"There we go, much better, you just needed a little help. Now let us keep an eye on your uncle and make sure everything stays as calm as can be,"Serenity spoke calmly to him.
"Yes, a bonding is a very deep connection, you know your bonded and anyone they are bonded quite well. We sometimes do not even need words, we will know what they want before they do. I cannot imagine having to deal with a rejected bonding, that would be horrid. My life would not be the same without my connection to Dea and the rest of the Azrein bonded to her, including my mother. Hmm, I did not think about that, I could see how dangerous that could be in the South,"Jaromila admitted.

Delta huffed and snuggled closer to Serenity, but his muzzle turned to point towards his uncles and aunt.
Itzal shrugged. "Apparently that's only half of the story, but since he didn't seem comfortable about telling me even that part, I didn't push my luck." At the last comment, the red stallion slowly turned his head to face Jaromila completely. His eyebrow rose. "You're at war with the Six and you didn't think about the danger of going into their territory?"

Serenity smiled as she watched her grandson, then she turned her attention to the conversation that was being had.
"I would hate to think what else could possibly have happened for him to hate humans. A rejected bonding sounds bad enough to me, can't picture worse than that. I know we are at war with the Six, but you must remember, I just recently bonded to my chosen. I grew up in a neutral family, so it is easy to forget sometimes,"Jaromila spoke.

"That's why I determined Punk's reason for resentment as the most legitimate." Itzal sighed. "Neutral or not, one should be aware of potential danger. Not all southerners attack strictly Azrien aligned with the King." There were quite a few that just wanted to watch the world burn; even fights between southern herds weren't uncommon.

"I suppose it is a good reason, but still sad. I do not want anything to happen to humans, many of them are very kind. Destroying all humans is like throwing away the baby with the bath water, as Dea would say. And yes, I suppose it is a good thing to be careful, no matter who you are. Some may just want to kill, it doesn't matter who,"Jaromila admitted.

"Well, to each his own..." Itzal yawned, then slowly got to his feet. "I should head back now, before I do something we all regret." He turned and started walking away, still talking. "If you ever need anything, the Punk knows where to find me... if you want to bother going down there and asking him."

"Alright, please travel safely, we do not want you getting hurt. We will be sure to talk to Punk, if we ever need help from you, since I am sure my mate knows how to get in touch with him. I hope next time we meet it will be under better circumstances,"Jaromila told him.

Itzal paused only long enough to nod before continuing his walk. As strange of a reunion this was, he couldn't say he minded. Maybe someday...
(( End it here? ))
