Ellies eyes turned away from Nine and guilt overwhelmed her. "That's different." She said trying not to think about what she did. " I'm not going to become a hit man, if that's what you guys are after." She threw her last one as it his the target perfectly center.

Nine shouted this time instead of normally speaking. He stood and set his book on the table. He took a deep breath and then spoke in a calmer tone. "I am not training you to become a hit man I am training you to defend yourself against people like Eight."

Ellie shook her head. "you feel you are here against your will?" She truly didnt know that he was a killer. To her, he was hero who saved her from village men. She didnt feel forced here, she followed, came back and choose to stay. Apart of her didnt believe Nine, she didnt want too anyways. She knew eight was something more, she felt it when she touched him.
"Attack you?" She couldnt bring herself to attack him. Like Eight, she didnt want to attack someone who had been kind to her. "Alright---" She charged Nine throwing a left punch towards his jaw.

Nine used his right hand to smack her arm away and then brought his elbow to her neck stopping about an inch from it. "When facing a weaker opponent moves like that will gain you victory however when facing a stronger opponent you must be faster. Don't go for wild swings, take focused shots direct to the target and land as many as you can."

With his elbow to her neck, she knew he was right, she was always one to be impulsive, and now it was getting in the way of her training. She took a deep breath and remembered what she just learned. She flipped backwards quickly grabbing the first sharp object she saw and flung it in Nine's direction, hoping for a hit.

Nine brought his hand up to catch the object but it was at a bad angle and instead it went through his palm and out the back. His eyes widened as he grabbed the handle and pulled the object out. "You didn't follow up you always have to follow up..." He said before clenching his teeth and getting the object out of his hand. The wound closed and it seemed as if nothing had happened almost instantly after he pulled it out.

Nine picked up a chopstick and threw it at Ellie with enough speed to send it straight through her, but once it was out of his hand he immediately closed the distance between then and spun attempting to sweep her legs from under her with his leg

Ellie's lack of speed allowed the chopstick to pierce her shoulder, but before she could really think about the pain, her back hit the floor, knocking the wind from her body. Now she understood Nine.
She closed her eyes, and he shoulder healed it's self, slowly she sat up to regain her breath and she stared at nine. "Who am I protecting myself from?"
