With the ledge to herself, Bobby leaned back and splayed herself tiredly. That had taken a lot more out of her than she had anticipated, "Ha! Yeah...." she sighed, still catching the last of her breath.
"I know exactly what you mean..." the pig peered down her belly at Pyroth, "But I think mine is more of activity that messes it up.... though the body is all /their/ doing!" Bobby rolled her eyes playfully, "I could have made a tail, and then I wouldn't have gotten the other... side-effects...." The last word was managed through a large, toothy yawn. Her eyes closed slightly as the lids became heavier.... and heavier.... and heavier...

Pyroth nodded. "Well yeah, the tail alone would have been adorable but I think you are just great as you are. We match each other in our oddness." he smirked.
He figured with his tiredness he ought to head back to his duplex for a snooze, but part of him didn't want to go. The fear was still deep rooted in him, terrible and bottomless. He felt like a child, scared to leave the side of the one they cared about in case it was the last time they ever did. He decided to swallow his pride and ask what he'd been wanting to for a long time.
"But yeah. I'm actually anxious about going back to my duplex, lying alone when I feel like this. Letting my thoughts run wild." he looked down at his hands guiltly. "But yeah, I was wondering..would I be able to stay with you? Just for one night. No more than that."
He felt pathetic, asking such a silly thing, such a weak thing. But he'd never been a strong man in terms of his own mind.
"Ofcourse. If you don't don't want me there then that's fine too, no obligation." he flicked his ears back looking worried.

Bobby smiled, "Yeah... we are odd..." she said sleepily.
At the coyote's tone, the pigs eyes shot open in shock. With a grunt, Bobby managed to sit back up and stare at Pyroth. He didn't mean? Did he really? The thought surprised her... and other emotions rose to the surface: happiness, relief... arousal, nervousness... Her eyes cleared, and it was soon apparent in them what Bobby wanted.
It was a strange feeling for her, because it was the same that she had felt so long ago. Bobby was a virgin when she first slept with her now-legal-husband Trevor... and now, she was feeling the same thing all over again. But this time, the pig was adding its own feelings, its own wants. And because it didn't conflict with what the woman wanted, she succumbed to it.
Looking back at the open door and partially clean room that now smelled almost sterile, Bobbysighed longingly. After awhile, she looked back at coyote and smiled, "I would love that, Pyroth!"
Her energy restored with the promises of the night, Bobby stood and helped Pyroth to his feet... paws... whatever.

The brief pause where Bobby considered what he had asked seemed to Pyroth to last an eternity. He'd always been a pessimist of the highest order and in those few seconds his mind raced with a million horrible possibilities of rejection and humiliation. He wasn't sure what had driven him to ask or where he had gotten the courage to so. He followed her gaze to the room briefly, his ears still about as far back as they could go. He mentally blamed the coyote for asking such a forward question but at the same time knew it was down to him as well.
However the tension shattered as Bobby spoke, her words interrupting the disappointment that pre-emptively flooded his mind. He blinked. "R-really?" he was more grateful than he could find words for, and all but leant on Bobby as she helped him up, still in shock that for once the world hadn't turned around and fly-kicked him in the face.

Bobby took his face in one of her hooved hands and smiled gently, "I feel the same way.." she said, mostly meaning about the shock that someone would still /want/ her. As best she could, for her lacked lips now, Bobby kissed Pyroth right under his nose and on the front of his muzzle. It wasn't a passionate human kiss... for they weren't really humans anymore, but it was the best she could do at this point.
And after that, Bobby lifted up the lithe coyote in her moutain-like arms, and carried him to the bed. There was the problem of the door, but she countered that as best she could. Pyroth came out alright. Finally, they were in the room, and the pig carried her charge to the bed, where she laid him down than then soon followed suit.
In reality, it wasn't as romantic as her previous times, but at the moment, it was the most romantic thing possible for the two of them that she could think of. The whole time, she was still trying to impress Pyroth.
Bobby ran her hooves through his fur, trying her best to the feel of them. Her fingers were all the hard gelatin of the hoof, but her palms and wrist could still feel him. She cuddled up close, trying to embrace his warmth with her own.

Pyroth was beyond astounded and could only grin in at her affection, nuzzling her in return, his ears relaxingg from their anxious laid back position. He was about to say something when he was picked up, something which totally took him by surprise, the coyote would normally have objected to such, in canine language, dominant behaviour from anyone, but in Bobby's case Pyroth was actually willing to defer. He curled in as much as he could so as not to get his head smacked on the door and simply allowed himself to be put where she would. The whole time he was grinning broadly, hopelessly amused by the typical role reversal. But all in all he could give a damn, he never was an alpha male personality, most people he met were stronger and more intelligent than he was.
As Bobby, offered her own embrace, he returned it, his form still human enough to not present /too/ much trouble. He couldn't talk, couldn't voice how much he cared for her, the soul who had come to the island and made his days that bit brighter just by being there for him. He could hear her heartbeat this close, stronger than his own and the scents were intoxicating.
He gave her a squeeze and leaned his head against her.
"Thank you for not turning me away. It means a lot to me." He grinned playfully, giving her grateful lick. "Though I just wish I'd asked you sooner."

Bobby was happier too, something she had only previously felt on the Island when by herself with nothing on her mind, and emptiness as it were. But now, there was Pyroth, he was was here to fill that void in her, and Bobby held on to him, refusing to let him go.
"I would never turn you away... never!" of course, she added her own administrations before struggling out of her clothes. It was probably entertaining for Pyroth, to see her having that much trouble... but she didn't care.
--Fadeout-- du...duh... duuuuuuuuuuuh!
Bobby was holding Pyroth, exhausted once again. She doubted entirely she would be able to go another round. The pig grunted in pure satisifaction and affectionately.
"Ya know..." Bobby smiled, her eyes closed and her face snug on Pyroth's shoulder, "... the clothes really had me worried there for awhile...."

Pyroth could only laugh, the sound one that seemed to be growing progressively harder to find the longer he stayed here on the island. "They had /you/ worried?!" he cackled, "I was more worried." he said "Either way, they added a whole new level of complexity."
He wagged his tail amiably, too tired to move himself, closing his own eyes again with a sigh. "Still, wouldn't change it or you for the world."

Bobby smiled, her canines glinting in the little bit of light unheeded, for neither saw them. "Complexity... I'd say... I have to do that every day, ya know... only usually not so rushed..." she gave a kind a squeal-laugh. Uusally, something that slipped like that would have really made her sheepish... but she knew Pyroth accepted her as she was, and what she was becoming. And she did the same for him. "Now would I change you..." her voice was really trailing as sleep took over.
"For better or for worse," Bobby whispered, snuggling closer to Pyroth and throwing an arm across his chest to snuggle closer. "most likely..." she sighed, her words starting to slur as happy darkens encased her mind, "... for worse...."
Soon after, the gruntish snoring a pig could be heard.

Pyroth grinned where he was, too drowsy to say anything more. Instead he snuggled in closer to her embrace, no longer afraid of that abyss he had spied before him, caring only about the here, now and Bobby. Giving his tail one final contented wag before drifting off into his own dreams, peaceful ones free for now from that dreadful shadow of the future that had marred them before.

Bobby woke at some time in the night. Her head had migrated to Pyroth's chest, and when brought it up to look on his sleeping face, the pig sighed almost sadly. A single tear gathered and rolled down her cheek. She knew, now, that she loved him... but it tore at her heart to think about the man she had left behind.
She put her head back and snuggled into Pyroth's chest, taking in his scent and warmth. Before falling back asleep, she gave her only apology to the man she left behind, "I'm sorry, Trevor..."
The pig was back asleep and grunt-snoring almost immediately.

Basking at the Beach .... *sniff* Anyone smell bacon? (PRP) Alec :: Bobby :: Amaya Fully rested and replenished, Alec scuffled through the jungle towards the beach with more of a cheery attitude than last time. What was the use of worrying about the future, lamenting over what was lost? It was a nice day and he was intent on enjoying it for once in a long time.
The punk teen wore nothing but his grey shorts as he made his way through the sand and into the bright sunlight. Taking a deep breath in, he stretched and yawned before beginning a search for the perfect spot to sit down.Bobby was in a better mood since her time with Pyroth. He always seemed to lighten her mood, even when it was so long ago. The sun was shining, and the pig wanted to do some sun-bathing. She still wasn't comfortable with the newest changes. She could walk and throw things... that was about the extent, and all she needed. But, she didn't like blantantly showing it off... so she would work her best to keep her extra boobs under control and covered. She put on a normal swimsuit top for the first set, but all the others were wrapped in strapless swimsuit tops. A matching bottom was there as well, and a nice little floppy swim-skirt underneath... so, so planned to swim too, nothing wrong with that.
Burdened with her ever-present bag of food and supplies, Bobby set out to the beach. She wasn't expecting anyone else there... so, when she caught sight of the person in the distant, the pig squealed in surprise. Standing there, jaw dropped, Bobby could only stare. Finally, her mind cleared, and the figure looked familiar. It clicked. She couldn't see the changes at her distance.
Raising a plump arm, Bobby called out, "Alec! Is that you?"Unlike the other two, Amaya was in the more depressed group of the island. She went day by day, trying to keep her mind occupied away from what was probably the inevitable last change... which she had no idea when it would come. And even then, what she would look like afterward.
Then after it finally came, what would happen to her? Would they kill her? Do even more horrible experiments to her? She didn't know... But none of them, even remaining untouched on the island and inside her duplex looked very good.
After a day of basking, the green iguana slowly pushed her way out through the bushes and eventually found herself farther down the beach from Bobby and Alec... though she didn't see them, green eyes stared out at the ocean as it came back and forth over the sand.Alec jumped at the piggish squeal that sounded from a distance not too far away from him. Head jerking around for the source, he spotted the.... large.. form of the friendly woman Boddy, sitting in the sand.
She looked different, to say the least. Was everyone changing on the island recently? From the looks of it, he must be one of the ones to evade the trend. Maybe his habit of keeping a low profile when it came to the Staff was working out. "Aye!" He called back and offered a short wave, figuring he'd pay a short visit if she didn't mind the company. "'ow are ye?" He tried not to notice her awkward attire as he shuffled closer down the beach, her exaggerated features made it hard.Bobby saw the jump, even at that distance. She couldn't help but smile a little apologetically as she made her way closer to the youth. "Sorry about that.... it's hard to stop sometimes." A blush may have been seen if it wasn't for her dark skin and cheek-fur.
With the two of them walking towards each other, it didn't take for them to finally meet. Immediately, she knew her new features were being obsorbed by Alec, but at that moment, it didn't seem to matter. "Doing well, I guess.... I am a bit plumper... and now I have eight full-grown, well... you know." Bobby couldn't help but growl deep in her throat, "They are the worse. Women constantly have major back problems from only two... and I have eight!" She shook her head, a sparkle was in the corner of her eye. It was more of a sad-angry one... sad she had this happening to her anyways and royally pissed because she was stuck with eight breasts!
"And how are you? It looks like you've had your first change... I'm sorry." Bobby turned to another direction and added as a side-note, "Shall we look for a place to enjoy this sunny beach as much as possible?" She winked and started walking off, somewhat slowly because her average speed had decreased since her last speed... and she more waddled than actually walked.Amaya still didn't really notice the two drawing closer, chalking the figures up to simply a pair of trees thanks to the wavy effect the heat had on everything as summer got closer to it's peak.
She walked down to the waters edge and sat, her tail curling slightly around her form and her feet close enough to be licked by the water as it got closer."Iss'ekay." Alec smiled, trying to contain a grimace as she went into a tyrade about how she loathed her breasts and other such details he wasn't really interested in hearing... from anyone, let alone Bobby. She was too old for that sort of chatter to be comfortable. "Don' worreh, 'ave seen worse." He offered the answer he knew was sure to keep him safe and comfort her somewhat at the same time.
It hadn't occurred to him that she hadn't seen him changed until she mentioned it. "Yea, a' 'ad a change awhile ago." The teen paused for a moment, thinking over what he meant to say next. "Maybeh if a' lay low they w'nt find me again." He chuckled a bit as he slowed his pace to match Bobby's, noticing a figure he hadn't noticed before near the water. Wondering if Bobby saw it, he remained silent. Bobby could see that her appearance and talk was begining to mess with Alec. She had seen that look before... she had seen it with a many of teenagers... mostly younger than Alec. Whenever Mel and Patty brought home friends and talked about such things they gave that 'Waaay too much information' gaze. The woman took it smoothly, choosing to ignore it but taking the message to heart. "Could always be much worse."
"I am not sure that tactic would work. I still have never met anyone not turning into... something... other than the Doctor Moreau that met me at the helicopter. And here I am... looking like this," she shrugged it off... she had to, to try to hold on to her sanity... detached as best she could manage.
Bobby could not see the new figure. Her eyes might have been going bad, but the heat played with her vision as well. It was a miracle she had seen Alec before... not only that, she had smelled the youth -though it hadn't known it- when she approached. This time, the wind was at her back, blowing the person ahead of them's smell away.Eventually, the moving figures finally caught her attention from the corner of her eye. The girl blinked and turned to look, noticing the two figures shapes as they got closer.
She gave a tiny smile. "Hey Alec! Bobby!" Even though she haden't seen the large woman since her change, it was hard to mistake someone like herAlec nodded, figuring she was right. She seemed a lot more knowledgable and wise than he did. "Ye... " He admittedly responded, not wanting to fool himself into thinking he was immune on the island just for keeping quiet although a small part of him still thought he was right.
He heard the greeting before his poor eyesight could recognize who it was, though the voice was unmistakable. "Aye! Amaya!" The teen smiled and waved back as they continued their path towards her.Bobby shifted her sack to her back, it felt good there: helping to balance her a little to a more central gravity point.... boobs in front with a sack on the back -and not her large rump-. "Amaya!"
The last few strides, the pig attempted running. She stretched her round legs and 'ran' to pick up the iguana in her arms, "How are you dear?" It was time like these, pure joy at seeing the ones she cares about, that allowed Bobby to forget her piggish form. She hugged the girl, firmly but carefully, and let Amaya down with a pig-grunt. "I hope you have been treated well," the woman chuckled like a contented pig and then winked. "Seen any cute boys around?" her memory was great and she remembered the 'beauty' discussion they had. It was women-talk, so Alec was a por bystander at that point."Hey guy-AH!" Amaya screeched as she was lifted into a hug by the rather large Bobby. She returned it the best she could, smiling and breathing out once she was set down again. "I've been okay." She pulled up the top she wore before she could feel the heat rushing to her cheeks, though was glad she couldn't blush at the last question.
Before she could stop herself, she glanced quickly at Alec and then away again. "Uh... no. Not really." The reptile lied, looking a little flustered.Alec stared blankly at the reunion between the two ladies, contently standing to the side and out of the line of fire. He was oblivious to the glances or small comments they were exchanging though he took note of the 'cute boys' comments as well as her answer, finding it quite amusing to play with. "Ye! All th'guys 'ere, sooo butt ugleh." He nodded like he was one of their gender, with a straight face and as much of a teenage-girl voice that he could mockingly replicate. He let the comment settle before promptly laughing to himself. Bobby smiled at the two teenagers innocently. She saw the look... teenagers were so good at looks, and they are a thousands words each. Was there something between those two? She couldn't be too sure...
"I am glad you are doing well, I haven't seen you in awhile." The woman readjusted her pack.
At Alec's comment, Bobby snickered, "Well, I dunno... I know at least one guy that isn't /that/ bad looking." Her eyes flickered to Amaya before focusing again on Alec, entirely amused.Amaya looked between them, mouth opening and closing as she tried to find something to say. "I didn't mean your ugly, Alec!" She flailed her arms in distress. "And don't gimmie that look!" Her voice squealed at Bobby, going up a couple octives. Alec thought he was the cat's arse, snickering as Amaya was obviously flustered. How did he love making people uncomfortable, it was almost refined to an art though even as he laughed, it was evident that he didn't quite get the retort Bobby had made. ".... who?"
Not wanting to bother and feeling rather unattentive, he merely shrugged it off to kick at the tide as it shrank back into the ocean.Bobby smiled innocently at Amaya, "What look? I am not in control of how I look... you can thank the good doctor for that one." She winked; though, her thanks to the 'good doctor' would probably result in another one of those body-dropping shocks.
Oh... how she loved the clueless ones. Her experience with males allowed her to play with them. She didn't really want to 'play' with Alec, he was too sweet to do such with. But, because she chose not to toy with his mind, she also wasn't completely sure what to say. So, instead, she sent him a wink, "I'll tell ya when you're older." That was an overused phrase... that and 'Because I said so', but what else was she supposed to say? What if he didn't know....? "Nothing! Nothing." The teen said quickly to Alec, green eyes going to the ground and her arms crossing her chest slightly. Alec snickered more, uncaring how the comments had just flew over his head like a jetplane. It wasn't his business to understand everything, apparently.
Amusing himself like a child by trailing along the sand to stare at his own footprints and the like, he finally turned and decided to weasel some entertainment from the little group that had formed. "Wanna go fo' a swim?" Bobby was in her bathing suit, he figured it had been her intention from the start at least.Bobby's grin widened, her fangs flashing in the sun. "A swim? I'd love to!" The woman walked out partway, the water splashing up to her ankles. She held out a hoof to Amaya, "Would you like to join us? I'd offer to help, but I cannot guarantee I won't sink like a rock...."
It was meant to be a joke, but once they were out; well, there was some truth in it."Ah, sure. Hold on." Amaya slipped off her top and skirt, revealing her black bathing suit underneath. She always wore it when she went out, knowing that any moment she might get too hot from the sun and would have to dip into the lake or river.
Taking the offered hoof, the iguana wadded out. The second her tail hit the water it moved back and forth slowly like an aligator, helping propel her foreward. He watched them wade out into the surf slowy but surely, staying back on shore as if he was biding his time or waiting for the right moment. He'd never actually swam in the ocean before, despite how much time he'd spent on the island already. Even back home, he'd never even seen it.
Finally gathering his resolve, he jogged over and into the water past the girls straight into a shallow dive. The water felt cool and refreshing, especially on the rough patches of skin on his neck as well as his odd, woody joints. Coming up for air a short distance away, his now-flattened and colourful mohawk was the defining point that could be seen as his head looked as though it was bobbing in the waves.Bobby watched Amaya. She didn't know iguanas were so nimble in the water... you live, you learn. The woman noticed Alec's hesitation while she admired Amaya's talent. Why was he.... but then he not only entered the water but passed them!
"You look like you were born out there, Alec," she called out with a grin and wave.
Turning to the reptile, the pig sighed, "I used to love swimming, but now I don't think I could...."Amaya stuck a large, pink tongue out at the punk, but stayed next to Bobby so she didn't seem left out.
"You might still be able to... doesn't... uh..." She bit her bottom lip, wondering if what she was about to say would be insulting. But... "... fat... float?" She winced, frowning down at the waves. "Sorry."Alec gave a wide, toothy grin from his position in the surf, letting the waves crash over the back of his head as he watched the two hang closer to shore. "Jus' like a pool, righ'?" He called back to the them, sticking his tongue at Amaya as well. She looked pretty cool, a lot like something close to a crocodile although Bobby looked more like a big brown beachball in the water. She could have taken in bad, but Bobby could only laugh at Amaya's mix-up of words. "Yes, I'm fat, and I don't think I can float right.... pigs are not very buoyant..." she didn't really know for sure.... Her hooves weren't very helpful for stroking or threading water.
"A pool?" Bobby looked out over the horizon, "I'd say a little bigger than a pool... even an olympic pool." She snerked."Maybe we can look for seashells then?" The girl suggested, stopping when the water reached Bobby's shoulders. Though for her, she was treding water with her tail and feet.
"But first..." She gave an evil smirk and glanced towards Alec. Amaya started to swim at him like a crocodile, her arms planted to her sides and her tail propeled her along. "Dun dun... dun dun... dundundundundu-" She was cut off as her form vanished beneath the waves with a flicker of her tail.Alec watched in amusement until Amaya ducked under water, his grin quickly turning to a sort of alarm. "Uh?" He looked around but even the water was crystal clear, he couldn't see her. "Ay!" He squawked and began thrashing in the water in a sort of mad-dash for the shore. Even though the ocean was like a big "pool" to him, he still wasn't the best at swimming in it.
His best efforts to move quick weren't very successful. While Alec worried about his own skin, Bobby was scared for Amaya. She looked around, "Amaya? AMAYA! Don't drown... oh, please don't drown." The woman added the last under her breath.
Bobby looked around, waiting for some ripples in the water not from waves. Then... Alec started thrashing. The pig watched in horror, helplessness taking over her. She thought he was in trouble, not trying to get to shore. Bobby tried to get closer. Her bottom feet left the shore bottom and she was trying to just keep her head above the water while making her way to the punk-haired youth. "Hold on, Alec!"Oblivious to the panic above, the lizard drew even closer to Alec. She didn't realize that she had her eyes open, though it was very distorted or the fact that she had been able to swim rather fast.
But when she got close enough, her large hands reached up and yanked him under the water. But to make sure he didn't drown, Amaya quickly swam up behind him and put her hands under his arms to lift him back up.
She didn't even look out of breath when she stuck out her tongue at him again. "Nyah!""....GAH!" The punk teen's yell was cut off as he was dragged underwater only to bob to the surface shortly after. Squinting and disoriented from the attack as well as Bobby's frantic attempts to save his life, he went about attempting to cough up the saltwater he'd just snorted.
Looking much like a limb sack of potatoes in the tide, Alec let himself drift for a moment in a grumpy stupor that Amaya's attack had actually succeeded. He'd get her back once he stopped choking.Bobby was almost to Alec, or so to her vision, when Amaya pulled him under. She assumed the worst, he was drowning. The truth of the matter was, she should have been worrying about herself. Pigs were not swimmers....
Alec resurfaced, and Amaya soon after. The boy was coughing up water, but seemed unharmed... and the girl just looked proud of herself. That was all she saw, though, for the water was pulling her out in preparation for another small wave to go to shore. It was a normal process, but now it was beginning to be lethal for the woman.
The wave crested and crashed over her head, pulling her already heavy weight down far. She was too big to tumble under the current, so just fell. Shock and horror went through her body as her hooves touched ground....in her panic she pushed off and surfaced, coughing... only to have another, though smaller, crash over her head.
When she came up again, Bobby looked at the youths, "No-w *sp* thha *spiiii* can we... *spa!* I'ma goin *ha* back!" The woman had a hard time speaking since water entered her mouth every time she opened her mouth.
Without another word, Bobby tried to turn and swim back. She eventually got used to the wave cycle and took deep breaths, trying to push from the wave that pushed her to the shore... and trying to stay still while it tried to pull her back out to the open sea.
Finally, the tips of her hooves touched surface. She took one more step to the shore. The wat was up to her chin, but Bobby could breath... and she used the opportunity to gasp for air.
Feeling better she turned to the other two. Water ran down her face, possibly with tears of frustration mixed in. "Don't ever do that to me again!" Bobby wasn't really mad, just upset... she had been /really/ worried! The teen blinked, her giggling at Alec ceasing once she saw how much trouble Bobby was in. "s**t! Alec c'mon!" Pulling him with her for most of the way, she eventually let him go when they were a lot closer to shore.
Instinctivly she dived under and resurfaced right next to the older woman. "I'm sorry! I was just playing a trick and-" She cut herself off, grabbing Bobby's hoof and helping her to shore. "I'm sorry." Amaya looked clearly ashamed of herself.By the time Alec had finally regained his composure enough to attempt a counter-attack, he was dragged hard through the water by the now-frantic Amaya. "FBBBBAH!!" He fumbled his legs in the air until she'd let him go to tirely bring himself back to dry land.
"Uh... ye ekay Bobbeh?" He winced at her breathless expression, wading in the water near her. "Bleh.... salteh."Bobby looked over at Amaya, "Don't apologize... you were just enjoying myself." She surveyed the water surface and shook her head while talking little and slow steps closer to shore. "Water is not my thing... I shouldn't have tried to swim again... this was a mistake."
The pig was getting closer to shore... closer to land... closer to not drowing; her hood wrapped in Amaya's long fingers. Turning to Alec, she shook her head, "No... not okay..." Bobby felt helpless... should couldn't help these two -thought they didn't need her help, and she couldn't help herself. And after everything... she was just exhausted.
Bobby smiled slightly, for Amaya's sake as well as her own, "But don't worry, I'll recover... after a nap..." And that sandy beach was looking very tempting... too tempting.
They finally reached a level where the water was only to her knees. Giving Amaya's hand as much as a reassurance squeeze as her hoof could allow, Bobby sighed. "The nap sounds good, of that's alight. You two play and I'll go sleep on the sand. I can make it from here."
Carefullly, she took back her hoof and then walked along the shore. She found where she had dropped her sack. Grabbing an apple she inhaled the fruit as fast she could. The peeling disappeared along with the core inside. Then, finding a small packed blanket, she wrapped herself in it and curled up on the sand.
Within moments, she was asleep. Snorts and grunts sounded while she dreamt... dreams of food and bumming on a couch..... ahh, that was the lifeThe reptile frowned, despite what Bobby did to convince her otherwise. To her words, she simply nodded and let her go off to take a nap.
Once she was asleep she looked down at the water lapping her knees. "I should just go..." She caused so much trouble. Bobby had almost drowned because of her. Alec quietly watched Bobby head over to a spot to nap in, feeling bad that she couldn't do the things she wanted to anymore. She hated it when he realized it, but everything that meant something to everyone was eventually slipping away infront of his eyes. "Kay... Sleep well." He mumbled a delayed response and turned back to Amaya. She had that familiar look on her face, the guilt and the self-punishment.
"'ey, s'not ye fault a' c'nt swim tha' good." He itched at the back of his neck before hesitantly wrapped an arm around her shoulders. The motion felt so awkward. "A'll ge' betteh n' chase ye down some day. A' go' a' pay ye back f'tha' one." He half-smiled and squeezed her shoulder a bit.Amaya tensed slightly at the contact, feeling her face flush again. Though she quickly relaxed, although was still a bit flustered. A small smile graced her scaley features and she looked up at the punk.
"I'm gonna go, though. Make sure Bobby doesn't accidently wiggle into the ocean." Patting the hand that was on her shoulder, she started walking back slowly towards her duplex.Doing a quick release of Amaya's shoulder (like it was pure poison), Alec was left standing dumbly on the beach as he watched her leave him behind. "Uh.. ekay." He shrugged and waved a goodbye before returning to the water's edge. He could watch over the sleeping swine as he enjoyed a good dip... now that no crocodile-iguanas were in the premesis.

Fishing in the River (PRP) Chana :: Bobby Chana sighed happily as she came up to her favorite bend in the river. The water was slightly deeper there, all the better for fishing.
It was amazing, and a little scary, how much better being outside by the river made her feel. The beaver liked it (though would rather see the river dammed), and she liked it. The privacy and peace of the area was a welcome change from her duplex.Bobby had spent most of her time in her duplex or close to it. She couldn't leave it for long without getting incredibly hunger pangs. At some points, she thought she had worms or something.... for no matter how much she ate she was still so hungry. If it wasn't so impossible, it could be a baby "worm"... but she doubted even more that she was pregnant. Either way, she had a large backpack and a packed messenger bag at her side. It was just enough to last a day out and about... and it had been so long since she had been "out".
The woman found her way to the river. The sight of the water made her shudder a little, but it was much less than that of the ocean, so maybe she could relax and enjoy the peace.
There was a splash of water, and the pig stared hard, what was that? "Hello?" Bobby called out.Chana had jumped in the water and was trying to catch a fish when she heard someone call out. It didn't sound like someone she'd met before...though that could just be the water in her ears.
The beaver swam over to the shallows so that she didn't have to tread water. "Hello! Who's there?"
It seemed a safe enough question...she hadn't yet met a woman on the island that she'd run screaming from...unless if it was in anger from Antony. But this didn't sound like Antony. Bobby walked closer to the shore, still wary of it's depths. She had learned the hard way that swimming wasn't much of an option anymore. When she saw the brown face, she couldn't help but kneel down and smile. The pig had no idea what it was that she was encountering, but this young woman smelled like a mammal.... but there she was swimming. And those teeth.... she wasn't quite sure what the other one was turning into. While she studied the bright face, quiet grunts came unnoticed from her throat and nose.
"Hello, I'm Bobby..." the pig eyed her, "I don't think I have met you before.""I'm sure we've never met, but I'm Chana," the beaver said happily. She was so much more relaxed for being in the free-flowing water...perhaps she'd have to camp out here or something, just as long as she was here more often. Her beaver tail slapped the water as she thought about that.
Bobby looked...well...she looked like someone who would've tried all of the fad diets Chana had ever heard of and more. But the snout, the ears, the tusks...that had to be part of her changes. The beaver hated to think of anyone that way, but Bobby looked like a pig.
"I guess you've been here for a while," she said, though the dryness the comment should have had was rather offset by her own exuberance.Bobby would have waddled to the shoreline, but alas she was just too big. So, she stood up again and then went to sit on dry land, letting her hooved feet get wet in the water She took off the packs and set them to the other side while she tried to relax in the water near Chana.
Seeing the tail, her eyes widened in realization, "Oh, a beaver!" She realized almost immediately what she said and seemed embarrassed. "Sorry..." Bobby grumbled low in her throat.
"Umm, awhile... I think. If my changes mean anything, I would think that would explain the time." Bobby smiled sheepishly, her bottom fangs gleaming unthreateningly, "I have no idea how long.... what about you? Awhile?" Chana chuckled a bit. "Yeah, a beaver. Kinda obvious when you see it...so I guess it's good. I didn't have to ask." Her voice trailed off as she noticed a fish investigating her legs. He had no right to be down there! She slapped at the fish irritably with her tail before turning back to Bobby.
"I've been here...since November," she admitted. "It's amazing that so much has changed in such a short time." Her excitement dimmed a bit wit those melancholic words. If only she hadn't...
Ah...who was she kidding. She was stuck here, and that was that. Besides, if she hadn't come here, she would never have met Stewart, and that had too much potential to just toss aside.
If Stewart had been where the fish was, she certainlky wouldn't have slapped him with her tail...
...and the beaver's eyes unfocused a bit as she was off in her day dream."Just a little," Bobby smiled. She figured her monstrous obesity helped others to figure out what /she/ was.
Watching the interaction with Chana and the fish, Bobby leaned over a little, catching just the fleeting glance of the creature's scales. "Aww," she joked, "there goes lunch..." Actually, she wouldn't have minded fish.... maybe she brought some.
Bobby turned to one of her bags and started to 'fish' in it for some marine-food. She was unpacking much of the wide variety of food the bag contained. The pig turned back, her eyes staring off at first, "I think it was... March for me. But Novemeber?" she was giong to say something about the holidays -at least she had that last Thanksgiving and Christmas- but decided against it.
The look on Chana's face didn't go past her womanly instincts. There was some potential good gossip there, don't ya know! Bobby pulled out a tuna sandwich and then all her attention was on the beaver. She grinned impishly, her eyes shining "Oh.... is there a lucky guy for you here? I am old enough to know /that/ look!" the pig winked."March, eh?" she repeated, a bit dazed from her distraction still. She was able to retreat back into the dream for a bit longer until Bobby started talking in the standard 'woman wants the juicy gossip' tone.
The beaver looked up, flushing a little. "Well...hopefully. We...we had a rocky start," well, yeah, he'd had a crush on Antony! "but things are better. Now it's just been bad timing. And we don't see each other too much," she finished sadly.
She was not about to mention that part of that was because she spent most of her time in her duplex trying to figure out the island and praying. It was too depressing to think about on such a nice day.Bobby listened attentively, watching the young woman's face. Something definately went on... her little match-making gears started turning. Because she didn't know what all went on, Bobby was at a few losses as to what could be done. "Do you know how he feels?"
Seriously, who was she to talk... sure, she was always quick with the men, but did -that- count? Well, maybe she could help someone else in her troubles, "I am afraid I don't know a lot as to what has been going on... my Island-network is fairly small still. May he be someone I know, by chance?"
What she termed 'soccer mom', the ones who knew everyone and had to be in everyone else's business, was starting to take hold... mixing with the match-maker in her. Bobby snorted quietly, trying to make the connections in her mind.Chana snorted. "Of course I know how he feels! Even though he ran off right after we kissed...I think he changed that night. I felt really bad, I left him a basket of food the next morning," she told the pig, cheeks still pink under her fur. For some reason, Bobby reminded her of the nice old women at any Temple, the ones who always asked her what she was doing there on a Friday night, and when she'd find herself a nice young man.
Well, except Bobby wasn't that old. But she had that nice, motherly feel to her. Bobby stopped eating for a second. Well, whoever the man was, it sounded like he was a little shy... "He changed after the kiss? That's not very comfortable circumstances. He doesn't hold your action as 'the kiss of transformation'?" It was meant as a joke, but by the concern in her voice the pig was a little serious too."I don't know," Chana admitted, feeling a bit down now as she thought about it more. "I mean, I'd just changed for the second time that day. And...well...I don't know."
She played with a few twigs by her fingers, absently slipping one into her mouth to munch on.
"I mean, you don't think he blames me...do you?" she asked, looking up at Bobby hopefully.Bobby smiled, small bits of tuna stuck to her teeth. "No, I doubt he blames you for that. You have no control over it, just like the rest of us." The last bit was added sadly. How DID her life go spiralling out of control? Oh yeah... /him/....
The pig sat back, not wanting to think about their hopeless situation just yet. The day was too nice to dampen with such thoughts. "So, would you mind telling me about him? What draws you to this lucky man," Bobby polished off her sandwich and grabbed a blood orange to eat -peel and all-.
"Oh my," Bobby shot up, looking at Chana, "I'm sorry, did you want something to eat? I will most likely have it..." the pig eyed the packs alost in dismay. She had always brought more stuff than she needed, but rarely so much /food/ in her 'last' life in New York."No, I'm fine," Chana replied in regards to the food, gesturing with another twig that vanished into her mouth.
"Well...his name's Stewart. He's religious, well-read, and so naive at times..." the beaver giggled as she remembered. "I'm almost certain he's a virgin, but I think that's part of being a Catholic priest, and he's so...so cute!" she finished triumphantly.
Her tail slapped at another fish trying to get into the off-limits zone. Stupid fish. She wondered if Stewart knew how to swim.Bobby nodded at Chana's twig-gesture. Okay, she wasn't very familiar with beaver eating habits. "If you need anything else, feel free to ask," she grinned.
"Stewart?" the pig pondered, snorting. "No, I haven't met him. A Catholic priest, eh?" Bobby wasn't Catholic, but she knew some... and she was familiar with the celibacy required of them. She giggled, "You're probably right. He is most likely a virgin..." There were some other things she was going to... mention, but Bobby didn't know if that was going too far or not.
Bobby leaned forward, noticing the reactions of the fish. Her eyes squinted in thought. "Is that usual? I didn't know fish were so... bold."Chana waved a hand dismissively at Bobby's repeated offer of food, munching on a few more twigs. They'd hold her until she caught a fish.
"Well, I hope you do get to meet him. He's really quite nice," the beaver remarked. A thought struck her. "You know, I don't think he's very comfortable, turning into a goat. Of course he tries to shake it off, but he's the worst liar I've ever met," she added.
She kicked out at another fish as she considered the question. "I don't know...but I'm trying to catch them. I just wish they wouldn't swim there," she complained. These fish had the dirtiest minds of any animal she'd ever encountered!"I'm sure he's a great guy... granted, I haven't many any who weren't here... other than the Doctor," her cheek twitched at the thought of him. " Bobby sighed sadly, "Are any of us comfortable with all of this?"
Leaning further, almost precariously over the water. Her imbalanced torso could easily make her fall in at any moment... and make a huge splash. Bobby gave a half grin at Chana's comment to the fish's swimming. "Maybe we should stop using fish metaphors for that... maybe too close to the truth, no?" she winked. If she wasn't a slow pig now, the woman probably would have jumped in and tried to catch one of them -just for fun. The beaver smiled up at her. "I really don't know. Somtimes I'm perfectly happy, like when I'm swimming in this river. Other times...I would've called myself in for counseling," she admitted.
Chana laughed outright at Bobby's comments about the fish. "Maybe! I think I'll see if I can grab one!" she said, and dived under the water after the pesky critters. Perhaps they'd forgotten she could move. Perhaps they were still mesmerized by whatever had them thoroughly investigating her. Regardless, the beaver managed to get her claws on one scaled critter and get it onto the riverbank.
"Hah!" she cried, victorious. Bobby shifted a little uncomfortably, sitting back so it was now fully earth that was under her. "I have compleely made up my mind about this place. I try to not reflect on my old life to compare it to..." the woman sighed sadly, "but that's hard; I left so /much/ behind."
Relieved for the subject change, Bobby watched as Chana expertly caught a fish and held it up victoriously. Her eyes shined proudly, but in her heart she was upset. Her hooved fingers would never be able to do such a thing. She might be able to spear them, but the pig was just not quick enough.
"Congratulations," Bobby clapped happily, "Serves the little fellow right, I say!"The beaver frowned; the fish flopped on the shore forgotten. Poor Bobby...she'd done so much to cheer Chana up, she had to return the favor...somehow.
"It's...difficult...to compare this to our old lives," she said, slowly, trying to think things through competely as she said them. "And there's only so much we can cling to without acting like fools."
She smiled down at the almost forgotten fish. "Kinda like him," she said, gesturing at the scaled fiend, "He thought of nothing but having fun investigating me, and now he's probably wishing he stayed far away." She looked up at Bobby, completely serious for the first time since the woman had come over. "I'm not throwing this fish back. And Moreau will never let us go." The beaver shuddered at her own words. Even when she'd thought the doctor an eccentric philanthropist, something about him had sent a chill down her spine. She shuddered again and watched the rest of the dying fish' school mill around in the water.
"They don't even miss him," she whispered, eyes wide in fear and shock.Bobby watched Chana with the fish, without mercy. She wasn't cruel though. Looking to the beaver, the pig grunted. "No... we are completely different for so many reasons," Bobby said without hesitation, her own mind wrapping around the conversation.
"First of all, you need to eat fish now -I think-. That fish isn't dying just for your sick games, but to survive. The Island is not /necessary/ for life. A new life, but not to exist. Of course, I am a little thankful: we are given luxuries and not forced to live completely on the land." Bobby flinched, for she remembered the stories about the lockout. Okay, so they weren't always living off the land.
"Second, my dear Chana, we still keep our basic human details. We know what is happening to us, and probably have our regrets that may have prevented us from arriving on this forsaken island." Bobby nodded toward the dying fish, "I doubt that it knows why this is happening to it or how it could have been prevented. It simply knows pain, and that's all... the nicest thing would be to end that pain as quick as possible." And with that, the pig leaped over with non-sluggish speed -possibly a byproduct of her dissipating humanity- and stabbed through the fish with her sharp hooves. Almost immediately, the fish stopped moving.
The pig sighed and sat back to her original seat. She looked at the beaver with a half-apologetic smile, "Sorry if you liked them alive..."
Bobby turned her attention to the now-dead fish's school and snorted. The same applied to them, pure emotion was all the knew. Only the present was known, and their fallen comrad was no longer there. It was like a child's 'I don't see you so you don't exist'."What? Oh...no, I don't need to eat them, I just like to," the beaver explained about the fish in her diet. "And I like them cooked anyway," she added.
But she was silent as she thought about what Bobby was saying. The fish only knew the present...it knew pain, but couldn't comprehend more.
"I just...can't...I can't bear to think about it," Chana admitted sadly. She could swim and let the beaver be happy, and she could avoid thinking the self-accusing thoughts about her presence here. It might be an escape, but it was better than trying to figure out just what Moreau had seen in her. From her pack, Bobby pulled out one of her miracles. As if from nowhere, a portable stove appeared, and on it went the fish with a stick through it. There was no reason to waist a meal. Looking up, the pig smiled softly at the beaver, "If you want it when I am done that's fine. Otherwise I'll just save it for later." She winked, as if it explained her intense need to eat. Was everything about food with her?
The woman chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. "Well, then, don't think about it." Her mood seemed to change almost instantly when she started preparing the fish. That was one thing she could still do: cook. And for that, there was at least one thing to be grateful for.Chana gaped in surprise as Bobby produced the portable stove. It seemed the woman had shown the most foresight and asked for something useful, as compared to anything she'd seen provided thus far.
"It looks good already," the beaver admitted, swallowing the sudden rush of saliva in her mouth.
It was a good thing that she had the prospect of the snack firmly in mind when Bobby wandered back towards the more serious subject. But, the pig suggested she not think about it, which she was perfectly happy to do. So, Chana decided to change the subject.
"That's a useful thing to have," she said, gesturing to the stove. "Who got it for you?" It was good to know which doctors were more...reliable. Sabin may have been nice to her, but Joli seemed to hate him. Most hated (or at least disliked) Moreau. And of course, there was Aubrey, who was an unknown quantity for the beaver. The fish cracked and sizzled as it cooked. Bobby added a couple herbal flavoring to it, just for the fun of it. She hummed a little when the sound was quiet around them.
Leaning forward and taking on large, last sniff, the pig lifted the fish-on-a-stick and handed it to Chana, "There we go. I hope you enjoy it; but be careful, it may be hot."
She went about cleaning up the small stove. Bobby looked up at the beaver and shrugged, "I don't really know. I saw it just sitting around one day and took it. You never know when you might need it. Although my stomach tolerates most things now, food just settles better if it is cooked." So, maybe there was a little left of human-tolerances of food left in her.The beaver accepted the cooked fish eagerly, blowing on it periodically to cool her meal. She raised an eyebrow at Bobby.
"It was just...left out? That's...odd," Chana said slowly. A lot of things on the island seemed odd to her, but were apparently SOP here. So who was she to say?
"But it's definitely useful. And yes, I can't imagine eating all my food raw," she agreed, leaving the rest of that statement unsaid. She knew Bobby would hear the rest, how they might one day prefer their meals uncooked. She shuddered as she contemplated that future.Bobby shrugged, stuffing the stove back into her bag. She looked at Chana with a mischief grin, "I guess they thought it would be safe just lying around the Island. Ya know, who would take it?" The woman winked as if it was now their little secret.
The pig picked up on the unspoken words but decided not to comment on it, too much. Bobby laughed, her boobs and tight, bulging skin moving with the action. "I've always liked raw octopus...." Her thoughts immediately went to Billy and more 'revenge acts' that could be pulled. She licked her lips for good measure, though she wasn't sure if the beaver had had the 'pleasure' of meeting the Island's octopus-in-residence.Chana, now nibbling on her fish, giggled at Bobby's remark. "I have no idea," she managed to say with a straight face, aided by a mouthful of fish.
"Raw octopus?" the beaver echoed. It didn't sound so bad...(Bleh! What was she thinking? That was nasty!) "Would that be regular octopus or island-grown?" she asked, mostly sarcastic. Eating a fellow islander was a bit odd...but if he thought it was some part of him...
Chana flashed Bobby a smile reminiscent of the Grinch.Bobby chewed on her lower lip, careful to not pierce it with her bottom fangs. "Actually, raw octopus is pretty tasty if prepared correctly. Certain juices and such. I was meaning to a specific Island-grown and caught. A bit of a deserving *bleeped out* if I do say so myself." Most of it was in fun thought... most of it...."I'm not so sure I'm ready to try it," Chana admitted. "But I wholly agree with you on the island-grown bit." She smiled. "Please, let me know when you're planning on doing this, I'd love to watch." Bobby laughed wholeheartedly. She liked this girl! In her laughing, the pig rested a hand on the beaver's shoulder to balance herself. The laughing passed and she breathed for air. Once finally settled, Bobby continued, "I am not sure I'd get away with it, but when I plan something I'll be sure to let you know. Where would I be able to leave a message, as it were?"Chana snickered right along with Bobby. It made a rather...amusing mental image. She staggered a bit as the pig used her as a support, but managed to remain upright.
"A message? I'm in duplex 26, if that's what you mean," she answered. "You?"Bobby smiled and stepped away, letting Chana have her own two feet again withough two extra to be responsible for. "26? I am in 34, and speaking of which..." the pig walked to her splayed pack and goods. Putting everything away, she stood straigh and hoisted it to her back. It always felt better too, since it helped to balance out her eight boobs.
"I should be getting back," the pig winked and started walking, "if I hope to be back in my bed by sunset."
Further away, Bobby turned back and waved to the beaver, "It was nice meeting you, Chana! Stay out of trouble, yah?" The last was a joke, she would be more than intrigued if the girl got into some trouble -though not too serious"Thank you for the fish!" the beaver called after her, waving. Then she looked up at the sky. Bobby was right, it was getting close to sunset...but there was just enough time to catch something for dinner.
Chana dove into the river one last time for the day, intent on getting something good for the meal. And who knew? Maybe she could catch something big enough to share...

Improvisions (The Lake pg. 12-13) Alec :: Nita :: Bobby Alec continued to hang about the lakeside, taking a swim once and awhile but more often just hanging out in the shallow water. Resting his rubbery and awkward feet, his movements were more fluent and it seemed so natural to be emersed in the murky water. Better yet, he found that his grey skin didn't feel so tight after a day of swimming in the lake as opposed to a day at the beach.
For now the sharkboy positioned himself atop a partially submerged and rotting tree stump, letting himself dry out a bit to a comfortable warmth. For a kid that usually loved noise, he seemed to be liking the stillness of the jungle a little more these past few days.Nita had spent most of the day in the jungle, resting and reading in various comfortable trees. The afternoon found her wandering, following one of the many small streams that lead to the lake. Her nose twitched as it met with a familiar scent, and a moment later, Alec came into view. Nita hadn't seen him since the night he'd changed... and now was as good a time as any to see how he was managing. "Hey," she said, leaning casually against a drier part of the stump. A paperback book was clamped safely under one arm and Nita's face was a bit grubby from her tree-climbing. Bobby, unlike the other two, had no intention to be walking around. The pig, however, found herself with her arms full of mushrooms, roots, and anything else she had recently sniffed out as edible. She was piggishly snorting quietly to herself in content when she found that the lake was already in front of her. Blinking in surprise, Bobby let out one final snort before her human part pulled everything back in control.
Spotting Alec sunbathing, the woman chuckled in the back of her throat. It sounded more like a contented grumble. "Well, well, what do we have here?" Her eyes twinkled with humor that anyone close enough could see. Bobby saw his changes, even at a distance.
Spotting a bit of orange-red color out of the corner of her eye, the woman turned. Her mischief smile fell a little as she saw a new face. "I don't believe we've met," Bobby grinned warmly instead of offering a kind hoof that was currently occupied. "I'm Bobby."Alec had heard Nita approaching well before he saw her, as the usual case was. He turned his angular head and watched her come to stand nearby, kicking at the water with his rubbery feet. "Ay." He shortly greeted, leaning over to see what she'd brought in hopes that it was edible.
Before he could jokingly chastize the panda girl for not bringing him a snack, he heard the distinct snorting of a familiar person approaching. "Aaaay Bobbeh!" The teen called out warmly, giving a small but toothy smile. It was good to see the pig lady; besides, she was sure to have some food on hand."How've you been?" she asked, watching the water splashing. Nita heard Bobby coming; it was a bit hard to miss the snuffling noises and the woman's heavy footsteps. She turned, masking her sense of surprise at Bobby's... largeness. Her eyes flicked up and down momentarily, taking in her changes. Nita realized she was being rude and returned the grin. "Bobby? I'm Nita. Nice to meet you." She shook Bobby's hoof a bit awkwardly; however she immediately took a shine to the woman. The older woman's grin grew. "Nita, what a pleasure!" Bobby eyed the both of them, not even acknowleging the red panda's eyes taking in her massive disposition. She did know that it was a red panda she saw, and the changes looked cute. Nita reminded her of a precious, though large, teddy bear. She positioned strangely so she could rebalance after shaking Nita's paw with her hoof.
Eyeing the two, Bobby couldn't help but giving Alec a funny smile, "Well, I brought some food, but I don't know how long it'll last. If you both want to join me I'd be happy for the company." She eyed the shark, "I don't know how much to your taste they may be up to, though."Alec wtached the introductions between the two, bracing his arm on an edge of the trunk so he could balance his twisted torso properly. As Bobby offered he visibly brightened further, always knowing that the piglady would be kind enough to share her snacks. "Don' 'afteh ask me twice." He snorted a chuckle and slid off the stump into the shallow shore with a light splash, only to peer over at her horded edibles.
"Well 'ave been alrigh'." He calmly replied to Nita's question that had been almost lost with the arrival of Bobby. "Hangin' 'round th' swamp." Aware that his comment made him sound and feel like a geniune bog monster from his childhood fairytales, he ignored the analogy and continued. "'ow've ye ladies fair'd?"Nita was a bit hungry, since bamboo wasn't exactly prevalent amongst the tropical flora. With a shrug, Nita stepped away from the water and settled herself on a bit of dry grass. "Uh, sure, I'll have a little something," she said, wondering what all Bobby had with her. Nita set her book down, careful to keep it out of Alec's dripping range. "I've been okay. Was reading and stuff out in the jungle this morning and afternoon." Bobby sat down by Nita, taking up lots of room, and but her selections on the ground. With the precision of a mother, she organized the foods into their types. Mostly, there were the nuts, mushrooms, berries, and small wild fruits. "Help yourselves, I can easily find more." So, they were a bit raw in their expanse, but tasty nonetheless.
"I've been good," Bobby sighed. "Mostly just been around and enjoying the simple things on this Island. I am getting better at sniffing out the foods of the forest... though, I had intended to bring my sacks today." The woman looked around, wondering what had inspired her to come out today.Alec poked through the offered snacks, not wanting to turn up his nose to any of it although his hopes of finding at least some beef jerky had been promptly shot down. Then again from what he could recall, pigs shouldn't really eat beef anyways. He certainly couldn't expect her to eat bacon either. Picking out some berries and a few random nuts, he popped them into his mouth and chewed them awkwardly into a mush that resembled some sort of trail mix. "S'good." He commented quietly in thanks.
"S'been nice n' quie' recently, ay? A'm glad neh ruccus 'as been realleh goin down." The sharkboy glanced out at the lake and suddenly hoped he hadn't made an inaccurate observation. It was possible he'd missed things going on since he'd pretty much been in seclusion the past few days, save for the occasional visitor.Nita selected some of the nuts and fruit, avoiding the mushrooms with a brief wrinkling of her nose. "I had some of these earlier," she told Bobby, indicating some of the brightly-colored berries. "They were growing by the tree I was hanging out in." She grinned. "Mostly pretty quiet," Nita agreed. "Except I keep running into new people." The red panda girl made a face, the very tip of her tail twitching slightly. "That's always fun," she said drily. Bobby noticed the small looks of displeasure on both faces at specific types of snacks she brought. The woman smiled and seemed to roll her eyes emphatically as if they were whining children. "Well, you don't have to like /all/ of them you know. I'll eat whatever's left over," she chuckled and grabbed a handfull of the untouched mushrooms. They were one of her favorite foods recently.
"As far as I know, it's been quiet. But, I don't know a large number of people here." Bobby added some berries to the mushrooms in her mouth. "Of course, I am sure some people's personal lives can get pretty entertaining around here," she winked as if she knew some of the gossip. Of course, she didn't; but the hope was maybe one of them would.Alec shook his head at Bobby, picking out some more berries and nuts, even throwing in a few mushrooms. At this point he'd eat anything. "Girls n' gossip." He snorted, poking fun at the fact that he was surrounded by them at the moment. He could never figure out what was so great about spreading rumors anyways.
"Ahhh, break'n in th'youngins." The teen sighed at Nita's disdainful comment, both amused and annoyed as well. He hated having to explain the 'story' and trying to convince people, thankful he'd only had to a couple of times to date. With his new looks, he couldn't tell if it'd be more or less difficult of a chore.Nita snickered, her mouth full of some rather tasty nuts. Although they could use some salt, she decided. "Hmm," she muttered. "I seem to have to do that whole explaining bit an awful lot." Of course, telling people the truth, as well as trying to reassure them, was actually a bit of a good thing. Not that she particularly enjoyed it, but it was close enough to fulfilling her promise to Moreau. People really could be happy on the island, if they'd let themselves be. "Other than that, though, I read a lot," she tilted her chin at the book setting next to her, "And watch movies. Along with general wandering." Bobby seemed to tsk, for it seemed these two did not have a great deal of gossip to indulge her with. Oh well, the company was still better than previously -which was none. For awhile, the woman just reveled in the fact that she was spending time with people. She was contented.
"What kind of books do you read, Nita?" she asked, looking over her hooves that were trying to lodge as much food in her mouth as physically possible."Books a' borin'." Alec piped up to add his rather negative comment to the bunch. The teen seemed to had had his fill of the snack, seeing as he now was seen leaning back to balance percariously on the lowest fin on his back. He apparently couldn't see the enjoyment in enjoying something that wasn't real. Books could very well be made of lies and he'd rather put his time into something tangible.
Like drumming or swimming.Nita rolled her eyes at Alec and tossed a mushroom at his head. Hiding a grin, she turned back to Bobby. "As much as you might think this place would completely turn me off of science fiction and fantasy, that's mostly what I read. I've been through all of what I brought from home, though, and most of what's in the entertainment room." She leaned back on her elbows, idly reaching for a handful of berries. Bobby stuck her tongue out at Alec, "They're only boring if you don't understand them." She had had that conversation many many times.
The mushroom flew, "Aww.... maybe I wanted to /eat/ that!"
Turning to Nita, she smiled gently, "I'd understand that, but there are many more sci-fi and fantasy books out there than just having to do with advanced things like... this." Bobby honestly had no idea what to call it.

Petition to Resize Doors (The Beach Bar pg. 21-22) Bobby :: Joshua :: Natsumi Bobby decided she would overcome that fear today... She had never before been afraid of water, but ever since that fateful day she was terrified of the ocean. The beach was a frightful place now.
When her hooves touched the sand, the pig glared at the unrelenting ground. Lifting her gaze, she saw the ocean; the waves innocently breaking and coming ashore. The woman snorted; she, Bobby Reynolds, knew its cruel jokes and would not be taken unawares ever again. She had a plan: to simply not go in. Ha!
After a bit of quiet grunts and shorts, Bobby decided just standing here was no good. She didn't want to sunbathe... but neither did she want the beach and ocean to win this battle. That left just one thing... the beach bar!
It took her longer to get there, for though she'd been there before, it had been awhile. After struggling to one of the stools, which creaked ominously underneath her, Bobby pulled over the Guinness that she had grabbed.
As the liquid burned down her throat, the pig let out a happy sigh. Oh, it had been awhile since she had a drink. Bobby thought about as she continued to glare at the ocean.Joshua had come to visiting the beach quite often since his change, preferring the large open space to the cramped feeling of being indoors. At least he couldn't hit his head on any door frames out here. He didn't have books with him this time, deciding just to go for a walk instead. He saw, not to far in the distance, some type of structure in the sand. He made his way towards it, curiosity getting the better of him, wondering what could be built on the beach. As he got closer, he noticed he wasn't the only one on the beach that day. A larger woman was sitting at the bar of the structure, someone he hadn't met before. He didn't like to drink often, so he decided to forgo helping himself to anything, instead stepping up to the bar to introduce himself to the woman. "Hello?" he spoke up timidly, hoping he wasn't interrupting her solitude. Bobby was staring intently at the waters and didn't even hear Josh come up. It wasn't until the man was directly in front of her that she noticed... and even then it was a shock to see anyone nearby. She had never been one for thing jumping out at her -though Josh was hardly 'jumping out'.
"AHH!" Bobby screamed in between squeals of surprise. She unbalanced on the stool by leaning back too much. Her Guinness spilled all over the taller man... and the woman was on her way to the ground.
The pig landed quite hard with a loud 'thump'. Gasping for breath, Bobby's eyes were blank as she tried to recall what exactly had just happened. Her heaving was obviously as she tried to force air in and out of her lungs.Joshua stumbled back quickly in surprise - but not quick enough, his shirt and pants now covered from the Guinness spilled on him. He may have been more upset had the woman not fallen off her seat and to the ground. "Are you alright?" he asked, quickly moving to her side to help her up. He was shocked to see her features, now that he was able to get a better look at her. He wasn't quite sure what she could be turning into, though... but it didn't seem like it was pleasant at all. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to startle you..." Joshua bent down and offered the woman his hands for her to take and help her stand back up. Natsumi had been strolling the beach alone, finding the sand on her newly changed feet to be calming in a way. She had found, with the webbing and changed size, she also didn't sink into the grains as she would have before... which was interesting in itself. It gave the beach a whole different texture, but other than that... she was there for her human side. She liked watchign the waves and hearing the general sounds that came with the shoreline... It was one thing she could appretiate about the island, and it gave her time to think without being curled up in an angst-ball in her bed.
She slowed to a stop as a loud noise caught her off guard, it wasn't close enough to startle her.. but still there to catch her attention. She moved a hand over her mouth in instinct, hoping the... big-boned woman was alright. Even though there was already a man there helping, she momentarily forgot her thinking time, and hurried over to help.
She got there quickly enough, a bonus to not sinking into sand as easily was that you could run on it better, moving to the oposite side of Josh, barely noticing him for the moment. "Are you alright?" her voice was still heavily accented with Japanese, also slower and more pronounced. However it was understandable, and much better than when she had first arrived.Bobby blinked up to Josh, her eyes clearing but not with recognition. "Umm..." the woman started to reach to the man to get up, still clearing her head from the little stars of pain that appeared from the movement. She paused, trying to catch her breath and strength when another strange arrived.
"I... think I am..." this time Bobby put her hoof in Josh's hand and stood up, albeit shakily. She hadn't been this bad on her new feet since her very first changes. Rubbing her other hoof over her enlarged rump, Bobby sighed sadly, "That is definately going to bruise in the morning... if it hadn't already."
With a grunt and forlorn look at the stool she had just fallen from, Bobby turned to the new arrivals. "Oh, I am Bobby," she offered the hoof that had not rubbed her bum almost sheepishly, as if she thought it rude to not offer her name firstHe helped the woman get back to her feet, letting go once he was sure she wouldn't fall back over again. "I'm really sorry," he apologized again, "I didn't mean to scare you like that." He glanced at the other girl that approached them. Another one he couldn't tell the animal they were turning into, but still obviously changed from human. And Asian, judging by her accent. "It's nice to meet you, Bobby... my name is Joshua," he said, shaking the woman's hand - hoof. She smiled in releif when she said she was okay. Or atleast thought she was, and she was standing so that was a good sign. She couldn't help but mentally note the other's changes, such as the.. nine? breasts she had. Nor could she miss just how long Josh's arms were. However, she tried to pay them no mind... She thought herself worse than them, after all. One was one's own worst critic.
"Aa." She squeaked when bobby introduced herself. Giving a tiny half-bow in return. "I am Natsumi Tanaka. It is a pleasure to meet you." She gave another bow to Josh as she picked up his name, even if it wasn't directed to her. She went to take the next turn in shaking the woman's hand, however when she went to take it in hers she found herself met with a problem. Her thumb was webbed to her hand in a way that she couldn't actually put her hand into the position. Glancing down at the problem-thumb she gave a soft noise, like a choked nervious laugh. Then moving her thumb to her hand's side and simply shaking without an oposable thumb. There, that worked... She would have offered her hand to Josh as well, but after that she simply tried to fold them infront of her stomach, still unused to her change.Bobby nodded to Josh as well as shook his hand in greeting. When Natsumi tried, the woman smiled encouragingly. Her bottom fangs may have been alittle menacing but the pig didn't really notice anymore. She had gotten used to them, and her sensitivety to such things were deminishing.
"It's alright," the woman waved off Josh with a smile and then went to the back to grab another Guinness, "it's good to be surprised every now and then..." Bobby paused, kicking herself with where that conversation could not intentionally lead. She was also a little intrigued as to her alcohol tolerance in this new body; for she never tested it. "Did either of you want something?""It's nice to meet you too, Natsumi," Joshua smiled at the other girl's politeness. He tried his best not to be rude and stare at both women's unnatural features, sitting down at the bar. "Ah, no thank you... I'm not much of a drinker. The way things are going, though, that will probably change in the future," he smiled a little. "Thank you for offering, though." "So... when did both of you arrive here?" he asked, glancing between the two women. It was hard to tell judging on their appearances how long they have been around, as everyone seemed to change at different rates. He just hoped his were slow... very slow. She relaxed some when Joshua seemed fine with not shaking her hand, ignoring whatever stares she would get, she'd stared enough at the others in her time on the island... It was simply her turn now. She followed his example of grabbing a seat, smile widening when she finally sat. She hadn't realized just how long she'd been on her beach stroll, and as her pregnancy had progressed she found it harder and harder to stand for long periods of time. On that subject, she found herself shifting her sweater, the object was nearly useless in hiding her swell now... Though it was still better than any coverage a normal shirt would provide.
She blinked at the offer of a drink, the set-up was fairly easily reconized as a place to drink, and that thought was only confirmed at the man's decline. Which lead the young girl on a rush of thoughts... In Japan, she would have been old enough to have a drink. But in America, she had heard there was longer... atop of that there was the baby, hadn't that magazine warned her on drinking? "I... I can not." she blurted out, offering a nervious smile. The anxiety of someone finding out she was pregnant hitting her once again, even if no one had cared before. "I got here in may." she nodded, snatching up something else to speak about before someone inquired about why she couldn't drink.Bobby shrugged as both decided against alcohol. She was about to walk back around when she grabbed another for good measure. That meant not as much getting on and off those drasted stools! "I've been here since March... though I am not sure what month it is..."
The pig made her way back around, squeezing through the door-gap and back to her stool. "Why can't you, Natsum-" it was then she noticed the swelled belly. Being at her previous height on the ground, and then the hand shakes, the woman had totally missed it before.
Usually, Bobby was not one to stare, but at the sight, she could not do anything but. Both Guinness's fell to the ground and crashed as her grip on them faltered. They went unnoticed. "What..." she whispered, praying to any god that would listen that the woman wasn't pregnant, "what are you turning into?" Hopefully, the extra space was just part of her transformation."Well, it's August now... so around six months, it seems. I've been here since May." It was hard to believe he'd been here so long. Time seemed to have gone by quickly, all things considered. Four months, and he still wasn't used to everything here. He didn't think it would ever get easier. Lost in his own thoughts for a moment, he was startled to hear the crash of the bottles Bobby had dropped. He wondered if it was just because her hooves made things harder to hold (considering his now damp clothes that smelled of alcohol), but looking at her expression, the reason seemed to be different. Joshua looked at Natsumi too, wondering what Bobby could be staring at. Being male and having never experienced being pregnant (obviously), it wasn't something that even crossed his mind at all. Natsumi had simply been listning to the bits of conversation before the noise of crashing liquid caused her to jump. Her last change had made her much more skittish, something in the back of her mind wanted her to hide under something or go dig in the sand but it was ignored for the moment. "Because.. I am not old." there was a momentary pause as her brain tried to place what was missing in that sentance. "Enough." She quickly added with a smile. So it was half a lie, but it worked... Atleast until someone interjected with 'who cares we're all turning into animals.'
She shifted closer to the bar, feeling suddenlyl nervious at the stare. It was easy enough to notice.. and that was the look she always got when people found out. "I am not sure but... A lizard, I think? I have not asked yet." She swallowed, getting a light blush that was unnoticable since her face was already lightly reddened. "What about you?" Her tail twitched from it's position hanging off the stool. Atleast it was conversation... and conversation away from anything about her. Bobby's mind seemed one-sided at that moment. A lizard? They wouldn't have a transformation bump, would they? She doubted it. Horror, and absolute sadness took over her look of shock as the pig lifted her glistening eyes to Natsumi's. "I'm so sorry," she whispered, tearing her gaze... the stool all of a sudden looked incredibly interesting. Being a mother of three, she couldn't imagine what Natsumi would be going through. When that child was born... who knew what kind of malformations it would have... Like Natsumi, she all of a sudden didn't want to think about it.
Plastering a half-hearted smile on her face, Bobby looked up and changed the look on her face to a lopsided grin. "I'm turning into a pig," she snorted with no ounce of humor evident in her voice. The woman always thought it was a cruel joke, over and above that she was turning into an animal at all.
She took a step forward, and her hooves crunched broken glass. Bobby looked down, surprised at what she saw. Oh yeah.. she had dropped them because... the pig needed a drink, badly!
Going /back/ around the counter she grabbed a bottle and opened it right there. The bottle was empty before she knew it, and Bobby grabbed another to take to her stool.
She made it this time and struggled once again to sit on it. Her eyes sparkled, some of the moisture still there from before. "Time does seem to fly.... but then again, I feel like it's been a lifetime I've been here. Sometimes..." Bobby sighed, a piggish grunt escaping her throat as well. The pig winced at the sound, as if it phyisically hurt. "Sometimes, I forget what my family's faces even looked like..."Joshua couldn't shake the feeling as if he had missed something along the way of the current conversation, but he shook the feeling off. A lizard and a pig... still, Joshua couldn't decide if he was better off or not. If he was one of the 'lucky ones.' Certainly people like Nita and Colche had it a little easier - all things considered, at any rate. They would just grow fur and a tail, plus some alterations to their face... they wouldn't have to gain so much height, or weight, or have their skin completely change. He felt bad for Bobby, noticing she was upset just talking about losing her family. He was sure, of course, others on the island had to leave their families behind as well. He supposed in that way he was lucky; all he had was his father who had moved away a while ago, and a daughter he never got to see anyway. "I think we all were forced to leave people we love behind... I've been trying as much as I can to find things to distract myself, and to take my mind off of what is happening here. It's not easy, though... but it's all I can do in hopes that I won't go crazy," he admitted. Natsumi flinched at the eye lock, immediatly darting her silver eyes away from the pig-woman with a light frown. She knew, apparently.. and by the sound of her voice she was thinking some of the same things Natsumi'd been pondering. Not to mention it only brought back that unnerved feeling she'd been keeping down. It just.. felt wrong. Which drew her into a silence as her eyes tried to fill with tears again. She hardly knew why... Deciding it was probably just everything building up again.
Her attention was brought back at the mention of Bobby's family. Finding that sad as well, she fidgeted. Depressing thoughts welled up in her mind, ones she'd been desperatly avoiding. Thoughts of her friend's changes, her old family.. her new family. She flinched a bit, shifting her position to look away from teh bar and back out to the ocean. "It is pretty is it not?" her voice was a bit tight as she whipped out the subject change. "The water..." she gestured with a webbed hand, tail twitching.Bobby sighed long and hard. "You cannot dwell on things too much, you're right. I guess luckily the pig is easily contented, which helps. I wake up every morning to the picture of my husband and children, but instead of always being down, I try to be strong for them." The woman smiled harshly, thinking about her previous occupation where she had to be strong...or destroyed.
Her heart almost lept to her throat at Natsumi's look. She wanted so badly to wrap her arms -though grotesque as they were- around the woman... but she was worried how the lizard would take it so decided against such actions.
Looking over to the water, Bobby shuddered, remembering her almost-drowned experience with an iguana-girl and shark-boy. "Oh yeah... it's pretty until it tries to kill you!" She gaze a sideways glance to Natsumi, half joking, "Don't let it fool you, that water is a strict taskmaster that gives no quarter."Joshua smiled at the subject change, glad to be talking about something else other than depressing thoughts. "Yes, it is very beautiful. At least this place has nice scenery..." he had to admit at least that. Although they were trapped here, they weren't locked in cells. He raised an eyebrow at the pig woman, curious. "Tried to kill you? Did you have an unfortunate encounter with the ocean?" She allowed herself to stare out at the blue colors of the ocean a moment more, tryign to calm her mind and distract her thoughts before she got all emotional. Then Bobby spoke, jerking her head around to stare at the pig-woman. Kill? She personally had never been swimming in the ocean... Was it really that bad? Her continuation confused the forien teenager, lacking the word taskmaster... and why would the water give you currecny? Ignoring that for the time being, she nodded to Josh's question, wondering the same... and also wondering how it could kill someone. She had wanted to swim in it at some point... However dieing wasn't on her to-do list. Bobby was torn between yelling and grumbling. She chose in between for the sake of those she just met. It wasn't their fault. "Unfortunate, I'd say... I used to swim all the time, and in the ocean just fine. Evidentally," she gave a dramatic pause, "this body doesn't float too well... I'd think the extra fat would allow for better buoyancy... but that might be with no waves involved."
She ended it with a large gulp of her guinness.Joshua suddenly felt uncomfortable. He knew better than to make comments or opinions on a woman's weight. He cleared his throat, feeling awkward. "Ah, I see... I'm sorry to hear that... well, I know it's hard to adjust to to dramatic changes that we're all being forced to deal with. I'm still not used to my height, I feel like everything is suddenly too small." He figured Bobby must feel the same way, although not because of her height. He looked at the younger girl, smiling. "So how have you been handling your changes..? I hope they're not too difficult to get used to. Miss Natsumi, right?" Natsumi also knew the general idea to stay away froma woman's weight, though it was perhaps a tad les son her because she was a woman herself.. The only things she could say was how slim that made someone look, or how they weren't fat. However, she wasn't about to bring herself to say either about Bobby... So she simply nodded in understanding, and became thankful when Joshua spoke so she didn't have to.
She found herself lucky she didn't have to deal with not fitting through doors, or needing to sit in water, or having one leg shorter than the other. She smiled some as Josh's question reached her. He was polite, it was refreshing in a way... Even if she had't met anyone she'd consider rude just yet... Except Taro. He'd called her fat. Ignoring that for the moment... "I have been doing well. Colder... And... My food has been a bit different." She fidgeted some at admitting the last part... Though she was steadily becoming more and more okay with eating bugs thanks to Newton, the idea still turned her stomach. She went to nerviously brush a strand of hair behind an ear, only to find nothing. Flinching some she quickly returned her hand back to her lap trying to avoid fussing with her hair anymore. "I can not complain though."Bobby was completely able to understand Josh's predicament. She almost immediately pounced on the topic. "I don't think it's you... it's those doors! I am sure they come while we sleep and make them smaller... or shorter," she added the last bit for his special circumstances.
Thankfully, bugs did not appeal to the pig.... though... some other things were disturbing. Bobby took another sip from her bottle. The drink wasn't affecting her yet, but the action alone helped keep her nerves calm."Oh, I think we all have a right to complain," Joshua smiled at Natsumi. "You know, I think it's perfectly reasonable to request the doors be made bigger... after all, it's not like we are here by choice. They should at least make us comfortable as possible, right? I noticed there are new taller duplexes... I'm going to request to be moved there. I'm hoping I won't get any taller, but who knows with turning into a giraffe..." She smiled back, a bit releived to hear that from someone she thought looked much worse off than herself. She nodded to what he said, even though she had no reason to change her door... She atleast had a heater to keep her warm when she was cold, and thus figured they should have the right to wider and taller doors. But she kept her thoughts to herself, not too sure how to say it right she simply let it go as she watched the water move up and down against the shoreline. Raising her bottle, Bobby nodded, "Here, here! I couldn't have said it better!" The drink wasn't getting to her, but just the setting alone was kind of helping her mood.
"A giraffe?" she eyed Josh, then saw the changes, "Oh, I see! I didn't get that one at first..."
It was at that time that the pig's stomach growled quite insistantly. Holding it with her free hand, a pair of boobs in the way which made Bobby grumble angrily about those; she sighed sheepishly. "I'm sorry... nature calls and I didn't bring in the reserves." Finishing her bottle, Bobby set it on the counter... the only one to survive the encounter. "I hope to see you both around," the pig slid off the stool and then limped a few steps. Obviously, that fall had hurt her more than she let on.
Turning back, Bobby waved a hoof, "I'll see you two around, okay?" Then, she disappeared in search of the cafeteria, snorting through the area to find any snacks along the way. It was all hurried, for the pig was getting hungry."Well, it was nice to meet you, Bobby... I'm sure we'll run into each other again sometime," he said, watching the pig woman leave before he turned his attention back to Natsumi. "I think on that note, I should get going too... surprisingly enough I still have appointments to keep, despite being stranded on a tropical island." Joshua stood up, being careful not to hit his head on anything. "Take care, Miss Natsumi, I'm sure I'll see you around as well," he smiled at the girl before leaving the bar, heading back towards the duplexes. "Yes." Natsumi nodded with a smile, hoping to see Bobby around later as well. Meeting new people always put her in a good spirit... Even if she frowned some upon noticing Bobby's mild limp.
She turned back to Joshua as he spoke, "Alright." She offered a smile, sliding off the stool as well, only to turn back and have to pull the rest of her tail off of it. She wasn't ready to start moving it with her mind yet... She hadn't quite accepted it being part of her, and thus chose to move it as though it were just another article of clothing. "Yes." She nodded, smile returning as she gave him a wave, and watched him go, deciding to head back out along the beach until the cooler night air started in and she'd have to retreat to the warmth of her duplex.
