She wanted to scold him for asking such a silly question (because that's how you imagine things, duhhh) but it would have ruined the mood. So instead she ignored it, and sat down on his lap, very carefully straddling him without putting her weight down (she didn't know how strong this chair was, after all..). Her arms wrapped around his shoulders. "Okays. Open them."
When he did, she gave him that smile. "Hallo. My name is Freya. I likes meats, shoppings, rock music, and pretty boils." Her tongue stuck out between her teeth cheekily, and she grins. "Is nice teh meets yeh."

He'd almost half expected a scolding but what he got instead was her perching upon his lap and telling him to open his eyes. As he did so he stared up at her and there was that blush crossing over his face as he stared at her, "Hey, my name is Kettil. I like makin' friends, doin' acrobatic stunts, and flirtin' with pretty ghouls."
"I think I'd have liked it a lot more if it had been like this in the first place," He admitted with a small laugh. Yet, if it had been like this from the very start their relationship might have started on a different note. The Freya back then was a different Freya than the one currently on his lap.
Kettil reached up and touched her cheek, "But I like how we came to be together in reality. I would never wish for anything else."

That blush. Freya's eyes slit just a little bit when she saw it, and victory shined defiantly within her eyes. That was what she wanted.
Well.
At least for now.
She leaned in and rested her head on his shoulder, curling up into his lap comfortably now that the game was over. While Kettil knew better and understood that it was better this way, Freya stubbornly wished that they had been together at first. So much pain would have been avoided.
Or would it have?
She thought, briefly, of Lark. The ghoul had still been in love with Kettil back then. Would he have eventually found out, and chosen Lark over her, when given the choice?
Her heart told her that the answer was a sad, sad little yes.
She rubbed her face against his neck, and hummed sadly. "Yehr right." She whispered, giving in to the truth. "This is how it was meant teh be."

Kettil didn't bother with the past too often. The idea of choosing between two ghouls that meant a lot to him was something of an absurd paradox that he was very sure would never occur. It had been made for him and thus taken out of his hands as far as he was concerned. The future as far as he was concerned, was for him and Freya.
The boil softly leaned his head against hers, "What's with the sad sounds, Lover?"
His arms wrapped around her as he simply held her. He liked the closeness for the moment and the feel of her warmth. It wasn't as if she was going away now and he seemed in no hurry to leave, either.

She clucked her tongue and snuggled into him, letting out a soft sigh before shaking her head. "Sorry, didn't mean teh ruin the moments. I thought, at first, that I wish yeh could have picked me out through the computer and made me yehrs the day yeh found me. But then I thought.. that.. maybe it wouldn't have ended up the way it did. And I guess.. if it means that, in the end I gets teh be with yeh, and yeh choose me over anyone else, then.." She didn't realize she had started to cry until that moment, as the tears stung hot in her eyes, and she smushed her face against him to keep the tears at bay. "I guess it was worth all the pain, if I gets teh keeps yeh."

Kettil held her a bit tighter and just sighed lightly, "Y'know? I didn't even think of that in those terms. You an' I... We were different back then, is what I was thinkin'." He quietly reached a hand to brush a thumb over her cheek.
"I don't think I woulda been strong enough for you if I was the same way I was back then. I needed a bit of time to mature still," Kettil pointed out quietly and smiled a bit. "Learn how to slow down a bit, yeah? I mean we weren't together right away but the journey to that point was a wonderful one. I mean if it would have been like this from day one? I'd have taken it, I won't lie. I still wouldn't trade this for the world, though."
His brow furrowed a bit, "As far as Lar and I ... I don't know what happened. It was sudden when it began and it just as suddenly seemed to end." It hurt talking about it and he didn't wish to talk about it in front of Freya in fear of harming her but perhaps it just needed to come out.
"She's still m'friend, thick-an-thin. I don't know what it woulda been like if she had shown me more plainly how she felt and if you were there at the same time doin' the same. I don't know if I coulda handled that sorta choice without hurtin' both of ya in one way or another," He admitted softly smiling a bit. "Don't upset yourself with an 'if' that never was Freya. What matters to me now is that I love you more in this moment than I did when I first started talkin' to you. I love you more each second that passes and you breathe or look at me..."

Different. Back then. She cringed at the thought. She was different. So different, in fact, that he wouldn't have wanted her. Everything he said, she was mirroring back onto herself. She had needed time to mature, too. But the pain, the agonizing suffering that went with it all..
She couldn't ignore it.
Freya's lips lifted just slightly when he talked of Lark. She was so proud of him for keeping her friendship in his heart. It wasn't easy - he had every right to hate her - but he didn't. He didn't, because he was Kettil. And Kettil was perfect.
And then his words turned soft and tender, and they lulled her back into the gentle ebb and flow of their love, as she floated within it. She breathed out, liberally, if only because he asked for it, and her fingers reached up to touch his lips gently.
"I feel the same way." He had such a way with words. She would never tire of hearing them.

He smiled a bit as he appeared to pick the right words to soothe her over once more. Sometimes it was easy and sometimes it wasn't. Kettil watched her as she breathed out more than usual and laughed a little.
"Good. So stop worrying over what could have been we should start thinkin' about what could be now and in our future," he said simply. "I mean its okay to remember it because that is what helped us grow but don't wallow over it. Don't let it have power over ya to make ya cry. Your face is far too beautiful for tears and frowns."

Freya picked her head up, looking into his eyes. Her own were wide, still glittering with unshed tears, and her expression had just a touch of shock, as if she still couldn't believe he actually thought she was beautiful. It settled in after a moment, and she sniffed, wiping the tears from her eyes with an errant hand. "Yes, dear." She murmured in a weak joking tone, making sure her face was dry before she looked at him again.
"So we thinks about what could be now." It was a solid plan. Now, she was here, in his house, meeting his family. In his old bedroom, sitting straddled on his lap. She could have thought about the future, and it would have made her content. But she thought about the present, because it was what she did best, and it made her feel something else entirely.
Her lips tilted up into a very, very, very slow smile.

Kettil gave her a smile and quietly fussed at her face with his own hand as well to wipe away tears. He would always fuss and fawn over her, it was simply who he was. This ghoul was his now and he would love her until he had no more life left within him, he was sure of it.
"Yes," he agreed softly and he watched the smile creep across her face and his eyes gave her a curious stare. "A seed for yer thoughts?"

A seed. For her thoughts.
Oh, the irony.
Freya snickered quietly, and bit her tongue, trying to keep her thoughts from guttering completely. She was failing, of course, but the effort deserved to be mentioned.
"I was just thinkings about what could be." She murmured quietly, her body shifting just enough to make a point. "Now."

Despite any earlier advances he had made past or present, he was trying to be a gentleman for the most part. At least enough of one to not just ravage her straight away upon entering the family threshold, but it seemed teenaged hormones had a different idea completely.
The way she snickered, moved her body, he knew that she thought of something completely different than how he meant it and a blush broke out over his face. He'd unintentionally said something perverse but on the other hand? It wasn't a terrible thing.
"..Why think about it when you can show me a bit of what could be? I learn better that way, y'know?" Kettil felt so warm all of the sudden. Was his bedroom always this warm?

Freya pursed her lips as she slid her hands down his stomach to his belt. "I'll show yeh more than a bit, little boil." She growled, flicking his belt.
"Sorry mama," She whispered as she bent in to press her lips against his. "Guess I can't helps with dinner, after all."
And then there was a fade out shh shhhh stop being voyeurs

Resume from where stuff happened. Use your imaginations.
Kettil took a moment to put himself back in order before he moved to sit on his bed with her. "Whenever you're ready," he announced with a grin.
Before Freya could announce if she was ready or not, somewhere down stairs a booming voice announced, "DINNER. KETTIL Y'BETTER COME DOWN HERE AND HUG YOUR DEAR OL' DAD AND INTRODUCE YOUR GHOULFRIEND INSTEAD OF FOOLING AROUND UP THERE."
Kettil was then affixed with the blush of shame.
It didn't help that somewhere there was an older woman cackling rather loudly with amusement.

Freya was comfortable. Comfortable, and lazy, and not at all wanting to move in any way, shape, or-
Her entire body tensed up at the scream, not because of the booming sound, but because of what he was saying. She stared up at Kettil, horrified at the mere idea that they might have heard what they were up to.
"Yeh don't think.." She pushed herself up and swung her legs over the side, her face the picture of embarrassment. A blush that matched Kettil's perfectly lit her face.
