She had the padd ready, as she'd dismissed Jessie. She'd been there too long anyway.

((That I did. It's an interesting concept although I do have to admit I've never had that big a fancy with the whole UEF Marines thing. They simply seem untouchable, and that just doesn't feel conducive to any sense of thrill to add spice to an RP. As I said though, the concept is neat. I'm curious what others will say too))
He raised an eyebrow a bit at the doctor as she asked for his name again. He got why, she hadn't been writing a moment ago, but it was still odd, even as a man went past him into the elevator and a girl he had seen there when they'd initially arrived left as well.
"I just said my name, but you need to write it down, alright. Gavin Napier, born the 17'th of September, 1993. Only allergies I ever found was a minor skin allergy to nickel and allergies to sulfa drugs.
Maybe he was kind of young, but unfortunately age sort of stopped mattering when as far as you knew only the people immediately around you were even the only ones left alive on the entire planet or not. Carry your weight and you were just as equal as anyone else in the camp.

((That RP takes place hundreds of years before this one. They ain't untouchable. The Iolan Rebellians cost thousands of lives. The GIBAS then was a lot weaker than the GIBAS the Marines on the Unity wear. No shielding and weaker armor. She added the information.

"I'm sure it must have been, the ship doesn't seem in the best of shape and everyone seems a little ragged around the edges."
That was perfectly normal on the surface, being run ragged around the edges, but it wasn't expected here, so it stood out again.
"Me? No, never felt like sucking on one of those cancer sticks. I'm impressed with the few who still do, however they managed to find those cigarettes."

I got the Squad Leader [me], Heavy Gunner [reserved], Medic, Radio Guy [RTO], and two riflemen. Sadenes smiled.
"I like your thought process, dearie."
She entered the last bit, then set the padd down.
"Are there any other health concerns you wish to be brought up to me?"

((As you said before, him not being a character, which is good because he really does personify the untouchable aspect I was just talking about. He can show up without bothering me, and presumably without bothering anyone else, so long as nothing really happens to make him flaunt his total power over everything XD))
Gavin chuckled at Dr. Sadines smile and comment on his description of smoking, glad he could amuse her with his little phrasing.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it. As for concerns, I started noticing an increased sensitivity to pain a while ago in the wastes. Without any real symptoms besides that that I noticed and too few supplies on hand as it was, I decided to ignore it because others were worse off. I don't know the state of your supplies, but if... Since I'm going to be here a while, you should know."
He had seated himself at the edge of either a nearby chair or, lacking that, just leaning against an empty bed, as he talked about that sensitivity he'd started getting. Not really conducive to him wanting to deal with getting recently scabbed cuts reopened and scrubbed out, but, necessary pains and all. He'd never informed any of the three medical people in camp because he didn't need to distract them from the man with the budding blood infection or the woman with the cracked ribs or whatever major medical problem they were dealing with that particular day. He just had sensitivity, they were in actual trouble. And it would be just his luck that whatever they used to try to treat him would be just enough to cause problems elsewhere.

Sadenes grabbed a scanning device, similar to the one the Marine had used on the planet.
"Hold on, dear."
SHe scanned him, a frown crossing her face.
"You've got the signs of advanced radiation poisoning. But no worries, we can fix you up, good as new."

Since she grabbed something either similar to or exactly the same as the ones the Marines had been using before, and asked him to hold on, he stayed where he was, watching as she used the scanner. When she said he had signs of advanced radiation poisoning he just sort of sighed. It was kind of a thing, surviving out there, just not dying of radiation was hard enough. He wasn't really surprised he had gotten radiation poisoning out there. He was waiting for her to add the next sentence of how long she expected he'd still be up, only to get hit in the face by a proverbial brick when she said she could fix him up like it was nothing. Fixing AIDS was impressive but that hadn't really connected to fixing up the type and extent of damage from radiation, especially not an advanced case like he apparently had.
"Really? I mean, I'm not surprised that the radiation got to me, but you can fix the poisoning?"

Sadenes chuckled as she began adding different tiny vials into a cylinder with a nozzle.
"Of course, dear. When space travel was still in its infancy, radiation was a big deal. We conquered radiation sickness before we conquered AIDS and NRS."
She handed him the dispenser.
"Twice a day, exactly 12 hours apart, press that against your carotid artery. After two days, you should be fine. After two days, I can fix the damage caused so you'll be good as new."
She winked at him.
"Can't have our new crew members feeling under the weather, can we?"

He watched as the doctor began loading tiny vials into what looked like some kind of injector, while talking about radiation being a major issue in space travel. Not surprising, if they developed anything like they would have. Logically they would have used a small enough fusion reactor to power a ship with enough engines to propel a large manned crew, especially if they intended to start colonizing other worlds. between that and the radiations of space it would have been an issue for them too. So yeah, radiation would be a major problem, until they could fix it. He accepted the injector when it was handed to him, looking it over momentarily as she instructed him to use it twice a day for just two days, and she'd be able to fix it. Then he looked back to her, surprised, as she said 'new crew members'.
"Crew members? I guess it makes sense we won't just be freeloading here, with the damages, but crew?"
Maybe others he didn't know about did, but he had no idea how to do much of anything here. The few computer systems he'd seen around them didn't look like they'd even seen anything he'd recognize for generations, there wasn't going to be much scavenging to be done, they had trained people already and although he was confident he could figure out how to aim and fire one of those plasma weapons, if things he'd read were true, he hadn't the slightest idea how to operate that powered armor they had been wearing, and considering the damage he'd seen anything less would be roasted by those weapons. So that ruled out security, repair, and scavenging, what all else would they have need of him or almost anyone else here for? Or was it just for some more hands? Maybe they had been brought up just because they couldn't be left to die, but what were they here to do now that they were actually here? Almost without thinking he raised a sleeve, looking down at the old watch he wore. Completely non electronic, all springs and gears and quarts, the thing was still fully functional and kept time accurately. He didn't know exactly what time it was, of course, but it ticked off a second for every second that passed, so it would work as a timer for this. He raised up the injector, feeling his neck with his thumb for a moment or two until he lined up with the right artery, then stuck it in. If the delivery was by needle or other painful penetrative method, his face grimaced a bit at the stabbing but held the injector steady until it was done. If it did something like fictional hyposprays and just sort of injected it without breaking skin, then that was nice. But either way it was going in as his watch clicked to the next minute.

Sadenes made a scoffing sound.
"Oh, don't act so worried, child. The Captain won't force people to work. We already have a few freeloaders aboard. Though if anyone has skills, I'm sure she'll try and convince them to join. As I recall, the marines are almost untouched."
She entered something into his file.
"Well, if that's all, it's off to the see the Captain. Step through the door over there and into the corridor. Near the door at the end of the hallway, to the left, you'll see a door marked Conference."
She gestured to the marine, who went to go retrieve another refugee.

The marine escorted her into the lift and out into Sickbay, though she waited by the door as Sadenes shoo'd Gavin out the door.
"Ah, hello there, child. Might I get your name, birthday, and allergies please?"
She held a padd that had Rose's picture on it, even though no pictures were ever taken of them prior.

Rose thanked the marine that escorted her to the sickbay and stepped out of the elevator and into the sickbay, nodding at Gavin as he made his way out. She then focused her attention on the woman in front of her who was asking for information. She was about to answer when she realized the woman's padd that she held had a picture of her on it. She blinked up at her for a moment and ran a hand through her hair before finally speaking. "Oh, hello. Rosalie Amber Thorn.. but I just go by Rose. And my birthday is August 19th, 1992. No allergies." She paused for a moment before releasing her hair and asking curiously "How do you have a picture of me? I don't remember having my picture taken." Her multicolored eyes watched the woman carefully as she waited for a response.

She entered the information, mumbling under her breath.
"Goes by 'Rose...'"
She looked up and gave her a grandmotherly smile.
"Oh, my dear, this is a warship. Security has surveillance in all sensitive areas, including the Shuttlebay. Though, by the angle, a Marine probably snapped it. Perhaps on the planet, when you were scanned for infectious diseases? Now, do you, or have you ever smoked?"

"Well, if your any example, the Marines seem to like wearing that armor a lot, which probably helped save lives."
He'd gestured towards slightly and looked at the Marine that had come up here with him, sending that to her directly as well, so she wasn't just being talked about like she wasn't there. He knew it was frustrating, after all. But then he looked back to the doctor again as the injector was rested in his lap.
"I'm not sure how many of us are going to have skills that she can use, although maybe the nurses and Falk could make themselves useful down here."
But with that, he stood up. There really weren't any other medical issues he had, so the doctor would have a lot more people to see.
"I'll go to see the Captain then, since I have no other medical problems. And Doctor? Thank you for your help. Both for me and for the others. We all appreciate it."
Then he left as he was shoo'd out, before the lift returned with the next person
