Ember was stunned by the sudden attack and just when she thought she was going to die he released her. She quickly jumped up and her hackles raised up a little, just in case they would attack her again. Suddenly more came and she became threatened, Don't attack Ember, calm down don't let it get to you. She thought, Just tell the your name, and maybe they'll calm down. "My name is Ember, I only attacked because I thought that he was going to attack me..." Calming down and letting the blood again cover her fur so she was red. "...Plus I don't like others sneaking up on me." Looking straight where Frostridge is with narrow eyes. "And I would put that dagger down if I were you. I'm also quite sure you want to know how I know that you guys are there." Ember sat down. "I could sense the blood flowing with in you, I hear it, smell it, and I can see it flowing with in you guys." Sighs. "I honestly never wanted a fight, but the way he was sneaking up on me it made me feel intimidated."

.:Subliminal:.

The distinct scent of hemo-goblin stained Canid disturbed Subliminals well-needed sleep. With the sharp aroma flustering into his nares, he jolted up on alert thus un-knowingly backing up further into the cavern; stepping on the unknown roomate, a porcupine. Yelping wildly, Subliminal limped out and turned toward the creature, proboscis well against the Porcupines nose; sniffing at it curiously whilst flicking the spines off from his hind."Strange creature aren't y-(you)" His words were cut off as the territorial life-sack pricked his maw. Shrieking but low enough to not be heard, his incisors overted posing the monster as a nuisance. Emitting a menacing bark it sent the Porcupine to scurry away.

.:Loki:.

The once crying fledgling chuckled lightly as his gaze settled on Subliminal. Slowly ushering his frangible frame closer toward the massive brute, Loki gently pawed at the Canid;climbing up onto his shoulder, curiously sniffing his cheek. Deeming Subliminal as a friend, his minature banner flailed with joy.

Kuro snarled and looked towards the female hidden with her blade ready. He shook his head as a signal to disengage. "No!" He said trying to communicate verbally to make sure the order was understood and looked around resting his eyes on those members present, lingering a bit longer on Jet seeing that she disobeyed his order. "There is no fight between kin." He refocused his attention. "Please accept mt apology for the false alarm. My name is Kuro." He walked around and stopped next to each the pack members to introduce them. "This is Jet, Crescent and Streak. There are six of us in all. We'd be willing to bring you back to camp if you wish to have a place to stay." He relaxed and awaited her response and kept a close eye on the members.

Crescent saw that the tension between his pack and the newcomer was gone, 'Well I'll be back at the camp if anyone needs me." He said turning and walking off, before he was out of range he began to sing. His voice was low, but loud enough for everyone to hear.

"Suffering fills the open sky
Battering down the pain inside
Memories hide the moonlight sky
Till the end of our days

Conquering lands and fallen heroes
Sanity torn we run on fearless
Victory sounds a thousand miles away

Into this world in wonder from a starlight sky
For a lifetime of freedom, and the legend is born
Once more unbroken, the price we will pay
On this march into fire, the heart of the storm

Endless destruction consuming our land
Legions of darkness destroy wolfkind
Storming the wasteland we now overcome
Vanquishing evil, insane we find

Rise of the slain, breaking the chains
Fight through the whirlwind of doom
Live for the day, conquer the pain
Under the light of the moon"

Crescent reached the camp and sat under the tree where the female had been watching Jet and himself converse. He expected Jet to sit by his side once the others returned so they could finish their conversation. Not that she had to sit by his side... he just thought she might like to continue conversing with him.

Bullet watched what she could see. Watching Crescent happy skip down the hill make Bullet feel better. The situation must of been dealt with then, she thought to herself. She glanced at Scarlett whom seemed quite content in the tree. Crescent was an unusually happy wolf, though he looked like no wolf she had ever seen before. "So what species are you Crescent? You look very different compared to any wolf I've run into." She quirked her head to the side as she spoke. There were so many strange wolves here. The one who couldn't speak defiantly won the contest though. Bullet hoped that the wolf would learn her natural language while she traveled with the pack.

Ember nodded to Kuro, "Thank you, I will do everything I can to help." She walked a little closer. "You must be the Alpha, you lead a strong and amazing pack. They care for each other well." She looks away solemnly. "I never had a pack like that, they always pushed me out, then when one tried to kill me I ran." She looks again at the sunset filled sky. "Blood and death always seemed to find a way to follow me."

(Okay so I have fixed my powers, and they should work a lot better now, and not cause a lot of commotion, which I am very sorry for. I didn't know I was crossing the line.)

Crescent looked to Bullet who was asking him a question about what species he was, "Oh. I'm half wolf half husky. I was originally born far away from here with my family, but I was taken away at a young age to here. I was thrown in pens with other dogs and such. Who were being trained to fight and all that. I got away, and now I'm here." He explained.

Crescent thought for a moment, "You remember those dogs I was talking about who were chasing me, those were the dogs that were with me in the pens. I escaped with my friend. We got separated. I'm wondering if you ever saw him walk by? He was an actual wolf. Yeah, they had wolves and dogs fighting each other. He had this weird thing around his neck that glowed. He had these things on his head? Humans wore them to block the sun from their vision. Just wondering... it's been a while since I seen him." Crescent said.

Bullet shook her head slowly, "no, Kuro is the first wolf I've seen in months. It's been along time sense I was last here." Bullet glanced at Scarlett again, "is that what you are too? A husskey wolf." The strange word tickled her throat as she tried to say it. Looking back to Crescent "maybe he will come by this way. Seems there is something drawing wolves here." Bullet hoped to find out what was going on, something must be calling to them, but what? With a sigh Bullet relaxed and laid back down, though she didn't remember sitting up.

Frostridge

Frostridge could not maintain her cloak anymore and she allowed it to sputter away, leaving her a pale white shape in the darkness as her temperature returned to normal, causing the wolves to notice her; her dagger still clenched in between her teeth, she eyed the bloodied female as the large black male talked. She watched in fascination the body language go between them; even with the words still unknown to her, she could figure out more of what was happening. The black one had urged her not to attack, though she still held herself ready.

Once more, some mutual agreement was met, and the tension relaxed. It amazed her who easily these creatures of her own race were so willing to resolve peacefully, without bloodshed...unlike humans...

She re sheathed her dagger as the newcomer was welcomed into the team, still slightly puzzled by all the events that had occurred. Still worn, her stomach was aching and she suddenly wondered how they could possibly feed so many mouths; there was no way they could all survive on the pitiful small creatures here...

Suddenly, she remembered the huge, slender-legged creatures she had seen before by the hidden lake with silvery green grass she had stumbled upon by accident- Their heads crowned in long, bony branches as they shuffled about nose down. She had been scared at the time, having fought an Altered one before that had nearly crushed her with its sharp front hooves, but never encountering a normal one...

Surely even one of those large creatures could feed them for a few days; and their had been a small herd-

But how could she communicate what she knew? She had to try, their survival might count on it-

She cautiously edged herself a fraction bit closer to where the Streaked one stood beside his brother. The other wolves had wandered back to rest under the trees, leaving the three behind. Frostridge felt somewhat more comfortable in the Streaked One's presence, as she did in the presence of the old human soldier she had known as Adams. A certain calm, assesive strength, unlike his more intimidating brother radiated from him.

Unsure of wolf customs, she merely stared at him intently, her eyes unblinking with urgency. When he caught her gaze, she froze, then hesitantly tried to speak. "...Tree-head...food." she grimaced, shook her head in frustration, and tried again. "Me, snowbird. Me food. Tree-head. Know. Follow?" the words fell clumsily from her tongue, slurred and undefined. She tried a human gesture, jerking her head in the direction where the lake was hidden, far back towards the edge of the wasteland, protected by sheer rocky cliffs. A hidden oasis...

Frostridge snarled in self frustration at her lack of ability to speak to her own race. With some sort of helpless anguish, she gazed into his eyes, praying he would understand.

Crescent nodded, "Ah. I guess maybe we'll cross paths with him in our travels, or like you said, he'll come to us." Crescent said looking around to see if he could spot any others at the camp who he hadn't talked to yet, the only one he saw was Scarlett. Crescent didn't like her. Oh no, she seemed sneaky. He'd need to keep an eye out for her. Crescent turned back to Bullet, "So, you have some sort of story as to why you camehere?" He asked.

Scarlett watched as the two talked. Her stomach rumbled quietly again. She looked up hill to the others. Doesn't seem like we will be getting any rest this night. Even though Bullet spoke to her Scarlett did not answer. She simply moved her head to look away from them. The silent wolf seemed to try and speak. Scarlett though of going up there, maybe helping the human wolf communicate. With a sigh Scarlett laid her head upon the branch that held her. Ears perked out, she listened and waited for them to move out. For now she would wait and gather her strength as the pack planned for the day.

The sudden touch of a puppish fore startled the brute. Peering over at the small Canid, he calmed knowing the pup was hardly worth his worry. Back stepping a tad, he bared his incisors in hopes to scare the fledgling away but all attempts seem to have failed when Loki had simply engaged in a play bow. "This is no place for a Pup, Kid.. Get." He barked roughly as he ushered his bulk back into the crevace.

Loki giggled lightly following Subliminal as if he were his tail. Not heeding Subliminals words, he coiled up against Subs flank, murring affectionately.

Aggravated by the Pups presence, Subliminal scruffed Loki and placed him outside the concaved birch. "I would wrather have you as a meal than dead weight to look after. Now i'm not going to ask you again.. Get going." Haulting in any further speech, the massive brute gave into his sentiment when the pups eyes began to water. Retaining the subtle growl he reluctantly spoke, "Just for tonight.. and you stay on that half of the shelt-(shelter).."

With Loki not seeming to grasp the demands made, he smiled once more and hid beneath Subliminals chest; balled up and almost immediatly fell asleep not giving the Dire any chance to respond.

"Gah.. So much for the quiet life.." He spoke aloud gazing down on a figurine that almost immediatly grown on him. Half smiling he shrugged it off and shielded Loki with his dome, keeping a watchful eye for intruders until he can figure a way to rid himself of the 'burden'. Contemplating, Sub thought solemnly, The wolves from earlier are probably my best bet.. Lets' just hope they aren't to far off in the morning..

Kuro gently nudged Embers side trying to brighten the mood. "We've all lost loved ones." He glanced at his brother and frost for a sec then back at ember. "You're among friends now. There is no need to fear anymore. We've only just begun to know each other and yet we all have a bond that connects us. Good or bad, we're a family and in this crazy world There's only few who you can trust. If not your kin then who..." He paused there and said no more. Lifting his head high, a swish of his tail signaled for her to follow him back to camp as he padded over and down the hill.

Streak's eyes widened at Frost's words, few yet understandable. He paused and thought for a minute and pieced together hollow meaning of individual words before seeking connections between two or more. Phrases began to form in his mind to discover her plea. He could see her getting a bit flustered so he gently nuzzled her neck to let her know it was ok and that he was beginning to understand. "Good, friend... I.... see.... what..... you.....mean...... " speaking slowly he hoped some of his words got through. Along with those words he gestured with nodding, understanding whines and lowered body posture allowing her to lead. It was easy to understand the cry of hunger and pain but unfortunately his tired mind couldn't quite come up with the answer for a tree head. regardless he'd know once he laid his eyes upon it.

Ember nodded her head thankfully. "Thank you Kuro, I will help in anyway I can with your clan." She looked at him quizzically when he had cut himself off mid-sentence and didn't continue. I wonder what he was going to say next, she thought. But following his orders she followed him over and down the hill back to the camp. She was afraid that she still wouldn't be accepted so easily...after all she did attack one of their pack mates, even though she didn't do any harm to him, just pulled him out of hiding. She smiled again to herself as she remembered his look of 'How did she find out?' on his face.
