[Entering] Julian rode in.... Like a freaking knight in shining armor. Only not really wearing much armor. And he certainly wasn't riding a white horse. But he did ride up, and he leaped from Alpha's back and drew his sword in one action. He grabbed Belladonna by the arm with his free hand and shoved her behind him, putting himself between her and not-Mort.
"Bella, this is really not the time for that," he said, not attacking not-Mort, but making damn sure that not-Mort wasn't going to hurt Belladonna anymore. He'd have to be blind to not notice there was probably something between them in the real world; while he still considered her a friend, they hadn't really hung out much since their first year and he'd been away at home for a good chunk of this one. He'd hate it if Lumi attacked him, he didn't want to know how Belladonna must be feeling.

At Nevena's answer, Sun turned to look up at the Tower. The Voice was in there, probably at the top. She felt an intense moment of curiosity and bitter resentment. Who was this Voice, really? Even after death, the answer had been unclear. Some fragment of the True King? A meddler, she thought, and wondered if she could be angry at what had given her existence. Would it have been better not to exist at all? Even if she was fake? Her thoughts were interrupted when Nevena moved.
Old habits die hard. When she saw to whom Nevena ran, Sun immediately followed. The words 'My King' died on her tongue, though. She was no longer of the Black Kingdom, Aymet had left her to die on the battlefield, and Sun also left that part of her there.
"Aymet." she said instead, looking up into face, wondering who he really was, and if the other Sun knew him.

She pressed through the throng of people, many she had never seen before and some she recognized. How many were there? Had they all died and been awoken as well? It seemed that some used to be from other kingdoms as well, yet she still could not find the one she was looking for.
Not willing to give up her search and ascend the tower just yet, Momo continued to look for her friend. She knew that Sig would not have made her way up the tower without her and she must be here somewhere. As she was about to turn around and make her way back again, Moriko finally spotted the girl a few feet off. Hurridly she pushed through the crowd, not caring who she shoved past as she shouted for the girl. "Sigrun!" She called out, trying to get her attention.

[Entering from Death Solo]
The newly minted silver walked through the fight, moving silently, hardly looking to the left of the right of him. His purple mohawk was combed down, pressing against his scalp and almost looking like regular hair. Only when the wind blew did it flutter, revealing the shaved sides. The silver eyes that had once been filled with anger or determination, or even joy, were silent and cold. He had a job to do--one that he neither dreaded or looked forward to.
His body was following the cry of the Voice, letting it lead him while his mind silently gave into the demands--and clung to an image that he had just seen. He was trying to understand how he felt about the man that had his name. Roch--he didn't even know what it was short for, he realized abruptly.
What was his full name?
He moved to the right, dodging a pair fighting, slipping past another pair talking--the mixture of emotions didn't even seem to register in Roch's mind, no, he moved through the grounds and headed for the stairs, drawn into his own personal world.
Why should he have to say goodbye? He hated that word. Who would he say goodbye to, if he did? Sharra--his biking buddy. He'd liked Sharra, he decided. Fox girl--the one that he talked to, who got distracted so easily. She had been his friend, he thought. Bix--well, he hadn't agreed with the guy much, but damn he'd been a good biker... Zephy, the one who he was pretty sure had been more scared of death than him...
But they were probably as fake as he was, he thought as he started up the stairs. Whatever happened to him--well, that'd happen to him, too. There was no reason to say goodbye if they were going to the same place right? Even if that place was... probably into nothingness.
But there was still the Captain, he thought.
He stopped, he turned. He lifted two fingers to his forehead, saluting the Captain and those he was going with. The word went unspoken, but he could hear it in his mind.
The king stood silent when he heard muffled footsteps approach him from behind, and he remained so for a small stretch of time after Belladonna's question. The grip on his arm was so strong, it felt, that it was surprising to have it wrenched away so quickly; Julian had arrived to defend her. In spite of Mort's own profession that chivalry was dead.
Mort turned to them, his expression forlorn. "It was supposed to keep you safe," he answered. "The greatest thing in Om, a secret, is not able to be forged or created from magic - but only kept and protected. I loved you too much to let others use you against me. But I see now that it was a mistake." He grew wistful. "Rather than keep you to myself, I should have shared, as is the nature of my kingdom. Then perhaps . . ." But it didn't matter now. None of it did.
All they wanted from him was his happiness and his life, and with everything else destroyed they were the only things he had left. The light from his sword was still glowing. He'd warned them, he'd said what would happen if they followed with murderous intent still.
The sword swung in a horizontal arc, and they'd recognize the green energy flying forth to buffet them back. He had to make an example if they did not believe him, even if it broke his own moral code. He had to kill. He had to survive. For it was not just his life in peril, but the lives of those under his banner.
If only he knew the truth.
"Your king grants mercy and lets you die as befits your post," he intoned as if reading from a script, his eyes lifting from the disappearing form of his champion to his moderator. This wasn't her, he told himself, and yet . . . There was still a guilt in making her watch someone die for her. But perhaps then she would cease this madness and leave him be.
No words were thrown at the Black King as he gave him a sidelong, hard glance. His actions were answer enough.

She was lagging behind, having lost valuable time in annoying the Fake Aymet with her overpowering Sun. Therefore Amrita was scrambling, running towards the tower and looking around for the large Black Shadow who had threatened her. Naturally it didn't take her long to spot him, and when she did she made a beeline for him, confident that she could at least approach him without being murdered.
She didn't say anything to the King, at least not yet. She just cropped up beside him, arms folded across her chest for the time being. It was something of a truce stance, not going to lash out at him but clearly not going to leave him alone.

He arrived not far behind the others, but far enough it seemed to miss the start of the action. His body was weak, his miasma low, a feeling he'd experienced once before but had understood it better as his thief self. As a zombie, he was not used to tiring, having strength to last him even once his Fear shield broke, having the tenacity to continue even then. This body was so very weak.
Still, he had ran after the others, had fought to keep up even though it had been difficult to do so. He had mentally willed himself to be able to move faster, to catch up to this fake King so that they could stop him.
As he entered the tower to it's base floor, all he saw was the sweep of a sword, a brilliant green light as it arced towards both Julian and Belladonna.
"NO!" He shouted, running forward, both daggers drawn and pumping at his sides with his fists. When he was near enough, he jumped forward, slashing with first one blade, and then the other before shoving himself back once more, shouting words at him the whole time.
"Stop hurting them! Stop hurting her! We're only trying to help you!" His voice was a growl. He was so sick of this. So tired of being pitted against over powered enemies that could crush him with a mere flick of the wrist. So tired of seeing his friends getting hurt.

Madison stared up at the tower. Her mana was gone, taken from her along with her allegiance to Gold. Kouki was gone, or perhaps he was a part of her now. There were others here, but she paid them no heed. Her search for meaning had to carry her upwards. She felt this instinctively.
The squabbles of false Kings did not matter now. She moved on.

When she had been alive and in Gold, Jay had only seen the cracks in the sky, but now as she returned garbed in plain clothes of the Silver Kingdom, she could truly see the crack for what it was—a tower. She had her own guesses as to what lay inside the towering structure, but then again she didn’t know if she wanted to step inside. This wasn’t where she wanted to be. Jay wanted to be with her previous kingdom, but most importantly she wanted to be with Senga. She was fake and he probably was too, but her feelings for him remained true. If he was here, he would squeeze her hand tight and tell her something to comfort her even if it was a lie.
But the call drew her toward the tower anyways. Her simple dress rustled slightly as she stepped toward it wordlessly.

The blow sent Julian back into Belladonna, pushing her until he fell to his knees, his sword clattering to the ground. Alpha howled once and then was gone, just another part of him in this world. He didn't think, how could he have not thought the act might be foolish, putting himself in front of his friend when he knew that the king would attack. He was disappearing, fading away. He didn't want to die, didn't want Death to come for him. He was a herald, he didn't want to meet his master yet.
And yet, as he started to fade, the pain went away. It was cold, numb, but at least it didn't hurt anymore. He just wished... He wished he'd tried harder, for his friends, for his future. He didn't want to go. His mouth moved slowly, he was almost gone. "I'm sorry... Lumi..." And then there was no more.

Sinclair saw the structure that led him to his death for what it really was: a tower, resplendent with every color of each kingdom, home to their creator and their reckoning -- the Voice. The lines drawn between kingdoms appeared to be erased: Sinclair saw nothing but silver as he walked inside.
All of them were fragments, shades of another world, just like him. Everyone knew what awaited them. He should feel fear, but he felt nothing but dull acceptance as he continued onward, this time of his own accord.
It took awhile for him to recognize Zephyros for what he had become until he had quite literally bumped into him. Sinclair smiled, small and with little feeling. One last chance to say his goodbyes.
Zephyros was much taller than he was, but Sinclair pulled him down by the ends of his brown shirt to drag his lips down to his level. And for a moment, the numbness broke, a spark of something stuttering in his heart.
Soon, none of this would matter, but Sinclair clung to Zephyros like he clung to the tenuous threads of his existence. Moments were all he had left.

"I refuse... to to be taken in by empty lies." Aymet lifted his hand from the wound, letting the black blood drip from his claws. It certainly didn't feel like a dream. Maybe a nightmare. "Have you even any proof of your world? If I am killed, how do you know your friend does not die with me?"
"Not you too..." His observation was muted at best. His once-paladin was not of his kingdom any more, that much was plain to see. All he had entrusted, given power, had descended into madness. Would they all betray him in the end?
"You never quit, do you?" he lamented the moment Amrita's voice reached his ears. "You're very much like her, you know. That's what makes it so revolting."

Sigrún whipped around immediately as she heard her name being called.
"Momo!" Sig shouted her eyes wide as multiple emotions raced through her mind. She began making her way to her friend as quickly as she could. It took her a few moments to shove past everyone without accidentally taking them out with her wings. At this point she had no desire to fight only to reach her friend.
Finally she reached Moriko and without thinking Sigrún embraced her friend in a fierce hug.
"You.....you were gone." Was all she could think to say.

Nevena made a violent, vexed sound at those words, openly rolling her eyes before she fixed them upon Amrita. She was still in one piece, then. Good. The gorgon would have never forgiven her if she'd squandered her chance to come to this place.
"I know because I said so." She snapped, haughtily tossing her head so that her hair hissed with irritation. "Don't ask stupid questions."
His words towards the Sun made her puff up a little, perhaps with pride. "Some can see sense. Don't begrudge them that!"
