The Orychanian's lips quirked faintly as Marosa approached, the Ganerie had seemed unsure that he was going to get an invite. Silly. Rubbing at his ear, he made a face at his friend, all but rolling his eyes in a meaningless scold that would bear no weight. "Things are getting more complicated..." He murmured, the words for his friend alone, leaning closer to keep their conversation betwixt the twosome. "I don't much like this." There was a certain flare of concern, for though the two of them bore the same ranking, Sharra was rather of the opinion that he would fare better should it come to all-out battle. His childhood friend wasn't precisely built for close quarters combat.

Green eyes probing at the newcomer, the weapon tech's lips had thinned into a grim, unhappy line. If the Silver Kingdom had fallen, the neutral kingdom, then that was a terrible portent for the coming days.

Ami blinked as Wilson approached her. Something akin to confidence shown on her face, but it was too subdued by a controlled thin-lipped smile. As he spoke fancy words, she gave a polite bow, out of respect.

When her head bobbed back up, her eyes met with a shiny orb, filled with Wilson's gas. She raised an eyebrow, but he didn't offer an explanation for it, so she didn't offer up a question. All Ami did was daintily take the orb and tie it to her belt, offering the commander a toothy smile. "Thank you, sir. I ah ... I will do my best not to disappoint you." She'd make no promises about doing her best indefinitely, or being successful. She'd just do her best to not do her worst. An oddly worded promise, but one nonetheless.

The message from Ami got to her just as Wilson began his speech. Unfortunately, she would have to answer this after.

Kat caught the item tossed to her with ease, cooing quietly over the light glow coming off the object. It was pretty, really pretty. This was for her? "Yes, si--commander!" Dropping to one knee, she bowed her head, holding the pendant close to her heart. "As long as I breath, my loyalty and service is yours." at the comment on the screen, she resisted the urge to groan. Well, that was likely 5 months pay gone. Oh well..

The symbol on her hand went unnoticed, thanks to the glove covering her palm, but she was likely to discover it later. Raising the pendant, Kat dropped her hood, slipping the pendant on over her head before pulling the hood back over her head.

With everything said and done, it was time to reply to Ami's message and find who this girl she was speaking of. Or at least that was the plan, until an uninvited 'guest' arrived.

"Huu..?" A citizen of the silver kingdom, was he? How interesting.

The commander narrowed his eyes at the news. The Silver Kingdom had fallen. He wanted to be sad, but he knew it was only the first of many that will collapse. Wilson could only hope that his city would not be part of the carnage, but chances were slim. Only one could survive, after all. He sighed, managing to keep his expression stoic as he pondered over this displaced denizen of the Silver Kingdom. “I offer you condolences for your fallen home, and you are more than welcome to stay here, even join us if you so desire.” He leaned forward slightly, his lips twisted into a hard frown. For the other crewmen, it was somewhat unusual to see the commander so serious and cold, but it was just the other leader-like facet of him leaking out. “I request only you do not harm my ship and the people within.”

Text to Ami: That's nice.

Still, Madeline dredged up some manner of conversational need and lifted herself to slink off in the direction of the newly promoted girl. She passed through the crowd with the languid grace of a cat, and nearly derailed her track when she caught sight of the dragon and her current flirt. But no - she'd slept with just as many people, and it wasn't like she had any claim on Dakota. Madeline eased the jealousy back into its corner with trained practice. If he wanted to sleep with new newly promoted lady-friend, he could. Because just as much as she liked the fire that the Livius man brought, she didn't think he realized that he was able to burn as well. A part of her sparked and retorted sardonically that she should just leave and cut up a few corpses to kick the engine back to life on her suddenly slumping prowess. But Ami came first.

Madeline settled next to the girl and glanced at her, hooking her thumbs in the cold metal and molded, slim build of her belt. "What's up?" She asked, frowning at Ami. "I'm about to go quarantine myself and clean up that corpse in the infirmary that I left in charge while I was gone professing my undying and misguided love to Captain Poisonous Tattooing Gas - " She waggled her brows at Ami, "unless you've got a better offer for me." However, the normal teasing nature was gone from her voice, and the words just seemed mechanical. Where was that wine again?

Marosa nodded. "Aye." Breathing out through his nose, the Ganerie's form grew taut as he glanced over the rest, eyeing the newcomers warily. "Be it true? Der kingdom really fall?" He murmured softly back, a reddish eyebrow arching. He reached up to pull his hair back behind his shoulders, breathing in deep.

It would be something, if the silver kingdom actually fell. But what did that mean for their own kingdom? They would have to be on their best guard.

"Oi dinnae tink dat oi'll be much use fer ye oot der." He gave Sharra a sad smile. "If oit comes down tae it, oi kin scrap well, but..." He trailed off, his golden eyes darkening with his thoughts.

Sharra nodded bleakly, "Seems like." He hoped he didn't sound as glum as he felt, concerning the latest revelation. The Voice had called for them, the Commander had said, and that meant that the downfall of the Silver kingdom was only the first to fall, the beginning of a vicious and unrelenting chain reaction that would likely shatter all of them. Stubbornly, he'd hold on for those he needed to protect. Heh. He'd always been there, especially for Marosa. As kids, they had held a common bond, the both of them misplaced from their home planets. One of his strongest loyalties lay therein, and he knew that the Ganerie would stand by him as well...but that fact in and of itself caused exceptional worry to blossom within the Orychanian's mind.

Reaching, he clasped the redhead's shoulder, giving the other a reassuring squeeze. "Don't worry. I'll be there too, a'right? We can back each other up." He was going to behave as though there weren't a shred of doubt in his mind, as though their victory was assured.

Because they had to win. Sharra would not see those he cared for fall around him, not while he still lived to defend them.

"Aye," The Ganerie agreed, raising both of his own arms and placing them on Sharra's shoulders, letting a smile cross his face. "We've allus been fien, and we'll turn oot tat way too, aye?" He stared at Sharra's face for a long moment before tilting his head, withdrawing.

"Oi'm gonna talk tae th' Cap'n." Giving a wave to Sharra, Marosa flitted his wings before heading to where Wilson was, clasping his hands behind his back.

"If'n ye got a moment, sir?"

It seemed the crewmen had begun to settle down. Wilson allowed his shoulders to relax. He eyed Sinclair out of the corner of his vision while he pulled out his PDA to message Elliot one more time, but immediately put the device away when he heard Marosa call out his name. “Is there a problem, officer?”

Ryan blinked, gingerly taking the object before holding it closer to his face. "Is this..?" He turned it over carefully, flipping one of the various switches and watched as it lit up. It was strange and yet, somehow it seemed almost--he wasn't quite sure what it was. It was his first time seeing something this peculiar. "Well, if you made it, it must be something worth holding onto." He gave a nod of his head. "Thank you, I will do whatever is in my power to see to the protection of this ship."

He returned to checking it over, carefully, when the green fumes reached him. For a moment, rather than show anger or alarm, he mentally chided himself for not turning on the filtering system in his mask. Then again, he hadn't thought he would need it.

The pain caused by it was intense, deadly and--

Gone. The pain vanished and their commander was back. Smiling at them as though nothing was wrong. In fact, nothing was. Nothing had changed--with the exception of one. A strange mark on the palm of his hand. Which, if he looked at his own, was present there as well.

"Well, this is more impressive than a team logo." He admitted. Again, the grin was there, but hidden. Or at least until Roch's words reached his ears.

"Think like that and you'll be doomed from the start. Those 'two destructive idiots' are going to be fighting with their all to defend you and everyone here, same as anyone else would. Quite frankly I would rather that destructive power be put to use where its going to help us best. Which is exactly where Wilson put them. Or.." He gave the mechanic a curious look. "do you not have faith in our commander?"

With the mechanic gone, Ryan turned his attention towards the intruder. Or rather, a refugee from the late silver kingdom.

The more Marosa thought about it, the more he realized that he didn't mind who the Captain picked.

"Nay, sir." The Ganerie produced a stack of reports and held them out for the Captain, a sheepish look on his face. "Oi'm sorreh we dinnae tell ye what we were fixin', but all th'reports are there." He took in a breath. "If'n ye like, oi'm good at reconnaissance work. Oi can attempt tae get any infermation by sneakin' in, or just actin'."

The Ganerie paused for a moment, lips pursing thoughtfully.

"Oi dinnae tink it would be a ba' idea tae mingle, mayhaps oi ken act th' lost sheep, bein' as th' silver kingdom fell."

"Yes, it's... gone. I don't rightly know how it happened -- it was so sudden. One moment, everything was as it should be, and then the next..."

Sinclair stifled a shudder, but he tossed another grateful smile at the feathered man and the white-haired nurse -- he really ought to learn their names -- for their continued concern. At least one of them thought to introduce himself, as uncomfortable as he seemed... Marosa, he called himself. He filed the name away, thinking of it as another valuable piece of information out of habit, and readied himself the memorize the others.

The next man who addressed him was different. He carried himself with the sort of aloof gravitas befitting a leader. This must be Commander Wilson; Sinclair had heard about him from other informants returning from the White Kingdom, and descriptions of him often included the words "firm, but kind".

Indeed, he saw that now. Sinclair bowed his head respectfully. "Thank you for your hospitality, sir. With all due respect, I aim to maintain the Silver Kingdom's policy of neutrality. I will do nothing to harm or hinder your fine ship and its people." He smiled sadly. "I'd planned to visit this kingdom under more dignified circumstances, but as unfortunate as they are now, I still consider the chance to meet all of you a pleasure. Another time, I shall properly make your acquaintance, but I'm afraid..." Turning to the nurse who tended to him, Sinclair's expression became almost sheepish. "I'm afraid I must take you up on your offer immediately."

Glancing up at the feathered man who still supported his weight, Sinclair's smooth voice (internally, he applauded himself for keeping it from hitching even more pathetically during his speech) took on an imploring tone. "Would you mind escorting me? I feel rather faint..."

Zephyros softly lifts up Sinclair into a more comfortable position. His eyes glance over everyone conversing and placing more attention onto the wounded man. He coughs slightly in ensnarement as he realizes that he hasn't introduced himself. "Ah yes.. I wouldn't mind. My name is Zephyros by the way..."

He grunts softly and helps the other move forward, perhaps it would be good if the man lays down. "I don't know how long I have to help you, but I will do as best as I can... even if I am not a nurse, I can still help."

Lumikki still riding along finally decided it would be safe to talk.

"hey uhm Roch? You uh...ok?"

Sure smart question to ask the ticked off pirate but she felt like something could be said other than I'd love a pretty urn.

Roch jerked, startled out of his irritation as he realized he had pretty much kidnapped the little healer. "I ah--" he said as they headed into the elevator shaft. It took a bit of squirming to get the wall inside and not hit her, but he managed. "I ain't trusted on this ship," he said quietly. "I haven't been in the three or so years I've been workin' here. I should have found a different one--but I liked the captain."

He bumped into the button, sending the elevator down. "I liked the captain, I didn't have t'do... a lot of the dirty stuff I was raised doin', I'd gone legit. I was so bleedin' proud of myself for goin' legit. Doin' the right things." He snorted.

"But I guess I'll never be anything but a pirate to the rest of them. Because I can't think like them. I can't blindly go 'yes I'll follow y'into hell an' back just because you got a toy and a title,'" he said. "Not when nothin' they've shown me proves that they're worth followin' there. I've almost died before," he said off-handedly. "I'd rather not do it again."
