 Sonico stopped and crossed her arms looking ahead of her "Why are you after me?..please just go back to Els and tell him I'm going home!" She said as she started to cry and hold her face "The group is fine without me on tomorrow!.." she yelled as she got on her knees and looked up at the burnning Sun feeling like emptyness. "Aya-Chan..." She said crying more.

 Aya got down to Sonico's level. She ran her hand into the Sonico's hair, it is what her adoptive mama would do to make her smile. "I am after you because the desert is dangerous to be in when you are alone. You are apart of the the team so everyone is needed!" Aya yelled back and hugged Sonico seeing how much the girl had cried. When Sonico said Aya she looked at her thinking Sonico had something to say to her. "What is it?"

Sonico lowered her head and cried softly "How would you know if I'm needed in the team?...I've been useless since the day I joined this team...im more of a cheerleader than a damn member!" She yelled as tears flowed and she held on tightly to her ARM crying. "I've been nothing since my parents went away...nothing!" Sonico said as she touched her headphones and it began to play slow music.

Aya smiled, "No one is ever useless on the team, being a cheerleader is great." she said trying to make the tears go away by wiping them away. "You are something why do you doubt yourself?" She isn't even gone for a month or so and already someone feels useless, Aya wanted to show Sonico that she wasn't useless or nothing. Then an idea hit her. "My gunman can be controlled by two people, usually I have it set on where I am in control but if I change the settings a little you can fight along side me. Would you like to give that a try?" hearing the sad music from Sonico's headphones made Aya hope her offer would work a little bit. Little Lion Man gave confidence to Aya it might do the same for Sonico.

Pilot of Lagann: Els Kashira Els pocketed the second core drill and got in Lagann. "Dammit...I'm an idiot." He said as he flew over to Aya and sonico. "Hey!" He said as he jumped out of lagann and landed on his feet. Lagann landed behind him. "Sonico, sorry if I hurt you." He apologized. Hearing Aya's offer, the music began to change and she nodded "If I can't work with my Sonikku then I'll try your gunman" she said sighing deeply then got up slowly and turned to Els. She raised her ARM, her hand turned into a fist and she punched him in the stomach then before he bent over, she kissed him deeply and smiled. "You feel better now?...now let's go okay?" She said giggling and smiling more with a blush going across her face

Aya laughed at the scene that at first looked painful then turned into some strange kind of love. The redhead stood up ready to walk back with Els and Sonico. "Ah, young love." Aya was the same age as them but then looking at Sonico's chest she caught something and was almost jealous of the comparison. But that thought quickly left her mind.

Pilot of Lagann: Els Kashira "If you think this is love...urp...this is just how she usually acts..." He said, holding his stomach after aonico kissed him. Els then barfed on the ground. "God, I haven't done that in awhile!" He said as he put sonico in the lagann backseat and got in lagann. "Let's go back!" He said as he activated Laganns flight. Aya smiled putting her hands on her head. "Whatever dude, I'll meet up with you in a second I gotta go get Little Lion Man." she said and ran off in the same direction Els and Sonico were probably heading. She didn't want Little Lion Man to be hurt or something that was her prized possession.

Sonico giggled and held Els softly from behind "To be honest...I do love you...your feelings for me, you don't have to tell if you don't want to.." she whispered as she blushed and looked down. "I..I just wanna know if you feel the same about me ..I've always wanted to know Els.." she added as she turned to look at Aya.

Aya had appeared moments ago not even out of breath, she stretched her arms a little and smiled when seeing Sonico and Els had landed next to her gunman. She apparently didn't hear what Els had said to Sonico so was oblivious at the moment but she couldn't shake this feeling that something was wrong. Aya ignored Els as spirals flooded his mind, she walked over to Sonico. "Hey girl." Aya smiled seeing a beautiful friend.

Sonico stayed in her seat with a blank stare and her eyes turned in a deeper shade of pink almost black. Her headphones played static and she looked dead. What Els said to her kept replaying in her head "Mmmhh ahhhh...I confessed and this is what I get?..." She said with no tone like a zombie

 In the meanwhile, Kenshi had been performing repairs and upgrades to the ship, wearing the helmet usually covering his head while in gunmen form, his lower legs in gunman form as well, letting him hover around. His entire system had changed, which took some getting used to, but he had figured out everything now. He was now able to only partially enter gunmen state, which was great and practical on top of that.
