Shouyin

PostPosted: Tue Mar 21, 2006 9:01 pm

A layer of stone went over the puncture wound, holding the flesh together and keeping any blood from leaking out. Grinning as his eyes regained focus, he took a good look at this disembodied knight riding atop an equally body-less warhorse. s**t just didn't get any better anymore, did it? Bunch of weirdness piled on top of stand-offs and tidal waves.

'Twas all kind of thrilling though.

Setting his feet firmly (left forward), Shouyin held both hands out in front of himself. There wasn't a lot of prep time, but he figured this wouldn't be too hard. As the lance came in at him, the half-golem would push it inwards with his left before wrapping his right arm firmly around the weapon, the point flying past him. The knight was big, but Shouyn had some abnormal strength on his side, so hopefully things would work out.

The plan was, although the knight was packing some momentum, it was all the horse's doing. The half-golem was aiming to catch the weapon, and stop its forward movement completely, either forcing it out of the knight's hands, or knocking him off the horse as it went galloping past.

Risky business, but things were more fun that way.

Both chalangers had evaded the charge, worth opponents indeed.

Shouyin had indeed grabbed hold of the weapon, and he could feel the fight the half-golem was putting up. And the golem would soon find quite a bit less resitance, it was almost like there was suddenly no momentum behind it. There was an important thing to remember in flying armour anatomny, each part was independant. The horse would gallop past Shouyin full speed, but the lance would stay perfectly still in his arms.

The guantlet didn't like being that far away from the body, so it abandoned its lance. Rising up, forming a fist, and zooming to catch up. The fact that Shouyin's face was in between the fist and the body turned innosent movement into a punch to the face.

Meanwhile, the horse was just finishing rearing after the knight turned it around. With that the second chage began, holding its sword out to the side. Not only did the sword out to the side look really badass, it also would allow for a powerful slash.

"Fools!" The True Knight yelled as it leaned in close to the horse. This time it would have to attack with swordplay, since Shou had inherited a biggass lance.

Allen picked himself up. And gripped his sword with both hands, tightly. And half closed his eyes, concentrating even as he watched the knight charging back.

Those were all the movements. It left Allen standing there, his katana held out in front of him in a basic stance. And yet, the blade of said katana began to glow, slowly growing brighter at more time passed.

FACE PUNCH BLOCKED WITH STONE LOLZ.

Quickly grabbing the lance at the handle, Shouyin turned to face the knight. Holding up the weapon in challenge, he watched the horse gain speed and charge towards him, the knight's sword glinting in the dim mansion lighting. Taking two quick hop steps back, he hefted the lance up in his right hand, in a manner similar to one of those spear toss Olympian fellows.

There wouldn't be a lot of distance between the two, but Shouyin would throw the lance at the horse, dead center, so it would run the ******** right through. Following the motion of his right shoulder, Shouyin would tuck into a roll, aiming to go inside, underneath and past the knight's sword strike.

The gauntleted fist would ram into Shouyin's face, only to be blocked by a layer of stone. Unfortunatly the stone was hastily typed erected, and the gauntlet was still really big. That has to at least dizzy the half golem, or throw off the lance he was now throwing. Sucess! The lance glaced off the shoulderpad of the lowerd knight continued on until it smashed one of the ornate windows.

There was no way it could hit Shou though, since it was both thrown off by the lance and Shou had ducked and rolled. The wide slash went right over the half golem's head.

"Blast!" It shouted, but continued forward. It quickly turned the failed horisontal slash into a diagnoal slash at Allen's right shoulder.

Dammit!

Allen didn't have much time to react. And he hadn't been given a chance to charge for as long as he might have liked either. As it was, his Soul Charge hadn't been going on for long, adding only multiplying the strength of his next swing by 1.5. Allen was going to use what he had, though.

And so he brought his katana up swiftly, slamming it hard into the knights sword as a direct block. The mere force of the knight sword hitting his would probably push him back, and jar his arms. But the knights weapon would be feeling even more force.

It could hold, or it could break. And if the knights sword broke, Allen's blade would continue in a natural arc, possibly hitting the knight himself. Or at least the gauntlet.

Shouyin got back to his feet, and just went charging back at the knight.
This time he'd try and flying body tackle it off the horse while it was busy with Allen.

THE BEST FORCE IS BRUTE FORCE.

Right arm and shoulder went in front, safety first.

"Garh!" Was the grunting sound the Knight let out as the unexpectidly strong katana blocked his blow. That sound developed into an "ooof" when the half Golem made a dent in his back.

Course, there was still that spare hand flying around, it had missed the chance to rejoin with the body. Shou would feel cold metal grabbing him by the scruff of the neck, only to be flung with a wrist snapping action moments later. The guantlet had just sent a half-golem projectile right at Allen.

With the proverbial monkey off his back the ghost horse took a few steps back. No more time for charges, this was close combat now. The knight had raised its sheild and readyed its sword as such. These were certianly worth oponents.

And as the golem projectile flew at him, Allen didn't exactly have much time to react. He shifted to the side, his katana blade still in front of him, tryign to dodge the other man. But he wasn't quite fast enough, Shouyin's non-stone side clipping him, as Allen's katana possibly gave Shouyin another cut, depending on the angle.

Allen, at least, was knocked to the side and to the ground, a little dazed. And, rather than moving, he just decided to lie there for the moment. His eyes still seemed unfocused, but he was still keeping an eye on the knight.

And Allen's katana, half hidden underneath him, was beginning to glow again.

Owle uncurled when she could no longer hear or feel the sound of galloping hooves. There wasn't an awful lot she could do...her dagger wouldn't pierce his armor, and there wasn't anything underneath the armor to stab. The only thing to do was...oh, gods...

I hope you don't mind coming along for the ride, she thought, her snakes curling around the tiny life fluttering within her body.

The woman turned into a black cat, and ran around Allen and Shou and the knight, giving them a wide berth. She was hoping to get behind the knight without him taking any special notice of her.

Shouyin winced as the blade sliced cleanly across the back of his left shoulder. Landing on his back, he tucked his head in and rolled backwards, once again getting to his feet. For the sake of location Allen would probably be somewhere in between the half-golem and the knight, off slightly to Shou's left. Another layer of stone sealed this wound shut as well, but he was hoping not to become any more patchwork than that.

His pupils thinned slightly, and for a brief moment he looked almost snake-like. There were no green wisps of light, not yet at least, but Shouyin was obviously somewhere between crazy pumped up, and flat-out enraged. He ran, shuffled and walked his way towards the knight, cutting off at least some of the momentum it could gain with that horse and putting himself just a little behind Allen and off to the side.

He'd already been cut twice by the man, he wasn't going to have him at his back so willingly.

lolz, let's rock.

OOC: Any locations or directions (of Allen, and the cut), are sheer guesswork.

The last empty hand let go of the reins so it could grab the axe. But he wasn't going go two weapon badass style of combat, he was going for the special move. You see, the gauntlet began to spin round and round, until the speed made the weapon just a madly spinning blade.

That one was the insurance against Allen. It tore into the hardwood floor like a circular saw and went careening towards him in a cloud of sawdust.

As for Shou the knight kicked the horse with invisible heels, begining a trot towards him. The True Knight kept his shield up untill the last possible moment, when he droped his guard to make a stabbing attack with the longsword.

The cat went unnoticed, Roxsohard had forgotten.

Allen had been expecting an attack. He'd been waiting for it, really. And if the saw axe was an interesting method, it still was able to be countered in the way Allen had planned. Which, as the axe tore through the floor towards him, he executed.

It was fairly simple really. A quick gathering of his mucles, using his legs to push him off to the side. And in the same motion, thrusting the point of his katana towards the center of the gauntlet, from the side. With the added force from the Soul Charge, it would likely manage to pierce, and if it did Allen would continue using the force to hopefully tear through the gauntlet. Ruining it.

Either way, though, he was gonna end up covered in sawdust.

And Owle was behind the knight. A good deal behind him, behind him enough to get a running head start before the black cat leapt at him, hurling herself at his back.

The moment before impact, the cat shifted into the ball of armored scales she had been before. Now, instead of a 15lb soft, squishy impact, it would be a 20 lb hard impact, with all the force of her momentum behind it.

RAAAAAH TEAMWORK!

As the longsword came thrusting downwards at Shouyin, the half-golem threw his right hand out. He didn't much enjoy relying on this aspect of his body so much, but when it came down to hand vs weapon combat, this was his strongest aspect. The blade wasn't too thick, and with a quick grip Shou would catch the blade in his hand, holding it tightly and pulling inwards.

Green eyes burnt as those fateful wisps of energy trailed off Shouyin's shoulders.

If the knight felt pain, then surely his attention would focus towards Allen's attack at his gauntlet, and hopefully Owle hitting him in the back would upset his balance enough, or at least surprise him as Shouyin attempted to pull him into a punch with his left. The Angrfist ability tapped directly into the second soul residing in Shouyin's body, the one that masked his own energy, and granted him unbelievable strength in times of need. With this extra boost, one of Shouyin's punches (with firm footing and proper technique) could level a small building. In this case, it wouldn't be as extreme, seeing as he wanted to retain his stamina, but it'd certainly be enough to tug the knight off his horse with his right and destroy most of his upper body with his left.
