thing was still loading.
Whatever Le Pumpkin was, Ferdinando did it magnificently. Ahh, January could feel herself swoon! Soon it was her turn to decorate, and it was like she had been struck by the Sonata gods of inspiration! She decorated it to the best of her ability, finishing it off by draping a piece of cloth she had torn from Ferdinando's sleeve before he went off to get a new face, upon the top of the dish. There! Perfect!

"We're doing good! Look Morgan! We're doing good! Very good! The date is going well, right? Right? Yes! Very good! Oh, this is fun! Let's keep on going! What now? Hm. Do you have a idea? What was that? Did you say something ? Uh? Oh. Yes! right!" Without even letting Morgan any to reply to any of his questions, Wilhelm started to shove random stuff he was picking up into a frying pan. If he had learned something living alone and cooking for himself, it was to trust his instinct. and to make sure nothing was toxic! And even then, a little bleach in a soup hadn't hurt him. ot that there was any bleach in his meal today. Nope, just a lot of pureed pumpkin and shrimps. Some fish sauce because it was there. Oh, some onions. And those green leaf things, whatever they were. And A red peper because it looked cute and cute had to taste good, right? He was probably making some thai-ish pumpkin soup, but he had no idea what it was, really. If someone was to ask, he would call it Curied Pumpkin and Prawn Soup" ... even though these weren't prawns. But "prawn" just sounded better than "shrimp". Either way, it smelled good and seemed eadible enough. He had no idea how to make it look presentable, which was why he had his awesome team mate date boy with him!

мαтнєωναℓєитιиє уσυиg Brian and Mathew made it to the next round!! WHAT? ' All those days dad took extra long cooking lunch or dinner finally pay off- hehe' the boy thought before rolling up his sleeves. “ Dude, we're beating people!” he exclaimed, although admittedly he was at a loss when it came to the next dish. He'd expected the last one to go horribly south. Guess people liked honey? Sooo... more... honey? Sweet Honey Pumpkin... Soup? Sounded ok. The time it took to boil and mash the pumpkin into pulp was just about as long as it took to boil down the thick vat of honey and sugar, making it a sift hot liquid. Mathew beat them around in a bowl for a while and put them over fire again... it's soup, right? Running to the prep table he grabbed as many veggies as he could, and tossed them in; leeks, carrots, onions, basil? Looking at his teammate, he shrugged but continued with a devious grin “ I probably wouldn't eat this... but they will.”
