As his ears stopped ringing, Rawber popped out from behind his rock and sheepishly approached Celes. He knew if he didn't come out immediately, she'd likely blow up the rock and smack him, or hit him with the rock. With her how angry she currently was, she would likely kill him
"Heeeeyyyy Gurrrlll! It's good to see you again! I see you went ahead and ignored my recommendation on going with dying your hair a light brunette, I like the golden blonde. The gold is bold"
『"Please, just give me a reason to punch your face in!"』
Celes rose an eyebrow as Rawber spoke. As usual, he tried to break the tension with his personality. But it was his statement about her hair that caught him off guard. "What? I didn't die my..." She reached up and grabbed one of her bangs, moving it to where she could see it plainly. "...why is my hair gold?"
It was at this point that Veera would approach, her royal demeanor showing through her movements. She showed a faint respect for Celes, but it was purely because of the power the Princess had not yet attained herself. The fact a child had done so was amusing to a degree. What was more important, was that the legends were true. "Legends tell of a golden haired warrior with great destructive ability. They were said to have appeared 1000 years ago, but disappeared after. Facts are scarce on the matter, however, it seems the legend was warranted. And from watching you, I know how to attain this power. It seems I am in need of a bit of training, however, as your Ki Control allowed you to unleash the powers within." Veera would raise her hand in front of her and then clench it into a fist. "I am on the cusp of this power. Help me train to reach it." Vera lowered her fist and looked Celes in the eyes. "Help me become a Super Saiyan."
"Heh. Maybe you should stay a blonde, that way maybe you won't forget."
Some lady soon approached, walking with fierce confidence. He listened as she spoke of this "Super Saiyan". It reminded him of a story his grandpa told him of a powerful saiyan who lived a long time ago. He then nodded and looked to Celes. "Well if you're gonna do some training, count me in too." he looked back to the lady "Er, that's if you don't mind a third wheel."
『"Please, just give me a reason to punch your face in!"』
Celes smirked at what Veera had called her. "Super Saiyan, eh? I like the sound of that." She rose her hand and closes it into a fist in front of her face. She was still raring to go, but she had to go find the dragonballs, and rather quickly from the way King Kai had made it sound. "Look, I'm all for training, but we have more to worry about at the moment. We need to go find the dragonballs and wish Ryuzu back. We're gonna need him, apparently..." She thought for a moment. Did they really? She was so much stronger now than she was even just this morning. She shook her head though. Her brother would probably disapprove of her going against a god.
"After we revive him, and fend off these bandits, then we can train. I feel like there's more to this Super Saiyan." She turned away from Rawber and Veera, looking towards the horizon. "Does anyone have an idea of where to start?" Celes didn't wait for an answer. She began to reach out with her mind. She needed to find these powers.
Veera would click on her Scouter to try to locate Igneel's signature, but Celes was too bright of a beacon for it to catch onto anything else. The device was utterly useless. It also couldn't read Celes' battle power. This was both frustrating and promising. She would need to rely on Ki Sense. It would take a moment to hone in.
Veera removed her scouter to better focus. She closed her eyes and tried to feel out. Again, Celes was a shining beacon of activity, but there were traces. She needed to latch onto those.
Wait, need who for what now? Oh apparently there are bandits involved. Bandits are bad. Okay, so that's a goal to focus on. With a goal now in his mind Rawber felt somewhat at ease. Although he did wonder if the bandits would be dangerous. Probably. They were bandits after all. That's not exactly a profession you go into to be nice and safe, right?
When that train of thought finished he noticed the other two had closed their eyes and appeared to be focusing on something. Were they thinking? No, that wouldn't necessarily require them to just stand there quietly together. Were they listening for something? Maybe, but they looked somehow focused. Eh, I guess I'll try whatever this is too.
He closed his eyes and tried, well, anything. He tried to listen, to smell, to feel. Then he tried nothing. He just stood there kinda open to anything at that point. He wondered how they could seem like they were focused and yet doing nothing at the same time. Was it that thing his dad had mentioned once? Feeling something that wasn't there, but also was? His dad's training was a bit weird sometimes, but he can't deny the results were real. He always seemed to know when Rawber had tried to sneak home.
『"Please, just give me a reason to punch your face in!"』
It was like a pulse. A radar of some sort. It was just a matter of finding the correct frequency to get a reading. It was a natural version of the scouter, although not as pinpoint.
Celes understood the basics of the scouter, but she definitely preferred not having to rely on something that could be broken or stolen. Her natural skill was more her speed. She was beginning to feel something in the distance. It was erratic, but beginning to focus.
Veera was having much the same luck as Celes, although neither of them would know it. She was familiar with the concept of Ki Sense, so she already knew it was possible. However, the Scouter had led her to never having to need to learn it.
With their targets being so far spread out, it would be good to be able to sense them on the fly, instead of waiting for the Scouter to pinpoint. It wasn't as accurate as the Scouter, but it was definitely within ballpark, if you were strong enough to measure a power more accurately. The powers she was beginning to feel were larger, and one was growing wild.
So how do you feel something that's there, but isn't? What does that mean? What would that feel like? His dad always seemed to know where he was. How? When he asked what it was like he simply stated: "It would be like trying to describe sight to the blind". He thought on that statement. So it was like a sensation you didn't normally have, but you could somehow obtain. So he tried to feel for anything that he hadn't before, some new sensation.
Some time later he was feeling something. At first he wondered if he was just imagining things, but he was certain it was real. It felt like what he felt when he somehow found Celes. It felt close, so he slowly opened his eyes and looked around. The sensation stopped, but he was certain he felt something. He closed his eyes and tried again. He would get the hang of this.
『"Please, just give me a reason to punch your face in!"』
It was almost as if the various ripples of power were emanating from everyone on the planet. Celes could see those near her well enough, but the stronger ones further away were still a haze, albeit a haze that was diminishing. They were slowly coming into focus.
Soon, the Super Saiyan would be able to find Igneel and end him. Properly end him. Although, it might be a good idea to find allies first. These pirates were strong, and there were more of them. Their leader was undoubtedly stronger.
Veera was beginning to see everyone else as well. Both Rawber and Celes were mostly focused. The stronger powers further out, however, were still hard to determine. They were very erratic still.
The Princess focused on one power in the distance. It was growing, higher and higher. She could only hope it wasn't one of these bandits.
There it was again. It was like that feeling when you think someone is watching you, except kinda in reverse? It was neat. He could sense Celes, the other lady nearby, and himself. He could sense the gap between him and Celes. It made him a bit angry.
He pushed that thought to the side. For now he needed to focus and see what he could find with this newfound sense. It was amazing. He could feel so many living things. It was almost overwhelming. He needed to try blocking out the minuscule powers. Dad was right. It would have been like describing sight to the blind. Too bad he never mentioned being able to feel every other living thing around you.
『"Please, just give me a reason to punch your face in!"』
The energy signatures began to separate, the more powerful ones shining like bright beacons, while the weaker ones shined like fireflies in the night. Not necessary very illuminating, but they were there.
And that is what she needed, one light was still shining brightly, and growing brighter. That was what she needed. Take out that one if it was a bandit, or gain an ally with a lot of oomph. Celes took no time in taking off towards it.
Veera reacted the same. She could see the energies like they were blips in her sight. With her eyes being closed, that's all she could see. It was as if she was staring at the stars in the sky.
With Celes taking off, Veera knew to follow or get left in the dust. Celes wasn't flying as fast as she could, almost as if she was allowing Rawber and Veera to keep up.
As he separated what he imagined were the powers of animals from everything else he began to realize just how big the world really was. A lot of powers were out there. Many of these powers made Rawber feel a bit uneasy. Maybe it was because he felt a bit under-powered compared to them, but he wasn't going to give up that easily. His friend seemed like she might need help, and that's just what he intended to do.
He felt Celes and the other woman begin to head off, and so he flew after them. He realized he hadn't introduced himself to this other woman. Time to remedy that. "Hey, sorry I didn't introduce myself yet. Name's Rawber. Rawber Andcrem. Nice to meet you." he offered his hand to shake.
Ringo had aimed on the crowd looking for anyone suspicious when he found someone that didn't have an energy signature. However, before he could do anything, his systems started to detect something was wrong and in an instant, his body was pulled into the unknown. The robot was sent spiraling out of control in the multi colored zone, unable to tell what up was up and down was down. He wondered if this was the sight that the organics had when the consumed narcotics, the sight almost making his systems crash. Relief finally came when Ringo was shot out of the area, and back to what was believed to be the planet Earth. His jets ignited and with a slam that like a meteor, making a sizeable crater in the ground and making a sound that could be heard for miles. The robot then moved out of his landing sight and his head rotated around, looking at his surroundings. "Must determine location. Accessing data." He said as his optics captured images of the area around him and tried to run it by the data he had download to his ship. Ringo was annoyed to find that not only was there no match, but he couldn't connect to the ship at all. "No data found. Location unknown... This presents a problem."
Spike is sitting in the tournament's participant waiting room with his backpack in his lap, and staring at his phone screen when his senses are assaulted, and overwhelmed as a portal suddenly engulfs him . "What the hell is happening? Is this some kind of worm hole?" he thinks as he's passing through to portal. After an indeterminate amount of time inside the portal, Spike was spat out on the other side. The portal had tossed him out just as suddenly as it had engulfed him, and it took him a few seconds to realize him and his backpack are falling through the sky of a location he didn't recognize. "Oh crap. oh crap. OH CRAP!" he yells as he tries to slow himself and his backpack down before he hits the ground. He is only roughly a meter above the ground when he finally is able to catch his backpack with telekinesis, stop his downward momentum, and gain control of his flight.
Shortly after he starts looking around at the landscape to see if he can figure out where he is, Spike hears the loud explosion that sounded like a meteorite impact, and starts heading towards where it landed. Spike discovers the crater made by Ringo and sees him standing in the center scanning the surroundings and thinks "I've never seen that model of robot before. If only I knew how to get back home from wherever this is, I'd love to take it home and reverse engineer it to see how all it's parts work, but I don't have any clue as to where I am right now, so I don't really have all the tools I would need.""Well I guess I could just observe it and take notes for now." he says to himself as he telekinetically pulls out a notebook and pencil from his backpack, which he had put back on his back on his way to the crater.
Some of Ringo's systems were starting to come online as he continued to look around the surrounding area. It was unfortunate that he couldn't connect to the ship as it possible meant that it had been destroyed some how. The chain gun returned back inside the robot's arms and was replaced with the metal claws that were his hand once more. He then tapped his right arm with his one of his claws and popped up an odd device that looked like a radar. Ringo waited for a bit, and when it booted up, he saw quite a few powerful energy signatures, more then he had before. This didn't matter to him as he focused the scan on the energy signature of Siberia, at least the one he had copied when he was in the arena. After the input, the robot would find the one that matched his friend and moved his gaze up to the area the device said it was coming from. "It appears this will be a minor inconvenience. Energy signature: Located. Continuing mission: Rendezvous with Siberia." He said as the device returned into his arm and started to move into the direction of his friend, hoping that whatever happened to them hadn't harmed him. Meanwhile unbeknownst to him, Ringo was being watched and possibly followed by someone that his scanners couldn't detect, and it would be up to them if the followed.
